We had the pre starter taste of Bombay which was not only wonderfully presented, but full of wonderful flavour and Pathra Chaat, again so tasty. You can tell the ingredients are fresh and everything is prepared freshly. We also had mango lassi which my son wanted & they obliged. Swapnil was very friendly and attentive. Mains we had daal makhni and butter paneer masala , again which they obliged as we are vegetarian. Again both so well balanced and delicious. Had a good chat with Faheem after we finished , with my son Ishaan. Will certainly come back again. Thanks guys

Called in after an evening game for a late night curry fix. A large birthday party on but a table was found for me. Despite the large party my service was still very good and my main course a memorable lamb dish. Nothing left as it was all mopped up with a decent naan.Highly recommended.

Their food is delicious, however ordering a delivery is completely hit and miss. It’s happened too many times to be a co-incidence. They don’t answer the phone, the delivery rider is there waiting for ages…and then utter chaos ensures as the delivery driver aborts… I’d love to recommend, but we’ve had too many Friday nights starving at 10pm. Use for delivery at your peril.

The delivery driver was late! When the food arrived it did not taste nice. The food needed to be reheated. I called the restaurant twice to find out where my order was, they were very helpful. However I will not be ordering again.

This must be one of the best Indian restaurants in London and deserves a better location than being alongside the Fulham Palace Road-New Kings Road junction. Run by an Indian couple from Maharashtra with experience in Taj hotels, the food is original, carefully spiced and delicious. Speak to the helpful manager/owner Maheen if you can when choosing what to order. The tandoori duck and dal makhani were specially good, also halibut (not on the menu now), murgh khatta pyaaz, and street food starter

This is stunning authentic Indian food that an Indian would love .The food is clean and not greasy .So rare to find an Indian restaurant in London that really serves authentic food .I ordered the Haryali Murg,Saag Paneer ,and simple Tara Dal .The food was delivered with some freshly made papads …yum!

The atmosphere was tense, we were the only ones in there on a Wednesday. The food was firstly very overpriced for what it was. Belgian beers are typically £4 in bars due to the low volume but they were around £6 in here which is London but the mains were also £15-20.We both ordered chicken tikka which we knew would have no sauce but it really lacked flavour honestly and the restaurant boasts its chef. We felt watched the whole time and it felt off. The service was fairly unaccommodating.

I used to come to this restaurant when it was called the Indian Cottage and hence was a tad nervous about visiting it in its new guise despite it having been there for some time now. In short this was an excellent evening out with my sister. The service was efficient but the food was outstanding. It is NOT your typical Indian with a menu longer than your arm but a short concise menu with a limited choice making it easier. You will also not find your usual typical Indian food here but something a little different and interesting. This was a proper experience and a proper NEW experience. I cant wait to go back. Comfortable seating and a clean uncomplicated interior. Check it out.

Faheem and his team are the best! I hadn’t seen my family in London for the past 2 years due to covid and wanted to send them a celebratory dinner takeout on our festival day. They were extremely gracious to take in all my requests over email and even arranged for delivery which was out of range from their normal service. The food was delicious and service was A++. I couldn’t recommend them more.

We visited Pure Indian Cooking after having been impressed by their takeaways during lockdown. The menu offers a varied selection of authentic dishes and even has the option of a tasting menu, which we’ll have to try next time!The service was excellent and thanks to some detailed descriptions regarding ingredients and spices, assisted greatly in our choices. We opted for the sharing platter to start which gave a great taste of many delicious starters including chicken tikka, paneer, squid and seekh kebab. This was followed by a mangalorean chicken curry and a lamb shank gosht. The chicken was creamy and delicately spiced and the lamb was incredibly tender in the most deliciously spiced sauce. Every dish we had was absolutely incredible and as the great service matched the food, this restaurant has immediately become our ‘go to’. We are local, but this place is worth travelling for!

My wife and I both ordered Lamb Sukke and asked for nice and spicey and medium heat. The lamb was soft and delicious, cut with a fork and the generous helping of sauce was perfect for heat, spice and fantastic taste. To accompany were Bangan bharta and Lsooni Palak (smoked aubergine and spinach bhajis). Both were generous and lovely mix of spices, subtle and inviting, very Moorish. Top it off with a generous helping of Saffron Pulao rice way enough for two and some free poppidoms and it added up to a real treat on a cold summer's night.

Second time in here for a meal and enjoyed it just as much as the first time.The food is flavoursome and tasty and a varied menu to what we normally see in Scotland’s Indian restaurants.Amazing mango lassi but really need a plastic straw not a paper one as it’s so thick the straw goes soggy.Asked for a well done naan which didn’t arrive but the curries were superb I can’t speak highly enough of these. Would recommend here and I’ll be back next time I’m in London!

Recently ordered a Paneer Makhani and a Butter Chicken takeaway. The sauce I can only describe as a Tomato and Mascarpone pasta sauce or Heinz tomato soup. It even had Basil in it! Both dishes had the exact same sauce which should not be the case as they are completely different curries. Having been to India and eaten in many Indian restaurants around the UK regularly, this food does not resemble an Indian curry. The audacity to try and pretend this isn’t a packet sauce is quite frankly shocking. There were no Indian spices in both meals and they would have been better suited in an Italian restaurant (with pasta instead of rice!) I will not be ordering from here again. Very disappointing.

I love this restaurant for the food and excellent service. Owner and staff are very enjoyable and competent as provide real Indian recipes. I can definitely recommend you not to miss pistachio chicken course. Super stars!

Great as always, and despite the many difficulties of this year and our partial 'lockdown' the menu evolves constantly. Excellent service and very well-chosen beers including Harviestoun Schiehallion and oak-aged Innes and Gunn.

The Pure take away came in non reusable boxes with a film lid which can’t be recycled. This has definitely put us off ordering from here again. we were staying near by and by chance called in at 6pm. We were told they needed the table back by 7.30 as they were fully booked - no problem. It wasnt until we had ordered drinks, did we realise there was nothing on the menu that we actually recognised!However the very helpful waiter explained the dishes to us. I had a lamb curry, cant remember the name, but spicy and delicious. Hubby had the chicken which he also enjoyed.we would definitely recommend this restaurant and when we passed later, it was indeed full!

Disfrutamos de una cena a mitad de semana en Pure Indian Cooking; Muy buenos sabores y platos muy bien presentados.Lo primero es lo primero, este no es el restaurante indio de la corrida del molino; el menú está bien pensado con especialidades de la casa y niveles de especias "como viene" como y "condimentado para acentuar mejor los sabores". No puede pedir ningún nivel de especias con ningún tipo de alimento, hay una indicación de si el pescado es 'normal' o 'picante' y la solicitud del personal (tuve una buena conversación con el camarero que me evaluó los niveles de especias y mejoró) ellos para mi).Todos los platos estaban muy bien presentados, estaban buenísimos (gracias al entrante de camarones Andrea, el pollo sureño de especias medianas y el pollo mangaloreo muy cremoso)

Superbe découverte ! Les plats sont savoureux et très joliment présentés, les épices sont bien dosées (ça picote mais on a pas la bouche en feu). Le service est très bon : assez rapide (j’y suis allé pour dîner) et faisant l’article sur les différents plats et sur la chef qui œuvre en cuisine. J’ai bien aimé la décoration, moderne et colorée tout en étant sobre. Les prix sont plus élevés que dans un fast-food mais la qualité de la prestation n’est pas comparable. Je recommande ce resto, même pour un repas d’affaires.

Primero tuve que pedir un vino, bueno, bebimos un vino tinto indio por primera vez en nuestras vidas y tengo que admitir que es una gran bebida a los 27 años: Grovers La Reserve Cab Sauvignon y Shiraz, un gran bocado de vino. Así que tuvimos un plato bellamente vestido con tres vieiras perfectamente chamuscadas con pachadi de ralladura de lima y remolacha roja. . . Ya estábamos en una nube. Ninguno de los predecibles habituales en el menú, en cambio, opciones innovadoras y absolutamente deliciosas.Raramente he experimentado una cocina tan buena, y es la más cercana a la cocina india real (como la cocinada en India) que he encontrado en el Reino Unido. ¡Los chefs han trabajado previamente en restaurantes con estrellas Michelin y se nota! Sin duda volveré.

Just Eat was even worse - the restaurant didn't close out the order so Just Eat told me to keep calling them and calling them and demand they close it so they could see the order. After about 10 calls still nothing, then Just Eat just ignored it. Waste of money.

We recently hosted a Livery Company wine tasting and indian buffet at our London Cru winery.

Brilliant Indian food close to Putney Bridge. I throughly recommend the sharing platter to start; some really innovative twists that I’ve not seen on an Indian menu before! All three curries were fantastic also and the service was great throughout. We will definitely be revisiting.

Having ordered takeaways from here from a number of years we visited the restaurant for the first time and it was so disappointing. The restaurant was filled with delivery drivers wearing motorbike helmets and you could tell the restaurant was so busy with takeaways that they weren't giving any attention to those eating in. It took 30 minutes from arriving to received soggy poppadoms which we sent back only to receive the same ones heated up - still soggy. The third round of poppadoms had to be sent back and we suggested they just bring the starters but unfortunately these were cold. We left at this point as it was clear they were too busy to give us any attention. The manager was extremely apologetic and wanted us to stay promising he would sort it out and we would receive our mains with no issues but we declined and left to go to another local Indian which was much better. A real shame and I hope it was a one off.

went here for the first time to celebrate our son's birthday. We don't live in London and had not heard of this place before. It really deserves the five stars I have given this small restaurant. If you want the standard Indian fare you get in most Indian restaurants then this is not really the place for you. The menu here is imaginative, original and extremely well prepared. My halibut curry dish and the creamy spinach side was fantastic. Service was excellent and our waiters and waitresses could not do enough to make us feel like we were the only ones in there. Well done Pure. One day, all Indian restaurants will be like this although probably not in my lifetime.

As a regular diner in this fabulous Indian restaurant, I am now enjoying working my way through the fabulous new dishes that Head Chef, Shilpa, has devised for the menu. Try the Stone Bass with Mussels and Samphire pakora, Orange and Tamarind Chicken and the new sauce that replaces the Prawns (massive ones!) in the masala dish, Lamb Sukke with spinach and the scallops - food heaven!

Starter with patra chat, orange & tamarind flavour chicken tikka which was a delicious invention by the restaurant chef. Lamb curry with Naan; I am not a big fan of naan but this was something different. Chicken Biryani and Lamb sheek kebabs were my kids favourite dish. Chef Shilpa is adding new flavours to the Indian dishes which blends in all the spices together to create a new authentic indian dish. Each and every dish we tried was delicious with new flavours. I am a big fan of Indian food and pure Indian is one of my top rated Indian restaurant. Excellent service by all the staff from the restaurant on the floor specially Fahim who suggested us the best dishes to try as per our taste and Ali who booked a table for us in the restaurant. Thank you for the delicious food, we will definitely come back to try different dishes next time.

Amazing tasty food (perhaps some dishes unique?) and any questions you may have before ordering are answered by knowledgeable and attentive staff. The relaxed and friendly ambiance added to the occasion.

What an absolutely fantastic restaurant. The food was absolutely stunning, the staff were excellent and very knowledgeable about the food, it was lovely to be given so much information about the dishes and their origins. We found the restaurant on our first of 3 nights staying nearby and loved it so much we went back for the next 2 nights! We’re already planning a reason to come back again!

Stunning food. I eat s log of Indian food but this was by far the best. Lovely service and waiter was very informative about the food . Highly recommended.

I just ordered a humble Butter Chicken and a couple of naan to take away... But the chicken was moist, not dry as it so often is, the sauce has surprising complexity of spicing, and the heat was just right. Such a simple dish was turned into a real pleasure. The naan had a chewy texture with just the right amount of crispness to it.

This is not your popadom and jalfrezi restaurant. Small imaginative menu but everything we had was wow best Indian meal we have ever had. An undiscovered gem so find it and enjoy!!!!!

Wow! I have tasted lots of Indian food and this is up there with the very best. Make the effort, go off piste and support Shilpa who is an amazing chef.

The magnificent Shilpa has added a number of hew own new dishes to the menu - I thoroughly recommend the Tamarind and Orange Chicken. My friend and I groaned with delight when we first tasted it! Trust me, it's delicious. There's a new sauce to replace the tikka masala sauce with the King Prawns and while the previous one was my favourite, the new one is just as delicious. The scallops are also excellent. Can't wait to sample the rest of the new dishes and the Tasting Menu. Well worth a visit.

I booked at very short notice using Open Table and was glad I came (for a pre-football match meal). The staff were very friendly and helpful and genuinely interested to know whether everything was fine. It was easy for me to choose my food as I am a veggie but, having said that, there was a good choice of both veggie and non-veggie meals.
