Pyke 'N' Pommes in Derry

The food is amazing!!! Like deserves so much recognition. The bus is amazing also ahaha so nice looking over the water and relaxing. The main thing about this place is the staff. They are so friendly, up for a laugh and will speak away to you. Part of the reason we go back here.

Simply amazing - 5 star tacos! Wish we had this place down south 😟 highly recommend a visit if you are in Derry city.

This was genuinely one of the best burgers I’ve ever had, and I’ve had a few! I also had a fish taco which fresh and light. I’ll be recommending this place to anyone coming to the city!

The food in this restaurant is first class! Other than 2 or 3 dishes on the menu they could adapt the dishes for my dietary requirements. I got a beef brisket taco to start and a burger with fries for my main and both dishes were superb.The staff were very helpful and informative and any dietary questions they were unsure of they double checked with the kitchen. My partner doesn't have any dietary requirements and he really enjoyed his meal as well.Cannot recommend this restaurant more. Will definitely be returning soon.

Love it! Always make the effort to get a trip to either Pyke N Pommes locations for some fresh, great tasting local food. The drinks selection is also brill in the Strand Road location. Great atmosphere in both.

Took my team here ~15 people for lunch before the xmas break up. We sat in the upper deck of the bus which was great on a cold Dec day. The food menu is short but a good variety to keep all but the most picky happy. All left full and happy. We had different burgers and all were very happy.

Lovely food, great atmosphere and helpful staff. The only downside was that it was freezing on the bus but this was something we should have considered given the time of year. Great prices and lovely vegetarian options. Would definitely recommend

Well worth a visit, very tasty . Nice decor, friendly staff ,good service. If you're really hungry go for the 3 taco deal. I had two , both vegetarian . Very filling and full of flavour. The goats cheese one quite spicy . Will certainly return !

This is a great addition to the Quay and the double decker bus is well heated, the service is fast and the food is excellent, very fresh food! Always visit here when in the area and I would highly recommend.

A friend recommended this to me while I was staying in derry. A real find just out of the city centre, down by the waterfront in a burger fan and converted double Decker bus for seating. We got a jalapeño burger, a fish taco and beeb taco and they where some of nicest, freshest tacos I've ever tasted, and I've been to Mexico! Outstanding, and at £2.50 for taco Tuesday unbelievable value for money. Bravo boys and girls. Derry is a long way to go for a taco and burger like this but might just be worth it.

This place has a nice relaxed atmosphere and great service. My Daughter an I had lunch here on Saturday around 13:30,it was quite busy but we where seated right away. We both had the Legenderry burger with fries. The Wagu beef was first class, cooked medium rare and soo juicy and full of flavour. Burger is priced at £7.50 worth every penny. Their drinks are a bit over priced, but overall well worth a visit. Would go back.

Really enjoyed our meal and cocktails. Atmosphere buzzing, service great, front of house more than welcoming and some very very tasty dishes. Barbequed watermelon! Wagyu beef patties! Chipotle and cashew nut salsa. Just Wow!

Just ate at Pyke n Pommes and it was faultless. I had the fish burger and fries. My husband had the Legenderry burger and fries. Both meals delicious and under £8 each. Service was quick and friendly. We ate on the bus which overlooks the Foyle which was definitely something different. Only thing missing was some music. This place is worth visiting.

We visited this great little food outlet based on the positive reviews they had and I can say that it lives up to to its deserving reputation.

We stopped off here on the way to Donegal. I found it on trip advisor because other people had submitted positive reviews. I was not disappointed. I didn expect it to be half as good as it was and as today was Taco Tuesday all tacos were only £2.50 so between me and my fiance we had 4 different tacos and a burger meal between us. With drinks it came to only £19 for us both and the food was as high a standard as any top restaurant IV been to.

This was our first visit but it won’t be our last. My Wife & I got a table on Friday evening without having to book. Christine who served us could not have been more helpful & friendly. The food was outstanding. We shared the sea bass platter which was chargrilled and served on a bed of coriander, homemade coleslaw, chillis accompanied by a number of tasty dips. To finish we shared a homemade pistachio ice cream. A great meal and very reasonable for the quality of food.

Very good place in general and an especially good maitresse d' (sorry if that's sexist in this day and age but I am 70+) who looked after us very well on a crowded Wednesday night. Food great and prices excellent but a wee bit too much salt on the fries - why do all chefs do this? - and music a bit loud, but then again that's probably an age thing. Big thumbs up to the staff in general.

Street food at it's best. No fuss restaurant with very pleasant and efficient staff. Went midweek and it was on the quiet side. Opted for one of their burgers and it was simply delicious. Had a cocktail and a local craft beer which complimented the burger. One of the company had the fish and never shut up about how good it was all evening. Dont expect a fancy menu but do expect a great burger in a nice atmosphere, perfect for those who are not too complicated.

Ate in here for first time, after checking TripAdvisor, will be back. Went on web page, an amazing journey. Waited on by Cindy, she very switced on and pleasant. The menu was amazing, so different. We had BBQ 'd watermelon really refreshing with chilli , mint and feta cheese. Will be trying that when we get home. Reasonably priced. And clean toilets. Well done and good luck.

Called into Pyke'N' Pommes on a sunny afternoon. This is a quirky place by the River Foyle. The menu offers an interesting and tempting range of food options which I struggled to choose from. Having settled for the tempura squid and a beef taco for my wife we sat outside in the sun wait. In no time at all our food was ready. The portion sizes are good but the flavours and the freshness of the ingredients were outstanding. I love my food and I can honestly say that the squid was simply amazing. Perfectly cooked with just the right combination of flavours.

This restaurant is small but oh so cute. Staff is excellent and it only got better from there. I was resistant to getting just a burger for dinner but was pleasantly surprised. Our appetizer was roasted cauliflower with tahini and harissa. This is the best cauliflower we ever ate. To tell you the truth I don’t get that excited about cauliflower but this was different. Moved onto the hamburger which was made from wagyu beef and delicious toppings. Fries were absolutely perfect. They offer beer, wine and cocktails. Go go go and try it. Back in the States now and missing that burger.

Went here with my son at last minute had the burgers and chips I had the chicken one when it was served I said omg how am I going to finish that but I did chicken cooked perfectly the bun that it was in was delicious found it hard finishing it very filling indeed will be back price reasonable very busy place had to wait for 10 minutes

We got into Derry quite late on Sunday night, and after walking a bit around town we stumbled on P n P. What a find! The vibe is great.. more like a LA modern cafe in lighting and decor, but the customers were a mix of families and couples. The servers were just so friendly and helpful, and we had a burger and the squid box. Both were delicious, the burger was rare as requested, and really tasty, you can order the "fries" for an extra quid, which we did. The squid were like thin fries, but the surprise was the great slaw underneath... So we had surf and turf, and the side of greens. Perfect for a light meal,.

Great use of outdoor space to eat by the beautiful river Foyle with seating sheltered from the elements and now offering the novel option of sitting inside a double decker bus . Always a satisfying and fun dining experience of eating excellent street food .

Called in on Saturday afternoon for a bite to eat. The place was packed with people and smells of amazing food. After a 5 mins wait we were sat order taken and food arrived after 10 mins. Fresh, flavoursome and good value.

Tried the new restaurant on Saturday night after having been a fan of the set up on the Quay. Staff were so friendly! Each were really helpful, chilled out & friendly despite it being busy. Nothing was too much trouble & they didn’t get stressed. DJ played in the background but it wasn’t too loud, we were sat close by him yet could hear each other talk easily, and it really added to the atmosphere. Food and cocktails were the stars of the show, just wow. Well done folks - fresh, filling and incredible flavours. 2 mains and 2 drinks for £30’ish which is so reasonable for a Saturday evening. Will both return and recommend. Good luck folks! ✌️

Had meal on the double decker bus with daughter and grandchildren (1yr & 3yr olds). Very different dining experience, quality of food was good, staff very helpful. Seating space bit on the tight side but that’s part of a different dining experience

Tried out the new restaurant on the strand road, as usual very good food. However somewhat surprised at £28 for 2 burgers and 2 drinks at lunch. May stick to the bus in future.

Can never fault the food here, can always trust anything they come up with will be amazing! Try the tacos carne asada and squid are my personal fav!!

Went here after a beautiful walk in Donegal, with walking buddies, the street food restaurant is located on the river front in Derry, great location, they have now purchased and refurbished a double decker bus as art of the street food experience, food excellent and attentive care from friendly staff, highly recommend here

Gran fan de Pyke 'N' Pommes en el muelle durante los últimos años. Well situated on banks of Foyle. Superb food much better than some local restaurants we have been to and an ideal stopping place for cyclists.Will be back as soon as legs recover.

Decent vegetarian burger with homemade slaw and fries (fries over salted though ). Really lovely setting but we found parking nearby a bit confusing. Only downside was the coffee wasn’t great.

One of the best burgers in the country comes out of the hatch by the foyel, well done Kiven and team. Just love the bus as a seating area too. A welcome addition for the cold winter days in Derry.

We were in Derry for a few days and went twice! first time we had the Burgers ,i had the Jalapeño burger which was delicious and my wife had the chicken burger and declared it was the best she has ever had! when i told the owner he informed me that the chicken burger is soaked in buttermilk and spices for a day and a half !! So moist and tasty.

Situated nicely by the River Foyle with an excellent selection on the menu, all restaurant standard and local produce. The new addition of the double decker bus adds a bit of quirkiness not seen anywhere else in the North West.

Stopped here with my husband for a bite to eat at lunchtime and OMG it was the best food we have had in Derry . We have found lots of places that do good food but Pkye and Pommes was unreal . My husband had the chicken burger and I had the jalapeño burger. My husband swears with was the best chicken burgers he’s ever had the food is very fresh and full of flavour .

you could be eating anywhere in the world .its right at the quayside and has a lot of footfall .These have done a fab job and effort turning this area around and deserve a slap on the back

Visited with my wife recently on the back of TripAdvisor reviews. How they make such good food in a tiny kitchen and serve it in a bus is beyond me but it is totally epic and I will definitely be returning.

I visited Pyle and Pommes with family for a quick bite. It was such a nice place I returned a few days later on a date with my girlfriend. The food is fantastic and reasonably priced for the high quality of gourmet street food. I was a big fan of the movie Chef and this reminded me of it. The menu has burgers/ tacos/ fish and the taste combinations are excellent the menu is very well thought out and prepared. A converted double decker bus which is lit up at night with large fairy lights turns it into a very romantic little venue by the river. The staff are very friendly and it is very busy, so they call your order number over a speaker if you are seated in the bus. I couldn't fault this place and will definitely be making use of their customer loyalty card.

WOW WOW WOW.Visited here Saturday with 2 girlfriends for lunch following a recommendation from a local friemd3 and must say this place is cracker quite a blowy day we walked down from the city hotel a 5 min walk and queued for our food a great choice we had the p I g in flatbread while 1 of us had the veggie burger wat a treat sitting in the bus place is real clean with each table being cleaned as soon as customers had left quality of food was right up there with our hotel food which was twice the price but we preferred this place more wat a little gem on the waterfront the chips on the side were ample amount with our wrap we were left full up excellemt place to visit

As I was reading past reviews of Pyke ‘N’ Pommes, I was expecting a nice meal in a cute little setting next to a food truck. Guys, the best reviews of this place do not even do it justice! This isn’t your run-of-the mill food truck experience. First of all, the food will rock your socks. My husband had the Legendary Burger with fries, and I had the fish taco and squid taco. They were AWESOME SAUCE. To be honest, I still regret not going back for a second squid taco (insert sigh of disappointment). Now, let’s talk about atmosphere. This place nailed it. You have plenty of outdoor seating that is covered for those unexpected changes in weather. The best part? There is indoor seating as well. “What kind of indoor seating?” you may ask. Well, I’ll tell you. It’s a bus. That’s right! A vintage double decker bus that’s been remodeled into a diner! It’s the bees knees! Not to mention, it’s right on the water. Lunch and a view? Yes, please! To say we can’t wait to go back is an understatement. This place is easily our favorite place to eat in Derry.

I was cycling along banks of the Foyle when i came across Pyke an Pommes. The glorious autumnal weather helped as everyone was eating on benches outside. I enjoyed the squid, beautifully cooked with a spicy slaw. Will definitely aim to stop again when on the bike.

Excellent tacos and burgers with fresh ingredients and creative twists. There are vegetarian options, along side great fish and meat. Pyke N Pommes was laid-back but quality, and was probably our single favorite meal during our whole trip to Ireland!

Not sure what all the hype is about, but this was a solid burger at a reasonable price. Covered seating available outside the container on the waterfront. Busy, but prompt and friendly.

Situated along the River Foyle the Pikes 'N Pommes is street food at its best. A little pricey but excellent quality. I suppose you get what you pay for. Can get very busy so allow time to savour the flavour.

La hamburguesa era exactamente 6, sin adornos ni ensalada. Una pequeña botella de agua era 1. En general, puedo regresar y probar algo más ya que el menú es interesante pero limitado. No solía comer una hamburguesa, pero la única comida ligera era el taco con calamares o pescado, que en realidad no quería. Creo que es un poco caro para lo que era.

I cently paid a visit to Pyke "N" Pommes, if you want one of the best burgers and Chipe this is the place , they are fantastic, friendly staff, I would definitely recommend a visit.
