Amazing customer service the lady who took our order was lovely and friendly

A large group of us rocked up unexpectedly and they were extremely accommodating. I wouldn't have blamed them for being a bit stressed or refusing us all, but they made it seem simple and they were very friendly. Not only were the vegan options tasty and varied, but the portion sizes were very generous - many places offer the minimal amount of food possible. For example, my breakfast roll contained a lot of avocado and two potato scones. Most places would have been far less generous. The 2 people working there were friendly and helpful throughout. Overall it was the best café experience I have had in years!

A brief visit while in the area Place was warm welcoming and comfortably casual. A quick excellent bite to eat and some fabulous coffee Would definitely return!

Excellent little cafe serving lovely coffee and an excellent breakfast. The two ladies that own it provide a good,friendly,quick service.

Anything is better than a international chain outlet. This cafe has a very homely feel with very good lunch options. It's not gourmet coffee but with options to sit or outside we enjoyed our lunch here. Service was pleasant and friendly and the food tasty.

Food was fantastic the soup was so tasty and the club sandwich I had was delicious. Would like to say also that the girl who was working when I went in couldn’t have been any nicer she really makes it a joy to pop in. Was my first time visiting and I’ll be back very soon.

I called in for a 'Carry Out' Tuna Cheese and Onion' Sandwich and bought Two small fruit scones to go as well. I paid £12.00 for this and thought perhaps there was something special about the sandwich. I was asked to wait outside for the sandwich while it was being toasted. It was pouring outside! I waiting sometime and eventually the lady came out and apologised for the wait. When I returned home I opened the brown bag and there was One sandwich, yes two pieces of bread with said tuna, cheese and onion between them toasted. A small box was inside with a small bundle of salad leaves and some crisps. At £12 for the above for a simple toastie and two small scones to Carry Out. I will not be returning to this café for a quick carry out lunch. I don't know how these places get away with it. Who knows what the charge would be for sitting in.

Visited this little cafe a fews day ago and was made most welcome by the staff. I understand that the cafe is under new ownership since September 2021. There was a wide choice on the menu, including Vegan, all of which sounded delicious. The service was prompt and our food was very tasty. Best cooked breakfast I have ever had! The quality of the ingredients was apparent. Coffee was fabulous.

Lovely little homely spot for breakfast and lunch. Staff are absolutely glowing and make you very welcome. Vegan menu available, plus vegan specials, alternative milks, and bakes. Had breakfast rolls, hot drinks and a cherry crumble across 2 visits and everything was really good. Fantastic to find a place like this in Bearsden - I'll definitely be back next time I'm local.

How come over all this year's you have not cracked the art of making an espresso coffee,but you do make a good cuppa so you are forgiven.

Staff do not appear to know how to make good coffee. On my first visit asked for flat white, it came in a massive cup with too much milk, was a poor latte, asked staff to remake using smallest cup as it should be. That was fine. On second visit asked specifically for them to use small cup. It came in medium cup and had water added and milk. Awful. Staff need coffee training as delivering a good cup of coffee is more than knowing how to pull a shot. Not even sure if they know how to dial in a decent shot never mind the milk quantities for each type of coffee

We got a takeaway from here today and I got the Special Vegan Roll (vegan square sausage, garlic mushrooms, vegan mayo and sriracha). I expected it to be good but it was AMAZING. Seriously you need to try this roll, it's a totally unexpected serendipity of flavours. And I'm not vegan. I'm not vegan at all. You need to try it. Also the cakes are good.

This is my favourite local cafe and I have been a regular customer for years. Great location with nice open views. Good coffee, great staff and screens in place for social distancing. Tables outside too. Thank you.

Popped into Lily and Rose for lunch. I had to choose between the vegan and non-vegan menu. For a change, I went for the vegan option to do a variation on my usual meat diet. I had the soup and sandwich option. Went for the soup of the day: sweet potato. It had a lovely deep taste with plenty of spicing. The sandwich was the Good Boy Bagel. It's not the most glamorous eating as I had to take it in two hands. There was sriracha mayo, avocado and Sgaia steak - plenty to bite into. I finished with a proper Americano coffee - something with taste. Staff coped well with all the current safety protocols. It was certainly an encouragement to try more vegan food.

Went here today after a recommendation by my niece. Chose from the vegan menu and lunch was delicious and fresh. Followed by a lovely flat white and vegan brownie!! Great choice on the menu board. Staff were lovely. Good atmosphere would recommend a visit. Also have non vegan choices too.

Took 45 minutes to bring our lunch so we had to rush as there is only 1 hour parking outside. We had finished our coffee before the food arrived. There was no vegan bacon so I got normal bacon but it was overcooked. Disappointing.

I was craving a big breakfast and being vegan it isn’t easy to find many places what do a good breakfast but this place had one of the best breakfast I have ever had! The square sausage was amazing! Would really recommended people coming here, a good variety for most diets! The Millionaire Biscuit was amazing also! Will definitely return!

Had stopped visiting here due to poor customer service however decided to give it a try again today. The gentleman serving could not have been more helpful and knowledgable surrounding my food allergies. Food was also amazing.

Whenever I visit Rose and Grants for breakfast or lunch, I can always count on my food to be consistently good. The staff are very friendly and helpful and these qualities are consistent as the sun rises and sets. A well-earned compliment.

My friend and I went into this coffee shop at 3pm on a Sunday. The girl behind the till was obviously not pleased to have customers. There was no hello or even a hint of a smile. The look we were given when we asked for a menu was priceless. We had not been here before ( and definitely will not be returning ) and did not realise that it closed at 4pm. Anyway we bravely asked for coffee and cakes. The coffee was actually very nice. Ten minutes after we arrived the girl went and sat down at one of the tables with her mobile and what appeared to be cash. I have no idea what she was doing but when we wanted another coffee I had to go to this table to order it. When I asked her if she was the owner she said no but that she had to do everything. No eye contact at any time. Very strange. Whilst we were there a woman with a child came in and waited at the counter. After a good few minutes, and without looking in their direction, the waitress advised them that she would be there in a minute. We have never experienced anything like it. Shame we won't be back as the coffee was really good.

So I went here one morning for the vegan breakfast and it was so worth it. I also had a flat white on oat milk which also was delicious, and I’m a barista so I’m pretty picky with my coffee. Definitely recommend. They also had really nice sweets and other good stuff so I had a peanutbutter brownie and it was amazing. The staff was also really friendly and they were playing Taylor the entire time I was there.

Coffee excellent, breakfast and lunch great, not a vegan or vegetarian but flat sausage really tasty especially like the vegan sausage,garlic mushrooms and spicy mayo roll, cakes are always fresh and yummy even when you have to share one! Have noticed that if you take your own mug for takeaway coffee you pay less, what a great idea!

Delightful! Sweet staff kindly asked a patron to trade us tables in order to accommodate our larger group. Food was quite good (though we didn't realize there was a full menu until after we had ordered our sandwiches). Coffee was good but very bitter - needed a liberal shaker of salt before we could really enjoy it. All in the party agree that we'd happily go again and look forward to trying Rose&Grants larger shop in Glasgow.

My girlfriend is vegan and is always on the look out for vegan friendly establishments. I am not though and the trouble has been finding a place that caters for both our needs. This cafe did not fail, in fact exceeded expectations. Her vegan needs were met and I was able to get a tuna mayo sandwich. Friendly attentive staff and a good atmosphere, will certainly be revisiting in the near future.

Small, busy and cold (freezing every time the door opens) cafe on a busy road, we called in for a light lunch. We both had roast chicken and avocado sandwiches and they were excellent - thick with fresh filling and lovely light bread. So 10 out of 10 for the sandwiches. Unfortunately the tea was just horrible. When the hot water for tea is taken from a coffee machine, the metallic smell and taste overpowers everything. The Fortnum & Mason’s teabags were completely wasted. They might as well use the cheapest teabags available. We would come here again but would take coffee which I notice has mixed reviews but it was busy enough to suggest that it’s at least palatable.

Had a regular latte. A single shot of espresso which I found unfortunately quite weak, however coffee strength is always a subjective thing, so I probably should have asked before it was made and could have added an extra shot; recommend you do the same.

We heard that Rose and Grants did an excellent vegan breakfast and....they do. To make it even better during January it was only £5. A nice location just outside of Glasgow and a friendly atmosphere. They even make their own version of Lorne sausage...

Having visited this place previously and discovered they did not have decaffeinated coffee, we decided to give it another try. Service was poor. Coffee was DISGUSTING. The waitress said it was decaffeinated but I think it was instant; one cup of Americano dis not have the usual crema and the flat white was practically all white. We certainly won't be back.

Down to earth feel which is refreshing unlike those posh coffee shops. Prices very reasonable. I went for their vegan roll, it was delicious! I'm not a huge fan of coffee but I had a cappuccino, it was very good.

Beautiful decor, top quality breakfast, nice sausage, free range egg? Good quality bread, real butter ebough beans (sometime you don't get enough ) lovely polite service just missing a smile. One of the best you will have, cooked to perfection

The vegan breakfasts were great. Could only be improved by sausages. The coffee and cakes are nice. It would be even better if oat milk (other than soya and almond) was available! Staff were friendly, the atmosphere was nice and prices were fair.
