Rude staff, serve their mates first and never have chips ready. Disgrace of an old lady behind the counter no customer service. Avoid

Ordered on Just Eat, never arrived. Would actually score them zero, no idea what the food is like. Phoned to politely ask where my order was, was actually told by an extremely rude woman they have no drivers, then refused a refund. Would avoid at all cost

This is an exceptional place. Modern, clean, friendly and efficient staff, and of course great food. I had the jumbo haddock supper which was superb

Been using this chipper frequently and was always impressed with food and service but the past twice I have been there I’ve been very disappointed, staff were squabbling amongst each other and the food was not up to usual standard the chips were cold and ended up in bin so I think it’s time to find an alternative chipper

Staff act like they can't be bothered & no very helpful, went in half hour before closing & she refused to cook because they close at ten pm eh" 9.30 ? Couple of other Times Staff just can't be bothered lazy....

I've walked out of this place before because of their disdain for customers, complete disorganisation, long waiting times, being ignored while the staff chat with each other ... and so on. This time though, I've walked out for the last time and won't be back. The number of good chippers in Aberdeen is falling quickly, and Rosehill isn't one of the good ones any more. The pizza, kebab, Chinese. Indian and other cuisines are no longer that much more expensive than fish & chips, and their level of service is far and away better on so many levels. After waiting a bit more than ten minutes I'd still not had an acknowledgement that I was there, and no order taken. I wanted fish, which I think they cook to order, so whenever they deigned to take an order another wait would begin. I don't understand why other takeaways manage to take an order as soon as folk walk in, and this is how their other shop, Oor Wullie's, works, but a long wait in a completely random customer space seems to be the order of the day at Rosehill.

Sorry but really disappointed at fish supper tonight. Quick delivery but still warm not hot chips ok but standard fish was soo disappointed in. More batter than fish. Certainly not a big fish or fresh. Never again

Worst fish supper ever, the batter was all gooey !! Couldn’t eat it, picked fish out of it, chips were the dregs… never again.

This was always a great place but has went downhill over the past few years. I only order here when my favourite place is closed so after 8pm at night. I give them the benefit of the doubt but yet again tonight, someone got the wrong order and it was only one box, customer service is terrible, I have no idea why some of them have jobs and my husband couldn’t eat his king rib, it was vile. Under no circumstances will I go back and spend my money there again. They have had too many chances

Excellent food, bit of a mix up at the end, salt & vinegar put on everything when not all likes it. Good staff

First times to used ,never again. Chips and cheese is cold .cheese is not mealt. Another problem is staff. Is not friendly , one more things ,how is possible working and kitchen with gel nails. I am chef and known EHO and Healht and Safety. If someone allergy or any bacterial on the food???? No Recommendations....

The short chubby blonde lady is the worst employee of the entire city. Very rude, it seems how much she hates her job and attending customers. Incredible how she works for the place.

Young look girl working there really rude said to my partner I’m not serving u then he waited 15 mins I came and she served me straight away!! Not happy at all

Very unfortunate visit, We ordered the king rib supper and it very under cooked to the point I couldn't eat it the chips wasn't very pleasing too, hopefully this review is helpful to people.

Best fish and chips in the city.

This is a shop I have used before and haven’t had any problems, this being the first time I have used Deliveroo and the Jumbo Haddock was three inches shorter than usual badly over cooked bone dry and was not freshly cooked. I can only think for customers who aren’t in the shop the rule must be send them anything I am very disappointed and won’t be using this shop again daylight robbery .

Order from here quite often and this was the worst we have ever received. Most of Staff were not being friendly at all. Had a wait to get my order in as they were too busy talking, asked for 2 large portions of chips and a jumbo sausage to which I was informed they needed to wait for chips. 25mins later and 7 suppers and a portion of chips have been handed to customers who placed orders after mine! I stated I was still waiting for mine to which I was told there wasn't enough chips and I had to wait again! Staff were then being quite abrupt saying some people just want to click their fingers and it be there...I'm sorry but 40mins in a chipper for a sausage that was already cooked and 2 large portions of chips is ridiculous! I understand they are busy but clearly there was enough chips for them fulfilling other peoples order! Chips were inedible when we got home too, they were are clumped together and had heaps of crunchy little pieces all over them. Needless to say they went in the bin. Waste of money!.

The food was good fresh but sorry to say the pies was over cooked the king rib was under cooked And to top it off there was salt and vinegar on one supper when I said no salt on that's supper will Stick to the chipper I no best

We have ordered from Rosehill fish bar often, and although I have written in the comments to please add salt and vinegar, I also phone them. I thought I was annoying the staff by always phoning after I had placed the order to ask them to add salt and vinegar. This time I didn’t, and sadly we didn’t get the condiments added. We never have vinegar in the house, so do I have to constantly ask on the order for it to be added, then call the shop to ask again. Food was good, but lacking

Shop is clean and well kept , outside of this I’m struggling for positives from this visit.Myself and my partners food was distinctly average(freshly cooked yes),but greasy and not very tasty.probably the last time I’ll use this place will travel further to find better quality.

Standard fish suppers, very small more like kids fish. Overprised for the portion. Disappointed. Will know not to get this again!!!

The staff at the establishment could not care less about the customers and were rude. The food I believe I’ve been preheated for some time and therefore the taste was abominable. Shortly after considering the meal I felt unwell and I’m sure it was the result of the way the meal has been cooked or kept. I would strongly advise against using this fish restaurant and trying to secure a meal from another establishment!!!

I had a black pudding and a half portion of fritters. The pudding was fine but the fritters were lovely and huge. Despite only having a half portion l couldn't finish them. Overall I enjoyed my "supper" and the service was good also.

I would NEVER order from here again . I ordered through JUST eat and they forgot my curry sauce and when I went into the rosehill fish bar and was told " oh the cant give me a refund for my sauce " just eat needs to, but shock horror I called the just eat number and it wasnt in use ,tried threw the account but wasnt even showing my order but they are quick to take YOUR MONEY and not give you the correct order !!! Very rude staff too . Would give it -0 stars if was an option

Home to Aberdeen for a few days can't get a decent chippy in Liverpool that does steak pies 😭 OMG I was in heaven last night when we went to Rosehill chippy thank god its still as good prob been 20 years since last there, nxt visit def be back for sure

Excellent, clean and impressive Chip Shop. Best one yet in my book.

We paid £34 for 2 standard fish suppers, a jumbo sausage supper, black pudding and onion rings. Delivery was quick which was welcome. Unfortunately that’s where the positives end. The food was cold, the portion sizes were disappointing (for the price we paid). The food was unseasoned, overly greasy and the fish was over cooked. Wouldn’t normally prepare a review but this was a big let down.

Chips can be a bit of a hit if miss and the service can be slow as they seem to concentrate on deliveries but we still go as the pies are probably the best chippy pie around and are fried not microwave 😀

Hit or miss. Chips cold and tasteless, red pudding tough, jumbo haddock tiny and greasy, curry sauce watery but I’ve had takeaways before where it’s been ok.

Cheese fries where not nice. Just fries with a little cheese sprinkled on top.. The homemade mac and cheese was awful.. Just boiled noodles with cheddar sprinkled on top. Not recommended..

Usually a great chipper my food was spot on but I don't know what they were thinking when they sent me out the curry sauce was really watery more like curry soup wasn't nice or edible so didn't have any sauce for my meal which kinda ruined it for myself and my partner

Arrived to pick up order at time specified see that my jumbo haddocks are cooked sitting in boxes to watch them give 1 to a just eat order then make me wait 15 mins and try and give me the 1 fish that has been sitting to then tell me after I watched them that it is fresh this is not the first time this has happened customers outside shop not interested in them only interested in just eat orders

Always have Jumbo Haddock freshly cooked and chips are always just made. Friendly staff. I’m fussy about where and what I eat and this is a good chippy.

It's standard, service is ok and the chips are ok. Nothing special but certainly worth it if you're hungry!!

This must have been the smallest breaded fish supper I have had to date. At £7,50 for a takeaway it certainly wouldn't warrant a return. Very disapointed, this was for my brother in Roxburgh house to satisfy a wee notion he had for a nice fish supper.

Have ordered from here many times but this time the order wasn’t not correct, thankfully the one delivery driver was still in our street when we noticed the order was not correct, then we sent everything back so that our order would all arrive correct so we can enjoy our order together!

First time here I got the jumbo fish supper. My food was cooked to order so I wasn't given something that was sitting around drying out. The chips were plentiful and about as good as chips can possibly get. The batter on the fish was crispy and the fish was moist. What more could you ask for?

Best fish n chips in Aberdeen. We try a different chipper every Friday, meaning we have tried every one in town and we keep returning to this one. Fast friendly service

Having been a customer for many years , Around a month ago we bought Fish Suppers. What a shock it was to open them at home 5 mins later to find a splurge of soggy fat filled batter . As the title suggests. Straight in the bin .However i decided it must have been a one off and last week bought a Steak Pie Supper. Oh dear !! On seeing the batter a cut into it and took a tiny taste .Yeeuch ...Just a totally inedible undercooked pile of fat filled meat . I will not be back

Staff are fab, Place looks clean just a shame batter was soggy, 5 differnt meals & soggy batter on all.

Ordered haddock and chips at lunchtime and less very disappointed as the batter was soft and undercooked. The chips must have been cooked some time earlier and were not the best. Will not return.

Just got a delivery from this chipper, 3 suppers, all chips were cold, chicken fillets were spicy??? Doesn't say on menu that they are spicy and of the 4 fillets there was not one that was completely covered with batter. Normally go to this chipper but busy so opted for delivery - never again.
