Q-Kurdi in Scottish Borders

We were in the mood for some stodgy takeaway and it hit the spot. Chips are great, pizza was saucy and had nice bubbled up crust. Burger good too. Was on the expensive side for a takeaway but we all enjoyed what we ordered and would go again.

Absolutely disgusting! Avoid at all costs way to expensive and food is awful! Kebab meat thin hard and dry! Chips either over or under cooked, sausage had to off been off never tasted anything so vile! And a bit off disinfectant wouldnt go a miss!! How they pass any food standards is beyond me! Need shut down not to expand!

Without question the worst kebab and pizza I’ve ever had the misfortune to order. Rude staff 3 missing items and triple the price I would expect to pay in London. Even the parts we got were awful, can’t recommend steering clear of this awful place enough

One of the worst take-aways I’ve ordered from. Food quality is extremely poor and the kitchen is disgusting. We binned our order after we picked through a couple of chips and cheese. Burnt and undercooked at the same time. Some achievement.

Over a two hour wait, two chase up phone calls, and on the second call I was repeatedly called ‘darling’ to appease me. Food arrived… it’s tepid and needed heating up, and the driver apologised, telling me he had 47 deliveries tonight.. really not my problem.

26/05/2022 husband, son and I attended for a take away we had a fantastic meal and will defo return on future holidays staff were smiling and approachable food was delicious and fresh. Couldn’t ask for any more

Chicken kebab was lovely. Delivery chap very pleasant. Food was delivered within 40 mins. Easily ordered online.

Was a regular customer until the night we ordered a chicken kebab as part of our order. the Nan bread was mouldy. Returned to the shop and was offered another one that was refused. No offer of a refund or explanation of why. They have not been in contact I would just avoid dread to think who else got one.

We were staying in St Abbs which has nowhere to eat in the evenings and this was the only takeaway we could find that would deliver and not require us to go and collect. We were able to order online and had the option to pay online or pay cash on delivery. There were food options for all and we had kebabs and burgers which went down well. The food arrived at the expected delivery time and the portions were of a good size. Would certainly use them again if we are ever saying in the area to save having to drive to Coldingham or Eyemouth for food

Ordered the 12in seafood pizza and turned out to be one of the best pizzas I’ve tasted. Base was a little thicker than i would have liked but absolutely wolfed it down . About to order another one !

Currently staying at the nearby holiday park. My family had 3 different kinds of wraps of which the they all enjoyed. I had the large donner kebab as only a pound dearer. Kebab meat was delicious with loads of salad which looked really fresh and tasted amazing with the meat. Not too little sauce as I do like my chilli sauce. I would definitely recommend this place and may even visit again before we leave. Only downside was the young grumpy and rude person on the till taking the orders who needs to buck up his attitude because everyone else seemed pleasant and he's letting them and himself down as he is the face and voice of the shop and may loose them custom. But food wins and he wouldn't stop me giving this place 5 stars for what we ate last night 👏 Sorry no photos as I was too hungry 😋

Just had a delivery to the Caravan site, after reading some reviews, I was expecting the worse, but the food arrived early. Kebab was good, with fresh salad and decent fries. I priced it up on website and should have come to £17, but was charged £20. I would have given driver a tip to round it up to £20 anyway. Dont know if driver is adding a delivery charge on. Would use them again

First order. This was a bit hit and miss. However, charged delivery and a service charge....not what we expected. shame on you

Ordered 2 donner kebabs he said 8 mins wait and could see we were in a car got the kebabs home and they were disgusting meat cold and dry the pitta bread was cold and dry and just crumpled was too scared to eat it so it went in bin worst £15 I have ever spent

This kebab shop does the most fantastic chicken kebabs. I have mine with chilli and garlic sauce. It's one of the best I've ever tasted. I find the staff to be really friendly midweek but at the weekends it's usually too busy for a chit chat. I would highly recommend this place especially for a chicken kebab.

Busy on a Saturday evening, phone never stopped when we were waiting and staff very busy. Pizza very fresh and very tasty. Kebab one of best hubby has had in a good while. Would return without hesitation

Q-Kurdi is a kebab shop. You’re going to get decent and tasty kebabs, pizzas, chips, burgers and the likes. I feel like some previous reviews aren’t written with fair expectations in mind. It’s all cooked to order on big sizzling grills, which is what you want. Having spent much time living in and visiting a variety of larger cities, the food here is easily comparable to well established city favourites with significantly more custom and traffic, so it’s impressive to get that here at home too, in my opinion. Just a shame it’s not still open at 1am to stumble into after the pub... Staff are always friendly and courteous, from the owner to the chefs to the drivers. I recommend the chicken pakora wrap with salad and garlic mayo - a recent discovery and quickly a solid personal favourite. A full meal in and of itself, and as thick as my forearm. You won’t need anything else.

Just had kebab & chips from here,the meat was absolutely disgusting & tasted like hot dogs, the chips were very salty so no salt was needed (tough if you don't like salt), salad was only cabbage & onions. Only ate the chips & some salad it was that bad, the meat went in the bin.

Only place we could really get a delivery. The food came within half hr and the gentleman that delivered was pretty awesome, very friendly and funny.The food was hot, pizzas were nice, chips were really nice. We ordered the below and paid £37Ham and mushroom pizza (medium)Margarita pizza (medium)Cheesy garlic bread (medium)2 chip wraps with a curry sauce.Everything was tasty however the garlic bread wasn’t really very garlicky.

oily chips, pizza etc, expensive not even real burger. I would do a lot better with the kebabs. They are rude. What a horrible experience. I encourage ppl not to go there, if anyone think there food is nice, it would be ppl they know and those who work there leaving 5 stars. I wouldn't even give a minus star.

ordered a pizza and chips came within 20 minutes and they gave us a massive bag of chips for free very nice of them lovely food

Been a regular customer at Q kurdi Grill because the food at this shop is always fresh and well prepared also food quality and portions both were great.I like Chicken Shish Kebab and ordered several times and another good point is the delivery service was on time and kind.Highly recommend for who loves kebab.

Based on a friend's recommendation I tried this place for the first time. I ordered Lamb shish kebab & I did wait for a while but it worth the wait. really delicious. highly recommended

yesterday I ordered online lamb shish kebab on my way back from work, the delivery guy got there before me, he was such a kind person, food was hot and amazing.

This place is disgusting. The kebab meat is grey and smells off and the salad is wilted lettuce,nothing more. The sause is shop bought and the food is certainly nothing that resembles the pictures. The large only meant i got half a tray of lettuce fit for the bin. The pakora is frozen then grossly over fried. Which also does not come with sauce, as they have never heard of this.... Also only three pieces. They want to hit you for 60p for 25ml of shop bought chilli sauce. Would never go back and would never recommend. As i think wasting food is wrong. Although this muck is hardly food at all. The local girl who served me was more than polite and nothing to do with the food. The other staff were rude,inept and would be better suited sweeping a street. Wake up Eyemouth you are being robbed. This insult cost £14 for what you get,that is a joke. Peace.

I moved to 6 Market Pl Street last week and I ordered an Onion & Mushroom Pizza from this place. The staff was very helpful & answering my questions and the pizza well cooked. It was great!!

Ordered a mixed kebab with salad. Bah! Don’t be deceived by the photos to promote the place. The salad was lettuce and nothing else. The kebab meat was grey. Ten pounds and it went in the bin. Staff need to go on a customer service course to learn some manners

Wir aßen Pizza und Zwiebelringe hier schon dreimal (ziemlich selten für uns! ) . . . . . . . . . . Das Essen war wirklich gut, und die Leute waren sehr hilfsbereit. Der einzige Nachteil ist, dass man Sie nicht dünn Kruste.

We ordered a meat pizza from this takeaway half way through our holiday and we have never been so ill. The pizza was average but 3 of us were so ill with vomiting and diarreah we had to leave our holiday early. Would never eat from here again.

Ordered a home delivery from Kurdi Grill, which we have done countless times before. 45 minutes later the phone went and by the time we got to it they had rung off. Phoned back to get answer phone and looked out the window to see driver leaving. It appears that home delivery means you have to walk out to the car to pick it up. When we eventually did get the food and questioned their delivery methods we were told they are busy. Oh and the food was stone cold. Wont be recomending them nor using them again.

Fairly ordinary pizzas it's fair to say..... However on the plus side if you would like a glimpse into the post-Brexit, apocalyptic, hyperinflation future that lies ahead ....... simply visit this takeaway for a £10 pizza. You're welcome

We live in Eyemouth and have tried all the takeaway within. For different reasons and by recommendation we tried Q'kurdi Grill.

i was in Eyemouth last week and i stop for dinner, i had donner kebab and chips. food was outstanding and hot. i wish i can try this fantastic meal again highly recommend

here is one of my fave takeaways in the area. always had a fabulous meal from this lovely wee shop that runs by a friendly manager and staffs. fresh n high quality food, on time delivery and reasonable price for large portions. what else do I need to ask for? totally recommended.

Best takeaway in Eyemouth. The chicken kebabs are amazing. Lovely fresh salad and sauces. Staff are very friendly too.

I've been a few times with owning a caravan locally and its always been a bit hit and miss but the last time was horrendous. I ordered a mixed kebab, chicken and donner meat with salad and garlic sauce and collected it from the shop. I got to my caravan and opened it to reveal a big greasy clump of soggy pita bread, old salad and garlic sauce smeared all over it with some meat hidden inside. It looked disgusting but I was hungry so I started to pick my way through it trying to find the bits I could actually eat. After a few minutes i uncovered raw pink chicken and was disgusted with what they had served me. The chicken was clearly raw and I immediately stopped eating as I felt sick to my stomach. I rang the shop and raised my concerns with the man who answered. He was argumentative about what I was saying and rudely demanded that I returned the meal straight away, I declined due to the fact that I was going out but agreed to return it the next day at 4pm. I then asked him for his email so I could show him exactly what I was saying but he said they don't have one. I then said he would be able to see the pictures of the raw chicken on the internet and he then hung up on me. I will never return here and urge others to do the same for the sake of their health and food safety. The customer service is diabolical and the food is vile. Plus they had the audacity to charge me £9.00 for this crap. Please avoid at all costs because this place needs to be closed down. They don't even have an up to date food safety hygiene certificate either, look at the photographs and decide for yourselves people.......

Nothing special here, but probably to be expected, finished work to late to eat anywhere else , run of the mill pizza , my co worker had a special kebab rather pricey when he didn't eat it at around £11.50 , said the meat was tougher than his boots , my pizza box was saturated by the time we got back to the hotel with grease , 5 min walk ,

Ordered the family meal, they tried to charge me an extra £5 to have our salad and sauce separate! Unbelievable. To add insult to injury when we got back with the order, the chips were missing and the portion sizes were absolutely miserable. This place is a rip off, avoid it at all costs, they just seem to prey on the tourists hoping to make a few extra quid.

Went in while visiting Eyemouth and what a disappointment! Staff were rude, arrogant and didn't wear gloves or wash their hands when dealing with raw and cooked meat. As for the kebab it was greasy and the "salad" appeared to be a week old!

I was appalled when we ordered our meal the way it was cooked . The guy was cooking our mixed kebab meat .as well as cooking raw meat with the same tongs . He then began to cut our cooked meat with the knife he had cut the raw chicken. After watching this appalling cooking. The delivery man came into the shop started making pizza WITHOUT WASHING his hands .... "disgusted" . As we were on holiday just took the meal but it went into the bin as we were both shocked that this could happen did not want to risk to get salmonella. NEVER VISIT THE SHOP AGAIN.

Yuk leave the pizza making to the italians or even Domino's a seafood pizza had three pawns and a few anchovies and onions on top of a greasy dough and thick greasy cheese that was never mozzarela more like cheap white cheddar sorry it was disgusting

We ate pizza and onion rings here on 3 occasions (quite rare for us!). The food was really good, and the guys were helpful. Only negative is they don't do thin crust. Open 3 till 11, except Fridays and Saturdays when it's 3 till midnight.

Placed order at 18:35 and told delivery would be 19:20. Rang at 19:40 as food hadn't arrived and was told driver just left. Order arrived 19:50 and on opening, I found chips, garlic bread and chicken kebab cold. I immediately rang to complain and was told "sorry, you can have it free next time".........nice gesture but doesn't really solve the problem I have now! Only the donner kebab was edible without reheating in the microwave.

Well can't believe they don't even answer the phone, it does say on their website that they are open!!! You would think they would be looking for customers if you go by the reviews they have.

Looks like the only kebab shop in the village, I ordered a large kebab and afterwards was still hungry! This shouldn't be considering its the cheapest meat on the market! My large kebab was a small compared to anywhere else. Would not go back!

Decided to order some food whilst staying at a local caravan park close by. Phoned our through at 6pm and was told 20 minutes wait. I also specifically said to ask the driver to ring me when he got to reception and I would come and get the food. At 6.45pm no phone call so I rang to be told he had left 'ages ago' and she would ring me back. When she did she told me that he had been there for at least 30 minutes. So I went up asking why he hadn't rang me but he claimed he had. I asked if the food was cold and he said no its been on ' the backseat'. Then he asked if I had the exact money as he had no change and I said only £15 in notes, now the food came to £14.10 and I asked for my 90p change as there was no way he was getting a tip to be told ' no change'!! Got back to find the whole lot was stone cold so I rang up to complain and to be fair the manager did offer to replace the meal but I said I wanted my money back. He did try to say that his driver had showed him his phone with my number on it but there was no call at all. So the next day I went in and got half a refund as we did eat the food after warming it up in the microwave but it wasn't very nice. To sum up we will not be going back here again as it was an absolute joke and there are better places to eat close by.

Went in here as I'm a fan of the old kebab so wife got a chicken and I got a donner. All I can say is this is the healthiest kebab shop ever that's because the portion sizes were inadequate. 5 small bits of chicken and salad the size of my fist. And I'm afraid the donner no better. The chilli sauce was a squire from a container you get from a b and m. And I said 3 times no garlic and guess what yip....... smothered.

Arrived in Eyemouth late on a sunday night, hungry.

We chose the special kebab and we were advised that one portion would be sufficient for two people how right they were. Plenty of chicken and a really fresh salad with plenty of fresh chillies supplied on request. Chips as well!

I used this quite often in the past but standard of food has really slipped. Staff shud not play with there hair while serving at counter

we were so pleased with this little find! My son was delighted that he would finally get a halal burger!! It was amazing to see his face when he was eating it.

good was okay yet dry the burgers are thin and tasteless, more like cardboard. When hungry one can eat it. The chips are bad, not fresh which is another let down. Pizza's need to have more fairer amounts of topping and finally listen to customers request as to the way cooked. Not soft soggy dough base wanted well done. Avoid.

Great food not short on portions friendly helpful staff. Great value great service. Fast service no complaints I can think of.

Excellent food for low prices. Very genorous portions of Donor kebabs. Kids loved the pizza. We were staying on the nearby holiday park and had the food delivered. Would definitely recommend this take away.
