Recommended to us by a local and we all enjoyed our meals. Good size portions which make it very good value. Vegan options available - my daughter tried the cashew paella which she enjoyed and gets the added bonus of the salad bar followed by the frangipane tart. My husband was very happy with his steak & kidney pie and opted for the roast potatoes and vegetables from the carvery roast. People who chose the carvery option were piling their plates high! And I enjoyed a fresh crab salad again with option of adding anything extra from the salad bar. We also had drinks and coffees and the bill was £50 for all 3 of us.

We go to the Riviera Restaurant at least once a month, sometimes much more. The food standard never drops. They put new dishes on, now and again, and there is always the special board. The staff work really hard, and are always so friendly. We had to wait outside the other week, as they were so busy, but only for a short while. It is a bit hectic when busy, so not a romantic place to take your lady, but if you did,she would like her meal.

The George

08/07/2018: Very busy on Friday night but staff welcoming and friendly. Relatively cosy pub with great atmosphere inside and outside. Good range of local ales. Food good but felt a bit like it was trying to be posh but didn't need to be. Enjoyed it though and had a great evening.
28/07/2018: Went for an evening meal. Bar has been improved. Lovely pub, easy parking and friendly service. Menu is a bit limited, but plenty of the usual pub classic dishes. I started with pate and then had fish. Everything was very nice. Online web site could be better especially to show a current menu. Worth a visit.

The Gribble Inn

29/07/2018: Prebooked Saturday dinner for 11, and arrived with the table all ready. Great to find a pub which is truly dog friendly, dogs more than welcome inside, so our little dachshund was fine.
31/07/2018: We called in for an early evening dinner on Friday and were very pleased by the venue, the ambiance and the menu.
