Rita's in Belfast

Lovely homely atmosphere and I had a pint of excellent ipa. The only downside is the live music which is overbearing in such a small place. Friendly staff and very clean

As if the drinks and live music in sumptuous surrounding weren’t enough, the friendly service from Joe was outstanding. Our experience was not just to be another number at the bar!

Tucked away close to central Belfast, this is a very cute cocktail bar. Reasonable price (£8-£10 per cocktail) with a well stocked bar for other choices. The main highlight for us was the decor & ambiance. Nicely decked out with cosy booths and cute corners with sumptuous soft furniture, it’s perfect for date nights or drinks with friends. The staff were really friendly too.

Ordered two pear drops and a “lady from iPanama” - pear drops were lovely. Other one was foul. Manager refused to replace and said that was how it was meant to be. Not pleased.

Good buzz and holiday vibe in this central cosy cocktail bar. Table service or if you prefer to stand at bar. we enjoyed a happy hour pre dinner here.

Me and my wife love this place. We get lost in our own little world inside Rita’s any time we go. The atmosphere is chilled but not overbearing. You can have a good conversation without being disturbed. The seating layout means you can sit privately as well, which we like. Service to the tables is one of the best things about it because I can’t be bothered going to the bar.

This is a very cool old fashioned bar ( in a cool way ) they do class cocktails and know how to make them . Hard to get a seat on a weekend

This is now my new favourite bar in Belfast. Been couple of times early evening and the atmosphere is fantastic. Great drinks is a lovely setting. Definitely recommend.

Had a cocktail in here with my wife on Sat evening, bit of live music. Would have to say staff maybe a bit "sure of themselves", atmosphere good. Remember lads the customer is the important one in the premises.

Well, what an absolute pleasure, from the delightful drinks.. we had the Bacchus.. to the hospitable Javan (I think that’s how you spell his name). He was dishing out popcorn, chocolate and charm like the Easter bunny. 10/10, would recommend.

As a resident of Belfast I’m embarrassed at the ethos employed by Rita’s of serving people a more expensive drink than asked for.

Best gin collection we found whilst in Belfast. Friendly welcoming staff with great cocktails knowledge. The bar is decorated quirkily and plays great music. Well worth a visit

Drinks fine and good ambience. Let down by cleanliness of bar. Feet sticking to carpet and toilets stinking of urine. How much does a bottle of toilet cleaner/ carpet cleaner cost?

I stumbled on this place after leaving the The Perch next door because it was too noisy. Rita’s isn’t quiet but it’s quiet enough to talk to your friends - while drinking your fabulous cocktails!

I have been here several times over the last few years, but hadn't been in a while. We popped in Saturday for a few drinks. Loved the Pina colada, so yummy and lovingly made. Prosecco was great to, nice touch with the strawberry or raspberry. There was a great singer on. All covers but good craic. Was very warm in the bar for a mild day, but once brought to the staffs attention, they turned the heating off. Would definitely pop in again.

First visit to this bar on Saturday night, lovely atmosphere, comfy seating (had to wait to get one),loads of choice at the bar with friendly engaging staff, music was good but not too loud so could enjoy a conversation with friends, will be returning and wouldn't hesitate to recommend a visit.

Came here on a hens after a day out in the city. The staff were very knowledgeable on their cocktails and they were the nicest cocktails m and and the rest of the group have ever had. Reasonably priced for the quality and attention to detail we received. Decor is vintage and unique and makes for a very relaxing fun time.

Cocktails were delicious and so well made. Menu is Amazing. So many to choose from. Staff were very good and fast service. Nice to see them making cocktails. Not that many seats. I seen some people had reserved seats. We stood at bar. Nice atmosphere.

Meeting knowledgeable belfast friends for pre dinner drinks. Querky interior full of character with good selection drinks coctails on offer. Staff friendly and on our visit beautiful singer and guitarist signing blues soul music😎 only downside limited seating but because we got one didnt care.😚

Took my friends here for a cocktail whilst they were in Belfast, and they both loved it as well. A couple of us a a very good whiskey sour whilst others had more citrus based cocktails. Would have liked to have stayed longer but food was calling.

This place has such a good atmosphere and the decor is really cool. The cocktails were great, and the service was good too! We were actually trying to find the perch, but this was right next door and I’m glad we came in.

Visited whilst spending the weekend in Belfast. A quirky but laid back bar with a great selection of drinks and some gorgeous cocktails. Staff were friendly and attentive. We were there on a Saturday evening and the music was absolutely brilliant. A quality DJ who played. If you are in a group I would suggest reserving a table.

I love the soft lighting - very atmospheric. Be prepared to wait to be served as there is only ever a couple of staff behind the bar and lots of time is lost making cocktails. I was in three times over Christmas and New Year and the lighting kept rising, causing intermittent blackouts.

Party of 16 in the middle of the Xmas rush. Despite being absolutely packed the service from the bar tenders was perfect. The staff made regular rounds of the floor to take orders and delivered them impeccably. Very impressive given that it was packed. Stylish and chic! Much recommended.

Went to Rita’s recently with friends visiting from home and had a great afternoon drinking cocktails. Really good decor and atmosphere we had quite a few drinks, the barman knew how to make all the off menu cocktails we asked for, however obscure and when we let them make make us what they fancied also threw us a few crackers, the lad Jamie working was looked after us a treat an really enjoyed the afternoon drinks after a nice lunch, real quality cocktail bar in all aspects.

Rita's is super cosy for the colder nights with friends or for couples. They have a large selection of cocktails to choose from.

Live locally but hadn’t been in for years and decided to call in on Friday as I had some friends over from London. Received excellent service and cocktails were excellent from Jamie and Conor. Both friends had a good time and I’ll definitely be back more often now myself

Have not been in Rita’s for a while but it is as good as ever. Few drinks in the early part of last Saturday evening before dinner. Place was packed but we got a seat eventually. Very talented guitar duo playing a varied selection of songs. One of my favourite bars in Belfast. Polite service at the bar every time I have visited. Highly recommend a visit.

I had no idea this place existed until a friend suggested here. We were only having one drink before going on to a restaurant but what a nice surprise. Great vibe, music and decor with very comfy seats, providing you get one of course. It seems to focus more on speciality cocktails and we didn't have time to browse their menu. The only downside was with cocktail making taking so long, it took a very long time to be served with just three glasses of wine

Great venue. Tasteful music. Incredible staff. Best cocktails I've ever had. Connor, Andrew and Cohl were gracious, personable and expert in their craft. This place is highly addictive!!! Treat yourself and make this experience a priority. These gentlemen will make sure you're satisfied.

First of all want to say Thank You to Rebecca manning the lift, she recommend the Franklin 75 cocktail. We enjoyed that. We also enjoyed the music some blasts from the past would definitely recommend the perch and the cocktails.

Visisted here on sunday for the cocktail happy hour, staff was prompt & excellent as were the cocktails would def return AND recommend!

Went here with my husband for a cocktail before dinner and Connor did such a great job with the cocktails we ended up having 3! Lovely atmosphere with the comfy couches and big chairs, the low lighting and the open fire - excellent we will beback.

By far the best cocktails in Belfast👍Rita’s Staff are friendly and well trained. The live acoustic set was easy on the ear and a nice change from some of the hipster jazzy trash usually played in cocktail bars 😊

First visit to Rita’s having heard lots about it. A great spot in the centre of Belfast. Comfy seating, low lighting, plenty of drinks choices and friendly staff. Belfast was very busy and this place wasn’t overly packed which was a great end to our night as we could just enjoy a gin and a conversation. Will definitely go back!

The cocktails here are not amongst the cheapest in Belfast but they are amongst the best ones. The atmosphere is (generally) low-lit, quiet, intimate and comfy, with a well appointed bar. The staff are pleasant. Only gripe (in my opinion) is when they do amplified live music which totally ruins the dark intimate, cocktail vibe, and just turns it into a pub environment. If you think the live music creates a draw for your clientele, then something unamplified and more lounge or jazzy, would be an improvement. It became difficult to talk across the table, without having to shout, which is not relaxing . Even a CD of Sinatra or some generic ''background'' music would be better. The place has an oriental vibe, so this would be ideal! Other than this, it's a good place.

This little cocktail bar took us competent by surprise! It is so nice inside, a kind of shabby-sheeque. The bar staff were really friendly and the cocktails were brilliant, plus there is a huge choice! Happy hour is well worth it too.

Great welcome...... super friendly bar Staff, even made me a Piña Colada cocktail despite such not being listed upon the cocktail menu; really industrial & eclectic decor with a kitschy twist; wide mix of ages, genders & group-combo’s which made for a relaxed, informal vibe at the start of the bank holiday weekend.....seemed to be a lot of straight-from-work-types, along with ladies who lunch, whom have stayed all afternoon in to the early evening & then early evening starters having pre dinner drinks & a few date-night situations!!

Of all the bars I've visited Rita's have gotten everything right, amazing drinks range, brilliant and elclectic music! A chilled out ambience oozes from this place! Get a seat and you won't want to leave for the crowded, noisy offerings elsewhere!

Yo y unos amigos fuimos un par de cócteles, después de una comida de cumpleaños. El lugar estaba bastante vacío, pero era agradable tener el espacio y conseguir un asiento. En general, la decoración es un sueño para todas las oportunidades instagrammers foto sin embargo eso es realmente. A pesar de un fuego encendidas hacía mucho frío dentro, nos sentamos con nuestros abrigos. También £9 para cócteles es inaceptable para las mediciones minúsculo. Este es el problema con muchos bares de cócteles últimamente ellos piensan que pueden tener precios exorbitantes y escapar con él, pero al menos las mercancías a volver. Una ronda de 40 libras para 4 personas. Sinceramente no volveremos, sentado en el frío y beber cócteles mediocre no era lo que yo quería terminar mi cumpleaños

Los martes por la noche, mi amigo, mi novia y yo estuvimos para cenar en un restaurante a la vuelta de la esquina, y nos recomendaron un bar de cócteles por uno de los miembros del personal, y cuando llegamos era incluso mejor que ellos describen. Es como algo que ver en Londres, estamos de Liverpool nosotros así que aventurarse demasiado Londres a bares de cócteles y este es tan bueno como cualquiera de ellos! Servicio de la dos camareros y las bebidas eran excepcionales, para ser justos con ellos no muy concurrido, alrededor de las 10:00h pero que aún así nos nuestras bebidas a nuestra mesa y no tuvimos mucho tiempo de espera! Sin duda, volveremos la próxima vez que están en Belfast.

Primera noche en Belfast en 5 años y no nos decepcionó. Nunca había estado en Rita antes, pero realmente disfrutamos de la experiencia. El personal era muy informativo y agradable que no es muy común en los bares ahora, y es fácil ver que disfrutar de su artesanía. La música también era fabuloso. También es agradable ver un bar con mesas limpias y moqueta en el suelo! Sigan con el buen trabajo chicos!

We stumbled across Rita's after visiting the Perch cocktail bar on the roof and went back every day after that. A beautiful, high-ceilinged atmospheric speakeasy-style bar, adorned with heavy drapes, low lighting and eclectic art. The classic tunes were played at the perfect level to add to the atmosphere while not interfering with conversation. We loved the cocktails and the pizza was great too. Rita's biggest asset must be the staff though - exceptional, friendly service throughout. Thanks to the whole team for making all of our visits so memorable. We'll be straight back on our next visit to Belfast.

We had drinks for a collegue's leaving do. Busy when we arrived, but manegd to get a seat easily enough as it seems to be a get a drink and more on type of place. Drinks excellent quality and barman happy to go to the ajoining club for things they didn't have. Very pleasant, chilled experience; music enough to create atmosphere and allow us all to catch up.

A few friends and I went to Rita's after getting caught in the rain upstairs at the Perch rooftop bar. The whole atmosphere in Rita's is unique from other places in Belfast and made it a great place for some after-work drinks. The 1920s vibe, low light, smell of incense, the good quality (and not too pricey) food and the great ladies bathrooms (complete with a shelf of free dry shampoo, tampons, other hair products, deodorant, etc) makes it a good option for a night out in Belfast. It's another welcome addition to Belfast's emerging Linen Quarter.

Cocktails always on point. they're very happy to make up something bespoke for you if you request so. James always really helpful and welcoming!

About 60 of us descended upon Rita's to celebrate my little sisters 40th birthday

It's been a while since I've been here and I think I shall be back sooner rather than later. It's got a real chilled out feel. We had a section cordoned off much to the chagrin of the other guests!!
Whilst we mingled we were served some delicious snacks comprising of halloumi burger, prawn and chorizo skewers, crab on toast, duck spring rolls and tomato mozzarella and basil on bread. This went down a treat and certainly sparked a debate as to which one was the nicest!!
Rita's is a super place for a private party or just for cocktails or gin!! My sister and all of us certainly had a blast!!

Had a great evening on Friday night at Rita's. Hubby & I got a seat at the bar and found all the staff to be totally fantastic, especially Matt a very friendly and professional guy. Great atmosphere and highly trained bar staff! Loved it.

The rudest staff I have ever met. This is the worst experience I ever had. If you are a visitor to the city this is not northern irish hospitality avoid at all cost.

This bar was recommended to us by a near by restaurant - I am very pleased it was! I don't think we would have found it if we didn't know if was there. The staff were all very friendly and there was a great atmosphere in there. It was grad week so quite busy but this didnt stop excellent service by the bar staff. Well worth popping in here for a drink!

First cocktail was excellent, from there it was all downhill. The second cocktail tasted nothing like the first even though it was supposed to be the same. We were also ejected from our reserved seats being forced to stand around empty tables like much of the clientele. Just don't think people should be allowed to reserve tables in a bar. We were made to feel like second class citizens. Won't be back.

Our first visit and certainly our last. Tables were reserved for people who never turned up as far as we could see. We were put out of our seats and stood looking at empty seats. Staff were rude and distant. One glass we were given with a drink had lipstick on the inside from a previous user so obviously not washed. The toilets were nothing short of filthy and disgusting couldn't even use them. No idea why this place is apparently `popular ``we will not be recommending to anyone in fact so many other nicer places to choose from

Here last weekend with my husband for after dinner drinks. Instantly loved it as it is dark inside with only directional lighting and candles except for the bar area. A mixture of glam and homely with a shiny decadent bar offset by sofas, old fashioned carpet and even a tiled fireplace. Could easily be romantic, gossipy with the girls or simply cosy. Very clean and staff friendly.Great selection of craft beers, gins and a large selection of cocktails - perfect spot for a great night out.
