Rosebank Restaurant in South Lanarkshire

Went here today with high expectations as it’s always busy. I was very disappointed. We ordered 2 sandwiches and a portion of chips. The chips were frozen chips. Sandwiches were nice but small salad was basically lettuce with no dressing . Still like a school canteen having to go and order food at desk. Much better places nearby, with proper home cooked foods.

Following a busy tour of the wonderful garden centre, we were ready for something to eat! A very busy venue with the majority of inside seating taken - fortunately lovely outside dining was available with good weather. The menu offers a variety of mouthwatering items, all very reasonably priced with great desserts (BONUS). My lasting impression were all of the staff - excellent. Everywhere was busy but all of the staff were polite although under pressure, all presentable and had a smile to share. First class service - well done.

Great experience again favourite sandwich place also do main meals all ingredients locally sources. Sandwiches & salad beautiful. Not the cheapest but worth the money for local well filled Sandwiches and locally grown salad

This is to us the best place for a quick meal in the area although because of this it can be very busy even at weekends despite a new extension. If the weather is good the garden is nice. Food is generally from a fairly standard menu but of very good quality and at excellent prices and with prompt and friendly service. It is self service but then meals are brought to you. Their range of cakes is very good if you want one to finish a meal or just want one with a coffee. I did manage to spill some coffee on way to my table and waitress spotted this and brought a clean saucer and mat which is service well beyond the norm.

Lovely fresh food served in a lovely restaurant. Can get busy at times, but that’s surely a good sign. Big adjacent car park

Visit most Sundays. Food superb and staff so welcoming and friendly. Very clean. And the cakes are gorgeous xx

Have been here before with not a great experience, however, they have had a great make over and revitalised the garden centre and restaurant. Firstly be prepared to que, but anyone who has visited the Clyde Valley garden centre would expect this. Although it was heaving Mother’s Day the que was moving fairly swiftly. Staff were pleasant and exchanged small talk whilst we waited for the table. Soup was great and a fair portion - stand your spoon up sort of soup full of flavour. Bread roll was fresh. Had the mixed starter which was scrumptious. The waiting staff were quick to notice plates were finished and the cleared await quickly. Our mistake was we picked up cakes to save waiting in the que for food again, trouble was took up too much room on the table. Cakes had a huge choice and variety and had a fresh taste. Will be going back again fairly soon. Also able to get a wee wine or beer for the non driver. Garden centre staff were approachable friendly and knowledgeable. Well done

Its. Pensioner rip of in this Clyde valley Ordered. 2, fish. Chips +. 2 teas. £19. 50. Now they have good appetite they Did not expecting a 1/2 a fish. Now just up the road you'll pay. 2 soups. £9. 50. Its all getting Out hand. Greedy rip off Owners Your all paying this farce

Food is always lovely and fresh. Staff are always very friendly and attentive. Clean restaurant and a great selection of cakes

Popped in for a light lunch with the family and it was very busy as usual but we managed to get a table quickly. Up to order and the staff were quick and friendly and very helpful. Our food came quickly and was very good. We went back up and ordered a cake to go with our coffee which was also very good. Wouldn’t hesitate to come back here if I was near by.

Lovely family breakfast with all three choices being changed a bit, not a problem to the lady who served us. Food was fantastic from a great local butcher. The ladies loved the cakes and the attention to detail is brilliant. Did I mention it was also quite cheap? An easy five stars

Whilst I was impressed with the restaurant, the set up and the cleanliness of it all, I was really disappointed this time with the portion size of the so called salads. My partner had a ham salad and I opted for the prawn mayo. A few slices of ham/dollop of prawns along with a handful of lettuce leave, 2 slices of cucumber, an eighth of a tomato, small amount of peppers and finished with a "sliver" of carrot, does not constitute a salad to me. Whilst I realise that the price was less than we would normally pay - it was disappointing and far from fulfilling! I would suggest that they increase their prices to a decent level in order to produce a portion that "fit the bill" - I will return but unless the portion sizes are increased will not be ordering the salads.

Despite the queue leading out of the door the menu here appealed to us for a late lunch early dinner so we decided to wait. Seated quickly it seemed to take a while to order at the counter but the service from there was perfect. Pleasant staff and a modern make over made for a good experience. Our food came very quickly and was pretty good nice portions and piping hot coffee which always pleases me. We visit this area regularly and have used all of the restaurants in the area , it has been some time since we were here and we will be back soon.

This is a wonderful Restaurant, it is always busy, the food is cooked for you when you order, from soup right through to all the lovely cakes, they are to die for. they also have a lovely shop attached to it with jewellery shoes handbags and clothes. and out side they have a lovely garden centre, to which everyone is very helpful and friendly.

Have often enjoyed a breakfast or a lunch in Rosebank's Garden Centre. But today's visit was a brand new experience - as Rosebank has redesigned its restaurant. Now twice the size - and with a streamlined serving counter - my wife and I were delighted to enjoy coffee-&-cake in these delightful surroundings.

Really friendly family run tearoom and garden centre. Nice selection of cakes and scones as well as breakfast/lunch menus. Reasonably priced, can be busy, but worth waiting. Has a nice outside area for sunny days!

A casual visit for lunch - and as it's nearly Burns' Night, we went for the traditional supper - Haggis, Neeps and Tatties (see the subtitles for the English version). And it was a very good choice. The plate was well-filled, it came with proper gravy and was a sheer delight from start to finish. In fact, it was SO filling that I was unable to finish off with the usual slice of apple pie!
