Really enjoyed the food here. Tried the Tava which was new to me. It’s like an Indian fajita, and very very tasty. Not dry like chicken tandoori and not a wet sauce like a normal curry. Comes with Dahl as well and rice. Would definitely have it again. Large portions. Service was excellent helping me to make the right choice. Complimentary popadoms was a nice touch.

Another successful curry night was had here at the Pedlar and Spice. By that I don't mean that this was a repeat visit; I mean that it was a good choice for the group I was with, who go for regular curry nights and always try to find somewhere new.I chose this restaurant for a number of reasons, but mainly because it had such good reviews. We were not disappointed. Taq was a fantastic host, and he kept us right with how many rices and naan breads to order. He also suggested sharing starters, and my goodness, the chicken wings were the tastiest chicken wings any of us had ever had! Even for the folk who don't normally go for chicken wings, like me! I was quite happy to get stuck in once everyone else raved about them! Then came the curries. Delicious, and I am pleased to say not too heavy like you get in some other curry houses. I left feeling satisfied but not uncomfortably full. I also left with the lingering taste of garlic naan...not that that is necessarily a bad thing for most, but for me the garlic naan was a wee bit too garlicky, if that makes sense!Restaurant was super quiet given what is going on in our world just now, but Taq gave us very welcoming and personal service and he deserves a shout-out. Thank you for a memorable evening!

Visited on spur on moment for curry. Tasty starters , lovely garlic naan , mains ok . My curry a little bland , but it was probably my choice. Really friendly service. Would go back , but choose a different main next time.

Bawarchi Indian restaurant and takeaway

18/04/2020: I don’t know how they do it but the standard continues to be amazing! In the absence of going out, who knew staying in could offer food as good?! No scrimping, no compromise! Food delicious, healthy and family friendly! Not to mention the beautiful, kind touches that only ‘my local friends’ can deliver, knowledge of what we like, who we are trying to please and a wee bit extra here and there! Bawarchi we love you!!!!

26/01/2020: This was our first experience of Southern Indian cuisine and we were very impressed. I have a wheat allergy and it was fantastic to be able to choose anything on the menu. I chose the lamb dosa which was so tasty. The restaurant was very busy and we did wait a bit to be served, but once they took our order the service was good. Would definitely recommend.
03/02/2020: Brilliant.... simply brilliant alternative to a standard curry house. It is a bit pricey but worth every penny. The breads are a kind of speciality and if you ask you can have a bit of each with your meal to compliment the great tasting dishes. The lamb chop main was to die for and would certainly be a choice on a return visit, though you do need some rice and bread to soak up the superb sauce.Kingfisher on tap here
