We had a great , unexpected visit to the Riverbank today . The rain shortened what would have been a long day out on the hills . Instead we decided to take ourselves for a coffee and a sandwich as we were feeling too cold and soggy! The cafe has a superb location right next to the impressive Burnsall bridge . I had a chicken and avocado foccacia and Lu had the vegetarian option , an asparagus romesco ? They were both absolutely delicious ! Really generously sized, homemade bread , (the best foccacia I've ever tasted) fresh and you could tell they were made from quality ingredients . Soooo impressed . We weren't expecting that sort of special . It really made our day ! The chap that served us was really friendly and even gave Lu his recipe for dandelion jam. Thank you so much ! We can't wait to come back .

After an 8-mile snowy excursion on the Dales Way, this little cafe was offering the perfect takeaway fare after a winter's walk - delicious homemade tomato and pepper soup with 2 generous slices of focaccia bread on the side. The coconut and lime cake was moist and the great sweet treat after the soup. So good to find such high-quality fare in such a small place and many good things on the menu to try out next time we visit. Good value, too.

If you’re in Burnsall, this is a super cool place for a bite to eat. Nestled on the banks of the river, conveniently in the car park, the riverbank offers an outstanding welcome, great surroundings and a superb atmosphere to have a bite to eat or just chill out over coffee with friends and family alike. The ‘posh’ bacon sandwich in fresh sour dough bread with lashings of bacon, avocado, salad greens, vine tomatoes and caramelised onion, is to die for!! Probably the best Bacon Sandwich in the World!!

Beautifully restored stone building, right by the River Wharfe in the centre of pretty Burnsall. Quite possibly the best flat white in Yorkshire. This is proper coffee! We timed our walk to make sure that it was open (Thursdays - Sundays) as we had been in the area a couple of weeks previously when it was shut and so unfortunately had to go to the Red Lion. The coffee here is tastier, served with a smile and is £2.50 against the £3.20 from the pub. Also, the Fat Boys sausage rolls (we had 2 each, with 2 coffees as we lingered) charged up the batteries nicely. This has always been a little gem serving brilliant food and coffees with a lovely smile and chat. Our first visit today since it closed for the building work and it now looks fab. Great extension with a sun trap patio. And importantly the food and service hasn't changed, still the best in Burnsall! The inside would be superb come those cold, winter days.

This place is fantastic and it is hard to believe the quality that comes out of a coffee kiosk! he quality of food and great service always puts a smile on my face but the real challenge is making a decision on what to eat - its is all so good. The new extension looks fantastic and I cannot wait to dine there - good luck wishing you much success.

Had the nicest scone I have ever eaten from here! The lady was really nice and gave me a free sample of delicious banana loaf to try too. Great cup of tea in biodegradable cup. Little gem of a place.

Wonderful service, amazing setting beside the Wharfe, and the sausage rolls are amazing. However, I don't think you could make a bad choice on the sweet or savoury choices available!

Riverbank is a lovely little riverside cafe with home-made cakes and pastries and exceptional range of coffees and teas. Every little detail has been considered and the renovation work currently being executed to include a wood fired oven will catapult this little place into something very special. The staff are warm and welcoming. It deserves to succeed - which it will! They have got everything right! The sausage rolls were amazing and my ginger cake and cappucino were simply perfect.

The soup and cakes were to die for. The lady was extremely friendly and we enjoyed the well earned food after our walk. Little tables outside with log fire.

We normally stop and have a coffee here after a round trip to Grassington, we hadn’t realised it was under new management. What a delightful couple of ladies, who provide hot water bottles, blankets and a well lit chimney.

We planned to park here for our 7 mile riverside walk to Grassington and back and the Riverbank was a huge bonus. We ate fat boys and drank fresh coffee before we started, they kept us full all day.

Is there such a thing as a cosy corner in a car park - Yes!!Coming across the Riverbank Coffee Hut on a wet and dreary morning brightened the day considerably. Fantastic home cooked food and top quality coffee. Service was not only very good, but very generous. After having consumed a 'Fat Boy' sausage roll, I think the lady spotted me drawling as I eyed the Riverbank Pie, and out came a free sample. Outstanding in every way. Top marks!!

Stopped here for a coffee and I’m glad I did, I didn’t just get a coffee, I was tempted by the posh bacon sarnie, this was amazing, highly recommended, I also got some sausage rolls and cakes to take away, what a fantastic little cafe, and worth stopping if you are in the area. All the seating is outside but you don’t feel the cold with the outside fire going, brilliant

Great bacon sandwich on sourdough bread. Banana cake as light as a feather. It was raining but still a treat with the great location, umbrellas and wood burner. If there are no spaces on the road then the car park arrangement is a little strange and expensive with two pounds for a token or four pounds cash and makes the experience a little less welcoming.
