Rendezvous at Nargile in Aberdeen City

My daughter and I had a lovely lunch here, she’s coeliac and staff were very knowledgeable on her menu choices making it an enjoyable, rather than worrying, experience. The chicken durum is amazing!! Friendly staff and quick service.

Went for a birthday lunch. Quality of food was good but not nearly enough for the price - starter & main course for three plus tip came to £90 - pretty steep for a lunch. Only 4 thinly cut pieces of lamb & chicken in kebabs. Atmosphere wasn’t particularly welcoming to be honest. Won’t be back.

Saturday evening visit. Food freshly prepared and good quality …but expensive for what it was. Couple of staff members were desperate for us to leave, despite apparent 11pm closure, asked for a liqueur at 10pm and the face said it all !!!! Felt uncomfortable from that moment and happy to drink up and get out !!! On that basis, not sure I’d rush back !!!

Lovely attentive staff. Extensive menu. Fresh tasty food. Nothing not to like, good atmosphere. Would recommend a visit.

This place never fails to deliver. All the food was great - arancini, sausage, chicken wings, humous all fab for starters - then we had a mix of steak, king prawn and mixed kebabs. Everyone enjoyed their meal. Nice and reasonably priced wine. Always good service and a nice atmosphere for lunch. Catered well for dairy allergy which is an important factor for us.

This restaurant never fails to please us............. last Saturday we were in for celebration meal and everyone agreed that the food was excellent.......... Meze followed by kebabs etc. Greek salad perfect! Thank you to Dianne and team, Yvonne M

A table for ten people mid-week for dinner. The restaurant was busy but the food came out in good time and was full of flavour. Excellent service considering the how busy the restaurant was.

Had a fabulous meal at rendezvous. Excellent service from all staff we came into contact with on a busy night. Had the vegetarian mezze which was a mix of hot and cold dishes. So many fabulous flavours. Felt like we were getting very good value for money in a world of mediocre standards. Rendezvous at Nargile is by far one of the top restaurants in Aberdeen.

I highly recommend this place in Aberdeen for epicureans who enjoy their food in a lovely environment. I had a two-course dinner, starting with the Sucuk, which was truly delicious and set the tone for my next meal, the Mixed Kebab. The taste and portion size were both excellent, and the staff was friendly.

The food here is amazing! To name but a few… the hummus, the prawns, the Greek salad is absolutely delicious. Steak kebab and rice is something else! Staff are very helpful and friendly. One of my favourite places to eat!!

This for me is the best, most consistent restaurant in Aberdeen. It has stood the test of time and for over a decade turned out some amazing dishes and flavours time and time again. The menu is relatively simple, which helps with ensuring the food is the star. Sara, Diane, and the team always keep things to a high standard and you know what you are going to get here. Price wise, I think it offers good value for money, the portions are just right, without being either too small or far too big which is a difficult thing to achieve nowadays.. more does not always mean better.. If you are in Aberdeen visiting, or if you live there and have never tried it, I strongly recommend you give it a try, you won't be disappointed.

Reading all of the fantastic reviews, I was very keen to try this venue and had previously not booked thinking it would be okay but they were unable to accommodate us so, for this trip, I booked well in advance. The venue, service and the quality of the food were very good. The speed of service was good although we were on a 'timer' when we booked as they'd told us they needed the table back in 2 hours. However, the size of the portions left a lot to desired! It was barely adequate but I had expected more. A few days prior to this trip, I had eaten at a small Kurdish cafe and, whilst the quality wasn't the same, it wasn't far off it! The portion size at my cafe was bigger and it cost a quarter of what I paid here. All in all, I've tried here and it was fine but I think I'll try elsewhere for my next trip to Aberdeen.

The meal was enjoyable and service very good, but it was uncomfortably noisy apparently they have installed more tables but not a good idea as it will only deter people from returning this should be looked into for the sake of your business.

Food was good but having tried the more traditional versions of the dishes at the other Nargile in the city, these ones felt a bit bland. The setting was good and service excellent. But we missed the dishes we have tried and admired at the other restaurant.

The food is excellent. We choose the banquet and that is enough. Some recent reviews say that the portions are small. That is not our experience. Either the restaurant enlarged them or the other reviewers are used to enormous portions. Recommended!

Wow. We went on the recommendation that it was good, but we did not expect it to be T H A T good. Worth going for the banquet, taste all the wonderful dishes, there wasn’t one that wasn’t great!

Absolutely fantastic meal there last night. Truly one of the best meals I’ve ever had. We opted for the Mez and there wasn’t a single bit that wasn’t delicious. Highly recommend

We had the set menu, the range of cold and hot starters then main courses was phenomenal. Main courses were excellent including the lamb dish. Then topped off with selection of small sweets (which are very sweet!)

My partner and I live locally and decided on a whim to try Rendezvous. We have visited the Nargile in the city centre a few times and really like it, so had high hopes for this place. On arrival, it was busy and buzzy, we were promptly taken to our seats and coats hung-up. You can choose from hot and cold meze and a range of mains, or there is a set menu where things just get brought out to you. We decided to share three meze and share two mains. The hummus from both Nargile restaurants is the best hummus I have ever tasted. I have been to so many Mediterranean restaurants in various cities and nothing no other hummus comes close! All the dishes, were delicious and the meat on the main courses were cooked to perfection - top marks. Service was good, some servers were better than others. There were a few younger girls, who I didn't really think were on the ball compared to the staff - just lacked a bit of attention to detail and remembering our requests - a minor gripe really. Overall, I throughly recommend this place.

This was our first experience in a Turkish restaurant and we were looking forward to it. The staff couldn't be nicer and more attentive, so top score for the service. Being the first experience it sounded good to go for the banquet which promised a variety of tasting starters, mains and desserts. Every sharing plate was flavourful and fresh, but as a whole the banquet feels overpriced per person, as the plates are really small, and when it comes to the desserts they present one of each miniatures that are almost impossible to share. We will definitely give Turkish food another chance but probably not here.

Living local to the Rendezvous at Nargile you can take it for granted and having eaten there a few times over the last 6 months it is only fair to leave a review. The food is absolutely lovely, I have never had a bad meal, for all the years we have been going the consistency remains every time. The only thing is the ‘window’ of time you have to enjoy your meal before the next sitting. If you are not last in, then service can feel rushed but otherwise, it remains an Aberdeen favourite. Compliments to the chefs and all the team. See you soon.

Love the meze here, but really disappointing to see how much the quantity on each plate has reduced! The quality's still great, but wow, have the portions shrunk! Service and atmosphere as great as ever. Been going here since they opened (10+ years), but first time I felt we sparingly 'spread' the dishes on the bread as opposed to 'topped'.

There’s nothing to dislike about this place! The staff are very helpful and friendly and the food is delicious! The durums and steak kebabs are my favourite! Looking forward to my next visit soon!

Had a good meal here for three at a decent price point. The flavors in every small dish were well constructed and complemented each other. A fantastic and unexpected find.

Nice food, small portions good atmosphere

Lovely place, nice staff and really nice food. This is a nice little place not a huge amount of seating so book in advance from Thursday to Sunday. It's a simple menu but it has the classics and it's really tasty. The portions are not huge so I do recommend a starter + salad and main or main + pudding.

Guys. I'm begging you. Go. Here. Hands down the best meal I've had (apart from my mother's cooking, of course). Photos really don't do this justice. Just go. What are you waiting for???!! Thank me later (or rather, thank the chef later).

Disappointed Food great as always, had a selection of delicious meze, very enjoyable as always. However service was really very poor. Almost empty restaurant on arrival, but staff were quite nippy, and muttered about whether or not they could manage a party of two. There were approximately 8 occupied and 25 empty seats when we arrived; some 45 rather uncomfortable minutes later when we left, there was no change to this. Frosty service - we were not at all impressed. Will likely go back at some point because the food is tasty and it's easy to park close by - but not for a while.

But disappointed with the restricted menu, due to the lack of gas supply. The restaurant was not very warm. There was no apology from the owner is was left for the staff, not what I would expect for a very busy restaurant. Not sure if I will be back.

Birthday treat from the takeaway menu. Absolutely fabulous- same quality as sitting in. Arancini balls were best ever and the Iskender was delicious. Big thank you to the staff for all their hard work.

Several times ive had takeaway during 2020/2021 lockdown periods, every time the food has been excellent. Staff are super helpful & the selection is lovely. The collection set up runs very smoothly. Looking forward to visiting when we can.

We had a takeaway tonight from the Rendezvous and it was fantastic. It was our 26th wedding anniversary during lockdown and the food was great. A perfect way to celebrate.

Mi esposa y yo fuimos allí con otros 4 amigos hace aproximadamente 3 semanas. Se había reservado una mesa con mucha antelación.Cuando llegamos nos llevaron a una mesa al lado de la puerta. Preguntamos si esto podía cambiarse, pero nos dijeron que no.Pasamos la noche temblando y cada vez que alguien entraba era peor.Nuestra mesa estaba a unos pocos metros del bar y la entrada a los baños y había un tráfico constante hacia uno u otro.La calidad de la comida fue difícil de juzgar ya que la experiencia general fue de lo más desagradable.Esa tabla en particular debe eliminarse, ya que seguramente la experiencia del cliente debe ser, si no más importante, que los ingresos.Es una pena pero no volveremos.

My wife, our toddler and I had the Vezir banquet meals, followed by delicious ice cream (coconut and mango/passion fruit) and baklavas. The food was very good. The restaurant is bright and airy. One of my favourite place for lunch but I bet it is great for dinner too.

On a busy Saturday service we never felt rushed, and had a lovely dinner. Special mention must go to the Iskander dishes, one of my all time favourites, which I introduced my wife to this time (I had the lamb, she had the chicken iskander). Both were DELICIOUS.

The food was great, and staff took every care to accommodate a complex combination of allergies in our group. We all came away well-fed and happy. I had the aubergine and halloumi flatbread wrap which was excellent. The selection of starters and sides went down well.
