We had an anniversary meal at this restaurant and it was a perfect way to celebrate. The staff are wonderful, professional and friendly. The food is to die for! I had chicken pie which was absolutely delicious, plenty of food and piping hot.. My husband had the Moroccan vegetable tureen, he is an extremely fussy veggie and he said his was the best vegetarian mrsl he'd ever had!

My husband and I booked for Valentine's night. So glad we did as the food was exceptional. We were made to feel welcome from the moment we arrived. We were told they were a little short staffed due to Covid, but they all worked well as a team and nothing was too much trouble. Food was outstanding for all four courses, beautiful presentation and tasted devine. Thank you Cyril and team, we both had a fantastic evening. We will be back again very soon.

So I was the one ordering the 3 starters as there's so many options that I wanted to try all of them. I had the goat's cheese and marmalade puff pastry thing (I don't even like goat's cheese but this is my 5th time here and my 5th goat's cheese tart), the spicy prawns starter and the fishcake special - all perfect. I've also tried all the puds and the best one is the crumble. The best seats are the seats for two by the window overlooking the garden and the best time to go is Sunday around 7pm as it's nice and quiet. Perfect dinner again.

We have stayed at this hotel a few times but not eaten in their restaurant before. We decided this time to try it out and I'm so glad we did! The restaurant is comfortable with a lovely calming atmosphere, the perfect place for a relaxing evening with excellent food. I had the Casoulet which was absolutely delicious, I would go as far as saying it's possibly the best meal I've ever had in a restaurant. I had white chocolate cheesecake with boozy berries for desert and again it was fantastic although I was so full after my main course I didn't manage to eat it all more's the pity. My husband is a very fussy vegetarian and the hotel adapted a veggie chilli with dumplings for him and he thoroughly enjoyed it, which is rare for him in restaurants usually. He had the pear crumble for desert which again he thoroughly enjoyed. Excellent value for money, fantastic, home cooked food of an exceptionally high standard, I highly recommend a visit.

Rollestone Manor exceeded our expectations yet again, going there for our anniversary is quickly becoming a habit. Hopefully we will get back more often in the future! The lounge is great, with a good selection of drinks and the dining experience is top notch. I cannot say enough good things about the food, I’ve thoroughly enjoyed every mouthful each time that I’ve been.

Wow, what a great restaurant. We were celebrating my husband's 60th Birthday and this restaurant was recommended by good friends of ours, we were extremely impressed with both the friendly service and the food which was delicious and on the fine dining scale without being pretentious. We felt very relaxed the whole time and not rushed at all, we will definitely recommend this to everyone, great chef and great customer service.

This is a beautiful 13th century so it's interesting to sit in the lounge with pre-dinner drinks reading about it or looking at old photos. The dining room is very pleasant with tables not too close together. Our meals were freshly cooked and the menu catered for all tastes. It was all delicious. The service was excellent. Highly recommended!

Although a little off the beaten track its well worth the effort to try Rollestone Manor for a fine dining experience. I decided to try the pan fried tiger prawns and these were delicious and wonderfully presented. I would have preferred them to perhaps be served on pak choi or willted spinach as being served on a bed of mixed leaves on a cold plate meant the prawns cooled down too quickly. It was a change to have fries rather than rice and I think it worked well. For desert I went for the chocolate mousse which came with a shot of salted caramel vodka but I thought it was more like salted caramel syrup with a touch of vodka - much too sweet and thick for me. The mousse though was lovely and dark and unctious with a nice shortbread biscuit on the side. The Cote du Rhones Village was excellent and good value. A lovely meal with excellent food.

Lovely welcome and a beautiful lounge to sit in whilst we sipped our aperitifs and perused the excellent menu I had Pigeon Breast and Foie Gras Terrine with sourdough toast. The terrine was delightful ... seasoned perfectly and great flavour. I then had the Cassoulet which was served as a perfect Confit Duck leg on beans in a rich brown and very tasty gravy. There was also excellent bacon and sausage in the Cassoulet. Both these dishes were so good I had to try them again the next night - and this was not for want of choice on a very well thought out menu They have some good wines including the Cote Du Rhone Plan de Dieu 2106 which was very well priced and a lovely wine. YOu could see why it had won a Gold Medal at an international fiar for Lady winemakers For dessert I had Sicilian Lemon tart the first night which I thoroughly enjoyed and a cheese board with a varied mix of lovely cheeses This is a special place - thank you for such a lovely meal

There's plenty of parking just outside the restaurant which is just off the main road into Shrewton.I started with mussels which were excellent in a nice white wine and cream sauce with chopped spring onions which went very well, as did the crispy baguette. For my main course I had the cassoulet which was very good but rather salty for my palette as I tend not to cook with salt. The duck though was lovely and tender and falling off the bone but I think the sausage would have been better if it was a large french style garlic sausage. The dish was also all the same colour and texture and would have been improved with some green kale and perhaps beetroot crisps? The other dishes looked great and certainly the pheasant, partridge and mushroom pie I tasted was very good - with an excellent gratin. The wine prices were not too bad for a restaurant and we went for the Shiraz which went very well.At £85 for the 4 of us - starter and main course each plus a bottle of the Shiraz - the meal was excellent value for such good food and service.

The food was fresh and full of flavour. Despite being full from the first two course I still managed to sneak in an apple crumble for dessert. It was worth it! A good selection of wines, beers and spirits from the bar.

We had two evening meals at the Manor's restaurant and each was outstanding. The menu featured a good selection of starters/appetizers, main courses and dessert. I got to try pheasant and partridge in two different selections. But there are other good choices, including vegetarian. Service was competent and efficient. I think the owners, Cyrille Portier, is the only one in the kitchen but our food came out all at one time and was well prepared. The meal was moderately priced. I suspect reservations are a must because the kitchen is small and reservation timing is critical.

We booked a late-ish night dinner together with our stay at the manor and can highly recommend both. We're both rather picky eaters but we tried the cassoulet (which neither of us had had before) and it was glorious. The wine list had our favourite types of wine on it and went down really well. The service was flawless. We had a great night, chatting non-stop like in our early dating days. Definitely one for the memories.

Although booking took a little time (calling a few times then leaving a message and being called back) we were able to change our reservation at short notice when we were delayed. It is a well presented ancient converted manor with tasteful decor in keeping with the style/period of the building. The menu provided a wide choice of speciality foods. With the choice to sit in the bar/lounge while waiting for our food we felt very comfortable and relaxed. Food was absolutely delicious, snails, prawns, pheasant pie and cheesecake all exquisitely prepared and presented. I would highly recommend this place for a delicious meal in beautiful surroundings at a very reasonable price!

We came here for a special occasion instead of choosing a restaurant in Salisbury. The manager and waitress looked after us extremely well all evening. I recommend the partridge, pear and walnut salad to start. I had a very tender lamb shank as a main with veg cooked just right. I finished with a Creme brûlée which was the best I've tasted in years! All the food was delicious and we enjoyed the cosy old world charm of the manor house. Well done! We'll be back!

Recomendable 100%.

We stayed at eh manor and booked dinner. When we went down for dinner I was a little disappointed to be the only two in the restaurant which usually doesn't bode well. The staff can often see you as an inconvenience in these situations but none of it here. We were treated like VIPs and the menu was seasonal and exciting. In the end I decided on the smoked salmon and the cassoulet. Both were excellent with the cassoulet being extremely memorable. The wine list was good, well matched to the menu and reasonably priced.

Cote Brasserie - Salisburylocation-icon8 St. Thomas SquareFrench

I have visited your restaurants in both Cirencester and Winchester and yesterday 15th November, my boss took myself and a client to Cote Salisbury for lunch. We arrived as booked at 2pm and were shown to our table by a very abrupt, not altogether welcoming, relatively young woman. A very nice waitress took our order and made a great, up sell, suggesting that a bottle of Malbec, which she advised was a very good choice, might be better rather than 2 large glasses of same. As she said we could always walk with it. Starters arrived no real problem, 2 salads and a luke warm soup! Not how I would serve it at home! We then waited 45 minutes and our empty plates were still in front of us. At this point my boss stacked up the plates, dish and cutlery and carried them to a member of staff and asked when we could expect our main courses. I must point out that our original waitress appeared to have gone off duty. Our mains 1 Sea Bass and 2 Steak and Frites finally appeared and all were good. After we had finished we again had to attract the attention of, this time the abrupt young woman, to request the dessert menu. We immediately ordered 2 desserts and an Americano with HOT milk. She brought me the coffee almost immediately with COLD milk. Oh so irritating, but she did change it. The desserts arrived in a timely manner and were followed immediately with, you guessed it the bill. Needless to say we were the last people in the restaurant. The front of house staff were in no way working the whole restaurant and it meant that 3 ladies walked out of Cote saying that they would not be going there again. Can you really afford to loose customers in this way? We hear so much about how much the hospitality industry suffered during the pandemic and how it is still struggling.

The Dining Room at Whatley Manorlocation-iconEaston GreyFrench

Tried the spa facility earlier this year so fancied another trip for same plus Michelin Dinner and overnight stay. So glad we did. The tasting menu was outstanding and delivered the WOW I'm sure all serious fine dining folk want to have when paying decent money. Such quality in flavours . Generous portions. Good ingredients. On top of that service was friendly, perfectly timed and we never felt rushed. A nice bonus to start off was a few Amuse Bouche in front of the kitchen staff hard at work . Wonderful to see the precision and team work. Then to wrap up at 1am in the bar over a G&T, we were so pleased to have an appearance from Ricki Weston himself. I wanted to compliment him on a brilliant meal. This really is worthy of being 2 Michelin Stars in our opinion.
