Riennas in Havering

I had a filet and lobster, my wife had a filet. Everything was cooked to perfection, the products quality excellent, compliments to the kitchen staff!! Cheesecake and plate of cheese for dessert, and again, it couldn’t have been better. The 2 young ladies waiting on us were lovely and professional. Will definitely visit again!

Thank you to the staff in Riennas for a lovely birthday meal. The staff are knowledgable and friendly, we had great service. The food is delicious, beautifully cooked and presented with very generous sized portions.( my husband is a chef and has ran his own restaurants and he was very impressed too). The restaurant was busy for a mid week evening and had a lovely atmosphere and buzz. Highly recommend.

Have eaten here before and the food was reasonable and seemed like a nice family run restaurant. Decided to look into them for Mother's Day and the prices are practically daylight robbery, its £45 pp on a set menu! That's so steep for the area. Especially when you add up the cost of the items from their normal menu. Ribs, Sea bass and a brownie come to £27, so we are talking about a 66% increase just cos its Mothers day! I get its a popular day but enforcing a set menu for the day makes it easier on the kitchen.. Wont be going back for this reason.

This restaurant is amazing. Our server Irene was attentive and so polite. The food was outstanding, and the portions ample. Highly recommended and will definitely be returning.

We dine here a few times a year and have done for about 7 years, it never disappoints, food is spot on, and the friendly family that own and run it are lovely. We decided to go on Xmas day this year, we had never dined out Xmas day before as pretty fussy ! I can say now, it did not disappoint! It was amazing ! We were so pleased we went , and will be booking for next year too. Cannot beat Riennas for great food and atmosphere

A favourite of mine for dinner, the food is amazing! A good selection of steak, European and British cuisine. The service does slightly slack depending on when you attend, sometimes it is great, other times not as good sadly.

We came here recently for the 2nd time and it was just as good as the 1st. Lovely food, lovely cocktails and the staff are very attentive. Will definitely be returning as well as recommending to friends

I come to Rienna’s restaurant nearly every month and will keep returning as it’s one of my favourite restaurants in Essex. The food is delicious, I have tried nearly all of the menu and the food is always fantastic and cooked beautiful. The lobster in Thermidor is cooked to perfection, and everything on the menu is so reasonably priced. The staff are so attentive, lovely and so welcoming. It’s such a great and classy atmosphere, if you love fish especially I could not recommend this restaurant enough!

What disgraceful attitude and service. Never again will I visit this restaurant. I had a table for four at 9pm and on arrival was told they only have a table outside: what on earth is that? High winds and a chilly evening there’s no way this is acceptable!! Been coming here for years but like most good things they come to an end. I hope your business suffers seriously as a result. You are a disgrace; feck you!!

Booked a table for our Anniversary, told them that we will try to arrive at the booked time of 7pm but it may be slightly later as we are out all day and traffic may be not be kind (originally requested a later table but there were none available) Anne said this is fine. Decided to call when we were on our way to say will be there between 7.05/7.10 to be told that they had called me all day and didn’t hear so gave our table away. I had one missed call from an unknown number at 2.10pm, no further calls, no voicemail, no text and no email. We were really looking forward to the meal, emailed Anne to say that we’re just in shock that this is considered acceptable, said we were happy to have paid a deposit if she was that worried that we wouldn’t turn up, she hasn’t even had the decency to reply. Avoid!

Nice food spoilt by large group of VERY noisy drunk youths. We couldn't hear one another talk. Wine was very nice and staff were charming but for a girlie catch up noise totally spoilt my evening.

This was our 3rd visit in 2 months (and we drive 30-40mins to get here). We absolutely love this place! They serve one of my favourite dishes, lobster in garlic butter. Note that it is always best to pre-order the lobster in advance as I am not the only one who enjoys! We have tried various starters and other mains from the very varied menu. They have all been cooked to perfection. My husband used to be a chef and is extremely fussy when it comes to eating out. Rienna's is a total gem and a must visit for any occasion. Looking forward to our next visit.

We arrived on a wet and gloomy Friday evening. Our table was booked for 6.30pm. As we walked through the door we were greeted by a lovely lady who took our wet coats and showed us to our table. Pre dinner drinks order was taken quickly - which we love! Specials all explained by a very funny waitress. Great start to the evening for us. We both had the Fish Pot starter which was amazing. I then had the Skate and my husband had the Halibut, both were amazing. Veg was cooked to perfection for us. Even the bread, oil and balsamic were beautiful. Had a lovely bottle of Malbec wine which was so smooth. All in all a perfect early evening meal for us in a friendly relaxed restaurant. We shall be back again - so lucky to have this in Hornchurch! Great chef and great service!

Recently had dinner here with my wife. We both had fillet steak which was cooked as requested and quite enjoyable .Wine was quite good and not too expensive.The staff were friendly enough but I found their COVID precautions rather arbitrary.My wife insists there was hand sanitiser at the entrance but I didn’t see it and we definitely were not directed to use it.None of the staff that I saw were wearing any form of face covering, though our waitress did ask us if we wanted her to put one on.Wouldn’t the damage have been done by then?We were presented with a contact form but told that we didn’t have to complete it if we didn’t want to.I felt rather sorry for the staff ,as I guess they encounter customers who complain about the current restrictions and were,perhaps understandably, trying to avoid confrontation.I think the management here need to up their game somewhat rather than leave the wait staff in a difficult situation.

Myself and my partner have been going to this restaurant for around 3/4 years. We love everything about it. The menu is delicious and the staff are simply amazing and helpful they really do make your experience.It was the first restaurant we visited after the restaurants opened after lockdown and we were not disappointed, they really socially distanced the restaurant and made us feel so comfortable.We have already booked our next visit here and can't wait to return!

We have just returned from vacation in Greece and was craving a Roast dinner , we ordered a takeaway for collection with Anna the manageress on leaving the airport, not only was the Roast of the highest quality But I ordered a cheeky long island ice tee cocktail which was also fabulous especially after poor weak cocktails sampled in Santorini. The girls work so hard, we are so lucky to have this little gem in our town.

I ordered a take away last night,from Rienna's as a treat. I ordered the skate with saute potatoes and at £17.95 I was disappointed, the saute potatoes were burnt and more like crisps and the stake was on the small side. Its certainly wasn't value for money.Its such shame as i have dined here many times with my family and friends and have always had a lovey meal and thought the portions generous.

We ordered a lovely takeaway meal during the pandemic as we had missed visiting our favourite restaurant and we weren't disappointed - the food was delicious as always and was delivered on time by the usual friendly waitress. Second time we have been and I have to honestly say one of the best restaurants out there. It’s a gem! Very rarely come out of a restaurant this impressed. Everything is home made and cooked to perfection.The chef and staff are brilliant! Can’t wait to go back!

I called to book this restaurant on the 12th February for 6 people to attend on the 21st February. Made the booking and had heard good things about the restaurant.Last night upon our arrival my wife and i were informed by the manageress that she had no idea about the booking and that the restaurant was booked out. After some tooing and frowing we were offered a drink on the house but our party of six would have to share a table for four. Being a friday night and with very few options open to us we agreed and sat down.It felt a little like being a school kid sitting in the farthest corner of the restaurant and squeezed into a tiny space but we accepted that there had been a breakdown of communication between the person who booked us in and the manageress.The food was very good and we all enjoyed our meal.I would point out that at no time did anyone come into the restaurant to claim the table we had been sat at and i feel now that it was a ruse perpetrated by the manageress to get us to share a table for four between six people.The evening went well freinds of 50 years enjoying a rare night out together.The bill was presented and we put the relevant amount together and duly paid for our night.After a few minutes the manageress came over in order to inform us that the payment was 5 pence short.I could not believe my ears we had just parted with £360.00 for the priveledge of sitting squashed together at a table for four after making our booking 9 days ago and here she was making an issue of 5 pence.After some discussion it transpired that she thought we hadnt tipped and i can only assume her intention was to embarrass us into to tipping.Had she counted the money properly she would have known that we did indeed tip as my wife ponited out to her and counted out the money in front of her.When did it become ok for restaurant staff to think it,s ok to embarrass their customers in such a way.We would have been well within our rights to not leave a tip after the restaurant failing to make our booking and sitting 6 of us at a table for four people.I am appalled at the behaviour of the manageress in this restaurant.

Visited Riennas whilst staying with family in the area. Chic interior with friendly but efficient service. Nice touches like waitresses describing the specials and holding the door open when we left.The steaks were delicious and sauces enhanced the flavour -homemade cheesecake was excellent. All the food was nicely presented and there was a good wine list to compliment the dishes.Highly recommend Riennas and will return.

With 9 people to satisfy, we usually struggle with everyone being satisfied but the whole family from 17 to 70 had a great experience. Food was plentiful and tasty and service good in a comfortable setting - a lovely celebration meal all round!

Yesterday booked a table - then they called later on to say or booking had been canceled - second booking attempt today with our family - they took our drinks order without informing us first there was no lobster on the menu - So we left the restaurant hungry and the Rude waitress also insisted we pay for the drinks too - what a complete joke !

3rd visit to this wonderful local restaurant. This cozy restaurant has a great menu. You need to book at the weekend. It was very busy when we went just before Christmas. The Chateaubriand is one of their standout dishes but honestly I have taken family and friends and none of us has been disappointed. I think it is currently the best restaurant in Hornchurch.

Booked in October for 3 people ,we are regular customers ,confirmed booking in December when we there with 5 friends.Only to arrive and be told we had no booking ,and was offered nothing .At 8.30 we now had to find somewhere that could accommodate us.Went to the Welcome Inn in Hornchurch,I can't thank them enough for finding us a table although they were fully booked .Will definitely not return to Rienna 's .They ruined our New Years Eve with out any type of compensation,just a sorry .

We were at this restaurant on 19th December 2019 to celebrate my daughters 50th birthday and had a fantastic meal,the service was very efficient and friendly.Excellent value. I would thoughly recommend for both a celebration or just dining out.

Beautiful, cosy top restaurant for this area, Rienna's does not disappoint. The service is fabulous, warm and welcoming. Everything we had was delicious and incredibly well cooked. The lamb and the beef roast were flawless. The bowl of french fries were real fried potatoes, not soaked in oil. The King Prawns were exquisite with an amazing butter garlic sauce. I could guarantee that the whole menu is flawless. Certainly the best restaurant in Essex and we come from central London.... Well done Rienna's .... keep it going and many thanks! (It is not a seadfood restaurant but it has seafood and fish)

We booked a table here for a last minute Sunday roast and to be honest, wasn't expecting much. Surprise, surprise, food was excellent & service was very friendly.

We went here for my dad’s birthday. After a little mix up with our booking, we were sorted and really looked after. The manager could not apologise enough for the mix up. The service was great, the staff very helpful and knew their stuff with regards questions on the menu. The portions are very big and the food is tasty and amazing. We really were looked after, not rushed and had a lovely meal. This restaurant is small, but the staff really do go out of their way to look after you.

Absolute joke it was my birthday and I booked my table for 3:15 turned up at 3:17 because of traffic and they gave my table away then offered me to wait for half hour for a table to become free rushing another table to eat there food when they had a table made for 4 people spare the attitude of the staff was disgraceful and I work in a restaurant my self and the standard time to hold a table for is 10 minutes and then a phone call to see if still coming but nothing like that from these

Went here on a recommendation from a relative. We were not disappointed and would pass that recommendation on. From the friendly service to the quality of the food we could not be happier. The scallop starter had three huge scallops and were very tasty. The steak mains were cooked exactly to our preferences. Be aware though that the side dish portions were more that enough for two sharing and we were thus defeated although we gave it a good go. We will definately return.

Enjoyed a lovely family gathering at this restaurant to celebrate our mum/Nan and great nans 97th birthday. The service was very good and the meals especially the roast dinners were lovely.

It is rare to find a truly exceptional restaurant without heading more directly into the city of London, however Rienna's has raised the bar on what can be expected of a town such as Hornchurch. The food was honestly second to none. Firstly there was a delightful starter containing all kinds of shellfish and squid which covered all of what I could personally hope to order before my main. The amount of muscles and prawns were plentiful and they were smothered in a delicious broth. To follow was truly one of the most amazing steaks I've had in my life. Although cooked slightly rarer than I would have liked this actually was a positive attribute as the meat was so tender and juicy that I may have to order rarer cuts of meat in the future. The mushroom sauce was also incredible. Showered in full and vibrant flavours it was a perfect accompaniment to the meat, along with the perfectly cooked and seasoned potatoes. There was no room for dessert, and everyone involved in the meal was sufficiently satisfied with the food and the delightful staff, a perfect birthday meal which definitely warrants a re visit.

Our first visit was last month went again last night. Just as superb as before. Waiting staff extremely professional and friendly. Tiger prawns in Piri Piri sauce and calamari for starter followed by fillet steaks. Steak is not the easiest meat to cook to everyone’s preference but Jimmy gets it right every time. Jimmy and his team are extremely competent chefs. Wine list is very good and fairly priced. Thank you for another great evening, deciding out when our next visit will be.

We've had one of our best meals yesterday at Riennas. The mussels and tiger prawns for starters and the steak and sea bass for mains couldn't have been prepared any better. All of the food was just mind-blowingly amazing. The waitresses were professional and knowledgeable which made the experience even more special. We also enjoyed the music which were mostly great love songs. All in all, a wonderful place, highly recommended.

My husband had the lamb roast as it was sunday lunchtime and he enjoyed this, and the sticky toffee pudding with ice cream for dessert- all good.
