I was meeting my nephew who was flying from Heathrow the following morning, so this pub was an ideal meeting place, I contacted the pub in advance to make a booking and they said that the kitchen normally closed before the time we would arrive: however, they very kindly kept it open longer for us. The service is friendly and welcoming. It's a big pub with plenty of space. We both chose Asian options from the menu and thoroughly enjoyed our meals. The portion sizes were generous. (My nephew is an excellent chef, by the way!) Staff checked with us a couple of times that we were happy with our food. Will definitely visit again. Thoroughly recommended.

Thank you for catering for my Mother’s wake. The service was fantastic throughout. We chose The Queen’s Head as it has a very large forecourt with plenty of parking and a large garden area. We booked the garden for 30 people and Preet made organising everything very easy and straight forward. Everyone commented on the great food and how good the service was.Lawrence, Preet and all the staff were amazing. They were really attentive but not at all intrusive, whilst adhering to COVID guidelines. We will definitely be going back and would highly recommend them for any occasion.

We were overnighting in the area before a flight from Heathrow and couldn’t face a “hotel” restaurant. We did a search on Google Maps and found The Queens Head and after checking reviews decided to visit. Luckily we were there on burger night as the deal is great. £12 for a burger and a pint of an on-tap beer or ale. We both had the Classic burger with a pint of Guinness and a pint of London Pride. The burger was cooked to perfection and was served with fries (chips in the UK). We will definitely visit on our next overnight at Heathrow.

I am a a regular patron at the Queen's Head. I enjoy the atmosphere, events, food and interacting with the very friendly and attentive staff who are always very accomodating to my friends, family and I. I regularly pop in on a Sunday evening to enjoy a nice meal in the peace and tranquility of the restaurant area. This Sunday Night was an exception however. My table's experience was marred by a family group whose children should never have been allowed in a restaurant environment. The parents, two asian women (others joined later) were loud and aggresive from the off, both with their children and the staff. Once they started on the Prosecco they seemed aloof about their children's bad behaviour altogether. They actually seemed oblivious to their children running amock around strangers. It was unfair on my group and on the other customers, many of whom had children sitting with them themselves. Lawrence, the owner did approach the group but whatever message he gave them was definetely not recieved favourably. The kids were calmed but the group's demeanor to the staff changed and seemed almost hostile. It is sad that some people don't take responsibility for their own actions. Despite this the staff remained professional throughout from what I saw from afar.Another gentleman who had voiced his concerns to the parents earlier was berated by one of the mothers on leaving. The staff did apologise to all tables during there time in the restaurant and after the group had left. It was clearly an awkward situation for them. It always is when children are concerned. Their patience on the night should be commended ( I wouldn't have been able to tolerate it myself) although I think the two mothers started further discussions near the door as they were leaving with the owners, Lawrence and Preet. The children continued to behave in the same way throughout. I have to admit it is not the norm. I love my local and I can't fault the food or service provided on the night. The place has improved immensely over the past few years. I do not usually write online reviews (my regular custom speaks volumes) but felt I had to defend the pub, management and staff on this occasion to counter the dreadful womens' threats of bad ratings ignoring their own deplorable behaviour.

Although I have no complaints about the food or the waitress that was serving us I left crying and ashamed of being a parent. Their was 3 families in all, myself and my daughter my friend and her 3 children and another family from east London all the children were under 4. Yes they were excited as all children are at get togethers but nothing more than than the norm! Management approached us a man named Laurent who rather rude in what he said about the children being loud and screaming rather than pull us aside and say we have had a few complaints from customers about the noise the children are making. I am a mother of 5 and have the patience’s of a saint but the way they made us feel was we can not take our children out to eat and just have a relaxing evening! I understand this is a business so everyone is entitled to have a chilled out evening so this Laurent should of just pulled us the parents or mothers of the children to say we have had a few complaints from customers that your children are being a bit loud we would of quite simply have separated them no problems. So my advice would be if you are meeting other people with children do not attend this pub as you will not be made to feel welcomed. I have been coming to this pub for over 10 years now but I will think twice before coming with my children next time! I was literally crying as I left even some one outside asked if I was alright and gave me a tissue how sad?

I was there for last minute.com meal with kids and invited friends and family from East London and west London. As the evening progressed the staff were very unfriendly towards the children and the family members. Specially fromManagement, a member of staff called Laurent who was really rude and described the children aged 4 and below to be loud and uncontrollable. He spoke out in-front of other customers and made me as a mother of three feel very low and ashamed of having kids and taking them out to a family pub - as suggested in their profile. As I left I was in tears and felt insulted that I shouldn’t be out with them. This is discrimination against people with children under 4/5years old and especially if they are same ages and Laurent was abusive in the way he spoke tous.

Stayed at Heathrow Marriott before early next day departure and decided a 1.5 mile walk to dinner was in order and found this traditional pub. It was a Friday night and packed with holiday revelers. The manager (maybe owner?) took great care to ensure we were taken care of best as possible. Tried the "Spicy Lamb Chops" which had nice warm notes of Indian cuisine, but were not too piquant... they were excellent, cooked and seasoned perfectly. Also had to have the homemade Chicken and Bacon pie, which was also delicious. Well worth the walk to and from!

Visited the Queens Head last night for dinner. The sharer starter was ok (ish) nothing to shout about. The ribs were not as moist as ive had before. 1 1/2 hrs later we still hadnt our main course, eventually someone came over and asked if we were ready for our mains. After explaining we had been waiting a long time already, they went off muttering to themselves; no apology. The salmon was very over seasoned with salt to the point you couldnt taste the salmon. It was completely solid and a rather nuclear pink colour, dry and card board like. The vegetables were drenched with butter that had started to congeal. My partners steak was meant to be rare and came pretty much well done. Seriously steak and salmon arent difficult to cook. On asking for a refund, there was no apology and the staff didnt seem to be surprised indicating this is the norm. On leaving a table of 12 had all left their apple crumble which i was going to order as a desert; dodged that bullet!

My husband and I stayed at a nearby hotel before flying out of Heathrow the next morning and heard about Queen's Head from our hotel staff. We took a bus and were there in 3 short stops but easily could have walked there in 15 minutes. The staff was incredibly welcoming and laid back. The atmosphere is quenticential British as it is in a 400 year old Tudor style bldg. It has a beautiful garden in the back with lovely english garden flora. My husband ordered bangers and mash and loved every bite, and I ordered the Queens chicken Tikki Masala (curry) which came with basmati rice, chutney and some small round crispy cracker-like breads. It was quite spicy, but it was so delicious that I didn't mind. The portions were huge and I couldn't come close to finishing it, but I tried. I am SO happy that we found this little gem because it was the perfect way to end our London trip. I HIGHLY recommend this restaurant and will definitely come back here again if I ever make it back to London.

It is a nice pub, great patio area. The food was ok and the beer.... well it is beer it is always good. Just lacked anything special. I get that most if not all pubs in don’t wait on tables but the service when we went was not very attentive even when we were waiting at the bar to order.

On a visit to Thorpe Park, stayed the night in travel lodge the night before. Found the Queens Head using a Google search. It was a really good fine, good size portions, very reasonable price and pleasant surroundings. . . Would definitely recommend.

I have visited this pub on average at least twice a month ever since the new owners have taken over. Lawrence, Preet and his team have turned what used to be a real sticky-carpet into one of the best pubs I've ever been in.

What an excellent pub. The outside décor of beautiful hanging baskets makes the pub look very inviting and you are not disappointed when you go inside. The food this evening was amazing as were all the staff. Will definitely be back :)

What a great British Pub! Talk about great old charm The Queen’s Head was built in 1604 and according to legend on their website they were the first pub in England to be granted a spirits license. This was my 2nd time visiting this pub and I have enjoyed it so much each time. The look and feel of this place is so inviting. The fish and chips with mushy peas are very good, the portions are large and the price is reasonable. The patio looks like it was upgraded since the last time I was there and it was a great spot to enjoy the meal and great atmosphere. There is also a bar area with a fireplace and lots of additional indoor seating. Everyone is extremely friendly. Anytime I am in the area I am going to go out of my way to return. There are so many pubs to choose from, but this one just stands out.

First time in this pub and it was for an England game during the world cup - friendly staff and crowd. Very decent beer garden, ample parking and decent screens for the football. They had a special menu on for the game - I had the burger and chips and my wife had the sausage and mash - both done on a barbecue, and both very tasty. Will definitely pop back in for more football over the next season

My family and I were staying down the street at Cottage Guest House and The Queens Head was walking distance, which was great! We went there three times during our visit and the entire staff was so friendly, it felt like a home away from home! The food was great as well, but the bartenders and staff were really what kept us coming back.

We ate here on our trip to London last summer (July 2017). Our European trip this summer, the airline cancelled our return flight. So we made sure this is one of the places to eat at during the 3 days waiting for our flight back to US.

I was really happy when this pub reopened a couple of years ago as its been my local since 1993 when I moved in the area, however recently I have felt that my custom hasn't been appreciated by certain members of the bar staff. about a month ago I had to wait well over an hour for a portion of chips & was treated like I had a cheek to even comment when they did arrive the order was wrong. more recently on 'curry night' I was accused of sharing a curry with a friend I had already eaten so didn't order a meal for myself but my friend said to try the sauces with bread which I was doing I when a refill was requested the barman said we had been seen sharing the meal so wouldn't refill! I was disgusted in the manner I was spoken to as didn't feel I had done anything wrong & to made to feel as if I had done something so awful asking for a 2nd refill was hardly against what is advertised if I was asking for a 3rd or 4th refill then I might have appreciated the barman's argument. Lawrence is always extremely friendly & there is always a warm greeting its a pity the same can't be said for other members of staff.

Have been here several times , as it’s round the corner from my work - great meeting place for a few drinks , but has a lovely restaurant on the side and a beer garden in the courtyard. Full of character and the food is very delicious - everything tastes fresh and generous portions . If you are staying at one of the Heathrow hotels - well worth a quick ride in an Uber to check it out .

I'm not going to lie...was not really looking forward to more pub food on our last night in England, but we decided to go to the Queen's Head anyway. It was a bit crowded but we found a table and a menu. There was traditional pub food on the menu and a few curries and other mediterranean dishes. Hubby went to the bar to order pints and food. The kind bartender, Virenti, gave him some small tasters of the beer so we knew exactly what we were getting. He ordered the food. Virenti delivered our beers and a suggestion that we consider the all you can eat special, once monthly Curry Night menu. I'm not a meat eater so it didn't sound appealing to me but Virenti said "no problem you can have the veg curry! " There were small samples of several dishes. In addition to the curries we had flat bread, yogurt to mix into the spicy curries, chutney, rice and probably more. We mentioned that it was kind of spicy even with the plain yogurt-good, but spicy and Virenti went to the back to get us mint yogurt to help manage the spice even more. Hubby got a couple of the dishes refilled but the amount served was more than enough for me. Often when I think of "all you can eat" I think of poorly made buffet food. This was not that at all. if I had to describe it, I would say that I think someone's grandmother or grandfather was in the back making their family recipes. It was about $20 US/pp but quite a bargain for the quality especially if you're a big eater. All in all the food was great but Virenti's friendliness made the whole experience quite memorable.

The Lord Nelsonlocation-icon9-11 Enfield RoadBritish

It was busy as Mother’s Day so there was a half hour wait at the table but we enjoyed our drinks. The food arrived very hot which was great and so different from other Sunday roasts in the area. The meat (most had beef, I had pork) was excellent and plenty of veg. Tasty gravy all nicely arranged on the plate. The two mothers on our table were given a prettily boxed gift of a gin and tonic. We all agreed it was the best roast we’d had out in a long time. Very friendly staff and pleasant atmosphere. We had further drinks at a comfortable lounge area.

The Bell & Crownlocation-icon11-13 Thames RdBritish

I have been going to the Bell and Crown since 2008 so I have seen a few changes but sadly the ones that they have now are not great. It is an average Sunday roast ( hardly any chicken in the chicken roast) and the meat was dry. no sauces or others were offered I had to ask for them) lovely people working there but the management needs to step ul and look after the people who have supported the bell and Crown for a long time as well as its new customers. I was really disappointed today plus they forgot it was my birthday and my husband had to remind them. ( they knew as they had been told in advance) We won't go there again.

It's full of builders in the mornings and lets face it, they tend to know what a god fry up is. And breakfast here is very good. Nothing fancy but covers all of the major food groups - sausages, bacon, eggs, beans or whatever else you like in the morning. It's quick, generous portions and the staff are friendly. Great for a take-out too.
