Had an excellent meal last night for my father’s 70th birthday. There were seven of us and the staff were so polite and accommodating. The food was very flavourful and came out piping hot. The staff went above and beyond to make it special for my father’s birthday.

This has quickly become our go to curry house. After trying almost every curry house within a 3 mile radius Raj Tandoori is our favourite every time, especially eating in. Lovely staff, lovely food, we take everyone we know and they all agree.

Food was great. Service was exceptional. We were there for a celebration and the staff brought us some chocolates at the end. Really made the occasion special. Would highly recommend.

The most delicious takeaway on New Year's Eve. We pre ordered the night before, service was excellent and was ready as soon as we arrived to collect. All food was hot and perfect in every way. The best indian take away we have tasted in a long time. We will be back and highly recommend.

Made a visit here for a Christmas get together with some work colleagues. I am not normally into Indian food, but I tend to like tandoori food. I did have so.e amazing food. The staff helped me choose food that I would enjoy and I was not disappointed. I would recommend this place.

Five-star service, excellent food. We have been going to the restaurant for nearly 30 years and it has never been a disappointment. Good extensive menu and wine list. Help is available for guests to try different menus and those with food allergies. A memorable evening made very special by the welcome and attention of the friendly staff. First time eating here, lamb rogan josh was superb. staff are friendly and attentive chicken tikka was cook perfectly. I also tried the butter chicken, cashew korma both were very nice.

We had another fabulous evening at the Raj. The food was so good, the flavours were amazing and so different from other restaurants. The service was perfect and the staff were friendly, polite and efficient as always. We would highly recommend and will be back soon.

It's my local Indian Restaurant. I usually pop in after work if the plane is delayed. I chat with the guy at the bar and have a beer. Always a good conversation. The food is really good. Tonight however it was exceptional, I asked for phall hot (bad day) and it came phall hot, very enjoyable, best I've had ever. I've been going to the Raj for over 11 years. If your local go, but you would need to book. Exceptional tonight. Thank you.

This restaurant is the best in the area by far, the food is superb and always fresh and hot. The staff are very friendly and helpful and are always hato please their customers. I would highly recommend this restaurant to all looking to get great Indian food, give it a try, you won't regret it. I for one will always be using this place and compliments to the chef and the team for all the great food that this place puts out 5 star restaurant all round. 👍

Visiting from New Zealand. Had a dinner with friends, it was a great experience. The restaurant had the three key elements to a great experience… good food which was tasty and fresh with good size portions, good service which was very helpful and friendly and finally good value for money. We got our first takeaway and it was quick, fresh and delicious! Generous portions, the lamb biryani was full of flavour.

Tonight was my second time at the restaurant with the same group of friends. On both occasions, the food has been very nice and served quickly. The staff also make you feel welcome and looked after and I am sure we will continue to return.

They were good throughout lockdown and now we are back in the 'new normal' world they continue to provide great food and friendly service. Their website ordering process is slick and allows you to place your order during the day for a timed collection in the evening.

This used to be a lovely little restaurant. What’s happened ? The food was a very poor standard. Pre cooked chicken that smelt odd ! Tough lamb , sauces that where really bland . It really wasn’t nice . The restaurant is looking tired and needs a makeover. It’s a shame as this was once a lovely place to eat .

Probably one of the best Indian restaurants I have ever been to, and I have eaten in a lot. I have tried a lot of the menu so far and every dish has been exceptional. The young lad on the front is really friendly and welcoming when you walk in, I can’t recommend this place enough.

I hate writing this. Thisnused to be a lovely local Indian restaurant. What's gone wrong. I took mobile there last night and, frankly, I'm amazed we're still together. The food was overly spiced, stale, tough and, frankly previously cooked and thrown on sauce. I hate complaining, especially right now. We're lucky. However, the boll was over £70 so beware. Not anywhere near as good as it used to be.

Third time unlucky. 1-ordered butter chicken got chicken korma 2- rogan was so spicy it was almost impossible to eat 3-ordered balti but got something very hit and spicy, no idea what. Never again.

This is the best traditional Indian restaurant that I've ever eaten in. The tandoor chef cooks the most amazing tandoori chicken starter. So tender, succulent and tasty. The naan bread was fantastic as well. The lamb dhansak was perfect. Hot, spicy, sweet with perfectly cooked lentil and the lamb was incredibly tender. The bhindi bhaji was fried in caramelised onion and garlic. The sweetness perfectly balancing the sharp okra. All washed down with Indian beer. Absolute heavenly food and I can't wait to go back.

We have had multiple takeaways from the Raj over the last few months and every time the orders have arrived perfectly, piping hot, so tasty and they always arrive so quickly! So impressed every time with their great service!

Away on business, so having takeways in my room. Went for a stroll and came across this Indian. Great service and amazing food....that good I went twice the same stay. Authentic and not greasy slop, including some unusual dishes with fish etc. 5 star and will definitely be eating in the restaurant when it reopens....hopefully!

I have been going here for many years and always wonder why people go anywhere else. Without doubt the best Indian restaurant for miles around. The food is amazing just like the level of service given when you were able to sit in. The standards of food has not lessened even though you can only collect or get it delivered at this time. If you haven't been before you will be in for a treat.

Called to place order as have food intolerances. Staff couldn't have been more helpful. Went through what I couldn't eat and want I would like and made a dish for me. Fast delivery and food was fantastic. Best dairy free curry I have had from a restaurant to date. Will definitely be ordering again and going in. Top customer service over the phone and delivery. Even though clearly very busy but didn't affect service at all.

Breaking a long drive from Devon to Cambridge with an overnight stay at the Premier Inn (also very good), I phoned and ordered a takeaway. Next time I do this trip I will definitely do the same! The food and service at the Raj were outstanding. Very easy to order over the phone and friendly, polite delivery 20 minutes later to the hotel. I probably over ordered with Chicken Chat, Tandoori Mixed grill and Tarka Dhal which came with a light fluffy naan and the freshest salad but it really was exceptional and I ate the lot. It will be difficult to decide what to order next time as this meal was so very good :-)

God it's good. Have been visiting this curry house for the last 19 years and have never had a bad meal. Had delivery during lockdown and the man turned up in his waiters uniform which shows the class of the place. Lovely food lovely people I di t ever want it to close!

Just had a takeaway and it did not disappoint! I ordered the chicken tikka dhansak which tasted awesome, and was just the right hotness with great flavours coming through. The naan bread was light and fluffy, pilau rice good too. Would recommend

Before lockdown, we used to go here a lot so I was very happy when I found out that take away was available. The wait time was not long at all and the social distancing and safety measures were ideal. The food was as good and flavoursome as it always is and I am sure that I will be having many more until we are able to sit in again.Definitely recommend!

Ordered a curry from the Raj last night, I am a curry cognisor and was looking from somehwere with excellent and authentic curry... The Raj came recommended and we were not disapointed, good selection of food and spices... Great colours in the curry and all round well cooked with lots of flavour...Samosa were lush and special fried rice was excellent. Keep up the good work, an excellent standard of curry, much better than many curry houses and takeaways I have been to in the area...

Since the lockdown we have been missing our eating out and have tried a couple of the local takeaways with not a lot of success but last night we ordered from the Raj via the website. Turned up to collect and made them aware I was there, Paid for the food, and was on my way in 5 minutes with a free bottle of beer thrown in. 2 minutes to home in the car and food on the plate 2 minutes later. Food was still hot and was as tasty as we could hope for (some of the other local indian takeaways seem to tone down the spices making dishes pretty bland).Summary - friendly and efficent service and very good food - will definitely go back foir takeaway and hopefully vbisit once eat-in is available again

Having been to the restaurant for a meal many times in the last 4 years we thought we would try the takeaway in these troubled times. Well all I can say is the staff must of changed what we received was frankly inedible salad was put in the bottom of carrier bag so was covered in grease,the whole meal was greasy and lacking any sort of taste . If they continue in this way when the restaurant reopens it will be empty,very sad!

Visited here a few times recently and the food and service have always been good, however, could do with a bit of TLC and Uplift as it lacks a bit of atmosphere, which I think is quite important.

Last min decision to go for a curry, wanted to try somewhere different, arrived at 7pm on the off chance, it was already busy!! Made very welcome straight away, table for 2, informed it was there special night, great result food was fantastic, service was professional, really busy, we will be back with friends ‍♀️

Came here for a leaving do as this restaurant came highly recommended by my boss. We booked a big group and we were promptly accommodated. Wide variety of food from the menu. The food that we ordered were amazing and all our food was customised as to how spicy we liked it and none of us have been disappointed. I ordered lam madras as medium spicy and it was perfect. The service was second to none and the servers couldn't do enough for us. The servings were very generous too. Will definitely be back again.

This is one of the best Indian restaurants I’ve ever eaten at. The service is lovely and very helpful. You can ask them to make things less spicy or spicier - depends what you like. My husband and I often get a take away from them and I get a free drink while waiting to collect. They remember what I drink so I don’t even need to ask about it - it just shows up in front of me! It’s great!

Staff tried to end call after I had only placed 1/3 of my order. Yes you were busy , but you need more staff maybe one to deal with phone orders. Other customers were annoyed with the problems and waiting time.

We’ve driven past this place often enough, but it was only after a friend moved nearby and recommended it that we headed over to deepest Sandhurst for a curry.

Very good value and e up for thismped but the food excellent food and service, The Ferro Roche ice cream is to die for! The restaurant is quite small and cramped but the great value food more than made up for that

Great food good service, wouldn't go anywhere else

After my last takeaway when I thought things had improved I’m forced to sort of retract that. Had a takeaway and the chicken Bhuna was a bit under par, the taste wasn’t bad but the main bit was lacking few ingredients, had about 6 pieces of chicken with a few bits of tomato and a strip of green pepper. Should be a lot better than this. Have to admit that I’m not impressed and will travel to Camberley to another restaurant for my takeaway from now on. There seems to be a disparity, one day it’s ok and then the next time it goes down hill, not something that I want to risk anymore.
