Going to give five stars but must point out we haven't eaten anything here. This is just for information. We tried to visit on 28th October. Google said open and there wasn't a phone number so we drove to the cafe but it was closed. There was just someone locking the door at about 12.40pm ish. Please please update your information, we will try to visit when we're on holiday again

Aleays a reliable spot for a break when walking, the new young staff appear to have kept the place much as it was, albeit cleaned up and some of the old lictures we missed, but the cakes were as amazing as ever and the coffee probably a lot better then at one time! Seemed as popular and as crowded, too but thats what you get at Ballintoy Harbour! It attracts the world but coped well.

Friendly place with very good selection of cakes and treats including ice-cream. Location is very picturesque and was told that the location appears in Game of Thrones, but having not seen the series, I could not say otherwise. Cost 41 pounds for a family of 6 adults for drinks and a cake each, so just under 7pounds per person. Good place to hide from the rain.

Went here for lunch on a family holiday. The soup of the day was absolutely delicious, specially ordered gluten-free cheese and ham toasties were also amazing ( two showed up and I would only expect one given that they were already on offer ) . Gluten-free carrot cake is also very nice. As someone with coeliac disease it was great to have so many options. The atmosphere and location were lovely and if we are ever nearby again we will definitely be returning.

It’s Pitty that they say you can eat breakfast when at 8AM, 9AM, 10AM and finally at 11AM they closed. Anyhow staff came at 8:30 so I do not understand why it’s taking 3h to prepare a coffee, tee and some bread. When asked when they open - “I don’t know”. And btw CASH ONLY!

This is a wonderful coffee shop! We arrived at 6 o'clock for a quick pit stop and it was well worth it! We ordered hot chocolate, three berry scones and croissants. The scones were freshly prepared that morning by the manager and she was so lovely and happily explained to me about allergens. Staff were all very friendly. Scones came with fresh cream and jam. One of the nicest scones I've had in ages - went back for a second one! Croissant was heated. We sat outside with a lovely view of the harbour. Couldn't recommend it enough! Note: cash only!

Just there for teas and cakes and on the whole very good. Summer fruit slice with ice cream was excellent and was in fact plenty for both of us. Nothing seemed to be any trouble for them. The only downside is the lack of internet connection/mobile signal which means that can only accept cash payments. I was grateful that I had cash on hand. I visited Rourke's Kitchen, as a mystery shopper, in April 2023. We had a delicious coffee and cream scone. The scenery is breathtaking and the atmosphere was fantastic with two of the waitresses playing the fiddle. The menu is first class: - a small menu but everything baked to perfection. Please note, you must pay in cash and both sterling and Euros are accepted. The kitchen opens at 11am on a Saturday, although several customers I spoke with said times do change. There are seats and a fire inside and picnic tables outside with the most beautiful view of the harbour. A really special find which we will certainly visit again.

We told some people we were staying in Ballintoy Harbour, and the first thing they mentioned was this café. They gestured with their hands as they said, 'They have BIG cakes there.' We were not disappointed. Very BIG cakes. But the Victoria sponge was so light even a BIG slice didn't seem over the top. Well worth a visit. Closes at 6-ish.

Lovely meal here and they even provided water for our dog as we sat outside. Don't take credit cards but prices are reasonable and the food is fresh and straightforward. Would recommend here.

We found this restaurant while we exploring the country lanes near the Carrick-a-Rede Rope Bridge. The weather was horrible with dense crowds so we abandoned that task.

The best Irish Stew in NI and the cakes etc are scrumptious. We travel from Australia to NI for a few weeks every year to visit family in Belfast and always make a couple of visits to Roark's Kitchen.
