Pretty basic food nothing to write home about Not licensed and next to a noisy amusement arcade Expensive for what it is No cutlery either Disappointed to be honest

Came in, nice service, good tasting food but we literally paid £7.50 for a chip and salad wrap that was supposed to be a chicken gyros.

Great place to eat good service,staff and reasonable price for food plus good choice of menu deffo go back again.

We go here every time we holiday in North Wales. Big food without the huge price. One of our family is a vegetarian and although what he wanted was not on the menu the staff bent over backwards to accommodate us. There is quite a large menu to choose from and although the menu can be called a bit greasy spoon, it's an American style diner. What do you expect. Anyway, we love the place. Can't wait to go back. If you're anywhere near Towyn and hungry do ROUTE 66, I dare you. Don't have breakfast before you go though. 😂😂

Please dont waste your money eat elsewhere cheap disgusting burgers etc and not cheap for a family considering they definitely must use the cheapest ingredients

Awful. The worst takeaway I have ever had. Quantity (with the fries) not quality. Couldn’t eat it, waste of money. The chicken burger was the cheapest type of a frozen burger you could buy for 20p in a supermarket, put on a very plain bun with a piece of lettuce. The fries, yuk yuk yuk, never ever ever tasted any so greasy. Couldn’t eat them. Went for the cheesy fries which just made it worse! Runny cheese from a bottle that had been squirted on and that compounded the ‘wetness’ and greasiness of the fries. All binned. Expensive mistake as the whole family had a takeaway from there and all thrown away.

Best burger in UK in my opinion. Spent a week with family close to 66 and ended up eating from there 6 out of 8 nights. Love it! Driving up next weekend just for tea!

Could have easily walked straight past. But so glad we didn't! The food was really tasty if your hungry it's the place to go 🙌 portions are huge and prices brilliant. Staff were all so friendly,polite and helpful. I'd definitely say give this place a visit

Good little place with a diner feel. The food was delivered within minutes of ordering and was fine, not breath taking but was ok. Fair to middle priced with meal deals 8£ ish

Popped in to arcade and decided to grab a bite to eat. Food was great and price was very reasonable. Customer service was brilliant and was welcomed with a smile. Would highly recommend

We had burger and chips while having a stroll up the street. Decent sized portions and a good price. Option to eat in too but we just had ours to go. Pleasant staff and very clean.

The chairs had been not cleaned. Covered in salt. The menu felt dirty in the hand. I asked for a steak wrap, whilst am not expecting gourmet steak for £8 to be served minute fry steak is an insult. Didn't have regular coke and could only provide Pepsi Max. The food was served with some weed plastic bag around it which cut up and got mixed in with the wrap. The only positive was the fact that the food came inside 5 minutes

We have been a few times now and we are never disappointed, they also allowed our dog to come in with us. The burgers are really lovely and the portions are big. Good atmosphere. I would highly recommend a visit, and I will definately be returning. Thank you.

All 8 of us had various snacks on a day out. It was reasonably priced and lovely staff. The food was great

The freshest best burgers around. The meals are huge so come hungry. Great friendly staff definitely worth popping in.

Although the food was great and huge amount per person, I would recommend that you eat inside rather than order from the hatch on the street. Being first in the queue I waited 30 minutes for an order of two burgers to be presented, whilst many meals were given out to diners inside. However, I would advise that you share unless you can eat a horse and the portions are huge.

Had a breakfast our hole table ended up with a bad stomuch! Place is filthy . High chairs are Digusting

Called to the Route 66 Diner Towyn for a bit of lunch on 7th July 2018. We had the Meatball Melt which was Meatballs in a tomato sauce with melted cheese over then and served with garlic bread and bread sticks + a side salad and 2 cold drinks. We placed our order and sat down at a table with a an umbrella as it were a hot day. We had just sat down when the drinks arrived, about 5mins later the meatballs arrived. They were excellent very tasty, we were very impressed with the food and the service. The price was reasonable. A little taste of Italy in Towyn we will be calling again

Went for breakfast here as it wasn’t full it looked promising but it was disgusting so greasy the only thing I liked was the beans, sausages were Asda smart price bacon was saltier than ready salted crisps hash browns tasted like onions also the staff were useless the waitress was very snobby and rude (looked about 12) very lazy staff and didn’t even make sure if everything was okay and lastly the slush was not a slush it was water in a cheap plastic cup. Went to BJ’S the next a lot cheaper and nicer worth every penny and great service

Just popped over for a sausage bap. Cheap sausages, stale bread and no butter. It’s a shame because we were considering going for dinner one night as the menu looks fab.

We visited Route 66 on Sunday 8th May 2018, we received a warm welcome from the lovely staff who took the order for our food and drinks swiftly. The menu is excellent there is loads to choose from and at great prices as well. The food was absolutely amazing was totally stuffed but still managed a freak shake mmmmmm. Overall an excellent place to eat great food, great prices and great staff couldn't fault it we will be returning soon :-)

We was staying in a caravan in Towyn in wales, and although self catering, we decided to treat ourselves to eat out.

Best food in towyn by far the grand canyon is the best chicken burger I have had recommend this place to anybody A+

Seen this place on fb for a while and wanted to give it a try, won’t be rushing back, it’s ok but nothing to shout about, the chicken burger has the smallest chicken piece I had ever seen, the hash brown was full of oil and the gravy was vile! Also the drinks are cheap and nasty-rola cola! We both had chicken so maybe the beef burgers are a lot better, probably won’t go back to find out!

The staff were Friendly made you feel comfortable. delicious food reasonably riced highly recommended you would not think from view point that the diner was anything to rave about it was scrumptious

Here at route 66 people thing its a greasy spoon diner on a front but your mistaken the food.is really nice friendly staff and offers out side sitting im not using any where elses for my food in wales

Popped in for lunch. Café inside is set out really nice, American diner. All had burgers with real grated cheese inside of a cheese slice on which was lovely, burgers really nice too. Staff were really friendly and attentive. Would defo go back again.

The food is fantastic and the staff are so lovely. It's the first place my kids ask to go to for birthdays or when we are on holiday and I always recommend it to everyone going into wales. Best food in wales

The staff are friendly, the food is fit,the place is kept clean and tidy. If you love your burgers then this is the place for you.We had a lovely day in towyn and having our diner at route 66 was the icing on the cake. Keep up the good work guys. The Rocky Balboa challenge looks like a bridge too far for me but if your a greedy sod then give it a go.

Called in here with the children for meal. I'm not a burger kind of person I'm a very fussy eater but the boys wanted to try it. Pleasantly surprised . Good portions quick service very polite staff . Very clean the boys enjoyed the food they ate burgers I had a hot dog (which my friends will be shocked about ) it was fine . Reasonable prices about £6 each for meal and drinks . They also do children's meals . Usual kind of stuff chicken nuggets etc we went in the arcade for half an hour boys were well entertained lots of 2p machines. And ticket machines .

El personal era muy agradable y amable. Entorno es justo al lado de una sala de juegos, pero muy como un Diner americano

Mientras visitaba el mercado tir prince nos tropezamos con el route 66 diner, que es exactamente lo opuesto. Está en el mismo edificio que la sala de juegos, así que luchando a través de la hamburguesa (que Quadfather no podría gestionar), los niños pueden correr a su corazón!

Good food, fast service. Lots of different types of food available including happy meals for kids. Prices are good.

We read many a review on here as we all probably do and i decided to take the chance as the kids were moaning they had not eaten after a long drive, so we popped in for a burger and chips and we should have carried on driving!! The grub was okay at best the burger was greasy and the fries lukewarm at best the drinks were served warm out of the fridge all in all not my best choice of pit stop next time ..... sorry there will not be a next time.

Went with family after seeing reviews on here was brilliant staff amazing an food was lovely took on the quadburger challenge and done it although finished me off for the night (It's massive) will be back really the best place we visited to eat whilst on our stay in towyn. thank you see you again soon

Had a lovely time today and staff very pleasant. I order the the ultimate challenge burger managed to finish it all off. Struggled but did it. Will defo be going back for the freaky shake. Just never had room for one after all them burgers. Well done guys

We tried route 66 for an evening meal as it was a warm evening four of us ordered cold drinks only to be told we don't sell cold soft drinks so we ordered milkshakes but these where warm too when we asked we don't sell cold drinks then then food arrived it should of been hot but it wasn't and they said they don't serve anything but you get warm drinks and cold food maybe they should swoop the chef and make him the drink maker fans the server to cook the food . I will be recommending all the people to keep clear

Visited with my family for a quick bite to eat whilst passing through the area, choice was brilliant, meal deals great value for money, premises were comfortable and clean & the staff were so polite and obliging. My kids had freak shakes after the meal - we were speechless at the content and effort that went into them, the little ones were blown away . Wished we lived closer to frequent this diner more often. Give it a go - you won't be disappointed

Myself and my husband went there with my 2 brothers today and the food was amazing, hot and tasty, with a drink included. There is lots of food on your plate at very competitive prices and the staff were really friendly, we would definitely visit again and we will recommend it to others.

Had burger meal with wife if you like fancy burgers with various sauces appears the place to eat.If you like a plain basic burger only found it average.Burger and chips ok.

Great value for families on a budget and the food was delicious too.We liked the decor of the restaurant and the place seemed to be spotlessly clean. Give it a go,we did and loved it,we will be back next time in towyn.

Amazing food friendly staff and did i mention the food. Its right inside the amusement arcades which are not too bad. The diner is small but wonderfully decorated. I had an Elvis burger which went down a treat and was so filling. Kids meals are not to bad I was a little disappointed about the hot digs for the kids but to be honest the food is really good and please try one if the milkshakes with the toppings smoochie or whatever there called they are fabulous and great for the price.

Well worth a visit. Food is gorgeous and not too expensive. My fella had the quad burger which is huge and comes with lots of fries and beans. I'm very fussy at eating out but the diner was absolutely spotless. Plus the Staff are brilliant with the kids . X well done. . We will be back to try more from your menu.

Had meals here, burger ok but tasted of cheap meat. I had the chicken burger called the Elvis which was lovely and the kids had other items which they enjoyed. The downside was the music! The cafe was playing Elvis tunes and the arcade was playing thump thump music and the two did not combine even tho they were the same building, had a really bad headache when we left, also no toilet facilities that night.

I visited route 66 quite a few times on this holiday the food was nice reasonable priced and large portions couldn't eat it all staff were friendly most of the time could've smiled a bit more and a shame it wasn't particend off from the amusement arcade where you had the noise from the machines and people walking through

Ate here twice while on holiday. Fresh and hot. Decent portions, you won't leave hungry. Food is delicious. Tried both the buddy holly burger and the Grand Canyon, both amazing. Great customer service. Will be back next year.

Called here after getting tired of overpriced bigger chains. Prices made me dubious to start but staff are all warm and welcoming . I took on the Quadfather challenge and it was just right size. Ladies had the burgernators . Food arrived hot well presented and tasy. Needlessly to say there was 3 empty plates soon after . This was a birthday treat for me and on the manager hearing that he appeared with a cupcake and candle. A bonus treat after a thoroughly enjoyable meal. Would highly recommend route 66 to locals and visitors alike .

We stopped off here on our way through towyn ... just to get a drink and let the children play in the arcade ...So we ordered our drinks and sat down ..Then we seen all the food that was coming out it looked amazing . So we decided to stay for lunch ..so glad we did ..My husband and I had a Vegas burger meal each .. and might I add it was one of the nicest meals we've had in a long time the children had hot dog kids meals ...Would definitely recommend and will most definitely be coming back ..Thanks route 66 for a lovely lunch !!

Had to check this place out when we found out there was a Quadfather burger challenge! ...As you can see from the photos, the burgers were epic! Well cooked and flavorful. we both finished our burgers but the whole plate was too much to handle for usThe kids had chicken nuggets and hot dogs with chips... All really good. And served quickly. Well worth a try folks :-D

The food is excellent. My family have eaten here on many occasions and Route 66 has recently been taken over by new management and I have got to say, what a difference. The diner is clean and inviting and the food is delicious and very reasonably priced. The staff are extremely kind and friendly and make you feel very welcome. We spend alot of time in Towyn and always look forward to eating at Route 66. We would definitely recommend to anyone.

Had a quick bite to eat here before we headed back home.. We both had the burger and chips the burger was tasty and the chips were amazing and very quick.. We sat outside on the benches as the sun was shining.The man serving was very friendly.See you soon.

Visited here as a family of 6. Most of us had the burgernator meal with was massive and cheap. 2 burgers, bacon, hash brown, cheese, salad, fries and a drink all for £7.50! Staff very pleasant and helpful! Definitely worth a visit and thank you to all at Route 66 for looking after us

I took a short break to the sea-side resort of Towyn for a few days this weekend and it was just by chance that we stumbled by what "looked" to be a quick fast food restaurant. We were much mistaken! The food was not only fantastic value for money and great tasting, the service was fast and friendly. A must visit if you're in the area! I must add, that it's clear that the restaurant has changed ownership, since it's poor reviews listed previously do not match the standard of service and food provided.Thanks ROUTE 66!

popped in here after coming off the fair and was surprised by how lovely the place was. food served in little baskets and was really tasty, staff were great nothing was too much trouble

Visited Towyn in August and this diner is ideal for where we are staying. Lovely hot, fresh, tasty chips. Recommend if passing by to buy some.

A member of the staff at this cafe requires customer service training! she was extremely rude and gave a family member of mine stale food. When called up on this she denied the food was stale and without being told to decided to taste the food herself. When she decided she didn't care the food was 'fine' she gave it back. When asked for a refund she said no and was extremely rude and used disgusting language in front of children, never again will I visit this horrible cafe and I would strongly suggest people go elsewhere.

I've eaten here twice as a family and got a seat inside both times (there is a outside area and its next to an amusement arcade). I had chicken and chips, daughter had lasagne and hubby and other daughter had burgers. The meal came quickly, great portion size and polite staff. The place is very clean and very reasonably priced. Definitely revisit again next time we are in towyn.

Excellent take away food cant fault it quick service and you could eat outside on the benches we visited 3 time while on holiday Kids thought it was a great place. Great slushes.

visited here last year as it looked a good place to eat with it's american theme but was disappointed with the lack of options on the menu (just burgers) and how bad it taste! visited TOWYN again this year and heard it was under new management and was pleasentley surprised at the new menu with a much wider choice of food and very reasonably priced! tasty too! will definitely eat here again!

Stopped here for dinner as it looked a nice place, ordered 3 burger and chips and 3 kids meals. Burgers tasted like tinned nasty cheap burgers and chips tasted of fat, not nice at all! also got told rather bluntly there were no kids drinks, someone had gone to get some and they will be at least an hour

this a new place and the food is nice and it is to do with route 66 and drink are not to much which is go when u do not have a lot of money and a good place to take young familys
