Rainbow House in Fenland

Dreadful food. Felt and tasted like week old rice, week old noodles. Tasteless rubbish unfortunately. Ordered for 6pm - was told 10minutes - turned up at 6.15pm and had to wait till 6.45pm before order was collected. Could of been a one off, but after trying once, I will not return.

I often order from here due to leading a busy life I was always recommending to people all the time however after ordering from there tonight I won't be going back. We got back from a weekend away I ordered like usual and couldn't eat it despite being so hungry. It arrived so quick (this is usual but even quicker than normal) but honestly tasted like a reheat especially the chicken curry cold mushrooms but warm chicken. I cannot confirm but this is what it tasted like. The chips so bad I had to pick some good ones out. Hard to see with the light I took but not good. I even rang up to ask if something is different as I wanted to give the benefit of the doubt as I order so regularly, maybe just a bad night to be told oil changed, it isn't that. They dismissed me said I'm the only one to say this tonight. I rang because if this was a one off, a bad night I would have still ordered in the future but to be disregarded on the phone I will not be ordering from there again and certainly won't be recommending anymore. I'm all about supporting local businesses but now won't be back and certainly won't be recommending.

The worst Chinese ever, looks horrible and tastes disgusting. End up in the bin.

This is such a lovely family-run takeaway and everything we ordered was cooked perfectly and tasted so good! My family is from Hong Kong and quite picky with Chinese food but found all the dishes to be fantastic, especially their homemade dim sum. The service was friendly and the food came out very quickly. We had heard this was the best Chinese takeaway in Whittlesey and couldn't agree more. Highly recommended!

Food was ok. Not sure why people rave about it. Was OK but certainly nothing special. Chicken chow mein was bland and chips were soggy.

Ordered from them asked to pay with card, they sent us a link that is not compatible with virtual banking app ie revolt, if you order from here please don't use virtual cards as that don't work, left disappointed and had to order kebab instead, the service was shocking and unfortunately can not comment on the food also the menu is priced different to what they have in the shop

Absolutely amazing. Ordered twice now to Upwood. Food is always piping hot, delicious and has arrived in less than 45 minutes. Puts the Chinese takeaways in Ramsey to shame!

First time trying this takeaway and definitely the last. Very chaotic and disappointing on CNY to order and be left for 50 minutes to be told - we are going to start your order now and it will be 30-40 mins. Nearly 2 hours waiting is a no from me I’m afraid regardless of how excited I was to see Dim Sum on a Chinese takeaway menu in Peterborough. I could hear all the orders being sent wrong or delayed by hours and on the whole incredibly poor communication from the whole team. Very sad about this experience.

We were spoilt with an excellent Chinese takeaway in our former home town and tried a few others in Whittlesey that were average at best. It has taken us a year to find Rainbow House and this is by far the best in town, matching and even surpassing what we enjoyed in Kent.

Brilliant hot tasty food and always quick delivery! Highly recommend! Good value for money too

This is the best Chinese takeaway we have ever used and we have used this many many times great food, great service and aways very hot when delivered We've tried the rest but this is the Best you cannot go wrong.

Fantastic, I'm visiting the area so I don't live round here. Staff - friendly and really welcoming Food.... Best I have had... Ever... Would do the 157 mile trip just for this... For those that know, egg fried rice... Better than uncle Rogers

Wow! Seriously the best Chinese ever. Food artived piping hot, within ten minutes of ordering and they even cooked me a dish that I asked for, which wasn’t on the menu. I hope this place stay at this level because I will be going back for more.

Delicious food, friendly local takeaway. Even though this isn’t the closest to us, we prefer to travel that bit extra as the food here is better than others in town. Excellent value for money.

Personally, my partner and I have had nothing but a great experience with this Chinese Take-Away since they opened. Whenever we go anywhere else we immediately regret it as we realise how stingy, sloppy or plain inconsistent other take-aways can be. The staff at Rainbow House are friendly, the food is always hot and cooked to perfection. They always manage to make every single well-loved Chinese Take-away dish perfect - every time. The food is never too dry or over-cooked and in particular the crispy seaweed was a perfect sweet and saltiness (as in, it wasn’t smothered in one or the other - thank goodness!). Clearly the chefs know what they’re doing, so I’d like to send my compliments to them! All the best from, Two very happy patrons

How some people are writing bad reviews about this place , I don't know!!!!!! I Iive in march and drove through whittlesey back from work and decided to stop there . Honestly this place hands down is the best chinese in the fens , the food is so good and the bad reviews are simply people used to eating bad chinese and thinking that that bad chinese is great, I will be getting chinese from here permantly because of the simple reason it's the best in the area !!!

Absolutely the WORST food I have EVER had. Seaweed was vile the beef curry tasted like perfume. Chips was wet and moist and the duck in plum sauce, well… I wouldn’t feed it to my dog! (If I had one)!!! AVOID AT ALL COST waste of £25 completely DISGUSTING

Below Average food which was dissapointing and then a dead fly( almost fried) shows up in one of the fried rice.
