Red Bamboo in Enfield

Great buffet, reasonably priced. About £30-40pp with drinks. Can order upto 6 dishes at a time (to help reduce wasteage) portions reasonable and tasty. Good selection of dishes. Hot and sour soup was not on the buffet menu but was available on request. Would both recommend and visit again.

Food is really nice, staff are friendly and is reasonably priced. Highly recommend. Could do with a refurb though.

Gluten free heaven. First Chinese meal Ive ever had in a restaurant, it was so exciting. Reasonable prices too!

We paid approximately £25 each for an all you can eat menu. You get a checklist and basically tick off items which are split into courses. The portions are small so don't worry if you think you're going to get served main-sized portions. Beware though that unfinished dishes will be charged at a la carte prices. Would not recommend the vegetarian Singapore noodles but the crispy duck was great.

The food is unbelievably lovely. I have never had a bad meal! The owner & staff are helpful and assist in choosing the right food and drinks. The atmosphere is convivial & gentle with no loud music. We Always have a great time here.

Disappointing, seems to have gone downhill since moving premises. The food is fine but slightly worse quality than that of the take-aways close by, but 30% more expensive. They even illegally charge for tap water with the defence that "water is expensive". Sadly will not be returning.

Got a collection takeaway. Very prompt and friendly phone order, food was ready on time. Fairly small portions that did not fill the containers (apart from the rice). The chicken chow mein was excellent, sweet and sour chicken was good as were the spare ribs but the beef in black bean sauce was poor. The quality of beef was questionable as it had a very strange texture that I cannot describe and as a result we left it. It was our first experience of Red Bamboo, we will try it again and will be happy to change the review should our experience be improved.

Went as a group of 6 shared many dishes all amazing.

It is ashame because all the reviews and photos looked good online,thought it would be good to give it a try as I don't have many local Chinese restaurants near me. I'm sorry to say this but I have never ate such bland noodles in my life.....chicken was literally like jelly I told the waiter and she said she will speak to the chef. Didn't hear nothing back from her she asked if we're finished and took away the plates . At this point I was waiting for someone to come back and offer a possible replacement to what I ordered...nothing. I asked for the bill after sitting for another 10mins which felt like she had just ignored me so I asked someone else for the bill. And unfortunately they tried to charge me £7.80 for a dish I did not touch....at this point I was not happy and just wanted to leave. I told her i do not want to pay for something I didn't touch.she decided to remove it from the bill but felt to inform me if I wish to return NOT to order her chicken as that is how the 'chicken' is served. Lastly to top it off on the way out I over heard a family saying their food wasn't really nice either. Give it a try at your own expense but I wouldn't personally recommend

Excellent Chinese restaurant serving great variety of tasty food at reasonable prices. Helpful, friendly efficient staff giving prompt service. Was full on the Friday we attended so would recommend booking to ensure availability. Very good menu with lots of dishes at a set price for as much as you can eat with the proviso that any food you don't eat is charged at the main menu rate plus 10 percent.

Omg went to the buffet last night. Fried fried fried and greasy. Worst meal ever. We all had a stomach ache. Never again

I have not used this Chinese before. I was passing by and thought I would give it a go as i wanted a take away. The service from the ladies was very polite. The food arrived quickly was hot and was very nice. We had a cheeky beer whilst we waited which was cold. Overall a good experience.

Really enjoyed this. Went for the buffet option and was advised on the number of dishes per setting. If anything this was still too much as rolled out an hour or so later. Good quality food matched by service. Got busy as we left so booking ahead might be advised.

Probably the best sit down Chinese I've had in about 15 years. AYCE selection is great, I've been back a couple of times and I'm yet to leave hungry or disappointed

ILLEGAL - THEY CHARGE FOR TAP WATER WHICH IS ILLEGAL!!! Will be writing a letter to the council - tap water should always be free, when i said it was illegal to charge for tap water the waiter stared at me blankly.

High quality, great flavours and authentic. The service was very warm and I liked the old decor, put a smile on my face.

My young daughter suffers from gluten intolerance and this place offers the best Chinese gluten free food and excellent customer service. We were so pleased and will be back again hopefully soon. Highly recommend.

Top quality food, fairly high price, but decent value still. The food makes up for any negatives. I had the best duck there ever!!!

Unfortunately will not return with children as we were asked to pay adult prices for them for the buffet due to their height. They only went on to eat 2 starters and 1 serving of crispy duck ...so nowhere close to value for the £21 plus each cost. The service was minimal but ok and the food just ok. All a bit no frills but the cost suggests more should be expected.

Favourite all you can eat Chinese. Service and food are amazing. Would definitely recommend!

After numerous visits to other Chinese restaurants locally, this one is far the best! Quality food (and my hubby is extremely fussy and loved it!) which makes a difference, and it was our first time visiting them today, after searching for the best Chinese restaurants in North London!! Red Bamboo was listed as one of the top 10! Very happy customers!

I haven’t had a Chinese in 8 years because getting it gluten free is near impossible even in London. It was amazing. Huge gluten free menu, all the favourites and more. It wasn’t too greasy or salty. The non gluten free options were also great. Worth travelling for.

Great food and service, run by very friendly bunch of people. We have been eating in and take out food from here for 18+ years. My two boys love the food. It's their favourite place to have food.

Lovely food selection and really good service

We ordered a takeaway from this restaurant at 6.30pm. We were told it would be an hour. At 7.30pm we called to find out where our order was and was told the driver had left 20 minutes ago and would be another 15 minutes. It is now 8.15pm and there is still no sign of our food. Horrendous service!!

Best Chinese food in North London.

Always delightful and always quality. Chinese food as i remember it when i was young.

Don’t ignore the poor reviews! If I could give no stars I really would. Ordered a delivery on a Monday night and what was delivered was absolutely disgraceful. The prawn toast and spring rolls were drenched in oil and burnt, the salt and pepper squid was microwaved and tasted like rubber again saturated in oil. The dishes were small portions even though we had paid for large, to add insult to injury the woman I spoke to on the phone was so rude and obnoxious and refused to give a full refund, but after numerous discussions and arguments eventually we got a refund. Serious concerns on their delivered food standards. We have packaged up all the remaining food which is around 60% and will be returning it to the restaurant.

Loved it. 1st time there but will definitely go again and highly recommend them. The food was excellent.

Just like to say , we have been looking for a new place to enjoy our Chinese food , have driven past this location for years. A neighbour recommended you and was she right. Wow what great service amazing food and the hospitality from your team was amazing . I think the owner came and chatted to us , I think we had to much of your really well priced wine lol. If you have not visited Red Bamboo make it your new friend as the person who owns or runs it , is such a lovely lady made us feel like family . And the buffet is amazing Five star service

Great place for groups with large variety of Dishes. Came he for the first time after a recommendation from my uncle, it's a new type of dinning experience for me. There are two types of evening menu the Al la cart (a normal dinner menu charged per dish) or a sit in three course selection menu of which you can ask for as much as you like. The idea here is that you choose a few starters (depending on number at the table) and if you finish them and want more you can ask for more or a different starter. The same applies to the middle soup or duck course and then same applies to mains (see my images for dishes and courses). Needless to say I would be surprised if you need to ask for more for any of the courses! The dishes are you classic British Chinese style dishes and a few others. All the dishes we ordered were great! Some dishes that I expected not to like (not a fan of squid) were also actually very tasty! The only issue with food is that I had the rare/occasional dry but of chicken in the sweet and sour chicken ball starter, but every single/all other dishes were top notch! Fresh tasty and super tender meat! I also recommend the crispy lamb! The service was excellent, very attentive and friendly waitresses willing to go the extra mile to ensure you are having a good meal. There is only on street parking and there may be parking restrictions (check street views for parking signs) there is also a car park at Waitrose but may be for customers only. TLD: different concept of evening dinning, fresh food and lots of it. Give it a go with a group of friends of family.

Was looking for some local and good Chinese food and this popped up on Google maps. Overall food was good quality. Staff friendly and knowledgeable. Free local parking after 6:30.

Go here regularly. All you can eat menu with very nice food. Basic surroundings and pleasant staff. Definitely recommend.

I've used this restaurant a few times. Each time the food was fantastic; the service 'super' efficient; the staff ever smiling... And the ambience with its supporting hum of conversation and laughter, infectious and always warm. Certainly a place one could definitely feel at home.

Esta no es la primera vez que pedimos comida al Red Bamboo, y no será la última. Pedimos una serie de platos y todo se entregó bien dentro del tiempo de espera mencionado por primera vez por teléfono. Cada plato era extremadamente sabroso y una buena cantidad en cada recipiente que aún estaba caliente. Ojalá viviéramos cerca de una comida para llevar similar a la de Surrey.

Probably the best Chinese restaurant in the area, which unfortunately is not very lucky when it comes to Chinese food. Still room for improvement but good. Big portions. Service a bit slow but nice staff. Reasonable prices. Will definitely go back

Food is uneatable. If you are unable to deliver standard chicken black bean you are in the wrong business. Dated decor. Microwaved food.35gbp later only item that tasted accordingly was diet coke. So sorry for saying that but NOT COMING BACK. Improve or you soon will be gone.

The food is actually fantastic. Came HOT and fresh, tasting delicious. The service is what I would call standard. Decor dated. For flavour and choice I would definitely recommend.

Lived around the corner from here for years but stumbled upon here by chance. Had the set menu for two and all dishes spot on. Malaysian chicken dish lacked a bit of depth bit everything else cooked well and tasted good. Staff very flexible and accommodating. Good value for money and I'll be ordering again. Very happy I found it.

Although there is a large choice of dishes and you can have as many dishes as you can eat I found the food very bland compared to some other Chinese restaurants I have dined at. In a nutshell I would not go back again

La comida es excelente, coma todo lo que quiera, el menú tiene menos de 20 e incluso incluye gambas y pato crujiente, todos los platos llegan calientes y recién cocinados a pedido y tienen un sabor increíble. El personal es amable y servicial. El único inconveniente es que el restaurante podría hacer con la actualización, pero sin duda volveré.

I visited this restaurant specifically for their gluten-free menu and whilst I love that they have this, I’m disappointed that I didn’t discover until afterwards that they do an all you can eat menu! We weren’t offered this and spent an extortionate amount on food, and felt misled that we weren’t advised we had the option of ordering off a different menu!

lovely Chinese restaurant. Very homely atmosphere and producing the usual Fayre. Not the fastest in the world but then it's not a McDonald's! We found for sitting and eating and chatting the speed to be just about perfect. They have a style of their own which we very much enjoyed and is very quaint. One little minus point I would say that they ought to have something on the tables to keep the dishes hot or perhaps bring them a little hotter in the first place. however I would not press this too hard. Does it not say That the pressing of the nose brings forth blood? We are very particular people and we enjoyed eating here so I'm sure most of you will also

Starters were the best, lovely presentation & tasty(chicken wings were not very nice though). Service was well paced, allowing for breaks in between, very busy, which is a good sign I think. Overall a really nice place that's tucked away in the corner. Ate from the £18.80 buffet, will try the main menu next time.

This is our regular, we get a take out at least once a month but standard has dropped drastically. I Bought a take out yesterday (14.2.19), ordered @ 6:30pm for collection between 7:45pm/8pm, giving them enough time to prepare & cook BUT was very disappointed. We always order the same dishes...

Very poor food, price is cheap but would rather pay more for better quality. Starters were the best of a bad bunch amd the duck was overcooked and had a bitter aftertaste. Main courses were all very bland and looked as though all the sauces were made from one base. Wouldn't recommend

First time at Red Bamboo even though we are locals we just weren’t aware it was there. However plenty of other locals were and it was nice and busy by the time we left.

We have eaten here many times , incl when it was Kampung. The Buffet is great as it is all cooked to order and you can eat as much as you want , within the limit if “If you order it and don’t eat it there will be an extra cost”. As with most all inclusive meals drinks can be a bit pricy but all in all good value and lovely food
