This place is such a find! My son had his 21st Birthday Party here and it was out of this world. The staff couldn't do enough to help and the hire included access to the grounds including their brand new play equipment. Ideal space for anyone as it included an inside area with kitchen as well as grounds. The food they provided was scrumptious and very ptrofessionally laid out.

Hi folks let's help keep this venue open. It is run by folk with special needs and needs all the help from the public to keep it running. The cafe is open daily and serves an array of simple basic foods from sandwiches to scampi&chips all for an affordable amount of money. They serve tea coffee and home made cake the bread pudding is fantastic. Please please don't let this be another council statistic where they can't find the money to keep it open.

We often frequent this cafe for breakfast since out initial lovely experience in April. Since then we have also had the vegetarian sunday roast here and wanted to specially compliment the chef Janine (hope we spelt your name right!) It was so delicious i felt we must review it. Especially since we were told their signs for the roast dinners was stolen from the front entrance - who would do such a thing ? This place is special as it is run by the most kind hearted staff we've ever had the pleasure of being waited on by. Thank you so much and may all your kindness return to you all

We called this cafe to ask if they did a vegetarian breakfast and they usually only do it on a weekend however as we wanted to go on a weekday the lovely lady on the phone told us they would make an exception. This is a place where they train people with learning difficulties and what a warm and friendly welcome we were met with by literally ALL the staff. From Ian and James who were making sure the place was spotless to Denise at the kiosk taking the orders to Jeanine the chef who cooked the delicious ample vegetarian breakfast with her lovely team. The pot of tea was very delicious and you even get a tea cosy to keep it nice and warm. The breakfast portion was sizeable. The vegetarian breakfast consisted of 3 fried eggs, 3 hash browns , tinned tomatoes, 3 vegetarian soya sausages, mushrooms, beans toast and a pot of tea all for just £6.50 ! We were very full indeed. We decided therefore to return later for the homemade desserts. We had bread and butter pudding and a carrot cake. Very large slices and again prices so reasonable. As others have said it's very tucked away and we've only just discovered this cafe after being in the area 7 years ! Lovely hidden treasure. Cannot praise the experience enough. If you want to experience top hospitality and a warm welcome with lovely smiles to make your day this is the place to come. We felt honoured to have the whole place to ourself wondering where all the crowds of people are as this place is full of such good energy and you can taste the love they put into the food. Definitely will be a place we return to again and again now. The garden centre is lovely as is the walks and everywhere you go it's so clean.

This is a café with a difference. The decor is bright, cheerful and immaculate. The staff are friendly if not necessarily fast, but they have a great pride in their work. The food is delicious and carefully presented: the salad was fresh and varied, a huge mound of crisps and a perfectly cooked bacon and cheddar panini! Good coffee too.

Found this place by chance when the local garden centre up the road had closed down, wish I had found it a lot earlier. Lovely friendly staff look after the garden area and the cafe. Its basically a work based training facility for adults with learning disabilities specialising in training skills such as horticulture and catering. The plants are really varied and excellent value. The cafe is fairly traditional, I didn't try the cakes but they looked great. Thinks it needs much more publicity as its a bit hidden away. Five stars. Spread the word!!

We went to a cafe in a nearby antiques centre and sat there with no staff appearing despite calling out to the back room. We left and decided to find somewhere more welcoming. By chance I saw a sign for a garden centre and hoped they had a cafe. What a difference! We received a wave from a gentleman sweeping up leaves outside as we pulled up and felt welcome as soon as we walked in the cafe. I have since discovered the cafe and garden centre are run by ECL, an adult social care company, and the wonderful people they have chosen make the place so special. We were approached by a lovely gentleman called Paul to take our order and we up had such a nice conversation with him. The food and the service are wonderful and we will definitely be back.
