The best bar in Uig. Can’t fault the food, very fresh and great quality. Fantastic selection of local beers and lager. I definitely recommend

We dined tonight for a friend’s special birthday. On entering the hotel it was welcoming, warm and the bar area had a great ambience. I know the hotel have new chefs the menu was great (definitely recommend the burger) all three courses were delicious. The waiting staff were first class and I would highly recommend a visit if you are on the Isle of Skye

We stopped for an impromptu light lunch. I had a seafood chowder and my partner had a ham ciabata sandwich. Perfect quantities, great taste, fresh. We had a draft local ale, which tasted very well kept. The service was amazing; relaxed and informative. Lovely atmosphere and overall experience.

Great food and the lighter bites made a good meal in and of themselves. Lovely fresh salad. The americano was the best coffee I had on Skye (only compared with two other places to be fair)— highly recommend if you’re looking for a rich, darker flavor more aligned with a French roast. Quick and attentive service, beautiful view.

This was a great surprise. Very polished service and a varied and intriguing menu. A lovely traditional dining room with a calm atmosphere. Meals were well presented and tasty and matched with a good selection of both bottles and wine by the glass. All round a great experience.

Wow! We loved it. We wanted to eat at skye but all the places were full so we decided to book this one and it was a success. The place is quite beautiful and with very good views and a good atmosphere. The waiter is quite friendly and the food is of very good quality for the price. I highly recommend it if they are in skye.

Arriving to the photographic splendour of the building set the scene for what had to come. The hotel front of house, chefs and resteraunt team worked together to provide a happy, imaginative journey worthy of a 5 star establishment.

We booked Sunday lunch and were accompanied by our 2 dogs. The staff could not have been friendlier and very much welcoming of our dogs too. The food was fantastic, so much so we had 3 courses, there was also a great view across to Uig.

What a great place! The menu has a nice mixture of sea food & meat dishes. Non of our group are vegi or vegan but those options were also available. We were staying in Uig during a Scottish roadtrip, and we weren't too sure where we'd be able to find food. However, we discovered the Uig Hotel was a short walk from our accommodation, and we were able to get a booking. We were surprised how good our meals were. Very hearty food, really tasty, plus a great selection of local Skye beers and friendly staff. If in Uig again, I'd definitely be booking in for a meal or two!

We came up to stay for two nights after our wedding and the service was brilliant. The food was absolutely delicious and completely faultless. The cheese and whiskies were also great! We’re going to book again to come next month we had such a good stay. The owner also came to talk to us and was extremely down to earth and a lovely guy! To be honest this was not our first choice but getting a reservation at a restaurant on Skye is currently difficult. However, having dined there we were delighted it had turned out that way. Welcoming, friendly staff and a table for 2 by the window, overlooking the harbour got the evening off to a great start. The food was superb. I had mussels followed by sea trout and my husband had chowder then the chicken supreme. We were both very happy with our choices and were too full for pudding. Prices were very reasonable too! . We’d have loved to have gone there again but we were leaving the next day. I have no hesitation whatsoever in recommending this place !

We are here two nights and the food was delicious! A nice variety and specials that changed each day. Easy to eat here multiple nights and it is really a bonus not to have to leave the premises and still get a lovely dinner! Highly recommend!

We spent two nights at the Uig Hotel and had two dinners and two breakfasts there. All were well-prepared with fresh ingredients using tasty recipes. We actually preferred to eat in the pub rather than the restaurant as it seemed more cozy to us and the staff were willing to oblige us.

Very reasonably priced for the excellent quality of the dishes from starters to mains to puddings. Staff so welcoming and friendly and lovely relaxing atmosphere and simple but classy decor. I was travelling alone which I find can be a little uncomfortable in some places. But the staff were so lovely that I felt like I was among old friends. Highly recommend Breakfast was a treat too, ordered night before which I don’t mind I know some people don’t like this idea but personally I don’t have a problem. Good selection to choose from. Also took advantage of the pack lunch selection, again quality food.

We were a group of 4 adults and 4 young kids that visited for lunch on a Saturday. The adults tried the fish & chips, chowder, nut loaf, and their burger. They also had a kids menu with a few options to choose from. Most of our group thought their food was ok, my wife did enjoy the nut loaf, but my burger was really disappointing. Very bland, the patty had a bit of an offputting taste, and on the whole it was just not enjoyable at all. I did not complain about the burger as the service had been quite slow and I didn't want to have another long wait for a replacement item. The bill for our group came to £130 including tip, of which £35 was spent on drinks. Based on my experience alone I'd award them 2 stars, but others in the group were neither satisfied or dissatisfied, so I've rounded it up to 3 stars.

Just brilliant is all I can say - my wife has a garlic intolerance and that wasn’t an issue. Quickly made some tweaks to courses as all cooked from fresh - the food was well cooked, full of flavour. The pork tenderloin was just stunning. A small criticism would be to have more veggies with it. The sour treacle tart was stunning.

Starters and mains delicious and very reasonably priced for fine dining. Helen and other staff made sure we had a lovely evening. Helen insisted we borrowed her torch to walk back to B&B a short distance away. Lovely food and friendly helpful staff.

We ate here one Sunday and had drinks one evening. The food and service were very good. The beer - local brewery in Uig - was very good as well. If you can get a seat outside on a sunny evening, the view rivals other famous places.

Fantastic views and amazingly friendly staff. Food was mediocre, especially for the price. Sunday menu lacking a couple of simple dishes. My roast beef had excessive amounts of fat, which the waitress commented on, and was undercooked to such a degree I could not eat it, one other party member experienced the same. Other two party members beef was fine and cooked so they were happy. I personally would not return.

The restaurant is popular with resident, locals and other visitors, so booking ahead is recommended. Menu offers varied choices: we particularly remember the venison fondly! A good buzz pervades the restaurant, as diners relax. I have had bad experiences of hotel restaurants: this one has restored my faith in them.

My Wife and I were staying at a nearby Lodge and Uig Hotel Restaurant was one of the only local venues welcoming non-residents to dine at their Hotel. We were greeted and served by very friendly staff throughout. The vegetarian options were better for starters than main, but overall we had a very lovely evening.

We dined in all of the three separate dining areas i.e. the main restaurant, the bar area and the area adjacent the bar overlooking the sea and Uig Harbour. All tables were suitably distanced and every meal we had was truly exceptional with service to match, which provided for a very relaxing and very enjoyable dining experience, such that we wish we hadn't bothered to eat at three other places while we were there because those places were nowhere near as good value and the food not as much to our liking.
