Nice place, nice staff, away from the crowded Greenwich Village tourist area. Very disappointed by the poor quality scones, sourced from Tesco. It’s a small business, they should know how to promote other small businesses/local bakeries

Scones are ready made from Tesco (we recognised them because we buy them frequently). The waffles are also pre-made. Disappointing. However, nice service & ambiance

Royal Teas……Get yourself there!! If you’re a traditional English afternoon tea lover, this is your place! We’re in the park devouring every morsel of this amazing boxed ‘Prosecco tea’ and I felt compelled to review it, as we eat! Heaven in a box! Thank you all for the warm welcome and the box of delightfulness! We’ll be back for more, for sure! We LOVED it! ❤️

The place si cozy and the food selection is great. However, waiting for a table may be too long and not pleasant.

Wat een super leuk en schattig tentje. Het eten wordt vers bereid. We hebben enorm genoten. Als ik 1 tip mag geven voor de bediening... iets meer lachen naar de gasten komt vriendelijker over. Bij zo'n tentje verwacht je een trotse eigenaar of personeel maar dat ontbrak hier wel. Jammer! Maar, eten was heerlijk!

Extremely good milkshake. Delicious hot scone. Lovely tea. Friendly staff. Caution: the place is tiny; only about 14 seats indoors and some more outdoors in front of the shops.

We spent a very enjoyable day in Greenwich Monday 10th July. We spotted this little tea room and as we were ready for a midday break , we gave it a go. My only criticism was that it took a while to be served and again a long while to get our order. The place wasn't awfully busy so it mystified me as to why the long wait. My other criticism was with the lady serving (one with the tattoos) really should try and be a little more pleasant. A little smile goes a long long way. That said . Next time we visit the area I would call in here again .

What a lucky find thanks to the helpful lady from ‘The Cheeseboard’ down the road. Roasted vegetable and goats cheese quiche and salmon and cream cheese baguette followed by carrot cake, walnut and coffee cake and cappuccino all delicious. Thank you 😊

A lovely little cafe in a really pleasant environment. The staff are polite and the food is delicious! Also it is a dog-friendly café and is a 5 minute walk from Greenwich park.

Food was decent but the service was hilariously terrible! Very unfriendly staff, seemingly resentful of customers asking for a table, ordering food, or paying the bill...

Just popped in to grab a coffee to go and also grabbed a slice of banana and butterscotch cake as well. The coffee was great and the cake was delicious.

Royal Teas is a hidden Greenwich gem. Primarily brunch food with daily specials such as soup, quiche or salad and changes with the seasons. Food is made fresh and the cakes are an added surprise and are tasty. Afternoon tea is also available. Reasonably priced. You may have to queue sometimes for a table as there are only a handful of tables inside.

Brilliant local spot for coffee/breakfast in the lovely Royal Hill

We really liked having breakfast at Royal Teas. We had fruit salad, salmon and eggs, avocado toast and huevos bravos. Everything delicious, good portions, fruit was fresh and really appreciated, juices as well really fresh and made at the moment; service was quick as well. We also bought some loose leaf earl grey tea, apple and lemon, and fennel. Can't wait to taste them at home. Very appreciated from my Italian parents that came to visit, they really appreciated that everything was fresh and the place was quite and welcoming. Definitely will be back to try the cakes, they have gluten free options as well.

Great neighborhood spot with a nice food selection, great coffee and freshly squeezed juice. We were only here for a week but had breakfast here a couple times. This is a do not miss spot.

So calm and distinguish place. A breakfast there was pretty tasty and tea was served in the British way, which i really appreciated. Worth visiting

This place was the highlight of our London trip. Absolutely incredible afternoon tea, with fresh baked warm scones, delicious sandwiches, excellent tea, and a massive slice of freshly made cake all for under £12! The cutest café only a ten minute walk from the port. When we got off our boat tour in Greenwich it felt a bit like a cruise stop, covered in tourists and overpriced places. I found this spot on Google to get out of the madness and am so glad we walked the ten minutes to enjoy it. I can’t recommend it enough!!!

Had a wonderful Sunday morning breakfast with family. Food, coffee, juices we're great along with the friendly service even with a very full cafe. Loads of locals meet here, which is always a good sign and reflects the fairly priced menu. There's a small patio out front that catches the strong sun on clear summer mornings (yes, they do have those in London) but only 1 umbrella. Investing in one additional umbrella would be a plus. Overall I loved the Sunday morning experience. Returned on Tuesday morning to a mostly empty cafe but a very unfriendly server who really couldn't be bothered and was overwhelmed by the 6 guests present. It was more of a curt "what do you want" compared to the welcoming atmosphere of the weekend. I'd give 5 stars for Sunday and 1 star for Tuesday's experience, so an average of 3. Pick your day and hopefully management can take a more active roll in providing guidance and training, even in these early days of adjusting to the new post-pandemic normal.

Had the cream tea and it was all delicious!! The kids had the waffles and loved it. The scones we're absoluty the best! Delicious! The waitress was really rude to us. She didnt like that we waited for a table of four to leave, but they offered it to us and we're very friendly. She did her best to make us feel not welcome, but we didnt mind. We had a lovely time anyway!

What a lovely place to have brunch It was definitely worth the trek from Stanmore. The food was lovely. I wanted to try everything! the staff were polite and friendly. Where the cafe is situated is perfect. I wish I lived closer. I had a cream tea which was such a great price. Sandwich, scone, cake and tea for just over £10 Lush! Looking forward to my next visit ❤

Just the most amazing afternoon tea experience! Everything was homemade and the afternoon tea menu was so filling! The owners were very friendly, and the café was so cute! It was only ~£11 for the ”cream tea“ menu, complete with tea/coffee, scone + jam + clotted cream, finger sandwiches, and cake. Also very vegan-friendly! The café was a bit out of the way, but it’s local and part of the charm. If you want a local tea experience (and not the tourist-oriented afternoon tea extravaganza), we highly recommend Royal Teas!

Charming little tea house, with great breakfast plates. Have been dozens of times over the years and it always brings a smile to me. Sometimes I have to go on a walk around until there's a table available. Totally worth it.

Great little café, in a nice cosy location offering a wide range of vegetarian breakfast options, cafés and coffees. The atmosphere was good, staff were helpful and friendly. Would recommend if you're in the area.

The menu states ‘vegan options available’ but, when asked, the waiter couldn’t come up with one. Also weird how a café that is proudly vegetarian serves salmon and struggles with vegan alternatives. 🧐 The food was nice, although they could be a little more generous with the avocado on toast. Great healthy fresh juices. Coffee-wise I found much better just around the corner.

What a wonderful place. We were looking for a place to enjoy a cream tea on our trip to Greenwich. Found this little cafe just off the city centre - and fell in love. Everything was made with love and passion - we ordered the cream tea and the sandwichs, scones and the slice of cake all were really tasty. So if you don't want to spend your money in a soulless chain cafe, come here!

Service was very good. Cozy place with more than reasonable prices. I particularly liked the large variety of cakes for such a small place. The tea was nice and in general the portions were generous for the price. The scones were just amazing! I'm definitely going back for more.

The breakfast at Royal Teas was absolutely delicious. Everyone had something different and all arrived at the same time. The breakfast was beautifully presented and everybody thoroughly enjoyed their meals. The prices are extremely reasonable and the customer service was second to none. We enjoyed the surroundings and the aesthetic of the building immensely. We will definitely return soon!

Really feel for an independent cafe they ought to brush up on their customer service. We ordered I went to the ladies when I came out of the ladies I was barked at my a woman with tattoos to sit down it would be brought to us. Crikey! I offered to pay for us and she said “pay later”. So much choice in Greenwich and I think they behave in his manner as they think it’s tourist trade but we live locally! Avoid 😒

Giving them one Star as I don’t have the option to give them zero. I took my partner there for brunch as a birthday treat. We were waiting for a table as it was busy. There was a couple before us standing waiting for a table, Once they were seated the waitress came and told us to wait outside in a rude manner. On a windy and rainy day, that was not an ideal option. As someone who works in hospitality management, that could have been dealt with totally differently. RUDE. Definitely, never coming back.

Beautiful location, nice ambience inside, heuvos bravas was delicious. A bit too much tea in the teapot for the gunpowder tea so the second cup from the pot was very bitter.

We had the cream tea late on a Saturday afternoon. Gorgeous freshly made sandwich, warm scone with jam and clotted cream and delicious cakes! We chose coffee and walnut and lemon drizzle. Lovely atmosphere in small venue. Ray, the host, was very welcoming and we enjoyed chatting with him. Highly recommend a visit when in Greenwich.

Their cream tea is an excellent choice if you want a taste and pomp of an afternoon tea without the epically full feeling. 1 sandwich + tea + 1 scone + a slice of cake. Just right

AMAZING tea, cake, scrambled eggs....everything basically! I have been coming here for 20+ years and can say that it's so incredibly good I asked Ray if he might make the cakes for my Mum's funeral wake. He did, and they were fabulous, decorated with beautiful flowers and hand written labels. Ray is amazing, and of course so is his cafe. I love Royal Teas, it's just incredible. Thank you!

Seats roughly 15 people on a good day with tables outside. Delightful antidote to the big chains. Excellent choice of teas, served properly in a pot. Wonderful cake, carrot cake must surely count as one of your five-day veggies. Breakfast probably the best things.

It's a shame, food is great. But the second time we went and asked if we could sit anywhere, the server said "yes, but not for 4 hours this time". This was a disappointment and we were taken aback cause when we had a good experience the last time we were there to work. We ordered several times and we were mindful that there was always a table available. Regardless, they simply could have told us that day that they have a quick turnover and we would've gladly hurried up. 🤷‍♀️ this rating is purely for this experience. I'd recommend you visit, just don't stay for 4 hours.

Sometimes I have my breakfast burrito wrap takeaway if no table is available, but if there's a table, then it is definitely best huevos bravos in town. Great food and drinks, great staff, great atmosphere. And did you know that they also have a great coffee selection in beans or fresh ground.

You won’t find a better Veggie Breakfast in London

Best cream tea in London, hands down.

The place isn't the BEST, per se. The outside tables are kind of rickety plastic, and close to the outside areas was some resident's trash (the cute rose bush somewhat mollified any negative feelings towards the bag or resident). Nevertheless, the location on Royal Hill street is beautiful. It's a fantastically cozy street away from the hub-bub of the area around the greenwich market. The houses on the street are picturesque (despite the construction going on), you can see many families there. The food itself was actually very good, and they were very willing to adjust to any changes we wanted to make to what was on the menu. The prices, for london, were incredibly cheap. For two meals with extras, a coffee, a milkshake and fresh juice we paid 20 pounds. As a bonus, they offered different blends of coffees and were helpful in deciding to choose which one. So, for a nice weekend brunch that isn't too expensive I can easily recommend this place.

Had a very nice experience, coconut cake was delicious and I had to have something else I then waffle with strawberry, raspberry, banana, blueberry and kiwi that was amazing. The place is very cosy and very personal it's just lovely.

Tried the banana butterscotch cake which was okay, needed a lot more icing in ratio with the cake. Coffee was a miss, but they do vegan milkshakes which was a plus.
