Had a fantastic 50th birthday party here Saturday night! It was the perfect venue for a fairly intimate themed family and friends gathering to enjoy. The decor was beautifully lit and nothing was too much trouble to help in the organising of the whole thing! From setting up the projector screen and photos... to the singer who was brilliant.. but the food... omg it was stunning! Surpassed my expectations and everyone thoroughly enjoyed. Top class and beautifully presented on slate too! Thanks to everyone who worked hard and helped on the night! 🙏🏼🥳 xx

Well, we’ve never done this before, but needs must this week so we decided to give the Reybah a visit to pick up x 3 Sunday lunches, 2 beef & 1 chicken. I shall certainly be doing it again. The meals were beautiful. The beef melted in your mouth & the gravy was delicious as were the Yorkshire’s. Can’t thank them enough for saving the day. Only prob, I forgot to take a pic! Generous portions too.

This little gem is a successful attempt of refining and elevating some of the classics of the pub cuisine. Great burger and cod but if you wanna delight yourself go for the Spanish inspired meat skewer with roasted potatoes and the desserts: you won't be disappointed! If you have a little bit of time left after the meal you can also top up your tan in the Tanning Studio next door! What are you waiting for? Jump in the car and go to Reybah!

We went on a Sunday and I have to comment on how good the Sunday roast was it was amazing , meat (beef for me pork for the wife ) was tender and melt in your mouth , roast potato were crunchy yet fluffy veg soft with just the right amount of bite and the gravy ........I could have drank the gravy boat but resisted as in public. A beauty of a Sunday lunch spot not everyone’s has got on to yet because when they do your going to have to book 2 weeks in advance for the pleasure .

Been coming to Reybah for a few years now whether it be just for a few drinks on a Friday night with some great live music or food in the week or a Sunday lunch, Reybah always fits the bill and delivers. Main things to really comment on* Great pint of Peroni. As a fussy git when it comes to a good pint, can safely say it's the best pint of Peroni locally. * The live music every weekend ALWAYS delivers. Top quality free entertainment is hard to come by but not with Reybahs ability to bring in five star singers every week. Most notable being Tom Sutch who is a regular there and a real find. * The atmosphere is just great. The lighting on the ceiling, decor, everything. Top notch and can't wait for the Xmas ski cabin to make appearance soon. * Best (stone baked) pizzas I have had had since visiting Italy. Genuinely I have been to many Italians in Bridgend and Cardiff but the pizzas at Reybah are the best and up there with ones in Italy. * The staff are brilliant. Always helpful, polite and happy to accommodate in anyway possible. * Great selection of tasty wines from all parts of the world. Just a few comments, not as out downs but observations as always good to get constructive criticism. * The home made burgers 6 months ago were incredible. The best around. They are still nice but where they seem to have gained in size, they seem to have lacked in flavour and seasoning. I have a big mouth and so do my mates but even we struggled to get out gobs around the whole thing. Any no one wants to eat a burger with a knife and folk do they. Being back the old burgers! * Always try to eat downstairs when we can but obviously that's not always possible especially on a Friday / Sat night and that's fine. Just noticed past few times that we have had to go downstairs to order drinks/food as the 1 waiter/waitress has been rushed off their feet downstairs. Must be hard to know how busy you will be but one more working on each shift would certainly help as waiting 20 minutes to get asked if we wanted drinks was a bit long. But this is certainly a one off and not the norm so an observation rather than complaint. * Noticed the Garlic mushrooms starter has gone to a smaller portion. They are possibly the best thing you do, don't make it smaller. I happily run the risk of people hating me in work on a Monday stinking of Garlic just to have them. Being back the standard size portions. * Is it possible to buy bigger treys of veg or bring one more out along with the Sunday roast? Yes, you can ask for more no problem and that's fine, but would be great to not have to ask and being the waitress / waiter back over half way through the meal. Also think adding one more item to the Sunday lunch would really blow people away. Folly flower cheese or something as a little added suprise from the standard peas carrots cabbage and spuds. LOVE the meat and Yorkshires I must add! Great Sunday lunch, jury could be even better. All in all, love the place and never fails to hit the spot for fun night out or for food

We visited Reybah last night for the first time. After having read the reviews I decided it might be worth giving it a try as most places will get some negative reviews. What a mistake! Firstly the welcome from the bar staff was non existent. After paying hefty prices for two drinks we were finally seated upstairs. It took and hour and 20 minutes to receive inadequate food. It was basically a bowl of salad and burnt potatoes with a bit of dry meat on a skewer. I would have complained at this point but at no point did staff ask if everything was ok which is what usually happens in restaurants! I did make a complaint when I paid but the attitude was one of "I couldn't care less". All in all is was an extremely disappointing experience from start to finish, needless to say that I won't be returning!

We were en route back home, (having forgotten our favourite Sunday Haunt was fully booked for a funcion today) debating where to go for lunch and as we passed Broadlands I had the brainwave of trying this place which we have often heard good reports about. We have been in there previously in the evenings but its generally been for a drink and we've been on a bar crawl so while the atmosphere is always nice, we've never eaten there before, and frankly have been too drunk to review it! I have to say, I'm really glad we decided to come and try it, because we will be back more often!Firstly, I was very surprised by the price, as I have always heard this place was expensive - at a mere £10.95 for 2 courses (and just one course for £7.95), it easily competes with the chain pubs for price on Sunday lunch. However that is where any comparison with the chain pubs truly ends. The service is exceptional, with polite staff, table service and a truly comprehensive wine and cocktails list. The wines are more expensive than the cheaper chain pubs, but the choice is massive and they are all good quality wines, none of the cheap and cheerful Blossom Hill in sight, this is exactly the wine and service you'd expect to see in a Brasserie, and certainly not accompanied by food at such a low price. The decor is pleasant and warm and everything about this place oozes character and quality. For starter I had the garlic and cream mushrooms, and my partner had the Pate, simple 'Sunday Lunch' classics but executed to perfection, served with toast and drizzled with balsamic reduction. Whilst it may be a simple dish, Garlic & Cream Mushrooms are often not done well with that acridness of overcooked garlic, so I'm always apprehensive about ordering it but of course I wasn't disappointed here, the mushrooms were cooked beautifully, the garlic had been added at just the right time and the combination of flavours worked brilliantly. Presentation was great too!For mains, I had roast topside of beef and my husband ordered old spot pork with crackling. Once again, presentation was classy and the food was delicious. The portions were generous and the side dishes of fresh vegetables were cooked perfectly, with just a hint of crispness. The waiting staff were friendly, courteous and attentive, 100% professional and I have to say when the couple who walked in after us with a young boy, they were so welcoming to the little one, if I had children I'd be taking them there every Sunday!Overall, I'd rate this as outstanding dining, far better than most of the places in Bridgend and if you are looking to try somewhere new for a 'fine dining' style Sunday lunch, you'd be mad to not give this place a try!

Visited with a party of 12 on 17/10/14. We were seated upstairs where I have to say the decor leaves a lot to be desired. The sloping roof is lined with what I'd describe as cheap wicker fencing panels (not sure what's underneath!) Also there is some rather "loud" floral wallpaper. I think the proprietor needs to address this as it takes away from the atmosphere of the bar/restaurant. Downstairs is fine, with cosy tables. When we visited it was a wet but unseasonably mild evening. Obviously heat rises and upstairs quickly became like a sauna. When we asked the waiter if they could open the windows in the sloping roof we were told "no" because it would let the rain in ! Therefore we had to suffer. We didn't have starters and went straight to main course, which I cannot fault. Food was very good and great value. A* for that.Dessert was a different matter. A selection of 2 desserts (cheesecake and brownies). I appreciate it's important to keep a menu simple, but seriously, they need to up the game a bit here. Fruit salad or something lighter would also be a good addition. However, the waiter was happy to supply us with ice cream (they own the deli next door apparently). This, however, took an absolute age to be served. And then ... the live music. Oh dear!! Really, does the music have to be so loud that it makes your ears bleed and you cannot have a conversation. The venue is extremely small and the amp seemed to be up to maximum volume, which is great for the singer but not the audience, particularly if you were just out to relax and have a chat with good friends over dinner.I think the proprietor is trying to be all things to all people. Really, live music in a restaurant needs to be low key and at an appropriate volume. If he wants to be a live music venue with a screeching singer (not the best - sorry), then maybe only do bar snacks and not a full monty sit down restaurant service.Sadly, I won't be returning, which is a shame as the food was good.

Well tonight was my first visit to reybah and it will be my last! Service was very slow! Food was beyond bad! Don't know where to start.........we were a big table of 17 and I understand the wait will be longer due to the amount if people! We waited an age for our order to be taken and wen longer for our starters to arrive! When they finally came we were more than disappointed! The bread was very stale as if it had been sliced the previous day! The people who had soup had to ask for spoons so they could eat it!!! We were served by a member of staff who could not speak English so he would just put any dish under the nose of the person and we had to shout out what the dish was so the right person in out group could claim it! When the main meals came out again we were disappointed, at least 3 people had to send their meals back as they were not correct! My partner ordered the BBQ chicken breast burger! Well what came out was two pieces of frozen southern fried chicken with a under a tea spoon of BBQ sauce! If it said southern fried chicken on the menu he would never had ordered it! I had the chicken skewer with "grilled" pitta bread and salad! The pitta was straight out of the packet, hard and cold! When I tried to open them they just crumbled! Food was overpriced rubbish and had much better food in my local pub!

We were also pleasantly surprised by the price! Really good value for money. The staff were chatty and very helpful, and the overall environment is relaxed and well decorated. Their home made chips were my personal favourite thing of the whole experience!

Been here a few times now,the food is always delicious and more than worth the money, especially if you go when the offers are on (2-4-1 pizza/burger nights). The steak burgers are to die for and the desserts even more so. The staff are extremely friendly and welcoming, even when its jam packed on a saturday night. There are always bands on at the weekend and there's always a lovely atmosphere. You just have to eat here!

Went here with my wife to watch Daz Cortina, a local legend who sings some of the best music around. We have a great table with a good view of the singer, we had an awesome meal, the steaks were superb. The service was fantastic, could not fault it. Seymour made sure we had everything we needed. Our glasses were never empty. It was a top night we will definatley go again.

My wife suggested visiting this restaurant after receiving good feed back from work colleagues, we didn't know what to expect, but on arrival we were pleasantly surprised. We went mid week and there were only two other groups there I mention this because obviously the standard may drop on a busy Friday or Saturday night, the waiter / barman couldn't be faulted, he was attentive but not overly so, advised on dishes that were not available ( find it annoying when you look at a menu, choose the meal you want only to be told it's not available) Both main meals were well cooked and the only criticism/comment/recommendation I would make for the visit that I would like to see more vegetables on the menu as sides, we did order a side of onion rings and they were very good, both steaks were well presented and cooked as we requested, we both opted for chips and loved them (My wife had just come off a diet and REALLY enjoyed them!)We decided not to go for the desserts and opted for the coffees which were both very good, on reflection I wish I'd gone for the coffee liqueur, but that was my fault for not reading what was on offer before deciding what I wanted.Overall a very good first experience and we have both decided already what we want on our second visit, the menu is small compared to some restaurants but it is well thought out and I would say it would suit many people who would visit. One other thing I'd like to mention are the drinks, not as big a range as you will find at some restaurants but we both found a selection that suited our taste. We would definitely recommend this restaurant and look forward to visiting it again in the near future.

Tapas in Bridgend.....great I thought.......but it was let down by a couple of very basic things.Stale bread , yes stale bread! , we ordered the fresh baguette and olive oil/ balsamic vinegar combo to nibble whilst awaiting the main dishes...but the bread was dry & was terrible...and the balsamic was so nasty I wouldn't even put it on chips!!!! Yes aged Balsamic is expensive....but better not to serve any than to serve the nastiest , cheapest junk from the cash n carry! It is insulting to think that the chef believed that we wouldn't be able to appreciate a true Aceto Balsamico Tradizionale di Modena from the rubbish they served. On the plus side the calamari and whitebait were very good...but the patatas bravas was far too sweet....was the tomato sauce 'Dolmio' in disguise????Can't fault the service.....it was a Tuesday night and the guy serving was single handledly waiting on tables and manning the bar. No live music on as it's was a Tuesday but the place would be ok for a glass of wine when there's a live music act on.

After a long walk with the dog we fancied a proper Sunday Lunch. Decided to book Reybar and have no regrets what so ever. Mushrooms to start were outstanding and a lovely pint to wash it down. Had the lamb for main course and it was delicious and a good size portion. All the food was fresh and the staff were extremely friendly an efficient. Two courses for £10.95 is superb value for money and highly recommend it to everyone. Looking forward to booking an evening meal there soon with friends. Big thank you again for a superb Sunday lunch that would be very hard to beat.

Been here a few times with my partner over the past few months and always enjoyed the live music. We haven't eaten here so i can't comment on the food. Infact, we enjoyed it so much that we suggested a night out with friends should be spent here. Big mistake on an 6 nations rugby day! As soon as we walked in, the atmosphere was different, even though it wasn't particularly busy at that time. The singer, who is good, is there quite often and sings the same songs in the same order , even though she's good, it gets a bit boring to see for the second time in as many months. When my partner phoned to see if there was live music, he was told a different band were there. As the evening drew on and the bar got busier, I was feeling on edge. Then a huge fight broke out. The owner dealt with it well, but it really has put me off going back, which is a shame but I really thought this was a nice place out of town, for a "grown ups " evening. Is this place going downhill? Maybe they should be choosier with who they let in and who needs to go home?

Went here with a group of friends when there was a band on. Atmosphere was okay but it just seems a bit gimmicky. Also don't get to close to the bar when ordering because you get jabbed in the side by the ski's stuck across the bottom of it.

Visited here with some family members. We were initially there to see a band (The Boogiemen) but also ordered food. The service was excellent and I have to say the staff looked after us really well. The food was very good (I had mussels to start and the steak burger for main) but the portions were so generous I couldn't finish everything! Alchohol was reasonable with Marques de Carceres red £15 a bottle, roughly the price to buy it in Tesco so pleased with that. There was a great atmosphere, the band were brilliant and it was obviously full of locals who were enjoying themselves. Had a great time and would definitely come here again.

Am very confused by some scathing reviews here, I have been to Reybah quite a few times and every single time food was great, service was great and i enjoyed myself. Not many places serve Pironi on tap so they will continue to get my custom :)Iv sampled an amazing Green Thai Curry and had a few Sunday dinners and everytime was spot on, the owner always greats us and everyone else with a smile - Reybar is quite small and compact so getting served never takes long, i can honestly say everytime i have been everything was running smoothly and so just dont understand the negative comments. Everyone is entitled to their opinion but am baffled by some over the top nasty reviews, just don't see it.I had one Sunday dinner outside as i had my dog and the owner even brought out some meat for her lol so you can understand me heaping praise on this place. On weekends place is very lively with bands so give it a try #paroni

While attending a birthday meal over the weekend, I was excited to eat here having never been to the establishment before. As part of a large crowd, we were asked to pre-order our food a few weeks in advance and so i decided to splash out and order the fillet steak at £20.On arrival a waitress was questioning the steak eaters- writing our names on a pad with our type of steak (fillet, sirloin etc) and how we wanted it cooked so not to get confused. However, when our main meals started to arrive there was a flurry of shouting of orders from the waitresses (who were clearly perplexed with the situation) and lots of steaks and other meals were handed out-I was initially given a fillet steak intended for another person and so they swiftly took it away saying mine was coming.however in all the fuss the waitresses had plonked down maybe a dozen baskets of chips and seemed unsure of much. After about 35minutes from the first dish being served my steak finally arrived (after i admittedly ate nearly all of my chips out of hunger!) and when in fact the other 32 party members had finished their meals. I was disgusted to find they had in fact served me a sirloin steak with the fat trimmed and rolled over to imitate a fillet-probably in the hope i wouldnt notice the discretion. After a friend confronted the waitress-they were very insistant to say that we were wrong and that it was in fact a fillet steak, but they had cut it in half to cook it quicker . This is ridiculous in itself, as you could blatantly see the discretion and when you unfolded the steak-it was beyond obvious. No effort was made to rectify this as they continued the charade and attempted to make us look like we were being awkward customers. They also charged me the extra price of a fillet instead of the sirloin i had-a fact I did not contest as I did not want to ruin my own night by having to argue my case! I have not been so blind as to offer the establishment a 1star rating for atmosphere as we enjoyed our evening (though that was more to do with the company than anything else) in spite of this whole fiasco. However will not be going again and would not reccommend.

Went here for a girls catch up (mid point between cardiff & swansea) Food was fab but service was really poor, the waitress didn't seem to grasp the concept of smiling, in fact her social skills were quite poor (well she didn't have any). She rolled her eyes when I asked for no dressing & basically called one of my friends greedy for eating all of her (ok so it was rather large) meal! She forgot to bring our second round of drinks and huffed when we reminded her. We found it all quite comical but even though the food was fantastic she spoiled our experience.

We chose Reybah because of the vegetarian choices on the menu. The quality of the paper copy of this that we were given could have been improved. It was an old copy-of-a-copy and should have been binned some time ago. That apart, however, we were served by a helpful waitress who took a genuine interest in us. The home made meat balls, chosen by the non-veggies were delicious. The goat's cheese salad huge. There was a little mix up over one of the four desserts which was immediately rectified. All in all, a nice lunch time treat.

On visiting this restaurant over the weekend we as a group were expecting to have a nice bit of food and a few drinks before exploring the nearby coastline, we had neither nice food or a relaxing drink. There seemed to be chaos throughout the restaurant and the service was substandard, while having a drink we felt as though we were frowned upon, the atmosphere was not a relaxing one and it was hard for us to enjoy ourselves even for the small amount of time we did stay there. After finishing our drinks we decided that it was better to find somewhere else to have some food and decided to leave. I wouldn't recommend this restaurant to friends of mine and would tell people to try another venue in the area that is more friendly.
