Worst chinese curry I've ever seen 😑 Never before have I seen a curry sauce this colour. Practically white. I know it was a vegetable dish but don't class chinese lettuce and couple of mange tout as vegetables.

Ordered a fish butty was tasteless and soggy.

I have had fish and chips from here plenty of times. But recently the food has gone downhill. The fish certainly isnt fresh but is a good portion size. Scones the same . What ever butter or margarine they use in there t.cakes they need to think about changing it. As it was inedible.

As a local I can confidently say that this place is absolutely spot on and not just for fish & chips but for oriental cuisine also that is prepared for order after 5/6pm

Absolutely Fantastic!! Some of the best fish and chips we have had in a long time, good portions, well cooked and all the extras you need. All staff had masks on and sanitized their hands and surfaces were wiped down. Blessed to have two fantastic 'chip shops' within a mile. Two years on still fantastic!

Riddlesden Fisheries is the best fish and chip shop in my opinion the food is always well cooked and always tastes good. The people who own it now give great service I couldn't think of a better fish and chip shop near me.

Great prices but most importantly great paper wrapping skills! It survived 5km of running while holding with just paper, no box, and not one chip fell out. Still warm aswell

Best local chippy. I'm very fussy with my fish and chips but I couldn't fault these. Perfectly browned chips- hate them pale, crispy batter, meaty fish, good curry sauce👌🏻 Perfect portion size and good value compared to the large one.

Excellent haddock and chips. Good size fish, with an ample portion of chips. The Chinese food is also excellent, with generous portions. I can highly recommend the Chinese Special Curry. The crispy beef would have been great if they had a restaurant, but it does not survive well when taken home in a packet. The staff are very friendly and helpful.

9/10 absolutely unreal. So much flavour in the salt and pepper chicken + chips was sensational. Plain noodles need a bit more work as they were a bit dry and the curry sauce didn’t taste much like chinese curry sauce. Excellent price for amazing quality definitely recommend if you want a decent chinese.

Decent Chippy this one. Fish fresh and cooked to order. Nice mushy peas and curry sauce to boot. Recommended

Best Fish and Chips I've had for a while

Inexpensive little fish and chip shop/Chinese takeaway. Run by a lovely couple. We only get fish chips, sausage and chips e.c.t so don't know what the Chinese food tastes like. I'm sure it will be on point like everything else here.

This place is run by a lovely couple, we mainly eat fish n chips from here on fish n chip Thursdays. Very reasonable prices but they also do a wide range of Chinese food.

Best fish and chips shop and Chinese around here. Food is very fresh and tasty and amazing value for money! Staff are friendly too. Just wish they’d take card payments as hardly ever carry cash on me.

Best Chinese food around as well as great fish n chips

This location does Fish and Chips and also Chinese Food. The Fish and Chips are good and £1 cheaper than the place just further down the road. Nice enough and no complaints but down the hill a touch better. A big HOWEVER, The Chinese food at Riddlesden Fisheries is awesome and half the price of local competition. I have used it twice recently and it was outstanding in quality and value on both occasions. I have phoned and been able to collect 10 minutes later twice.

I love this place. They cook to order which means nice and fresh. The lady on the counter is nice and polite.

so lovely. first of all, fish and chips with Chinese food is lovely. the chunky chips are the best thing ever. absolutely love it here. always get food from here with my family and probably will today too! lovely business and owners. so much serotonin from that little shop. Everyone should try the sweet and sour chicken/ Cantonese.

Got told about this place from a friend and so glad we did as its amazing we originally went in for fish and chips the first few times then put in a £40+ order mixing the Chinese and chippy on one order with a few things altered and they managed it perfectly no issues all there exactly as ordered and best of all the customer service each time is the best we've ever had always nice, freindly and helpful.

15 mins before closing time on Friday lunch. Fish & Chips (x3) freshly fried plus some curry sauce and mushy peas. Fantastic portions of fish & chips. Good curry sauce and mushy peas and not expensive. Best in the area.

I wouldn't advise going in when it opens at at tea time , I got dinner time chips . 20 mins after opening they were stodgy and Luke warm and there was also 4 fish in the warmer this was 4:50 Saturday .

Excellent chinese food with generous portions. Spare to ribs moist and meaty. Yung chow rice tasty with ample meats. My only complaint is they don't deliver.

My order was cooked freshly. The fish was extremely moist and tasty; the chips were out of this world and the mushy peas were amazing. A once in a while treat which I will look forward to again soon.

Finally you can get Chinese food in the day time with out travelling to a city.. This family run fisherie is very friendly and will make you what you want if you are willing to wait or call your order in first. The food was excellent The portion size was larger than any Chinese I have had locally. You must try them.

Fish butty was very nice , washed down with Dandelion and burdock . Apparently it also sells Chinese food .

Several weeks ago this changed hands being run by a Chinese couple. They managed to maintain the excellence of the Fish 'n' Chips (which in my opinion are the best locally) and then introduced Chinese food to the menu and changed the opening hours. The change in menu hasn't changed the standard of the Fish 'n' Chips AND the Chinese food is also excellent too . Five Star review! PS - It's not a restaurant!

The actual food was fine but the cafe left a lot to be desired. Staff were friendly enough and portions were generous but tea and coffee was box standard out of a machine.

Gave bought f and c from here on numerous occasions and have never been disappointed unti this visit. We had a strong suspicion that the fish had been recooked as it was over done and v dry. Although a cheaper price than some we will be reluctant to visit again.

I have driven passed this chippy several times and decided to stop in and get some, they were doing a deal 4.00 for fish and chips, which is a reasonable price. There was no one else in so I got served quickly, although the fish and chips were ready they were still fresh and hot. The food was nice but the fish were smaller than other fish and chip shops, that is why they can charge cheaper prices. That said I still enjoyed the food and would go back again.

Un "fish and chips" local como este se encuentra o no en su coherencia, y no se puede superar Riddlesden para consistencia. Parece como si se hubieran allí para siempre, y sirve comida insuperables para siempre. He estado yendo por 30 años o más y nunca me ha decepcionado.

After a long wait, and terrible service I received very expensive, small portions. The taste was lacking in fact the last time I had something that greasy and fishy. I had caught an STD. Don't waste you time.

We were out walking yesterday and called by Riddlesden Fisheries for a bag of chips with scraps. They were fantastic. The chips were lovely and tasty and brown and crisp. I used to live in Riddlesden many years ago and this was my local chippie and it hasn't changed one bit. The man frying and the lady serving were very friendly and chatty. When I'm in the area again I'll make it in my way to call again. Many thanks.

I always get great food here, but always find the service a little lacking or even abrupt. Would be a very nice experience if just for one, I felt appreciated as a customer.

We visited this take away after an absence of about 8 years and was delighted that it still offered value for money very tasty fish and chips.

My local Fish and Chip shop, has been owned by the same people for many years. It's always clean, generally busy (always a good sign!) and always a friendly reception. Oh yes, and the food is good too! Usually a short wait as the food is always fresh out of the friers.

Not many words to describe this chippy because it's not better or worse than the average. As my local chippy I'd really like to give it a much higher rating.

After waiting for ages I eventually got to place my order. Good point: The food Is very fresh and great quality - but afterwards I was still hungry.Poor point: To be honest, I've had much better value and bigger portions from most other places. Don't get me wrong - I'm not being negative about this fishery - It just seems the portions here are smaller than most other fisheries.

Been there for many years and the food is always good there is often a queue which is a good sign. Handy for East Riddlesden Hall and much better value than the café there if you don't mind eating out of doors.

Although I have been a few times to buy fish and chips, it seems that they are hardly ever ready just to buy over the counter. We always seem to have to wait a while for either your fish or your chips even though the shop is at its busiest times.Also, I found the chips to be rather soggy at times - perhaps it the rush.

One of the most soggy greasy portions of fish and chips I've had.
