Lovely staff, best takeaway. Authentic Thai takeaway. Great taste, flavours and portion size. Pad Thai with chicken and prawn is amazing.

Well what can I say. The best Thai ever ( well in England) the only one that comes close is Song Kran in Cheam village. Fresh ingredients, beautifully balanced in taste, flavour just dances on your tongue and cheap as you like. People are beautiful even those who frequent the normal bar. A beacon that shines light in Colnbrook. The quality has never deviated and remains so integrated into the overall joy and experience of the place and food. Well done Punch bowl you are definitely punching above your weight just don’t drop down a weight. FANTASTIC

Come here quite a few times recently and every time the food has been great. Always fresh and hot and super friendly staff I can’t recommend this enough.I work in Colnbrook and this place is 2 minutes away, the food comes quickly so I get a proper lunch break and don’t lose half of it driving to get somewhere. Also well worth paying extra £2 to make it large

I'vew been eating here over the years, so would just like to give anyone a laymans terms on this venue . The food is fantastic, everything else is faded. Its a perfect palce to meet up with people who are comfortable in any surroundings. The napkins are paper, the floors are bare wood, but the food is heavenly. I eat here during the day , whenever i want to meet up with freinds from work , its the go to place. they do a great trade. They dont serfve drinks to your tanle, you have to go to the bar, buty your drinks, then add them to your tab if you are eating at a table , they are quirky like that. Im glad they are still there , serving the community and the surrounding areas!

Visited tonight with my partner and a friend as an impromptu meal out, have not been for a few years, Was very pleased to find the food was as I remembered, very good :) The restaurant side of the pub was reasonably busy for early on a Wednesday night (6.30pm) so glad I had booked just 45mins before Service was very attentive, we were greeted whilst at the bar and asked if we were just in for drinks or a meal too, the drinks were then bought to our table and put on the bill. The service was friendly and attentive and were even asked if we would like any dishes explained.Had a very nice meal tasty and hot and good size potion and all at a reasonable price

I’ve lost count how many times I have been here now! Really enjoy coming here with friends and colleagues, this time we celebrated a colleagues 50th birthday, we were a group of 12. There was ample options on the menu and service was friendly. Starters were OK, but the main dishes is where the restaurant does really well. Good value for money too. The hosts of the Thai restaurant were very personable and allowed us to cut a birthday cake for my friend. Thank you so much.

I really didn’t like this place, uncomfortable seating, rushed service. This place is really not my cup of tea.. it reminds me of a thai version of mc d’s or Burger King.

This is one of those reviews that I hesitate to write, for fear the venue will suddenly be overrun with tourists. This pub is hidden away in a corner of Mayfair, just around the corner from a lovely close, where it is nice to sit and relax and admire the spectacular Rafus palm in the center of the garden. The staff are unfailingly sweet and polite. It's a lovely room and quite cool in the heat. The food is very good and the wine list, not bad. The chardonnay is very good. No pinot noir by the glass, but the Cote du Rhone and the Montepulciano are both good.The food is very tasty. I recommend the terrine and the soup, as well as the salmon.There is a really good port by the glass.It is the terminus for some kind of Sherlock Holmes trek, so occasionally very busy and noisy, but usually it is a lovely local place for a pint or a glass of wine.

We took a punt on this pub/restaurant, as we were staying in the hotel across the road the night before our flight. My husband and I were really sceptical walking in. It had a real local feel, and just didn't look like the kind of place you would find decent thai food. Well, what a surprise! The food was amazing, and was definitely freshly cooked and we certainly couldn't have wished for a better meal. The service was super and very attentive. Would not hesitate to return if we are in the area again!

I entered this pub, where the bar area was very busy and noisy. Asked the waiter for a table for one and he pointed to a table next to the bar, where many people stood around drinking. I politely asked if I could sit in the quiet area away from the bar and was bluntly told NO. I left the pub and went to the lovely Italian restaurant about 150yds away, where I was made very welcome.

Went for dinner after reading the reviews and not disappointed. Very friendly Thai family are owners and have been for the past 9 years. The restaurant consists of several tables set aside in the bar area, the menu is varied with all the classics you would expect, service was quick and the food was fantastic, large portions at a reasonable price and very tasty. One fouled mouthed chap at the bar spoiled the atmosphere with a constant use of the F word. Get rid of him and this would be an excellent place to eat.

British point with a twist. Proper Thai food, limited menu but fab food and so cheap compared to other local restaurants or hotels. Get out of that hotel and give it a try. N.B. when they say hot they mean it - but delicious.

Been a number of times here when staying at the holiday inn across the road from the restaurant. I good meal selection, not extensive but with a good range with a selection of boiled or fried rice, I normally ask for hot Singapor noodles hot and spicy which is not on the menu but they make it. If you like your meal a little spicy then ask for the hot oil. You get a free bowl of crackers with every meal. Well priced and worth a visit if you are near by.

We were staying in the hotel opposite so went to look what was on offer and was really pleased to see it was a Thai restaurant.

It looks and feels the typical Brit pub but with a very Asian twist to the food. Prices are cheaper than any area restaurants and very close to the LHR airport t5. Penaeng curry was a delight. The staff is friendly and very courteous. I will be back here again I’m sure!!

Situated right opposite the holiday inn T5 this is a hidden gem. Don’t let the exterior fool you. Looks like a run down pub but it has brilliant Thai food but spiced for Brits. Food is wonderful and service too. Typically how you find in Bangkok family places. Try it you won’t be disappointed

Great food, with excellent service in a traditional pub, what more is there to want. The red curry and stir fry were first class as were the satay chicken and fish cakes.

We were staying in the Holiday Inn Express across the street and got dinner from here. One could argue that we were just very hungry, but the entire family agreed their food was phenomenal! Run, don’t walk to this place for your next meal.

Stopped for lunch with colleagues and from the outside it doesn’t look like much and the inside looks like a bit of a run down pub. BUT don’t let that put you off, the staff are friendly and bar prices reasonable and the Thai food really really really great value and very tasty. All freshly cooked to order in the small kitchen all nine of us had our hot food delivered within 10 minutes of ordering it, we’d only just finished our prawn crackers. This place is a firm favourite of my team and always welcoming so we will be back.

Love the food here , but the staff is pretty sad. Once I asked for white prawn crackers with my meal instead of brown and she said we don't offer with lunch . But, the next time I went again for lunch , I saw her giving it to the old guys on the table. Was annoyed and the waitress is rude as well. Wish the staff was more courteous, and then it can be such a good experience!! Unfortunately, they do not know how to be courteous. . Need major training !!!

popped into this pub when staying at the Travelodge terminal 5. Hoping for a sandwich at lunchtime but they did not do any. Seems to be a Thai food restaurant. Could do with a little TLC especially the toilets, broken tiles, etc. Was busy but would not frequent again.

Visited yesterday and noticed straight away new furniture in the restaurant. Looks great and very comfortable. We had 3 main courses and portion of fries from the lunch menu, cost £22.50, and was exceptional, the best Thai meal ever. Recommend this pub, all the food is freshly cooked, also good wines at the right price.

This place is recommended by Hilton staff in Heathrow t4 . It looks like a traditional English pub but it has an thi twist . Run by proper thi people and food was good enough to prove it. We loved the the spiciness of the food . It was great service too . Highly recommend it .

I was staying at the hotel opposite and was recommended this place to eat. This is traditional English pub that has opened up it’s kitchen to traditional Thai cuisine. Nothing fancy service wise but the food is good - very good! The pub serves the usual drinks you would expect. Quirky but it works.

We've visited the Punch Bowl on three separate occasions, all of which were before early flights from Heathrow the following morning.

We decided to cross the road from the Holiday Inn to have a pint after driving down from Durham . We got a Pint of London Pride (great) and notice that they had a Thai Restaurant which began serving at 6pm. We ordered a meal . Well priced , reasonable portions and absolutely delicious . Highly recommend the food .

Staying at the Holiday Inn over the road, went to the pub expecting ordinary pub food. We were amazed and highly delighted to find the best Thai food I've had in England. Authentic som tum salad, massaman curry and other delicious dishes. Such a surprise to find such great food almost adjacent to the hotel. Staff were friendly and helpful. Food arrived fairly quickly. Top marks for food. Highly recommended.

This place isn’t a bit odd, proper old man pub, but with a Thai restaurant inside!Food was absolutely delicious, had a Thai seafood salad, dumplings and sticky rice. All lovely. Just walked down from Holiday inn to try and get some thai food.It has been run by a Thai family...the lady was kind enough to explain my all the dishes...I was early before the evening timing so some dishes were not ready but the lady agreed to make one noodle dish for me...she made it spicy as requested by me even gave additional chili paste with the takeaway container... It was absolutely tasty Thai food...Would love to visit here again and try different dishes...

We ordered the set menu. The food was good, just good. Very nice looking restaurant on the outside, inside old and in definate need of update. Nice you can sit inside or out. I feel the most important thing about any restaurant is the food. If you have fantastic food you really dont pay to much attention to the surroundings. Food was just good so i focused on the surroundings.

Tired to go here on Sunday 06/08 for lunch at 1pm, opening times states 12-3pm for lunch. Walked inti a grumpy Asian man, asked about food, grumbled at me with some incoherent words. Asked again and got told not now, maybe at 2pm. Didn't even try to find out why as his face said it all, Like I was ruining his day. Been here before. food was nice but portions small, Now wont be back. No wonder car park was empty on Sunday at 1pm.

Thai restaurant that's also a pub :) Good lunch menu w/ reasonable prices. Ordered the "Seafood Noodles" (£8) which had good amount of seafood and surprisingly very spicy. Good portion, food tasted ok. Outside of restaurant doesn't look like your normal Thai restaurant - definitely British flavor to it :)

Unfortunately, our flight was cancelled and ended up staying unexpectedly over at the Holiday inn terminal5 on a Sunday night. Fortunately this little gem was open. As previous reviewers have described, the building is tired, but the welcome and food from the Punch Bowl staff made up for it. We had massaman, Penang and Pad Thai, all were delicious and very reasonably priced. Would go back if we were ever in that neck of the woods again.

We came in around 10 o'clock at night to hear that this place was about to close, but the waitress was kind enough to ask the staff if they could make another meal. To our surprise, they obliged, and made delicious Pad Thai. Staff is nice, thankful, and efficient. Definitely would recommend this place to anyone looking for some delicious Thai food.

Staying across road at HI. So this is closest place for food. First impressions were that staff were slightly offish. Not bad but seemed distracted. However, that as an aside the food is great. Food I had was amazing. Was expecting it to be to hot. But no, the different tastes from the spices were blended to perfection. I love the old English pub feel with Thai restaurant feel. Hard to describe but it works. Staying here for 4 nights for work sure this won't be my only visit.

I love to call in here which I do when I am staying in the Holiday Inn opposite the pub. The traditional thai food is very good but I do hope they can change their menu as it is hard to read. I good selection of food which always comes with some crispy prawn crackers as soon as you place your order. The pub itself is very tired with a few holes in the ceiling and the floors well beaten up but, it is clean and the staff are alway welcoming. The price is good value for money and they service all the normal pub alcohol and spirits

I visited the Punch Bowl for a pint of Guinness whilst staying at the nearby Travelodge Hotel. Nice pint and good service. Nothing outstanding but friendly.

We went there as a group of 4 and were treated with little regard. The prices they charged us for our beer was greater that the locals. The service was nearly non existent and the food bland. The amount of chicken in our chicken dish was less that 2 ounces. I let the server know we were unhappy and she just shrugged.

Called after work for a drink, to be welcomed by 3 lovely ladies, we ordered from the menu a good variety, and excellent value for money. The prawn crackers were very light and tasty, and the meals were very tasty. Good customer service. Will be going again when working in the area.

We were staying at the Hilton Hotel Terminal 5 down the road from this pub. A friend told us to try out the Punchbowl. The decor is dated but the service and food are excellent. Great value for money too.

Staying overnight across the road in the Holiday Inn Heathrow T5. Great to find real ale, a friendly welcome and reasonably priced, home cooked Thai food. So impressed.

I am visiting this place since last four years and one of the greatest place to eat Thai food in the M4 corridor area. The pub and restaurant owned by a Thai family, and you can expect a home made style Thai food here. The prices are reasonable, and quantity is good. There is a plenty of parking and food is served indoor and outdoor. I should have given it five stars if they would have put efforts in the interior, this place is old and needs a change.

I cannot let the year pass without a mention to our favourite lunch time food place. The Punch Bowl maybe a little run down inside in terms of décor but if you’re looking for a change from sandwiches for your lunch then you couldn’t do any better in the immediate vicinity. The Thai food is delicious and all freshly prepared, delivered quick to the table irrespective of how busy the place is and is exceptional value. Last but not least it does the best prawn crackers you’ll ever hope to taste! We have probably visited the place over a dozen times over the course of the year and the standards have never slipped once.

Went here for dinner the pub is quite run down and could do with a make over but not many places to eat in that area so I gave it a go ,its a Thai restaurant and it's not bad food I was quite surprised quick service and didn't wait long for food

It's the 3rd time i come to this restaurant and its great. There is always the same smiley waitress and she is great doing suggestions. Yesterday we were 6 and we decided to have the menu C as she suggested and we all loved it. Great place and great value. Will visit again!

Sorry, I really wanted to like this place but it's not easy. This is my 2nd visit in 6 months and it's just the same. It's a bit of a dump; old decor, floor needs replacing and the toilets are in a poor state. The only reason to come here on a Sunday is because the Italian up the road is closed. The barman (boss maybe) is such a miserable sod; no smiles, no chat, nothing. He can't poor a decent pint: tangy beer and flat as a pancake. A good measure of a decent Thai is the tom yum soup and papaya salad; their soup is truly awful while the salad was just about ok. The serving staff are very helpful and pleasant but the the feeling is this place is just treading water

Well this place is a bit odd. A very locals pub with a tiny Thai restaurant in the corner. Really tasty food cooked fresh. Portion sizes are not big so order plenty. I ordered the masa an curry and a kao pad special rice and it fab. Friendly family feel. Recommended.

I have enjoyed some evening drinks here and stayed for a Thai dinner. Living most of the year in Thailand I know good Thai food. I was not impressed with the food as I found it bland and lacking the punch of real authentic Thai food. My girlfriend is Thai and thought even less of the food than I did. The problem is that there is no real alternative on offer here. We went once and never went back for food.

We were staying just across the road at a hotel and thought we would take a look at what venues there were in this place to eat. Colnbrook is a charming little village which has retained its former charm by excluding large traffic. Indeed there are nice ring roads now to prevent unwanted traffic in the middle so it is quite peaceful - apart that is from being right at the end of the runway at Heathrow!We went into the Punchbowl because the reviews were good. It is just llike an ordinary pub inside but not "beautiful" or well decorated. Has a good real ale to drink and we took a look at the menu which is basically Thai. We decided not eat as generally the place looked tired; the portions other people were receiving did not seem particularly large although I think the prices looked competitive, certainly in our previous experience we have always found Thai food to be very expensive.We moved on to see what else was available, keeping an open mind. We said if we did not find anything better we would go back. As it happens we did so we didn't go back. We cannot therefore say what the food was actually like but if the surroundings were improved this might enthuse us more!

The food was good and service was quick, but not too friendly. We unfortunately came just before the kitchen staff left mid-day, but weren't aware that they stopped serving food at 3PM for a couple of hours. We were served, but they weren't too happy about it.

I visited for the first and last time. What a dive, spit and saw-dust pub comes to mind. I had a ropey cheese and onion sandwich with chips cost just under £5.00. Only saving grace was the chips.

Our hotel was across the street and we saw this pub. We were expecting pub food but were pleasantly surprised that the menu was all Thai. The food was good, fragrant, spicy, sour and sweet-all the classic flavores that make Thai food what it is. Most dishes were low to medium in spiceiness. There were quite a few Thai people eating there, so it must be pretty good for the area. On tap is a nice selection of UK and European beers.

Please don't be put off with exterior or interior. Old fashion pub not updated to restaurant standards but the food was lovely. Don't pay Hilton prices when this is a short work up the road. This is a very local pub. Busy in a Monday night with lots of locals and a great 60s soundtrack, a little at odds with an otherwise Thai experience. Good selection of red wine and beer on tap. Very friendly service. Was SUPER impressed with Thai food. We had veg spring rolls, fishcakes, papaya salad to start. Main was a chicken pad Thai, massamun curry and an OUTSTANDING gra pao (chilli basil) pork. Food was flavourful, spicy, really inexpensive.If you have a layover, or are staying at an airport on Bath Road, catch a taxi here for dinner!

Enjoyed my vegetable tempura & veggie green curry with sticky rice. With a couple of pints this came to £19.The Thai people running it were very pleasant.This is not a 'flash' restaurant. It's definitely a pub & arguably would benefit from a bit of a facelift... but as a 'solo' diner visiting whilst staying in a nearby hotel with work, it fitted the bill nicely.I will be back (LOVE Thai food & this was v authentic).
