Qmin in Lichfield

Excellent food, and service, 1st visit with friends, and will most definitely be returning.

Give it a miss, I paid £30 for a bowl of watery dog food.

Absolute trash. Garlic soup in a dish. Wouldn't feed it to my hedgehog!

Fabulous Indian restaurant. Went with a party of 10 & had super meal first class service. Can't fault it.

Delivery was on time which is why I gave it 2 stars however the food was awful. Huge lumps of potato in the sag aloo. The peswari naan was dreadful the worse I have ever eaten. The pilau rice was very bland. The curry was nothing more than edible

Unfortunately, there is no other way to make a comment. Ordered from lichfield eats,my dish was inedible(prawn maska), due to the excessive chilli heat, nothing on the menu to indicate this, very disappointed. Couldn't actually taste the food!

Some of the dishes advertised as medium were a little on the hot side. Apart from that the staff were attentive but not overly so, and the food was good. A bit pricey.

This restaurant is a gem, 💎,u can't fault it, they don't spare anything to make u feel special, the service is 100% and the staff are really friendly ,even the owner will come around to have a chat with u, the food is on point, with fresh ingredients and locally sourced, the atmosphere is really nice, what else can anybody want, thank you QMIN for a splendid evening, looking forward to visit again.

One of the best Indian restaurants in the West Midlands. What a fantastic team! Very helpful and Knowledgeable staff and nothing was too much trouble. Mohammed is a true gent !! Although the place was extremely busy of a Saturday night we were swiftly seated and taken care of, this place runs like a well oiled machine! Well done to the team at this long standing Indian restaurant, a true gem!! Delicious food and buzzing atmosphere ! Awesome !!

Ordering take away is the new eat in this was the best restaurant experience. I ordered take away then changed to eating in nothing was to much trouble for the waiters/staff. “Some times you have to eat at restaurant you not sure about but……let me tell you you won’t be disappointed at Qmin” “Staff are seasoned professionals with customer experience at there heart you don’t get at most restaurants I also have to give credit to the chefs who are the unsung hero’s of any restaurant food was amazing thanks.

The best customer service I have experienced in years. The manager is very friendly and does his best to give you the best service - and it was really great to see his staff making jokes with our group - both really made our night. Thank you.

Bit of a last-minute find. Not a place I would visit again. Staff were very friendly though. The chicken tikka masala did taste nice however it felt like it was warmed up in a microwave with how hot it was. The Nan bread was nice but only get a small amount But the chips smelt and tasted like they came from the burger van. £5 for a pint of coke felt a bit steep but I might be out of touch lol

Qmin is the BEST Indian restaurants in Lichfield. The food there is fresh and delicious, opted for prawn puri as a starter (picture inserted below) it was soooo tasty, I loved it. I ordered a variety of curries and I must say they all tasted amazing, fresh and flavourful! To top it all, the service was excellent!!! Deffo recommend and Of course I will be returning again!

Ordered through Uber Eats - app said it was being delivered - 30mins later rang the restaurant. They said if it’s cold reject it. It was (cold) so I rejected it. Restaurant said nothing they can do - as it’s ordered from Uber Eats. Hungry house here, badly let down by Qmin and Uber Eats - and no means of getting a refund… poor. Qmin said they do deliveries and advise people “not” to order through Uber 🤷‍♂️

We ordered as a treat, but were disappointed both myself and my partner.I had prawn buhna and my other half had lamb masala, both were swimming in water the onions were in my dish were under cooked crunchy and raw. We have eaten in the restaurant beforeand been totally satisfied but this experiencehas been the worst. It even spoilt the rice .

In town for a weekend. Chose this restaurant because of the reviews. Used uber eats. Impressed it came in a box rather than plastic bag. Chicken Patia and Sawalla. Very tasty, non greasy, good portions, free popodom. Highly recommended 👌👍

We live locally and ordered a takeaway recently - the meal was average and we were expecting a bit more - the curry sauce was a bit watery - may be dining in is a better experience - we will wait and see.

Arrived 30 minutes early due to email saying good would be ready. Should have checked before coming! Friendly lad serving, took my temperature and told me to sit and wait, however, seats not sanitised!! 3 meals ordered and every one was poor. Mozzarella chicken fish was full of water and very poor. Bhuna and masala were bland. Like having a poor stew. Very poor. Our first and last time.

Very disappointed! Picked up my order, when I got home which only took 3 minutes. There was an item missing, and everything was cold. Don’t think I’ll use them again.

Ordered a takeaway on Saturday it took 1 hour and 40 minutes to arrive. My wife has an allergy to sweetcorn and asked member of staff on ordering if the vegetable dishes included sweetcorn I was told no sweetcorn however the veg biryani and veg side dish both contained sweetcorn.also the fried rice was stone cold.very disappointed with this as I have used this place a lot of times in the past ever since they first opened.due to these problems will not be using them again.so sad.

Tables were well spaced apart and we were told to sign in, they clearly displayed the track and trace poster, and then took our temperatures. Menu was a bit limited but the food was great - only gripe was that it took a while for the mains to come out, not leaving us with time for a coffee at the end. Our bill arrived quickly at 9.40pm to ensure everyone left well before 10pm. Really good evening and we will be back.

Visited on a busy Saturday night. Staff following safety precautions such as temperature checks, masks and gloves. However we were slightly concerned with them packing everyone in with our table certainly less than one metre from others. It was also so incredibly loud we found it very hard to chat and my hard of hearing father less so which is a shame. We all enjoyed our food and service good but tables need spacing out more and acoustics need attention.

Decided after a trip to Lichfield to have a meal,randomly chose Qmin in bird street.What a great result , lovely surroundings ,spacious with first class service & wonderful food.Also huge car park just around the corner.Very high standards , clean & COVID aware definitely worth a visit , reasonable price too.

Absolutely fantastic food, first time here and inside the restaurant is lovely. Staff are very welcoming and pleasant. Collected my order and there was something missing, but they sorted it and delivered it within minutes and I was so pleased. Will definitely return, thank you!

First time to visit this restaurant. It’s hard to put into words the warmest welcome myself & my partner received. The restaurant is light & modern looking. Tables clean and glasses impeccably clean. They serve all sorts of soft drinks & alcohol too. The starters were delicious and the mains where the best outside Birmingham. The colours and individual tastes of each setting was to die for. Very authentic cuisine. I cannot state enough that they were very polite & attentive to our needs. Definitely make this restaurant our favourite. Big thanks and blessings to all at Qmin.

The food was lovely and fresh and by far the best meal we have had in a while.The staff are all so friendly and attentive even with the restriction in place the restaurant is organised and felt safe . This place is definitely worth a visit.

Excellent food and very friendly and prompt service, but no sense of being rushed. A really enjoyable experience.

We had dinner here with friends and as usual we had good service and NEARLY excellent food. One of our friends had a lamb dish which proved to be quite tough. This was pointed out however the waiter nodded and no more was said. In their defence when we paid the bill the next waiter asked how the meal had gone and when we again pointed this out he immediately revised the bill and deducted the lamb dish.

I travel a lot and enjoy good regional indian cookery. I also quite like Bangladeshi cookery as long as it is cooked well. I have recently moved back to the area and am trying to find a nearby alternative to visiting Rajdoot, Lasan or Ittyhaas in Birningham. This restaurant is not it. The eating space is exceptionally good. Very spacious, tastefully decorated and equipped. The staff are very helpful, friendly and service is good. The food is unfortunatly not up to the same level. The sauces are probably not out of a Pataks jar but the result was little better. Not by any means unpleasant but nothing which would persuade me to come back. I will search on!

The food was ok, similar to a takeaway but it took forever to arrive. It took 2hrs for them to serve a starter and main. Given that it was a Friday night you would expect to wait a bit longer but not 2 hours to serve a few starters and bring out the mains.

The food is very tasty and fresh. The Tandoori King Prawn and Mixed Grill are very recommended. The price was very reasonable as well. Great professionals, friendly and always willing to provide a great service. Would definitely recommend this restaurant for everyone.

Amazing food. The menu is extensive but if you ask for something not on the menu within reason you will be accommodated.my 2 favourite dishes are chicken byriani and chicken phal and pilau rice. I asked if I could have a chicken byriani with a phal sauce? It was no questions asked and the waiter said (of course sir no problem). When it came i thought it would be just a hot sauce but it wasn't. The chef maintained the integraty of a veg byriani sauce with the phal kick. Well worth a visit 2 3 or 4.

What a great place ! The guys go above and beyond to make sure your dining experience is exceptional. The fusion Salmon is so good !! Worth every penny. Definitely be recommending and revisiting QminI couldn’t find a place to park and they let me park right outside the restaurant .Attentive without being over bearing great friendly guys.

Went again with a group of four on a Saturday night. Excellent again , staff were polite, friendly and efficient,food generally very good and a nice ambiance all round. Only small criticism ,one dish ( chasni dharg) was totally bland and tasteless,no big deal,but when I mentioned it to a waiter,he was totally disinterested and just grinned and said " sorry sir", not really good enough,but I was not letting it spoil an otherwise excellent meal and evening. We will return.

Lovely restaurant. The food was absolutely delicious; not your standard ‘1 standard base dish and add a few different extras’ as is the case in many restaurants. The dishes tasted different and exactly as described on the menu.The staff were attentive and very friendly. The bill wasn’t extravagant either.Will definitely return again soon.

When we used to live in Lichfield, this place was our favourite haunt (we literally lived opposite!!), so for our 4th Wedding Anniversary we both agreed an overdue visit was in order.

I have always enjoyed the food here which I really cannot fault. However on my last visit there was a large party in for someones Birthday, at least 40! The noise, language and general behaviour left much to be desired, if you want to cater for raucous groups like this you should insist that they take the entire restaurant for themselves. we were not the only party to leave that night.

Visited with group of friends, first time for some of us,on recommendation of the others. Excellent evening, pleasant , helpful, attentive staff, food excellent, nicely cooked and well presented with generous portions. A little spicy for a few of the party,but that partly through their own choice and personal taste.

It has been years since I have been back to Qmin, and I really don’t know why ? Very attentive staff, The meal was delicious, piping hot and beautiful, my only complaint there was too much . Very interesting menu lots of different meals to try . Will definitely be going back .

Went here some years ago and decided to book a family doo there as its location suited everyone. reading some of the recent review seemed to be a bit mixed. in short the food was good. The menu has good variety. However there is no draught beer. Not a major issues as long as the keep the fridge well stocked which I think they would have struggles to deliver cold beer if the restaurant had been busy. Then we come to the welcome/happiness/ would you again staff attitude. I'm afraid this is where they let themselves down. They were not rude but they were also not engaging. I cant remember anyone asking if the food was good. no thank you at the end and we had to keep asking for things to happen like a drinks order for example. It simply just didn't feel like the level of care was there to make you want to go back.

We visited qmin last night on recommendation, and it did not disappoint. The restaurant had a lovely modern feel to it, with lots of space, so we didn't feel we were on top of other tables, like some restaurants. The staff were lovely and friendly, nothing was too much trouble, and we weren't rushed at all. The food was absolutely fantastic! I had one of their signature fusion dishes, and it was absolutely beautiful and so full of flavour! My husband had a lovely birthday meal, and we will definitely be back!

Visited here on a Friday night with a group of friends, the restaurant wasn’t busy and service was very good. Unfortunately, the food wasn’t so great. Nothing wrong, just nothing special and my curry lacked richness. We had a good night out, but would not rush back.

Have visited many times and have always enjoyed going to Qmin. Our last visit the food was very bland ,as if a vital ingredient had been missed out. The waiting staff were very good and exchanged our meals,the replacement was just as bland. What on earth has happened ?

Fantastic Indian restaurant! One of the best meals I've had in a long time. Food is immaculately presented and is full of flavour. Generous portion sizes for the price also. Really good service from the team, we as a family felt very welcome. Would definitely recommend for any occasion!

Had dinner on Saturday and it was superb. We were early (7:30) and it wasn’t too busy however the service was excellent and the food delicious. It is always well presented and this visit was no different. I would highly recommend it and not overly expensive

Visited New Year’s Eve. Dropped in for take away at 20.50, told to take seat. 10 mins later order taken but no name requested and no money taken. At 21.20 was asked are we waiting for a table, I said no a takeaway. Ok I’ll chase this up. Came over with bill, money taken. 10 mins later food came out. I said you have forgotten us haven’t you? Was told no, not all. Got home at 21.40, dished out meal and one party’s chicken tikka was COMPLETELY raw! Clearly we had been forgotten and then rushed order wasn’t even that busy at that time!! Put me off mine then so ended up eating rice n chips. Very disappointed NYE meal!! Won’t be coming back ever!!

Met up with friends and family for a pre-Xmas meal. The sagaloo is simply delicious. Very reasonable, too, at around £20 a head including drinks and sides. Have been in 4 or 5 times in the last 12 months and never let down. Recommend.

Dropped by on our way home from an event in Wolves, we pre reserved and though we were held up in traffic, they kept our table free. The staff were polite and the restaurant was clean and presentable, with a brilliant menu that didn't disappoint. The balti was the best I've tasted!

Ate here with my colleagues whilst at a course in the area, the food was great quality, healthy portions and polite friendly service. We all enjoyed our meal in great surroundings

Having eaten at Qmin many times I have always found the staff polite and the food to be of a fairly good standard which is why I have chosen to return on many occasions.

This is by far our favourite Indian restaurant, not only in Lichfield but for miles around. Always the warmest of welcomes and really friendly attentive service with being over the top in any way. Great Menu with all the classics and many specialalities.

Not great for large groups. Food is lovely but took a long time to come out. Messed up the bill as they allowed some party members to pay their individual bills but then wouldn't let anyone else which meant that the rest of the group ended up covering unpaid items. Service charge wasn't discussed or detailed before hand which is illegal. We refused to pay it. Asked if the group wanted poppadoms without explaining they would be charged for. I've never been to an Indian restaurant that has charged for them before.

I have attended Qmin a number of times and received excellent service and gorgeous food. However my recent trip after attending the Lichfield Garrick was not to the standards of late. My girlfriend and I felt unwelcome and judged. Do not get me wrong, the food was perfect however staff seemed fed up and it kind of ruined a brilliant night for us. We rushed our food as we were made to feel like we should leave as it was a later evening meal, even though this was around 10:20pm and the restaurant states it closes at midnight.

Very smart restaurant with attentive waiters. Delicious food. Never been charged for popadums and spices before. However chicken tikka Masala was lovely. First class service and excellent quality.

Always difficult to find a happy medium with a group of five in an Indian restaurant when you have one Vegan and one guy who breaks out into a sweat at the mention of a Korma, Thankfully the staff at Qmin can cater for all
