Relaxed and friendly casual eating spot serving punjabi food. Nice little menu (I think all vegetarian) covering a Daal & Sabji of the day as well as pakoras, samosas and the like. Everything we had was tasty and fresh, and really good value

Food is good, could do a takeaway do recommend but space is very less for dine in.Good north Indian vegetarian food reasonably priced.

I was drawn by the hype and excellent word of mouth. Tried a few different things. Seems like it's been tailored to be more fusion and less traditional, and I expected it to be as traditional as it can get after going thru the website. Wasn't bad, but I would have preferred it be good rather than 'not bad'.

Affordable and delicious vegetarian & vegan curries in the south side. The sweet paratha is a personal highlight and the portions are amazing value for money. The pakora and samosas are also a must, super crispy and full of flavour. Will continue to be a go to.

When you need to scratch that itch for carbs, spice and somehow healthy this is the go to!

Homely Simple Vegetarian Punjabi food!

Best place for food in the Southside of Glasgow. Honestly the most amazing staff with the warmest and most welcoming atmosphere. Food is brilliant and leaves you high and vibrant. If you don’t visit here on a trip to Glasgow you’re missing out. I love this place so much and I will miss it when I move away. It’s an institution and a perfect meeting place!

We came across this place by accident, as we were driving past. We parked in the next street and walked up not knowing what to expect. Staff are friendly and know about the food being served quite well. The place is 100% vegetarian with vegan options available as well. Food was as advertised, tasty and home like. We were there with our two kids and all of us enjoyed a variety of food items. I had the Thali and enjoyed the Saag, although it was made from Palak and not Saag, it tasted wonderful. The Dal was so delicious that we ended up getting a large takeaway with us as well. Also highly recommended are their stuffed parathas. Unfortunately they did you have Gobi or Cauliflower parathas. But we enjoyed the mixed veg parathas and the aloo paratha. We will surely return to this little jem in Glasgow.

Best Indian restaurant I've been to!!!

Homely place with tasty food but the cleanliness of the staff at the front is disappointing. I saw a waiter serve food without washing his hands, despite just sneezing into his hands.

Some of the best Indian food I reckon. Love the parathas and the pakoras! My only feedback would be that I wish the parathas come with the raita and pickle, instead of buying them separately. That’s how it’s meant to be served. But otherwise, also the staff are nice and the tea is lovely!

A lovely place to get a delicious vegan curry. Takeaway was fast and priced very reasonably.

Great place for some home like vegetarian food. They also have some good jain options. The parathas are well stuffed and freshly made. The black chickpeas dal was very tasty.

It was a rainy day in October, a perfect day to eat samosas. A colleague at work strongly suggested Ranjit's samosas so thought will give it a try. So far I remained disappointed to find fresh, crisp samosas in Glasgow which are usually pre-cooked and get heated in microwave before serving. However , what a surprise!!! I entered this lovely little place, welcomed by friendly staff and best of all, got freshly fried potatoes and peas samosas with 2 delicious chutneys, crisp and so yummy... now I found a place for samosas where I will be back again and again, Thank you Ranjit's Kitchen.

Love this place ! Wish it was a bit closer to my home . I live north east of city and this is south side . I make the drive here to get the lovely homemade food & great service ! Very friendly staff ! great atmosphere! Also great prices and dog friendly 🐶 Highly recommend 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

Pathetic service...would never visit again

Food is definitely great in quality and taste. But customer service is very bad. If you're fair skinned, expect these: 1. The moment you step into the place, they will ask you to sit and explain you menu. 2. They will put glasses of water on table for you. 3. They ask you about what kind of spice, variety you want. 4. They will ask you whether you want to start with a hot drink or have it at the end. If you're dark skinned, none of above will happen. If you're dark skinned, if you tell them you want to have coffee after eating food, they will roll eyes and look at you with frustration. They will give you menu and just you've to tell them what you want. They won't explain you about spice level, variety. They won't put water on the table for you even after serving spicy food to you. They won't ask you if you want a hot drink before or after eating food. If you don't believe this, take some dark skinned customers with you and enjoy the treatment based on skin colour. Such a lovely place in 21st century.

We had the worst experience today just now at this restaurant i.e 14th Oct 7.30pm with me & my family , the level of insult such restaurant can do to regular customer. Restaurant close time was 8.30pm, we were at 7.20pm at Desk for booking, upfront they said, they can't book table for you as we have to many bookings. We were with our little kid, were travelling by bus specially to visit here from far. No courtesy, No politeness to take even parcel or wait for some time, upfront Big No. How we should or a customer should behave. If u were customer and u face such thing with ur family.

The atmosphere is lovely, very social, cosy and friendly. Restaurant is lovely inside. I was so excited to dine here as I've heard all brilliant things. The food was ok, the paneer pakora was very bland and dry. The Dahl was very tasty although watery. The front of house staff were sniffing and coughing all over the place unfortunately. Put me off.

Adding to the superlatives. Brilliant restaurant. Delicious food. Friendly people. Managed two visits in a week. We ate in but take-aways were also flying out all the time we were there. Lovely, small, family-run. No reservations. When we turned up, it was quite busy and no tables were available, however the owner was kind enough to take a mobile number, so we could stroll over the road for a quick drink while waiting. He called us when the previous table was getting ready to leave - so we arrived spot on time.

Food was delicious and brilliant value, cooked properly, not at all oily. It was vibrant and bubbling in there, and all the serving staff were fun and friendly. The thali plate was perfect!

Love this place. We have visited with our two kids. It was busy and had to wait a bit. But the food was outstanding (authentically Indian) and staff very friendly. Even though the menu was entirely vegatatian, the kids loved it. Really good value and would recommend it to any who loves a meatless diner.

It's rare to find a place that can replicate the taste of homemade food so authentically. If you're looking for a place that serves food with a homely touch, Their thali is a must-try, and I'm already looking forward to returning for another comforting meal.

This quaint little shop is nothing short of spectacular. It honestly is just equivalent to the most authentic home cooked food by your favourite auntie. You can't go wrong with anything you choose so I would just outright recommend everything on the menu. It's a very small restaurant though so you may be waiting if you go at busy times.

My mum and I had a wonderful dinner here - it felt like we were eating at home. The whole team really cares about the food, and the joy that it brings to people in the community (and visitors!). The ingredients were all super fresh, the pakoras crispy and not greasy, and the lassi was the best I've ever had!

Great tasting, fresh, home made food. The family is very welcoming and were very helpful when enquiring about different dishes. To top it off my son chose a box of delicious sweets to take home!

The mixed Veg. Paratha and mixed veg. spring roll is the best. Must try when you visit Ranjit's Kitchen. Highly recommended.

Beautifully hand made authentic Indian food all vegan or vegetarian. The Samosas are awesome. Rotis done perfectly. Try the Thali - it's superb. And don't leave without trying the sweets and cha. Seriously, on my first visit I felt like I was as a wee girl again, sharing a feast, my family round to the table. Wonderful. Thanks so much. We will be back, for sure.

Exceptional food! Flavours from home! Just what I needed- a hug from the inside :) Please expand the restaurant... more seating.. bigger kitchen for yourselves... maybe add delivery! The menu was spot on- excellent choice and love the 'of the day' dishes! Great focus on seasonal foods which offers diners a different experience every time. Love it! Compliments to the chefs in the back :D

Good Punjabi Food - Pure Vegetarian Kitchen - subtle taste & many options. Very limited options for Jain Food available. The young lady managing the counter was very friendly & courteous. Advance Booking recommended as gets crowded during dinner time.

So good! I got a very generous portion of delicious sweet and sour chickpeas and paneer and roti for a very reasonable price. Service was excellent. I'll be back! 😀

Very nice restaurant, purely vegetarian! There are four large tables that you have to share with others. But that's what Scotland is all about. The warmth and being nice to each other. In terms of price, we are in the middle range. The menu is attached. Great, you can also buy delicious sweets there to take away, simply spectacular

Ranjit's Kitchen offers an incredible Indian dining experience. The flavors of their Vegetable Paratha, Dal of the Day, Aloo Paratha, and Chai were pretty decent. The service was excellent, and the cozy ambience added to the overall charm. Highly recommended

Don’t quite see what the fuss was about? Food was tasteless, no flavour really and relatively bland. Friendly staff with hip atmosphere but we were expecting way more. Seems hyped by people who lack seasoning and would do anything to support the vegan trend!

Absolutely disgusted with the attitude of the staff, that I dared to walk in for a take away on a busy Saturday night at 17:50, you could have told me you were to busy to take my order rather than belittling me in front of your other customers, hope your happy with yourselves, will never be back.

It's always a pleasure to eat at Ranjits...it's a small sitting area but that ensures quick service.. takeaways available.

I have eaten many Indian take outs but never had one so authentic and tasty until I tried Ranjit’s. This is proper Punjabi cuisine and hasn’t westernised their dishes like most Indians in Glasgow. Everything is veggie which is great. Portions are massive, always have some leftover for lunch the next day. As they have 2 “curry” of the day meals you can order frequently and still be trying something new. Super fast, usually ready within 10 minutes of ordering over the phone. The chana paneer and aloo tikki are a must try.

The prices used to be quite reasonable but they've jumped on the bandwagon of increasing prices to an extent where it's not actually worth paying for. It's just mediocre portions of veg/spices/paneer yet you're being charged as if you're buying generously portioned meat dishes. Desserts are well overpriced too for small portions. Unfortunately we won't be back until the prices are reduced appropriately and better portions are given.

Absolutely delicious, great price and lovely staff, looking for excuses to go back to Glasgow so we can eat there again ☺️

This place has a great reputation, but the last two times I’ve been there it has been poor. Both times it has been busy so seems like they can’t cope with the volume of orders. I left the place and my clothes were honking, straight in a boil wash

Look no further than Ranjits if you're looking for authentic panjabi food. Have been a couple of times and been so satisfied. Service does take longer than your usual, but food is prepared fresh, made fresh and served exactly as it should. I've been starved so much of "home cooked food", dishes and tastes I just can't manage to replicate myself and Ranjits kitchen just nails those sweet spot. It's a real treat. Has something of a fusion - comes across inside as a typical British cafe but serves solid panjabi dishes. Has a bench style seating arrangement so when it's busy I imagine may be difficult to find a spot - but that seems to be the vibe in Glasgow. It's really affordable and I recommend it. Always looking for an excuse to us back.

This is a gem in Glasgow. We just had samozas and pakoras that were the best we had anywhere. This is not your typical street food, it has been prepared with care. I am ready to try everything else on the menu. Will be back for more...

My anytime favourite for the pure vegetarian options. I loved and definitely recommend the Saag and Makki roti, and homemade sweets. In fact everything is worth trying.

This is a gem of a place. Truly " Home Made " food. Prepared in small batches in a home style kitchen. Flavours are very authentic and the food will take you on a journey of gastronomic adventure. Came across Ranjit's Kitchen by chance and we were so happy to find such a gem. We visited midweek at lunchtime and there was a good turnover of both dine-in and takeaway customers. Simple dining area and short menu but do not let this distract you from the food, which was amazing We are vegan and delighted to find most dishes could be made vegan or were naturally vegan The staff were so friendly and helpful but not in your face Interesting array of sweet treats at the counter Parking right outside or maybe we were just lucky We will definitely return to Ranjits Kitchen again even tho it's an hours drive!!

This is another great wee place that I haven't been to since before lockdown. I know. Don't get me started, lol. The food (I believe, southern Indian, vegetarian and vegan ) was as delicious as I remember it being before, the lassis are wonderful but filling, so bring your appetite 😋, and the service was friendly and helpful. The only downside this time - the restaurant was cold! Other than that, loved it.
