The evening started well service was ok but as it got busier it slowed right down even though there is plenty of staff.As a result of slower service and server's we were then told 15 mins before our 2 hour slot was up we would have to leave so we had last course rushed .I was not made aware of this time frame for a party of 8 before hand . Being a party of 8 and slower service when it got busier we heavily rushed , our drink and desserts took 20 mins to arrive causing us to over run our 2 hrs. Our bill was put on the table before our desserts. As said before food is rather over priced. And in the rush we got caught out on paying the service charge.

Excellent food and friendly service up on their veranda overlooking the centre of Bagshot for a pre-anniversary meal with our friends. Everyone went away feeling a little stuffed as the food was so good nobody wanted to waste it... I recommend the Hot Meze starter for its range of quality food. They do good takeaways as well and I believe the do deliveries in Bagshot.

We have been going to Roka since it first opened and have noticed hat the food quality has declined. The restaurant is lovely and the staff very attentive. We ordered a range of starters that were ok. Our mains of fish and 2 meat Iskenders really lacked taste. The portions were small which did not matter as much as the bland flavour. The dish consisted of meat and a large portion of what seemed like stale croutons. The dish lacked flavour and freshness.Sadly won’t be returning

Had a lovely meal. Food as always delicious and appetising. Left with full tummies and smiles on our faces. Our waiter James was brilliant. Always available if we needed anything more. Polite and good humoured. Cannot fault the service or food. We sat on the terrace and with the sun shining made our day. It was the first visit for my sister and she was impressed! Will definitely be back. Thank you for a lovely lunch.

Vibrant, busy restaurant. Plenty of attentive staff. Food was amazing. We had cocktails, beers, cold meters, mains and desserts. All delicious. Thank you

Attentive service but it was lunchtime and the restaurant was empty. Some nice dishes, but way overpriced for the quality of food. The fat chips and calamari were overdone, having spent too long in the deep fat fryer which was a shame.

Overpriced, we had the Roka Special, small chicken pieces in tomato and cheese sauce served in a ramekin. We were served the wrong meal and had to wait, so we were offered a free starter, hummus and bread. We then waited for our drinks and got too many so ended up with a free G&T. I don’t know why the service was so slow there were only three/four tables busy. The Manager apologised but the service ruined what was otherwise a nice lunch.

First meal out in a while. Really tasty meze of tabbouleh, hummus and filo wraps plus excellent mains. However, as others have noted, fairly expensive. So more of the occasional treat rather than a regular eat.

I absolutely adore the food at Roka. It is always out of this world and so tasty. What saddens me is how expensive it is for what is often just grilled meat and rice, it means we can only afford to come here for rare special occasions rather than be frequent visitors.

This is the 2nd time I have eaten here. Saturday early evening meal with 2 girlfriends. They've built a roof terrace with cover so it was quite cosy and we even took our coats off. Shared the Hot Mezze which was great, followed by Moussaka which was delicious. A bottle of Prosecco was a bit pricey at £28 but it was a buzzy atmosphere and very good service. We were limited to 2 hours as they had another booking for 8pm but that was ok. Total bill for 3, 2 courses with wine = £116. Not cheap but definitely worth a visit for a special occasion. Would recommend and visit again!

We really wanted to enjoy this, especially for he price tag. Unfortunately it was very disappointing. We ordered through Uber Eats so the fact that it was cold cannot be blamed on the restaurant. However the poor food quality can. I don't like leaving bad reviews, I usually do not bother, however a meal for two took us closer to the £70 bracket so with that price you would expect at the very least good quality ingredients, which I am sad to say it did not appear that way at all.

Me and my girlfriend went for lunch on Saturday and got a great table on the roof terrace. The service was quick and the staff were very attentive. We shared the Calamari to start and it was great, I've found often that when I order calamari at other restaurants it comes quite rubbery and chewy, this calamari was done perfectly, we then both had moussaka for main and again this was great, I couldn't fault any of the food we had. We ordered a couple of cocktails each to drink, I had a Long Island Iced Tea and a Pina Collada, my girlfriend had a Pornstar Martini and a Tequila Sunrise. The cocktails were all really nice too. The service was really quick, the only criticism I would have of the service is that we weren't offered the desert menu's at the end. The biggest disappointment that let down the rest of our visit was the service charge already added on to our bill. I usually leave a tip of 10% and I would have done as the service was good, however the bill already had a 12% charge included, which I thought was very cheeky and let down what would have been a great meal for us. It's a shame because I would have definitely gone back again within the next couple of weeks, but after the service charge and how much it added on to our bill, I'm not so sure. I hope the extra 2% was worth it, because it's cost them another meal.

Last minute booking for a family meal out. All the staff were very welcoming. Clean surroundings and quality food delivered with large portions. Great with children. A little pricy but as a treat well worth it. Ran out of steak, however provided an alternative.

Great food and service as always, but we were charged £20 for one gin! The bill was corrected and we paid the right amount. However, it has made us question why they tried to overcharge us. Did they think just because we were women we wouldn't notice? It's left a sour taste in our mouths and we're not sure if we'd return.

I 've eaten in the restaurant once before and the food was ok, but after the shockingly poor takeaway this week I will not be returning. The meze, looking like it had been hanging around for days, was vile and dripping in grease. The halloumi, appreciating the texture, was tasteless rubber. The feta wraps and sucuk were riddled in grease and barely edible. It was galling to find that the meze starters for four, stated at £27 on their menu, was actually charged at £34. Some waffle about a limited menu was the excuse. The 'Findik Lahmacun' bore no resemblance to the tempting photo placed above the mezes online menu. The large fluffy dough boat loaded with topping in the photo turned out to be a sorry bit of pitta bread, hard and tasting straight from the freezer, finished with a miserly thin spread of some kind of insipid red paste.All in all, an absolutely shocker. This is not a 'Mediterranean dining experience', save your money and visit your local kebab van if you want cheap greasy junk.

Phenomenal Service and Excellent Food. We had a superb takeaway from Roka. The team were excellent on the phone and when we went to collect the food it was being kept warm for us. The food was packed in environmentally friendly takeaway parcels. The food was delicious and the portions were a good size.

We ordered via JustEat and food arrived within the hour. We ordered a main each and a side, food was delicious, just as it usually is in the restaurant. Complimentary bread and dips also included. Thank you for a lovely take away!

Sadly disappointing food (chicken and lamb Shish), especially given the price. Food arrived cold & bland, certainly not worth its price tag. Won't be using / ordering again. Not a patch on standard cheap kebab shops.

Having recently had a great Greek meal whilst away, we thought we would try Roka - and boy, we weren’t disappointed!! Lovely restaurant, such pleasant staff with great service, not to mention the exceptional food!! We can honestly say it was one of the best meals we have had in a very long time! We promise you a fabulous meal if you give Roka a try! We can’t wait to go back........

Wonderful service from Ally. Lovely food and a great environment. It was our anniversary and they gave us complimentary Prosecco which was a very nice touch.

Visited this restaurant for my nieces birthday today at lunchtime. The whole experience was fabulous from the service to the food. Absolutely no complaints. I would definitely recommend this restaurant to anyone. My only problem is I live in Portsmouth so will not be able to visit as often as I would like!

Went here for dinner with my partner on Friday night. I must say I was slightly sceptical reading some of the reviews but I was proved wrong. Fast, efficient, knowledgeable and polite service. The food was great and the potions were generous.Stand out factors:On arrival we were informed it would be a couple of minutes for our table so we ordered a couple of cocktails at the bar. As soon as we had ordered them (sods law!) we were shown to our table. Both me and my partner chuckled that we would never get those drinks as the bar man wouldn’t know where we were sitting so we ordered a bottle of wine when we got to the table…however the cocktails found their way to us in no time and were lovely, as well as the wine we had to follow!The guy who served us first had a great attitude and when we ask for some bread with a dish that didn’t have bread with it, he winked an said he would sort it for us on the house…I know it’s a little thing, but it’s nice gestures like that which illustrates nice and thoughtful service.The owner (I assume) came to our table after we ordered with our original waiter just to give us the heads up we may have ordered too much food. Again, lovely touch as most restaurants would be keen to make as much money out of you as possible. I thought it was a lovely thing to do…and yes, he was right…we took something off the order and there was still food left over.All in all, an utterly pleasing experience and will be back soon.

Greedy, ghastly service. I would neither recommend nor visit this establishment ever again. Having visited two other sophisticated restaurants with friends this month, this is the first one that had made me wear a mask just to walk in and sit down at a pre-booked table. The vicious little owner (I presume that is what he was by his arrogant attitude) barked at me like a dog for not having my mask on when I walked in, telling me that all the staff had to wear them (I was a customer, not staff - hardly a comparison). He then expected me to express marvellous gratitude for giving me a mask to wear to walk 10m to my table.As they were clearly SO big on hygiene, I was surprised to see no hand sanitiser on the table. Luckily we had our own. We ordered our food. Mine was a reheated Chicken lskender, it had boiling hot and cold patches throughout. The plate was scolding - evidence it had been microwaved. It was like fast food at premium prices: £17:90 for a re-heated microwave meal! I didn’t say anything while I was there though - that owner was vicious and nasty!No sooner had my friend and I had put the last mouthful of food into our mouths, had the staff whipped away our plates and asked if we wanted to see the desert menu. I wanted to wait a while - as I believe is the normal procedure in a costly restaurant. However, after being harassed again, my friend ordered baklava, which looked about as homemade as a MacDonald’s fries! (Being Greek, I know what homemade Baklava should look like)!Again, the waiting staff popped up as soon as my friend finished her dessert and we were pressured into ordering more: not allowed just to sit and chat. Having not seen my friend for months, I just wanted a nice relaxing meal and a catch-up. Not being big drinkers, my friend and I opted for the teas. To our horror, about 5 minutes after the tea was brought out (and it was still too hot to drink) the bill was placed on our table and we asked to pay ‘as the next table was ready’. OMG! I never would have thought it! Just a fast-food service conveyor belt. Disgusting for price we had to pay: no customer service, no care over the food; just get you in, order as much as possible, pay-up and get out. YOU ARE ON A TIMER. YOU DO NOT GO OUT TO EAT TO BE ON A TIMER. AVOID AVOID AVOID.

We arrived without pre booking a table and the staff Accepted us at a busy time to ensure we wasn’t turned away. I think the staff members name was Ali. He was so friendly and made us feel very welcome. The rooftop seating area is a beautiful place to chill and have some amazing food. Clean, staff were all happy to be at work. Recommended :)

First time we have been here. Was recommended by a fiend. I have to say the staff were very friendly and the food was very nice. I think it was a little pricey compared to other Turkish restaurant I have been to which have been just as good in relation to food and staff. But overall it was a good experience and I will be back

Booked and attended the and night. The service was fantastic. Operating in these 'covid' times there is sanitiser when you walk through the door snd all the staff are masked up. We were sat upstairs which is beautifully decorated and makes the most of what is already an amazing building. Ordered from hot and cold mezes and despite one of our ordered items being unavailable and our replacement then being accidentally substituted for a different dish (which intact was a better choice so didnt complain), all of it was great.They had loads of staff working and service was almost immediate for drinks and food. Only criticism was the olives weren't to our taste and seemed a bit too sour/also soapy but that was just a small niggle in an otherwise great meal. Id definately recommend and return

We visited Roka for the first time about 6 weeks ago now. I booked a table via email and all was fine. When we arrived we were seated inside and not outside. I queried this as it was the hottest day of the year and the waiter abruptly said “you didn’t request outside”. I had never been there before so I didn’t realise you had to specify. I asked to move outside & he said at first nope no room outside but then about 15 minutes later they offered us a table outside. By which point we had already got our drinks and ordered our food. We decided to remain inside but the restaurant doesn’t have air conditioning so it was really warm. Despite this the other waiter who looked after us really turned our experience around. He ensured we were constantly topped up with water and was always on hand if we needed anything. The food was amazing and couldn’t fault it at all. We will return however we have now learnt to specify where we would like our table for future bookings.

Location is great, love the balcony. Unfortunately that’s where the positives end. All of the menu’s were sticky, Starters were ok, Hot Meza Platter was good and combination and size. We did explicitly ask for no beef, one of the platters arrived correctly the other did not. To there credit the corrected the order quickly. Mains, we order 5 differing dishes but everything tastes the same, very tomatoy with little to no seasoning.

I went with my mum and friend all very much looking forward to a meal out together. The lady at the front desk was friendly and we ordered drinks. My Diet Coke was flat and a week off being out of date. The lady was quick to get me another one but unfortunately it was the same. I was shocked how the male at the bar acted at this point, he poured the drink and gestured to me that it was fizzy and ok, I really wouldn’t expect this behaviour in a restaurant. They didn’t have any new stock of Diet Coke so ordered something else but felt very embarrassed at his behaviour.The food was lovely, we shared the hot mezze and had mousakka. I would return as the food was delicious but unfortunately the man who I assumed was the manager really had awful customer service skills.

Birthday celebration Our first visit to Roka but certainly won’t be our last. Super atmosphere, wide & varied menu and very attentive service. We visited Roka for my birthday and were not disappointed. Everyone had different starters the star of which was the grilled halloumi and the Roka Special mixed platter for two to share was excellent, plenty for two and delicious. The service was good throughout and the drinks flowed the whole evening. All very nice indeed and because of this, I would highly recommend a visit to Roka to everyone!

We went here for a rare dinner out together. The king prawn starter and smoked salmon starter were 10/10. The halloumi skewers main did not resemble a skewer at all and was swimming in grease, I didn’t say anything at the time but should have done, I ate the halloumi and the bulgar wheat that it was served with. My husband had the lamb ‘kebab’. This sadly was not to his liking but the restaurant staff did absolutely everything they could to rectify the situation and made him another king prawn starter as this was all he fancied. He felt so bad that he didn’t like the main.Fantastic service from all the staff. The only disappointing thing was that only the manager had a mask on when serving customers. In the current situation as a manager I would be asking all my staff to all wear a visor/mask for the safety of staff and customers. I know it isn’t government guidelines but it’s crazy. This actually made us leave quite promptly after our mains as we felt uncomfortable being so close to so many of the staff. Sadly we won’t be returning anytime soon.

It’s a lovely restaurant which always delivers food to a high standard. The staff are always welcoming and knowledgable regarding their food offerings. They have reopened and done a great job in keeping everyone feel safe, especially with the outdoor offerings they now have. It’s extremely difficult to manage a restaurant to this standard while making the service prompt (as in pre COVID), it’s a lovely place to socialise with friends & family so to wait another 40min, does that really matter? I would recommend this to anyone in the local area or people visiting Bagshot.

Absolutely disgraceful service. After we had waited for 2 hours for the food, the manager comes out and says sorry we dropped the steak on the floor and do not have anymore, we will swap it with a stew, no choice in the matter, the stew got served but remaining of table still waiting another 10-15 minutes on ours, after 5 minutes they did come out with food for remaining table, only issue was that none of it was what we had ordered. When the remaining of the table finally got their food (bare in mind the first person had now nearly finished his food) one of them was again wrong, this time sea food. Now more than 2.5 hours had pasted and we at this point asked to speak with the owner. The owner comes out with the most arrogant attitude asking what’s the problem. When we start explaining he laughs at us and says “so? It happens” must admit at this point we got angry and could properly handled the temperament better, however when confronting him and asking him not to laugh he just arrogantly again said it happens. At the end of the day will never eat there again! Not able to comment on the food as I never managed to get my main!#badservice #neveragain

What an amazing find this place is. The food and atmosphere is incredible. We genuinely thought we were dining on holiday in a Turkish resort! Eating out on the terrace was such a treat - we had a hot mezze platter which had the best calamari and haloumi. We fancied some chicken to so had a chicken dish which was served on a flatbread. The portions were plentiful and the warm flatbread with dips was delicious. What is great is that you can always order more if you want to. We saw some of the other dishes coming out, thinking we’d like to try that, snd that, and that... But we were sensible and decided not to pig out - so we will be definitely returning! Drinks were reasonably priced but not overly so. I’ve since heard that the live music nights there are good fun, so we are looking forward to a time when we can give that a go too. Our visit was on a very busy night which is lovely to see right now. So good to see the hospitality sector getting back on its feet. It was our first date night ‘out out’ and was a bit apprehensive but... The team there are implementing social distancing and current guidelines really well which made us feel incredibly safe. Even though it was really busy, and you could see the staff were run off their feet in such a hot night, the welcome we received and hospitality we were shown throughout was attentive, friendly and we are looking forward to going back for another staycation holiday meal soon! Well done Roka. You rock!

Been before and it was a very long wait for food which to be fair was delicious when it arrived however visited last night for table booking at 7pm, seated by 8pm by 10pm we all had to leave as still no meals served... whatever happened with the staff or behind the scenes I do not know in fairness however, sadly I would not book again as the service just isn’t there...

Shared a mix hot meze platter then the Roka special - both were amazing and so much food we took half of it home! Drinks aren't the cheapest (£5.90 for a pint) and service could be a little quicker - had to wait 20 mins to get the drinks when we arrived.Overall really nice experience and sitting on the roof terrace on a hot summer evening is a treat

Take away in lock down has never tasted so good. Massive portions, we ate our take away for several days afterwards. Only mild negative is it is very expensive. £18 for a meat, rice and salad is a lot even though it is massive. But still, I love love love Roka.

Absolutely perfect, thank you. We had to ring a couple of times to get through, we had to wait a while for delivery but kept informed of delivery time. Well worth the wait. Can't wait to visit when open for bookings again. Absolute gem serving real food! We had the Roka special for 2 and chips.

Ordered takeaway from Roka for the first time today. Amazing! Food arrived just ahead of time and the portions were incredibly generous. Especially the extra bread that came with our order. Will definitely be ordering again.

We had a takeaway delivered for my wifes birthday because we couldn't eat in, in these strange times but we definitely wasn't disappointed the food was excellent as always and they gave us a lovely surprise of a bottle of pinot for my wife.Very very happy.

Fabulous fresh tasty food. Felt like we were on holiday in Greece! Generous portions lovely side salads I had the lamb which was so tender! Have been twice in 2 weeks now!

Went here for a friends birthday and it was the worst Turkish food I have ever had. I go to Turkey a lot with work and love it. The flat bead was cut up fajitas and the kababs were reheated in the microwave. Apparently there is a really long waiting list for this place and there are so many 5 star ratings. I can’t understand why.

Great place, the foods excellent and the staff make the atmosphere lively and fun. Floor and wall art is unique too. I can’t wait to go back in the Summer and sit on the terrace over looking the square.

The reviews for ROKA are really good so we expected great things. Sadly on this occasion we left rather underwhelmed. The first course was excellent. The main courses were the disappointment; generous portions but overcooked - really dry meat. We asked for a salad and it never came. Admittedly, the restaurant was busy but service was slow (it took 15 minutes to get our bill). The staff were very friendly and it felt like a family-run restaurant.

Great lunch. Visited with a friend for lunch- they have a very reasonable set lunch menu. The Mousaka was lovely and baklava to die for!! Staff were friendly and made an effort to make conversation which was nice. Can’t wait to go back. Thank you!

As the title says, its probably the best turkish food ive had! The mixed grill is a good size for 2-3 people. Full of flavour. Highly recommend! Staff are really welcoming.

I took my clients here on a Friday night and I had never been before - a bit of a risk. But wow ! .....we loved it.,...what amazing service, professional and friendly staff, food was fresh and tasty with decent portion sizes. The place was packed by 8pm. The restaurant has a great atmosphere and would definitely go here again!

This place has grown in popularity & the food has got better & better. The lunch menu is very good value with a good amount of choices. Special mention to the halloumi salad...but everything I’ve had has been good. As has my friends’ choices. Staff very friendly & delightful. Always a warm welcome.

Food is good BUT booking is just painful! Make sure you call because requesting a table via their website does not work. They don’t confirm back to you and when you call to confirm they tell you they don’t have any tables!

Came here again a few weeks ago on a Saturday, when they do a lunch time deal. The food is simply outstanding, easily the best Turkish food I've ever eaten, and I've eaten a lot of it! I think it's really good value, lovely staff too who are great with adults and children alike. Best to book, as it's always packed.

Visited this little gem of a bar on many occasions and was blown away by the warm and friendly atmosphere and hospitality given by the team sadly this wasn't the case on this visit eventhough our welcome was good this time the food didn't meet the expectations of previous visits and felt it was very overpriced 3 drinks on arrival 2 being alcoholic 1 being just tonic water 1 bottle of wine at the table at an astonishing price 3 starters and 3 main courses no desserts or coffees we amassed a bill of 135.00 the food was very disappointing sad to say this but its was however on a plus note the staff are friendly and entertainment was good

My second visit to Roka and it was still impressive. A very good menu, well presented food and good service. The wine list is ok, but expensive. However, the Malbec we had was good. The menu is varied and any requests are dealt with . The portions are vast and we had no room for dessert. The service is good and friendly and the staff is obliging. We were seated downstairs - the restaurant was full and there was a good atmosphere.I certainly recommend Roka and suggest booking in advance as it is popular

We had the pleasure of attending our friend's 50th birthday party at Roka. We were seated upstairs which was superb. Beautiful timber beams, turkish inspired decor and the food was amazing. Probably one of the best meals I've eaten in years. Tasty calamari starter, soft. Lamb and aubergine dish for mains...so tender and tasty. I would recommend this restaurant 100%. You have to book as it is extremely popular. Simply devine.

4 of us went on a Saturday for lunch. We chose the set lunch menu. Very nicely presented. Generous and hot in temperature. Clearly chef takes a lot of pride in what gets served. The service was attentive. Nothing more we could ask..... until the Baklava arrived. Its gorgeous and moist and just like you get in Istanbul. Terrific lunch offering.

Our second visit to ROKA and it didn’t disappoint. Staff as always friendly and helpful. Service was quick from sitting down and ordering drinks to starters and main. Atmosphere on the ground floor where we were was ok but much preferred the upstairs on our first visit. Nothing was too much trouble and we can’t wait until our next visit.

We were a large group with a few children and were given a private room which was a lovely surprise. The food was amazing of course, I really didn’t know what to expect and was pleasantly surprised. all the staff were amazing, really looked after us so well. Will definitely be back to taste some more of the menu

This was the second time visiting this restaurant, it was a Friday night so busy and noisy, to be expected, had to ask three times for a bottle of Prosecco before it finally arrived and had to ask twice for more pitta bread. Food was ok but had to wait over an hour with the Manager explaining how the food was cooked fresh etc, which was what I would have expected. A friend's card was declined and the waitress actually 'smirked', it went through a second time no problem, but there was no apology that it had happened. A small tip was left and probably won't go back again.

Met up with a friend and had a very relaxing evening. mark our waiter was very helpful with the menu and wines. Good choice on the menu. Our food was both tasty and fresh. A nice relaxed place to meet up with friends and family.

Another excellent evening at the restaurant. Very quick service for our table on the ground floor. A hot meze to start (for 4, but enough for 5) followed by excellent main courses. No room for desert!. Our family have never been disappointed with either the service or the wonderful food. The best restaurant in the area.

I spent an evening at Roma's with some relations . We really enjoyed the food that we ordered and I felt that it was as close as I have come in England to the authentic Turkish cuisine. The service was first class , the staff very friendly and they even indulged me when I practiced my limited Turkish.

I had heard good things about this restaurant so was looking forward to a night out with friends. The waiting staff were unhelpful when we asked for some advice on the menu, our starters arrived before drinks and we asked for a jug of water twice and never received it. The food was lovely but the staff were wanting to clear away the plates from the table before everyone had finished eating, we felt rushed. I have tried it now but wouldn't go back.

Be careful if you book Roka for a party.

For a friend's 50th birthday we booked a table for 7 a month in advance only to be phoned 2 days before to be informed that the restaurant had taken a booking for 35 so we would have to go earlier and be out in 2 hours. There was no apology or offer of compensation such as a discount or free drinks as a way of apologising. Needless to say we rebooked with another restaurant and cancelled the booking at Roka.

My husband and I popped in for lunch. Though the restaurant was busy, we were welcomed as soon as we arrived and given a table. The serving staff were friendly and at no point did we feel rushed.

I can't believe how long it's taken me to try Roka but it did not disappoint! My partner and I went for an anniversary meal and were greeted by friendly staff and a complimentary bottle of champagne. The menu is amazing and it was tough to choose! We had a meze to share for starters and the quality and quantity was perfect for us. Followed by the lamb shish for main, I've never had lamb cooked so well! I can't wait to return

This is a lovely restaurant with great food and service. We came on the off chance and managed to get a table and had a lovely Mezee which we all enjoyed with prompt service and staff were great with the little one. Balcony is nice to sit on when it is a lovely day and overall we had a great time. Would recommend and return in the future.

We enjoyed another family meal here on a Saturday lunchtime. Food is brilliant, hot and very tasty. Wine was good. They were so kind to my one year old Granddaughter. Staff very delightful. Highly recommend.

Absolutely fabulous. Nice portions good value. Next time we will have ore different starters and no main course. Reason they were greeeeeeaaaaattttt.

Lovely restaurant. I have visited twice now, once with family and then with friends.

Was nothing short of blown away at having a proper Turkish restaurant in this area - tends to be just run-of-the-mill Chinese, Indian & Italian food options unless you head further in towards London. The starters are great - really liked the Lamb's liver, Sucuk (Turkish sausage) and the dips. The bread is unfathomably-soft and addictive; the grilled meats are delicious and the drink selection is good enough to be the main reason for some to come along. The fig dessert and baklava are also noteworthy. All of this comes at a more-than-reasonable price tag, too. Ergo, I have nothing but praise for this place, including the genuinely-friendly staff. Top marks all round!

Had a lovely meal at Roka, sat out on the balcony/terrace. Food was lovely, service is fantastic, would highly recommend.

Enjoyed a beautifully presented plate of mezes with a range of flavours accompanied by freshly baked bread. Followed by baklava with a scoop of macadamia ice cream. Absolutely delicious . Was part of the 2 course luncheon menu . Good atmosphere with light music in the background. Very attentive and charming service. Thoroughly recommend.

Went for my second visit recently and was just as good as the first. Food is lovely and the service very friendly and efficient. We shall be back again soon

A table for 4 on a Sunday lunctime - absolutely brilliant and one of the best meals out ever. A slow paced family lunch, fantastic Turkish red wine and quality delivery service. This has ticked all our boxes - try the Turkish Coffe at the end and the presentation is outstanding. Let me warn you in advance, firstly that there are lots of steps going in different directions (so don't drink too much) and secondly parking is a hit/miss in the side streets, and finely its a little pricey but frankly its worth it. I recommend the Roka, The square at Bagshot.

Very nice meal with plenty of flavour and well cooked but a tad on the expensive side compared to other Turkish restaurants we visit. Would return but not regularly due its price tag.

We came as a family to celebrate two birthdays and our group included 3 children. When we gave our food order we asked for the children’s meals to come with the starters. Our waiter thought this could be a problem which I struggled to understand, but he told us he would ask the kitchen.

I write this review as a native and with a heavy heart. But when sampling different cuisines I always wonder what natives would make of it so here goes. My British partner and I visited this week. The service was a little slow but there were some big parties in. We had the loveliest British waiter but were largely ignored by the Turkish staff. A little rude culturally but unimportant.
