Ritchies Fish and Chips in Belfast

The food is amazing, the service is amazing, THE BEST CHIPPY IN BELFAST, cant fault this place one bit

I think this is just my third visit but every time it is great and non greasy. I ordered a standard size cod this time as last time I ordered the large one and it was too much for me. Staff are friendly and bubbly and like banter. They are all experienced fryers. My fish was non greasy and I good portion with a decent handful of chips free gratis. Unfortunately the cost, like everyone else's has risen dramatically. It was £8.00 for the fish. Will keep supporting them as and when and still fully recommend them.

Staff where extremely pleasant and polite, where humorous and did well whilst being very busy. Well done lads.

Extremely expensive £3.90 for a pastie which was not cooked right and no taste to the filling at all all of it left a greasy taste in our mouths we won't be back.

Never been before but read good reviews. Compact chippy menu. Very clean. I ordered a single cod. The staff are friendly and I assume the man at the till was the owner. The cod cost £7.55 and shows the steep inflation prices. It was a good sized fresh fish and a good handful of free chips with it. Fish and chips were non greasy and very filling. This place is on a par with my own favourite Cafe Fish on the Lisburn Road. But no haddock, only cod on menu. I will go back soon.

Hadnt been to Ritchies in a while but went last Saturday night I ordered Fish Bites and got a few chips thrown in as per usual I have to say they were delicious as nice a fish and chips as ive had The Fish was lovely real cod lovely thin batter and the home made chips beautiful Thanks to Peter the cook and the guy who served me who was very friendly and good craic had MCB Rowing top I will be spreading the word and definitely returning Keep up the good work Ritchies No 1 for me by a mile

I've never not finished a fish supper & after visiting Ritchie's I still haven't but this was a close run thing 😄 Huge portions. Quality grub. Nice guy.

Well I wasn't disappointed last time and I certainly wasn't disappointed today! Beautiful white fish in crisp golden batter...just perfect...very friendly staff!!

GOUJONS BE BANGING!! Honestly food is the kind of a quality chippy here, boxes of goujons and chips and dip for £4.80, wha?! No wonder I was amongst a que of a dozen at the shop! Wish I could upload pic of grub but I demolished it post haste!

This is the best chippy in east Belfast, the food and the staff are amazing, I want to say a special thank you to Peter, he really went above and beyond for me, tried the milkshakes for the first, absolutely divine, my husband always gets the jumbo cod, again it was all ate, I got the Hawaiian burger it was all ate. I cannot recommend this place enough, if you are ever in east Belfast you MUST go to this chippy

My husband got a jumbo cod and I got the fish bites, the food is amazing it is not greasy and it is piping hot, so glad we found this place. The staff ate amazing as well

Originally thought £3.95 for a taco chip was good, though it came as chips with taco sauce over it. Disappointed at it not being the real deal with minced beef etc

Never fails to hit the spot, top quality fish and chips, fresh and perfectly cooked. The owners are very friendly and it may cost a bit more than other chip shops but most definitely worth every penny.

Hoy, un amigo y yo fuimos a Ritchies y he aquí que lo han hecho una vez más. No solo el personal tiene un lugar absoluto en los hombres, la comida es comparable solo con la de los dioses. El tamaño de las porciones es de 10/10 y el tamaño de los goujons hace que todos los demás sean una vergüenza absoluta. Mi único consejo para Ritchies es que continúen su insustituible servicio al público. Nada, pero respeto de mi parte muchachos

Ritchies was recommend to us. Really big portions and the food tasted fresh and tasty. Would definitely recommend. Great prices too for what you get.

La primera vez que usé este chippy hoy, pero había oído cosas buenas sobre él. Tanto mi hijo como yo creemos que fue el mejor pescado y papas fritas que hemos tenido en mucho tiempo. We had a Ritchies tonight for a treat and it was delicious. The portions were huge, the service was excellent , natural and entertaining. Real value for money. We might have to use the leftovers for tomorrow night though.

they chucked fish at my feet (that dont work) and shoved chips into my wheels they also peer pressured me into taking a rare form of heroin. DISGUSTING!!!!

Been going to this chippy for years and would defiantly recommend it. Food is freshly prepared and is delicious. The portions are huge and I would suggest the chicken strips to anyone as they are amazing.

Best fish and chips in town! Cod supper is mind blowing. Burger is massive and tasty. Great portion sizes.

This is a great chippy. Take a friend or a dog as the portions are massive. The fish bites are scaled so that a dinosaur would be satisfied!

Yo solía venir aquí cuando yo era un niño y siempre fue precioso. Recuerdo su menú para niños con fotos y todo lo que tenía. Recuerdo que me dieron helado en juguetes de los pingüinos y fue muy agradable. Yo estaba en el año pasado y me tomé una hamburguesa y patatas fritas y mi padre y su novia dieron un pescado y una mansión de patatas, jajaja. Me dijeron que el pescado estaba bien pero demasiado patatas hombre. Es sin duda un recomendaría si realmente tienes hambre!

I have dined in and take away and the food is very tasty, very fresh and huge portions! great if you have a hangover or really hungry, the service is excellent too.

Belfast most expensive and disappointing chip shop in Belfast. Was the best along time ago but wouldn't recommend it. Small portions and very expensive. Not worth the money

Haven't been in a while as the food is bit pricey for things and the chips aren't nice there's alot of ends and it food always looks overly done now that's just been in my few times

For what we recieved I feel the money we paid was far to much bill was £16.85 meaning fish supper was around £8,also my chicken was not very appetising and small portions,my grand daughters burger was plain and "dull" the wife's fish and chips were very greasy all,in all not a good experience, it's been a long time since we got food from here and we will not be doing so again.

Just got charged £8.20 for two pieces of chicken with small chip. Didn't even get a drink with it. Needed one to wash the grease outta my mouth.

We are not local. In fact, we traveled to Belfast from Southern California. And we have been to many great countries in the world with amazing local cuisine. Ritchies absolutely tops our list (no contest!) as the best fish and chips we have had. Ever. The staff are incredibly friendly, and it has a mom & pop (casual) ambiance. After eating at Richies, we have yet to find another restaurant who rises to their standard. Warning: The portions are fairly large. My husband and I could have split one dinner and still had leftovers! But we enjoyed every bite.

As the title says, this place is the best chippie in Belfast. Their chicken burgers are out of this world. Huge portions with a decent price. Have never had anything from here that was less than delicious.

we are regular customers of ritchies and love their food, so much so we asked trip advisor to add their name to their site. we have sampled their frys, chicken burgers and their fish and can honestly say we would recommend them to anyone.their fish suppers are the best in belfast by far, and the quality never changes no matter when you visit. Ritchies is a family run business, they are more than helpful and when you use the sit in, at the side of the take away nothing is too much trouble.
