Republic Bier Halle in Glasgow City

Brilliant for beer and bangers the staff are brilliant and the food is to.

Seating wasn't ideal, staff was nice though and decor was cool. Position of aircon over the line to the bar was just silly

I just arrived to Glasgow and wanted to have a drink. As a foreigner, i had only big notes from the bank and handed one to the bar tender who was not happy at all. After getting that beer down asked for another one having now ten pound note from exchanges from the first one. Again, very arrogant attitude from that man. He throw coins to me for no reason for such a behavior. I finished the second beer and left the place for good and won’t ever go back to Bier Halle in Glasgow. Found a nearby Drouthy’s with friendly staff and laughing athmosphere.

Didn't get any food here but it lolled nice. The range of beers was great, the service was attentive and the atmosphere was pretty cool. Worth a visit if you like beers and ales

My first time here and I highly recommend it for the selection of beers. Nice food too although I was there for the beer primarily and only had some chips. Nevertheless attentive helpful staff made the visit a very enjoyable one

Comfortable and casual, Bier Halle has been around for decades and is proof that if it ain’t broke don’t fix it. Pizza, beer and hot dogs. Winner. On a rainy lunchtime on Tuesday it was packed. Lunch for under £10 in 2023 is indeed a rare find. If you’re looking for somewhere to have a light bite and a chat you can do a lot worse.

Excellent bar with a relaxed vibe. Great service and some of the best beers on the planet in here.

Never had a bad time here. Always make a point of stopping in when we're in Glasgow. Foods pretty good. The wings are fantastic. Huge selection of beers too. You won't be disappointed.

Wings, Pizza, Beer... What's not to love?

Great spot for a wide range of beers from all over the world. Was nice to have a menu which explained the places where the beers all came from and tasting notes. The Belgium beer selection was my favourite! The atmosphere was lively and vibrant. Although we didn't try the food it all looked excellent so will definitely be back to try in the future!

Greeted by pleasant staff member who went away to ask if dogs were allowed. Unfortunately after asking a couple of other staff she returned to inform us they do not allow dogs. So can't give a star rating as we did not stay. Concrete floor was a bit industrial so not sure why dogs not allowed especially as all German bars in Germany do allow dogs . Unfortunately the guide we used which stated this pub was dog friendly were perhaps unaware this is mainly a dining establishment .

I'm Italian and love a good pizza but my personal preference is thin and crispy pizza... I wouldn't have imagined that the most delicious pizza I've eaten in Glasgow would be in a beer house but here I am writing a review to recommend it 😆 My choice of topping was goats cheese and vegetables but margherita was also great. I'm a teetotal so I can't review the drinks but my friends were very happy with them lol

Great to revisit this legendary bar/restaurant after many many years. So glad to see they’re still serving up great food, at very reasonable prices with a super friendly vibe.

Only had beer so can't comment on food but this place is an absolute gem! Underground felt just like being in Brugge again, lovely staff and an amazing selection of beer!

We were sitting on the nice terrace, sipping a pint and sharing a pizza. Pizza was nice, with hot honey on it. The ordering online process was easy and they accommodated my requests too. Great service.

We were sitting out site cause of great weather and music. Order is very easy. Need to be done and paid over the phone. Food was great.

Table of 6 of us in for their 2 for1 pizza offer on a Monday. We all thought the pizzas were delicious, crispy base, lots of toppings and great value. Huge range of bottled beer but my husband would have liked to have seen a couple of local beers on tap too. Staff friendly and a nice atmosphere. Will definitely be visiting again.

Why would you need my phone number and email address to order to my table? Shameless data gathering by making you scan a QR code to order online. Also seen the waitress mouthing obsenities to herself after another table politely questioned their drinks order. Cost me almost £9 for a pint and a half pint fruit juice full of ice.

Great venue. Intimate seating or tables for larger groups. Table service for drinks and food. Great choice of beers and food to match. Deep fried pickles are a must!

Spent a couple of hours in Bier Halle on Saturday 22nd. Served by Ewan and he couldn’t have been more helpful. Explained all of our beer options and took our food order. Outstanding service!..

One of the best bars in Glasgow. Always popular, with good reason. A massive selection of European beers (although need to add Erdinger), and the food is also very good. The atmosphere is nice and staff are friendly.

Friday, sun shining, pay day arrived - only one thing for it, a ‘working’ lunch before the weekend! We wandered along to Gordon Street and found Bier Halle, taking our seat in one of two outside seating areas. I ordered the Hot Dog & Chips, accompanied by a pint of Draught Coke. Nicely presented good food, with a decent portion size to go with it. Just under £10 for the lot - not too bad given the city centre location. The atmosphere was great - the weather playing a big part in dragging people out and about. Could easily have set there all afternoon (thankfully sticking to soft drinks before I got a ‘taste for it’). Will most definitely visit again!

Food is nice but they’ve got rid of their 241 pizzas and now only offer it on Monday which is pretty rubbish , i’ll not go as often. Also charge you like £3.50 to sit outside as a pavement charge!

It's a bit too automated for me. Had to wait a bit for the drinks as well. However, a great selection of ales.

Ordered a couple of beers, fries, hotdog and their version of a charcuterie board and it was soooo good. The cheese fondue that came with the board was so moreish and if they’d have bottled it, I’d have bought a truck load. Very good value for money and filling. Sun is out and though we’re sat in the shade it’s a lovely atmosphere. Highly recommend

Went for the beers and decided to get a pizza to share. My husband and I were blown away. Best pizza we’ve ever had (and we’ve had ALOT of pizza) highly recommend.

Just popped in for drinks with friends. Really nice bouncer at the door, and the bar staff were terrific. Enormous beet selections, and the Guinness was sublime. The go to place if you are in town.

The Selection of Biers are outstanding.. Fűrstenberg & Warsteiner being my favourite. Pizzas are good! however far too much ingredients on them.. as you pick the slice up the weight of the heavily applied ingredients slide off.. The ingredients are of good quality and taste great but just far too much on the pizza. I personally like the thin crispy base. 7.8/10 The Rubber Man 🍕🍻

Been going to this place for years now. Great food (esp the pizza), great atmosphere and a fabulous beer selection. Right in the city centre too not far from the train station. Place not to be missed.

This is my go-to place for a wide selection of great beers, from half pints to steins and tasty food at a low cost. I always go for the pizza and loaded (cheesy) chips. The entrance is down a set of stairs so it may seem tucked away, but the service and atmosphere is fantastic!

If you like your beers, you have plenty to choose from. The choices are from around the world. The fried pickles are amazing.

In for lunch, curry wurst and chips. Very pleased. Excellent service.

Great service, easy payments at the tables. Food good, beer good but a little pricey.

Visited here twice in the last week, one Sunday early afternoon and an evening midweek. The service is excellent with the staff visiting your table frequently. The portions are huge and great value for money, a great fine. The soup and sandwich deal or the half pizza and fries deal are definitely worth every penny.

I was sitting outside, and I saw the owner kicking out in a bad way a street musician who was playing lovely classical songs with a violin several metres away. Sadly, the musician had to take his stuff to move away. We were having a beer with a very nice atmosphere, but after witnessing such an unfair situation, we decided to leave. On our way out, and in a very respectful and polite way, I told the owner that we think he made a mistake kicking the musician out because he was really contributing to a nice atmosphere. This horrible person decided to answer me in a very rude and aggressive manner, saying very disrespectful comments about the musician and treating me not in a better way. We were having a nice time, but this person really ruined our day. I will never go again to this place, I'm not contributing to the business of people like this. Super disrespectful, rude, and aggressive, not only with the musician, but also with a respectful customer. Disappointing

Outstanding Bar, has its own little Niche Vibe, very chill great for a date venue, music is chill, nice ambient lighting, staff are always friendly and very efficient at taking orders, food is always great especially the deep fried pickles…visit every time I’m in glasgow! Defo recommend.

Back to my favourite bar in Glasgow to enjoy some quality beers and food before another gig at the Hydro. Always great service here and the food never disappoints. We'll give them time to restock on the Budvar for next visit haha. See you's again next trip.

We have visited here several times and untill tonight had really positive experiences However tonight was a disaster from the start Arrived and told no tables available by one waitress however you can join another table for 20 minutes Then another waitress comes over finds a table no issues for us in the back area Shame it then took over 30 minutes to even come and take our order All ok untill the second round of drinks forgotten for 35 minutes then eventually came to check brought order one drink missing We then asked for bill payed in cash including a healthy tip of £10 We goes to leave and original waitress corners my daughter and acusses us of not paying our bill She then corners me and accuses the same I shouted my husband who had gone upstairs and outside to check Same waitress acusses us of not paying Her colleague then says oh another waitress has taken the money I have to ask for an apology which original waitress reluctantly gave Spoke to management who looked really embarrassed but clearly didn't have a clue about customer care let alone how to manage a staff team 😡
