Queens Head Frodsham in Cheshire West and Chester

Decided to go for a Sunday meal so called the pub to ask what time they will be serving food and the reply was 20.00 so said we will come at 18.00. On entering there was a group drinking so we took up a side room to ourselves and settled in. We ordered roast dinners and as we paid in 2 parties we asked all the dinners to be brought together, this didn't happen, therefore 3 of our party had nearly finished by the time the rest of the food came. The food itself I would expect from a school dinner and was very disappointed. We ordered roast dinners and the gravy actually stayed in the gravy boat and had to be scooped out with a fork. The rest of the food was very underwhelming with the Yorkshire pudding being like a biscuit and shooting across the table when attempting to cut. After eating the best we could, the younger of our table asked for dessert so we ordered at the bar and after a little wait the server tried to squeeze the plates on the table alongside the dinner plates which hadn't been cleared away. I then started to take our plates to the bar and he realised and started to clear the table. Needless to say that tonight's experience has been really poor, particularly as there were very few people in there.

Long story short, the drinks took 15 minutes to come out (although it was dead), the mugs were dirty so needed returning, the full English didn’t come with bloomer bread or Cumberland sausages like advertised and the tomatoes was raw. Also, the avocado and egg on toast cost £7.50!!! See picture. It’s so bad it’s laughable. Won’t return.

Lovely evening - good food nice ales and wonderful service. Emily and Archie in particular made our visit special.

Just had a lovely cooked breakfast (more like brunch timewise) enjoyed by the whole family including our 7 year old daughter. Great quality, proper pub grub, perfectly cooked, friendly and accommodating service. We’re lucky to have so many choices in Frodsham, the Queens Head is certainly up there at the top of the list for when you want some friendly pub grub with more of a buzz and atmosphere than the quieter restaurants. Very well set up for sports viewing with lots of TV’s everywhere including in the massive beer garden.

We have just celebrated our friends birthday here and had a great afternoon/ evening in their canopied area in the garden. We had drinks and some snacks and some great cocktails!! A special mention for Ryan who was one of the servers on the day who were so polite and friendly and served us throughout our day, so thank you! The food was lovely and highly recommend!! A great place to go to in Frodsham.

Great atmosphere. The foreign girl was very kind and attentive and made us feel very welcome. The lovely staff made us aware of the great deal on cocktails.

Had a lovely experience the food was lovely but to top off a great time at the pub was the service from the waiter called Ryan he had excellent Manners and well presented and nothing was a problem for him everything we asked he was happy to help us with. Such a credit to the pub having such a great lad working for them. Ryan keep doing your job at the great way you do and you will go far in life.

Fabulous full English Breakfast watching the women’s World Cup final. Shame about the result, fab service from Archie. Pub was buzzing well done to Toby and all the team.

My husband and I called in for lunch and was served by the most pleasant and helpful young man. He brought our drinks to our table and took our order with a smile and a chat. When our ordered arrived he made sure we had everything we needed. His name was Archie what a credited to such a lovely pub well done

Lovely food, great staff including Becky who was really good checking with my wife who is dairy free an double checked with everything for her we had starter an main each food was spot on it’s dog friendly too we visited here why staying in the glamping pods down the road. Would definitely recommend this place
