The food was good. The service could have been better. The gentleman who sat us and took drink orders was very friendly and helpful. The lady who served us was not quite as friendly or helpful. We waited at least 25 min on water we ordered with our drinks when we sat. Took another while to get attention to request condiments and one food item never made it to the table (that is on the kitchen and not the servers fault). Overall we were left unimpressed.

What a great place to spend a convivial evening with delicious food and outstanding service. Robin, the chef, went to a huge amount of trouble to cater for my complex eating needs- he really wanted me to have a delicious meal- and I did, thanks to his care and hard work. Thank you, Robin and all the other staff.

Anytime we are in Belfast we always visit Robinsons/fibber magees for either food or night out. Staff are welcoming the food is always good. The mens toilets are mank. Pi$$ all over the floor and the smell is just terrible. If the management could get on top of the toilet issue ot would be top class venue. This wasn't just a once off visit there. We have been here on 4 occasions over past 12 months and same toilet issue.

We booked this quite last minute but they found room for our group. The lift facility was appreciated by someone who appreciated the extra assistance. Staff were super friendly and helpful all evening and were happy to take a couple of photos of our family get together. Food was served quickly, we had a mixture of mostly pies and burgers. The pie was very tasty. And those who had burgers said they enjoyed them too. And as an extra a scarf got left behind and they couldn’t have been more helpful in looking, and phoning back to say it had been found.

Bar area was fine, upstairs bistro was a bit poor. Not the greatest choice, and my simple starter and drinks for others in the party had been forgotten. Pub grub pretending to be a bistro, steak (unusual choice for me!) was large but fatty, tough and gristly. Less and better quality would have been better. Limited wine choices. Whole experience was a bit low quality, so I wouldn’t return. There must be somewhere better just round the corner, only there for one night so didn’t have chance to find it!

Atmosphere is great. Busy on the night we stayed but staff was nothing but rude. One bar woman was chomping down her chewing gum like it was her last hour to live and told me she’d “think about it” when we ordered our drinks. Been several times before and always loved the food. Today was a letdown. Starters were poor, creamy garlic mushrooms had cooled before serving and the pate was served like ice-cream. Waited half an hour for main courses. Asked for a port and was asked do I want ice in it, I said no. Watched the bar staff pour the port on ice and then waitress pick the ice out before bringing it to me. Was struggling to find a place to grab just a simple small amount of food along with a pint. Went into downstairs front bar and felt invisible, walked through to fibbers and got served immediately, asked for a food menu Partner just wanted a sandwich and I really wasn't feeling hungry so opted for just a side of champ. Barmaid asked if would lime some gravy or a peppercorn sauce with the champ. As can't always trust people's gravy making g skills asked for a small amount on the side. Food came and Barmaid said your gravy will be here in a moment. Partner was trying to eat a sandwich which was accompanied by an unwanted unadvertised side salad and nachos and my champ although nice lacked moisture, really needed the gravy which never actually arrived as barmaid came to me basically 2 spoonful from the end of the reporting say she had requested it 3 times. If I had waited I would.have cold food and my partner would have finished. Partners review is save being ripped off better value and choice of sandwich 3 doors up at tesco

Entered and informed the very kind waitress of our reservation. Some fella in a black shirt needlessly intervened and showed us to our table. Then informed us he would return for our drinks order. He never did. His colleague took our drinks order for 4 people. 10 minutes later we had our food order taken. 10 minutes after that we had our starters placed down…still no drinks. Asked for the drinks…still no drinks. Got up, asked if our drinks were coming, again the ‘manager’ interjected informing us one of our drinks wasn’t on the menu (non alcoholic kopparberg) …it was. All drinks eventually arrived…after the starter was finished. Then, over an hour went by with no sign of our main. A couple opposite us got their starter and main before anyone even came near us to ask if we’d received our food. What horrible horrible service, not even a proper word of sorry, in a world that needs the survival of this industry before it goes bust. It thinking of dining in Belfast, go elsewhere.
