Able to park just down the road. Given a really warm welcome. Lovely breakfast, with a good choice and lovely coffee. Clean toilet with a view 😊. Able to pay cash or card. Would definitely recommend.

Lovely, spotlessly clean old fashioned cafe. Small menu of simple cafe foods done very well. Only toasties but nicely presented and so flavoursome.

Happened to find this gem after a long beach walk so we were starving hungry! However, we did not anticipate the size of the plate of food despite ordering the 'big one' each..... probably BEST breakfast in NW! Hash browns and Black Pudding's delicious..... Coffee was also outstanding so we'll be back and thankfully doggie friendly too!

A really friendly cafe and wide choice of food which caters for everyone. We were made very welcome when we arrived with our greyhound and would have returned for breakfast had they been open on a Monday. Altogether a great find and worthy of all the good reviews it receives.

Delicious food. I ordered a ham and cheese toasty with chips and salad. Great crispy texture, real ham rather than tiny slices and the chips were fluffy inside, crispy outside. The place was packed and a bit noisy to start, but absolutely delicious. Friendly staff and reasonable prices. Definitely recommend.

Walking the Snowdonia Mountain way we stop everyday in a different place for lunch and….. coffee. Today we had by far the best coffee in Wales we had until now. Next to this lunch was delecious and the staff gave us a bunch of ideas for our coming days in Conwy 👍🏻

Top cafe, friendly staff and excellent breakfast. Ate here twice, the food was excellent and was produced quickly. There was a good variety on the menu at good prices. Worth a visit.

We popped in for some lunch as the seagrass on the front was shut. The food itself was cooked well enough and was better than your average cafe / greasy spoon. The main issue was the place was full of thick smoke from the kitchen and we left absolutely stinking of grease and food, we did open the door but it was too cold so it had to be shut. The coffee was also pretty bad tbh and served far too hot so it was bitter ! A flat white should be a shorter coffee in a smaller cup, not served to the top in a large cup so it's milky. The food itself was ok but the place isn't great and a bit glum and smokey as hell. Wouldn't rush back.

Always friendly and freshly cooked. Air fried chips are brilliant and the jacket potato was big. Good to reserve a place if you are going lunchtime.

My husband & I spotted this cafe on the Google Map and decided to visit. We are glad that we did. We ordered 2 big breakfasts and 2 lattes. The lattes were prepared for us and served with a mini biscuit freshly made on the premises. The biscuits will suit everybody, as they are vegan and vegetarian friendly. The breakfasts were freshly prepared and fantastically served to us. During our visit we were made to feel very welcome and were not treated any differently to their regular customers. When chatting to the staff we found out that they have been running the place for 2 years and the times of opening are different to ones advertised on other channels. They are open on Tuesday to Saturday 09:00 to 16:30 and closed Sundays & Mondays. Last orders for food is 16:00 There is only one toilet, which overlooks the river running below.

Highly recommend the tuna toastie. One of the best toasted sandwiches I’ve ever had and very tasty coffee. Really good value as well.

I had the vegan breakfast and my family had the big breakfast and the traditional brealfasts. It was amazing, the hashbrowns were soft and crisp and they had vegan black pudding I don't remember what black pudding tastes like but my family tried it alongside real black pudding and said it was "remarkably similar" Wasn't keen on the scrambled tofu, was a bit bland except for termeric, but I'm not fond of tofu. The vegan sausages were great, they had skins and tasted really nice. There was a good variety of items, hallumi would have been nice and the fried baby plum tomatoes went really well. Big teapot had two cups of tea and they provided refills of hot water and a choice of oat or soya milk as well as normal milk. Also gave complimentary homemade shortbread with the tea, all vegan but tasted buttery with a hint of orange. Everyone was full and really enjoyed their breakfasts.

Had the most delicious breakfast this morning, everything was perfect!! Also loved the chocolate cherry cake. Looked after me as always. Great job girls.

I visited on a quiet March morning, and the food and company from the staff is exactly what I was looking for. The cafe itself is clean and soothing, the food is well made and tasty. Would highly recommend!

I have been to this cafe three times and all the food was excellent and of great value. There's a good selection of vegetarian and vegan options too.

We both had the big breakfast. Includes black pudding which my husband loves, so I gave him mine! Delicious sausage, bacon, poached egg and fresh mushrooms fried in butter. Yummy. Came with brown or white toast.

My wife and I called in on Friday 11 June for a light lunch after reading good reviews and the fact they had gluten-free options. My wife had a full breakfast and I had the GF option of pulled ham, egg, chips and beans. The food was excellent, great portion sizes and very good value for money. We both had a cappuccino and latte which were very hot, something we both like and which is rare to find nowadays. Nice seating area, Covid compliant, very friendly and polite staff, I would highly recommend Riverside Cafe and will definitely be returning. Oh and fog friendly too! Thanks

Today was our second visit and all four of us had the Traditional breakfast, beautifully cooked and presented. The staff are friendly and helpful and service was excellent. We will certainly be going back. We understand from the owner that she only took over the business in 2019 during lockdown, the telephone number has changed to 01248 209969.

My brother and I (combined age 155 ) are doddery pensioners,not in the best of health. We have been here dozens of times over the last 4 years and today we arrived in strong winds & pouring rain at 2.15pm, 45 min before closing time as stated on the door.This was our usual time of arrival. We were obviously unwelcome and told there was no food because they stopped taking orders at 2pm - as if we should have realised this. I thought they might have said " but we can rustle up something quick and simple eg poached eggs..." and give us a tea or coffee, but the young lady turned her back on us and we left. We found a cafe called The Sea Grass on the prom which was open until 4pm. It was warm and clean,the food was tasty and the lady who served us made us feel welcome.What a difference!

Lovely Cafe. Staff are really friendly and they work hard. Its a busy place. Lots of regulars. Great coffee. Freshly cooked breakfasts and beautiful homemade cakes. We had banana loaf topped with cream cheese icing. Very moist and tasty. Scones were fresh from the oven so we took some home. We will definately be back very soon.

We stopped here after visiting nearby Newborough Warren. Good selection of food, but service terrible. Staff forgot part of our order, were cold with no customer service skills. I felt quite uncomfortable the way the owner spoke to my 7 year old son. Chocolate cake we chose looked good, but why was it infused with mint with no signing to suggest such? Really poor.

Staff are absolutely rude, no people skills, customer service was horrendous, I kindly asked for a menu and was told abruptly to wait!! my friends ordered what they wanted no problem, I then asked for a small portion of food as I have a eating disorder, they refused me as small portions are for children under 12 only, but what about OAP'S that only eat small portions do they have to pay almost £8 for a meal they aren't going to eat??? The prices are absolutely shocking!!! Finally found the pavilion down on the beach front and had lovely food, lovely staff and much better prices and a lovely ice cream too :) I'm not one to winge but Riverside pantry you need to appreciate your customers more.

We visited this little gem over a year ago for a coffee to take away. The two women that served me were lovely, genuine people and most helpful with the local area. I remember being impressed with the quality of the coffee at the time and said to my partner “we must try there one day for light bites”Well, over a year later I phoned to book a table for us and the whole experience was nothing less than perfect!We both ordered panini‘s with a side of chips and a pot of tea.The black tea was really nice, served in a delightful cup too!The chips were to DIE FOR! Crispy yet soft and chunky too! Best chips I have ever tasted to be honest! These alone are worth a visit for!Now we had a welsh cheese and gammon ham panini and a turkey, stuffing and cranberry panini, both prepared to perfection! Crispy all around and soft in the middle with top quality ingredients used. They came served with sweet corn, red onion, lettuce, cucumber and baby tomatoes. A portion of crisps and some beautifully homemade coleslaw.Exceptional customer service.Fantastic decor with lovely little touches.Great atmosphere (friendly and warm).Amazing food (I mean that).A good strong cup of coffee & selection of drinks (creamy hot chocolate, fentiments, speciality teas etc).Well done to the business owner for creating an absolutely fantastic little cafe.If every cafe was as delightful as the Riverside Pantry? Had a beautiful Afternoon Tea this afternoon at the Riverside Café. The service was wonderful and the food we had was lovely! The choice and the variety was spectacular!

Visited with family and we were not disappointed. Great choice of menu and the staff were superb. We will definately be back soon.

This is my favourite cafe to visit. Staff are always cheerful and polite and very helpful. The menu has multiple choice of homemade quality fresh food. I've tried soaps, full breakfast, omelettes and sandwiches all off which were perfectly cooked and presented. Highly recommended xx

What a delight this little place is. Very friendly staff, breakfast was one of the best we've ever had (even in some quite posh hotels). Very accommodating and reasonably priced. What more could you ask for?

Had read some good reviews for this place so decided to pop down and try lunch there. Fitted us in even though we were just past the end of food service. Couldn’t have been nicer. Staff were lovely top notch service. Food was lovely . Colouring books for kids and good kids meals. My son loved his surprise ice lolly at the end of the meal Would defiantly recommend friendliest cafe we’ve been to in ages.

We called in here on our way to Llandudno and so pleased that we did. Rather unassuming from the outside, but such a warm welcome awaits. My husband follows a gluten free diet, and he had the choice of around three dishes, which puts many high end establishments to shame. As has been mentioned in other reviews, the chips are to die for, and are G/F.

Always a friendly welcome in this family run café - such a difference from the big chains. Menu is good, fairly priced and tasty food - what more could you ask for?

Stopped off here on the way back from Beaumaris for lunch after reading the Trip Advisor reviews on here. There is roadside parking close by and they accept card payments over £5, so it was a good start! It's a small cafe which looks pretty unassuming from the outside, but is tastefully furnished and the staff very welcoming. We arrived at 1.58pm to discover that they stopped serving hot food at 2pm and closed at 3pm, however they were more than happy to make our lunch order for us, which consisted of a panini, a hot sandwich and a portion of chips. The sandwiches came with a side salad, some really good thick crisps and a lot of coleslaw and themselves were fresh, beautifully cooked and very tasty. The chips were golden, crunchy, gluten free (despite having a very light coating) and DIVINE! Drinks were reasonably priced and the staff genuinely wanted to know that we were happy with it all.

Went there today for lunch and the staff were so friendly and approachable. The food was superb and the service was really fast! Definitely recommend visiting, I will be returning!! Great little cafe!!

Excellent service with special requests catered for, fresh tasty food and plenty of it, served with a smile. Very clean and tidy. Toilet had fresh flowers and was really clean.

When we travel from Shropshire for the day we always make a beeline for the Riverside Cafe..Their breakfast is a good portion and very well cooked. The staff are very friendly and helpful. I would recommend this cafe to everyone.

Lovely café, we reserved a table and were glad we did as it was busy. The lady who served us was really friendly. The food and drinks were excellent, great presentation and tasty sandwiches served with a selection of mini salads - potato, carrot etc. Judging by how busy it was it looks like the word is out that this is a great place to meet up.

The cafe now trades as Riverside Cafe at the same address. A group of us visited on 15th December and we were served with beautifully prepared and presented food that was freshly and quickly served.The cafe is conveniently located in Llanfairfechan and seems to be popular with locals - always a good sign!The cafe was welcoming and a pleasant place to spend time with friends. I look forward to my next visit there.

New owners took over 5 weeks ago and what a breakfast.Always have a breakfast the morning we travel back BUT should have had brekkie here every day, great serving and even got fried bread made special fantastic value for money, great service really nice people.

Visited today for some lunch with friends, I had the home made leek and potato soup with a sandwich, it was all delicious and well presented. The cappuccino was lovely to and served hot. Really good value for money...can't wait to go back.

Wow has this gone downhill, just paid over the odds for a breakfast butty. It seems one piece of bacon is too much the "tail, the streaky bit" the best bit had been removed it seems from our butties, so half a piece of bacon. One mushroom cut into 3, per bap, really!, one mushroom on a bap are times that hard? Burnt hashbrowns, they're a regular occurance wherever you go. The best till last, the sausage, who cuts a sausage across the middle for a sandwich? Lengthways would at least go someway to hiding the fact there's only one mushroom and half a piece of bacon. Can't comment on the rest of the menu as this was my first visit since reopening. On the strength of this probably the last. A plus, The staff are very friendly.

The best café in Llanfairfechan is changing hands, but I will still give it a try. We had lunch here on Thursday and as usual it was very good. We had the chicken curry with rice and garlic bread and a cheese and onion pie, chips and beans. As always the food was good, hot and well priced. I was amazed to read the negative rating made in March as I have never experienced any of the faults encountered. Maybe they don't realise that good food takes time to be prepared, unlike a fast food outlet??

I took my cousin out for lunch here last week. We were very late for lunch but still nothing was too much trouble. Excellent vegetarian choice. Even though it was very late for lunch the food was hot and the salad was fresh. Good and speedy service. Will definitely go her again.

My wife and i went to this realy nice cafe again. And as before we had a really nice welcome by staff. They could not do enough. The food and the servise was excellent. This is a cafe worth a visit.

This is a message to whoever the person is behind Ambles1292, who either has got the wrong establishment with their review, or they have some suspicious agenda for their inaccurate and blatant damning of our local café.When I first went into Riverside Pantry many years ago now I was met with, and have been ever since, a warm and pleasant welcome.The home cooked food ( and proper chips, none of your frozen type) is always superb. Being a vegetarian they have always gone out of their way to cater for my requirements too.The place is always spotless, the food freshly prepared ( has a five star food hygiene rating ), and the décor is not outdated, Anne wanted the ambience to be homely in a traditional style, which I believe she has achieved perfectly. Anne decorates the café at least twice a year to keep it fresh and clean.I could go on, but think I have summarised what I need to here, so Ambles 1292, the only comment I can make about your good self is I do hope you are not responsible for evaluating patient/service users care plans, because your level of inaccuracy would not be therapeutic or accurate for their care.A shameful review from Ambles 1292, if you had any manners or intellect, you would and could have raised these concerns on the day.

Shocked to see a negative feed back I went with my husband and two boys a month or so ago it was delightful staff were very helpful as I am a very fusy eater and do not eat dairy products the lady behind the counter couldn't do enough to help I will defenetly pop in again when passing in Easter

I'm not one for posting on these sites however I feel it would be an injustice if I didn't having seen a previous post which to me sounds a little ridiculous and something which I feel sounds totally out of character. I've been coming to this cafe for 3 yrs regularly and have been greeted by lovely staff on each occasion and have never had a problem or issue. The standard of food served has always been fantastic (especially the Welsh Rarebit) and the staff have always been more than happy to assist with anything. Regardless of how busy it gets or how busy or quiet it is my experience has always been pleasant and I don't think I can't go on here without mentioning how delicious the home made cakes are, which, to be honest, is just home baking at its best.I personally love this cafe, my wife loves this cafe and my kids love this cafe and we will certainly be back for more cakes very soon, keep up the good work and get baking!!!!!

Such a lovely atmosphere, feel very welcome as soon as you walk in!! The food is lovely there and the service is very quick. It's a weekly visit for me and my mum and each time we walk out we are pleased with everything. Everything is very clean, would definitely recommend if you are passing through.

I am a regular customer at this lovely, friendly, clean cafe and every visit is of excellent standard. I offer my kids a treat of eating out every half term and it's here they choose each time! We always come into riverside pantry when we come over to llanfair for the day to see my nan,a lovely and friendly cafe. with my two young children it's always hard to keep them occupied when we go out for dinner but the staff are always so friendly and chatty, the food is always lovely and on point with it all being home cooked, the kids meals are also brilliant with great prices, the desserts are to die for especially the jam rolly pollyA great cafe if you want a nice homemade meal defiantly pop in you will not be disappointed

I visited the cafe with my daughter, a friend and her granddaughter. We were greeted with a big smile and a hello. We were made to feel very welcome and sat in the window. We were offered colouring books and crayons for the children, which they loved. My friend and I had breakfasts which arrived hot, it was very tasty. The youngest child was given a small set of cutlery and a child's plate, a very nice touch. The food arrived in good time and the chips my daughter had were amazing, proper home made, not out of a bag. My friend thought it was great to have a view of the river out of the toilet window and said it was lovely and clean. She also commented on how nice it was that there was also a smaller toilet seat inside the main one for little children. The cafe was also lovely and clean. The staff were very helpful and nothing was too much trouble. Will definitely be visiting again.

Possibly one of the most friendly cafe's that we as a family have visited. Homemade everything which gives the home from home feel. The staff cannot do enough to make you feel welcome. The portions sizes are perfect, and well presented. Very very clean and tidy cafe, Would highly recommend visiting.

I was really shocked to read the bad review about riverside pantry. We go there every week and have never had a bad experience. Staff are always lovely. Food is excellent. That's why we go so often. I am a very awkward customer but they are always happy to do things the way I want. Even down to the type of cup I want and how I want my coffee. Cappuccinos, late, Decaffeinated,or filter might I just add. My advice is try this cafe and home made food/cakes. Fresh good food takes time to cook. If you want slap dash food go somewhere else.

I work in the hospital locally and thought I'd try the cafe. I was met with 'you're not from around here' kind of look. No friendly staff. I went in at 12.10 and I ordered at 12.12 egg and chips, my friend ordered a coffee, sausage egg and chips. They didn't take cards so thankfully we pulled cash together.After talking for about 15mins we wondered where the coffee was. The waitress was busy sorting her friends out with drinks and food who arrived after us. Eventually we got the coffee and it was literally like porridge. It was lumpy and luke warm and just tasted like off milk. After the waitress had finished chatting to her friends, going out for a cigarette outside the front door of the shop in full view, coming back in and not washing her hands... going into the kitchen and back out to clear a table...we were still wondering where the food was. It's about 12.45 now and my shift resumes at 1. Her friends had their food and coffee within 20mins and in the cafe were her 2 friends, my friend and I. I then turn around to see what's going on, seeing the lady in the kitchen touching her hair/face with no gloves on and touching the food.It finally gets to 1pm and I get up. I ask for it to be taken away. 'but it's ready now' was the response. I asked again politely for it to be taken away and they huffed asking if we needed cutlery. Seriously? How else was I going to eat a fried egg? We finally got it in the boxes at 1.07 and we had to run back.I opened the box, I had (not exaggerating) 8 chips and 2 rubber and mostly black eggs. None of it was vaguely warm.What a terrible cafe. I've warned people from it. I thought I'd warn you too. Penmaenmawr is about 12mins up the road. I managed to drive there, order the same as the cafe, have the food in my hands to take away and drive back all within 30 mins. Don't waste your time.

Go to this excellent cafe every time we visit Wales 1st class food at a good price the breakfasts are recommended also for smaller appetites the bacon barmcake

This is an excellent little café that offers a very comprehensive menu of freshly cooked meals using best quality ingredients. Friendly staff and very reasonable prices. Extremely popular and busy. As it is quite small space is limited.

Myself and my partner live in the next village and have past this cafe many times we went in to try it a couple of weeks ago and really wish we'd discovered it sooner. The food is lovely and locally sourced. The staff are very friendly and welcoming the lovely lady even bought toys over for my 9 month son. The food there is all homemade and delicious my partner is a very fussy eater (having been a chef) and complains most time we eat out but has no complaints what so ever with the food and says its delicious. We've been there six times since finding it a few weeks ago so that speaks for itself.

A very pleasant little cafe, owners very nice.My friend & myself had liver and onions and beef stew and dumplings, the meat in both cases was lovely, very tender and tasty. We had it with mash, (very good), but the carrots and broccoli were wet and sort of rubbery, just like they were frozen. The desserts we should have given them a miss, again they were brought in not home made, the custard was good.
