We really enjoyed the chicken teriyaki bao buns, very good authentic flavours. The decor inside the restaurant is also beautifully designed and very cosy. Do come along and give this place a try - it's worth it, I promise!

Red Panda genuine have THE BEST food in Exeter. If you were to eat out anywhere in Exeter I would recommend Red Panda. Their food is always fresh and you can tell they use the best quality products. They are always but always clean to the point where their countertops have never been messy when making the bao buns. They also STUFF the bao buns which is very very lovely of them because they are a small business. The customer service is top-tier. The staff are so so lovely and kind they also always ask and clarify what exactly it is that you would like which is very helpful because you will never be disappointed. They also have vegetarian and helal options which can be quite difficult to find, again being very impressive because they are a small business. I would never much recommend Red Panda to anybody and it’s a very good place to take someone if you want to impress them:) oh and they do loyalty cards so defo grab one of those.

Red Panda is hands down the best Asian-style street food in the city. The bao buns are good value for money, and come packed full of fresh, flavourful, ingredients. Warning... 1 bao bun will leave you wanting more, but 2 will leave you stuffed! The service is always super friendly, and the staff always check on how you would like your food customised to your taste. The ingredients are simple but done well, and everything is on display and prepared in front of you. 10/10.

Best bao bun I've had outside China. I had the tofu, a mix of spicy and teriyaki and it was delicious and very reasonably priced. They are a bit small but I compensated for that by having 2

I have to write a review as the food from the Red Panda is literally heaven in a mouthful. I wish I could write eloquently enough to describe every flavour that explodes, but I think you'll just have to trust and then allow your taste buds to sing to you! I adore the pork which is SO tender and my hubby loves the veggie option. There is so much attention to detail in the combination of flavours chosen, everything has a place and compliments one another. The bao buns are a delight in themselves, as are the salad boxes. This lunchtime take away is not only deliciously satisfying but healthy and nutritious. A true delight every time.

Had lunch at the Red Panda a few days ago and I haven’t stopped thinking about it since. Had the rice and salad box with teriyaki tofu and it was incredible. Gluten free and veggie and a good price. Honestly wish I lived in Exeter so I could get lunch here all the time. My partner had two of the buns which she loved too. Absolutely delicious. Don’t go anywhere else for lunch in Exeter - this is the place 🤤🤤

I always go for the salad box with chicken. They have a loyalty scheme, which I took advantage of this time and had a free bao bun, turns out those are very good as well!

Considering it’s my favourite city I always struggle to find anywhere in central Exeter that hits the spot for food on the go and usually end up munching a supermarket meal deal by the cathedral. Well no more because this wonderful little place serves the simplest and yet most delicious little bao buns that are perfect for a quick bite. I can thoroughly recommend the belly pork which was melt in the mouth but could easily have enjoyed the tofu versions. The only problem now is I can’t wait to go back for another. Friendly efficient staff as well.

Lovely little find in Exeter - freshly made bao buns loaded with a selection of tasty fillings - flavours delicious and exciting - definitely recommend and return! Stopped in for a quick lunch with a friend and was blown away by how good the food was. Between us we had the satay chicken bao, and pork belly bao and salad and it was all wonderful. This is definitely going to be my new favourite lunch venue in Exeter. The spicy chili seasoning they put on top is incredible (and addictive)

We called in at Red Panda on the way back from a holiday in Cornwall, and what a great decision it was! Far and away the best bao we have ever tasted. We had a selection of belly pork, chicken satay, and spicy tofu bao along with a serving of the vegan curry - all packing exceptional flavour! It was great also to chat with the owner who clearly holds a lot of passion for what he does, and this certainly comes through in the food. Well done RP, we will certainly be returning!

Best little place in Exeter. Me and my friend come here for lunch quite a lot and we’re never disappointed. The service is so friendly and personable and the food is to die for. Recently did there order and collection for lunch and it was so well organised. Our food was waiting for us when we got there. Couldn’t recommend enough.

My friend and I have loved picking up a bao bun for lunch every now and then during term time. We were thrilled to hear it was re-opening because the food is outstanding! I'm so delighted to have been eventually put onto Red Panda - ironically, by a furloughed staff member of the equally excellent nearby Pho Vietnamese street food restaurant, which to my disappointment closed down completely for the lockdown period. Although with its own individuality, the Red Panda food is the most similar to the exquisite Pho salad-type dishes (which I so miss) that I've encountered anywhere, and it's delicious in a manner that makes me feel really good - my body telling me in effect "Yup, this really is as healthy as they've been aiming for it to be!". I'm particularly picky about eating healthy meals, without the harmful components that most people are addicted to.So far I’ve greatly enjoyed their Chicken Satay salad box, Red Panda Curry with Chicken, and Vegan Super Salad (with tofu). In the latter case, I actually ordered the Teriyaki tofu rice and salad box, but added a note to my order to point out that I’d really wanted to order the Super Salad but hadn’t done so because their website gave no option to add rice to the order for the Super Salad (which by default doesn’t contain rice). The good people actually came up with the Super Salad with brown rice, just as I’d originally wanted, and assured me that an option would be made available for me to order that in future with rice.Indeed, the rice is one area where Red Panda score over Pho, because RP offer the alternative of white rice or brown rice. And for this purpose the particular brown rice used is a marvellous chewy nutty-flavoured short-grain variety, which goes exquisitely with these tangy salads. If you prefer to wolf down your soft sticky white rice, man (/woman), you don’t know what you’re missing! Get a life and try this much more satisfying and life-affirming version! :-)Also, their version of a curry is quite different from any standard notion of a curry (at least, here in the UK). Again, it exudes a sense of chunky 100% wholesomeness rather than being a brown mess that you evaluate according to its spiciness rather than its healthiness! Pho do an exquisite curry, but this is even more different from the standard curry image, being mostly chunks rather than mostly sauce, and even includes the odd chunks of a salad-type potato. I must also comment on the lovely two guys who prepare, pack and hand over these wonderful food packages. Despite the social distancing and their wearing the dratted but so-necessary face masks, their friendliness and welcome radiates in such a manner that each time I turn up there to collect my stuff it feels to me as though they’re greeting me with a big warm hug!

Lovely to go to for a little lunch and the food is incredible. Perfect for takeaway, and the service is really really good, and I have enjoyed getting to know the owners by going there way to often. And to have such a thriving business open at the moment is really nice, I know those who work there have worked incredibly hard to keep going with such a wonderful business, so I would highly recommend it. It its perfect for a light lunch, and you can just add more if you are feeling a little more hungry.
