Roma 2000 in Swansea

Actually ate the meat only, after tasting the rest. Shame at £8.95 they could put in a lot more effort for these restaurant prices. Frozen mash is not good, it dont take much to use the fresh potatoes you have for the chips, simply mash, add butter and serve. Cabbage & peas, put a small amount of bicarb in, this would make your food a lot more appealing visually and taste better. Peas & Cabbage where a horrible shade of of green. Deep fried Roasties again cook in an oven, effort equals returning customers. These where stale also tasted stale and defrosted from another day. Packet gravy, have you thought of adding the meat juices and veg juices? Carrots tasteless. Overcooked parsnip,unrecognisable. To be honest as a trained chef needing a day off I think it was all old stock left over. It was not nice, I threw in the bin except the meat even the frozen Yorkshire pudding was awful. Not a good experience and worst dinner I've ever purchased out anywhere. Lack of effort on Romas part. It needs a serious overhaul or chef needs sacking as they just don't care to produce such bad food. Won't ever go again for any food if that's the standard they work too. Someone needs to care here.

you can always find something to eat here. I have to say though the roast dinner is my fav even in the week until 2pm the do a roast and the mash is amazing

Best chippy in Swansea hands down! Always fresh and tasty. Girls serving always smiling and happy to help. Sunday lunch seems busy to so may give that a try

Despite having to drive passed other chip shops Roma has become our local for takeout Food is consistently good. Service is well organised and whilst there is a wait sometimes its handled well.

My elderly father just loves this place . We take him here often. The fish is cooked fresh to order & is always good.

ancied a cooked dinner today at £5.75. the slices of beef are massive as you can see and there's 2 of them. the roasties have a lovely crispy outside but sooo fluffy light and white on the inside. I could honestly eat this everyday. a waitress went passed whilst I was eating with a chicken dinner and that was a big bit of chicken that looked lovely aswell. the only flaw in my dining experience was my lemonade came in a paper cup. I would have liked it in a glass.

On a very wet day I visited Roma 2000 for the second time...and wasn't disappointed. The staff are friendly and helpful. The service is quick and the food piping hot. Had fish and chips and couldn't fault it (they cut the corners off the little packets of Tartar sauce)

We had sit down chips rather than takeaway. The food was all freshly cooked and tasty. There were a few glitches in the order, but it was very busy and everything was resolved. The restaurant was spotlessly clean and there was a good range of food on the menu. Soft drinks in cans and bottles were overpriced though.

Whilst out shopping yesterday stopped off at the Roma 2000 Restaurant in Gorseinon for lunch ,food was exellant,but the service was not up to its usual high standard we were a little bit disappointed that we had to remind the staff that we had not received our drinks and had almost finished our meals by the time they arrived but after saying that the food was still very good and we would definatly return in the future

Went in for a quick takeaway! Always lots of staff so your never waiting long, although could be more helpful and happy. Food always lovely. Great location!

I have visited this chippy for many years now and it still never ceases to amaze me. There is something for everyone when it comes to the food and it is outstanding value for money. But more than this is the 'service'; it is a family run business and nothing is too much. Everyone is helpful and is willing to do the most menial of tasks. They somehow manage to employ people who are also friendly and good natured. I am sure lots of people go as much for the atmosphere as for the food. Not many places like this left!

The Roma fish and chippy in High st ,Swansea is one of the local chain of Roma outlets in the area i visited this one yesterday and was served an exellant meal which was cooked to perfection ,the service is good,and the shop is spotlessly clean and you get very good value for your money

Rather than use our local fish and chips shop we chose to travel to Roma 2000 about five miles away on a friends recommendation. It was really worth it the chips were really tasty and not greasy, the mushy peas lush and the Rissoles were perfect. Would definately go again.

You won't be disappointed. Food is great, the place is clean, the groups of pensioners getting discount is a great touch. Oh and Joan of course! Lovely lovely lovely.

We have used this fish bar/restaurant over many years, but not since we moved away from the district many years ago.By chance we were in Gorsenion recently, one lunch time, on our way to Llanelli, and decided to stop. We chose the traditional fish & chips, together with mushy pea's, and the meal was how we remember, really good, nice moist fish, in a very light batter, not unlike tempura. It recalled happy memories of living nearby, when the Roma became a regular visit.I highly recommend this establishment, as it has been in the family for over 30 years, and they know how to cook fish.

Consistently good. Very well known business established over many tears. Our favourite fish restaurant recommended unreservedly.

Nice proper chips, none of that frozen crap here. I've been eating Roma Chips for 40 years, there is no where better, none even come close.

Roma have a new queue system where you put in your order, are asked if you want salt and vinegar, you pay, then your order is passed to two other ladies for packing.My experience was, I ordered Fish and chips twice, one with salt and vinegar, one with salt only. The girl who took my order passed the ticket along for packing, the lady packing put salt and vinegar on mine, at which point the girl taking the orders also got invloved in the packing process.. I have an allergy to vinegar, so she had to re-pack.When we arrived home, my daughter had chips only with no fish.I called the restaraunt, and was told to come back and they'll put it right. This would have meant another 8 mile round trip which I wasn't prepared to make on a wet December night. Why can't these places get things right first time.
