Ordered pizza via the website. Pizza was ready on time. They reduced the price of one of the pizza because we requested no cheese. This is a first and we have visited a lot of pizza places across the UK. The pizza was lovely! Good quality ingredients. You need to visit this place if you are in the area!!!!

Wow! The best Gluten free pizza I’ve ever had. You actually couldn’t tell it was gluten free. Fresh hand stretched dough. Regular pizza went down well too. Really tasty and authentic. Staff were welcoming and friendly. It definitely live up to its name - a proper pizza!

Great pizza, we called 1/2 hour before we wanted and collected. It was really delicious. Thin crust. It was a Proper pizza !

Ordered and collected five pizzas this evening. All were served hot and tasted absolutely amazing! Well worth the price for a decent pizza and we’d definitely order again.

Fabulous pizzas and very friendly. Finding our choice of venue for 37th wedding anniversary closed, we stopped instead at Proper Pizza Company…..amazing food and even put a candle on the table on the pavement for us! I will always remember our 37th for the kindness alongside excellent food! Thank you guys!

We used proper pizza to cater for our party and they were amazing. Delivered all the pizzas directly to the field of the party! Superb service and the pizzas were all delicious, every order was correct including catering for dietary requirements such as gf (which came wrapped in extra bags so was protected). We travel all over the country in our caravan and every time we come to Brecon we have a pizza from The proper pizza company, they definitely make the best pizza , they put a generous amount of toppings on each pizza , and they are always delicious. .Always worth a visit.

Without a doubt one of the nicest pizzas I have ever had. Phoned through for a midweek pizza and the staff were friendly, easy to deal with and the pizzas were ready to collect on time. As a family we ordered five different pizzas and each one was cooked to perfection and the quality of the ingredients evident! My only advice would be to get your order in early (maybe even the day before?) if trying to place an order on the weekend as when I tried to place an order the following Saturday at 4.30pm the next available collection time was 8.45pm which unfortunately was too late for our children to eat. Given the quality of the food this wasn’t a surprise and the next time I’m in Brecon I will make sure to get my order in early!

Perfect for canal side dinner. 5 min walk into town from the Brecon basin. Phoned ahead to order take away, was exactly on time and pizza was excellent. Proper handmade pizza with a good selection of toppings and decent value.

We go here at weekends when we've had a busy day and have a takeaway. The pizzas are made fresh and are delicious,and tasty. My grandson can only manage half of a 10 inch and so I freeze what he leaves, when defrosted and put in oven for 10 mins to warm through, they are like fresh again. Would definitely recommend.

We are stuffed. We popped in tonight after a day of walking the beacons and watching the football in the local pub, and what a perfect way to end the day. I got the vegetarian with pineapple and my husband got the meat feast. Absolutely delicious. The best pizza I’ve ever had. Ever. I’d come back to Brecon just to have the pizza again. Definitely a highlight of our weekend getaway. Fabulous staff too, really friendly - you can tell they enjoy what they’re doing. (Haven’t got a picture of the meat feast because he got stuck in straight away)

We had a range of meat, dairy free and veggie pizzas - all excellent. Rang ahead with order and ready for collection at time given.

It is more a take-away place, but they do have one table at which we could eat. The pizaa was great, and we had a lovely chat about the welsh accent with one guy behind the counter, who seemed to know lots of take-away customers by name. Personal touch and good value.

Had a lovely ham and pineapple pizza here as good as any we’ve had before. Thin crust ample topping and worth every penny.

What can I say... quite simply the most stunning pizza I have ever tasted (anywhere... ever... at any time!!!). The pizzas are made to order, so a wait can be expected, but worth every second. Steak strips, onions and sliced garlic the first time.... so flippin good that went back a few days later for chicken, sweetcorn and garlic once again. My mouth is salivating right now as I am writing this. Would give it 10 stars if it were possible.

My husband and I were staying in Llangynidr and fancied a night on our terrace with pizza and beer, so we had a look on Google and were delighted to find this place. Not only does it do vegan cheese, but also gluten-free pizza bases too - amazing! So we drove there to find that there was a 1.5 hour wait, however we decided to order nonetheless and enjoy a drink in a beer garden nearby - thank goodness we turned up earlier rather than later, so we still got to eat our dinner by 7:30pm. The lovely gentleman who served us was absolutely amazing and sooo friendly! I'm guessing he was the owner(?) and he was so helpful and made the experience even more pleasant than it already was. He even offered to put garlic oil on our garlic bread (instead of garlic butter) to make it vegan - how wonderful. The garlic could've been stronger to be honest with you, but that did not detract from the sheer quality of the ingredients used and the overall delicious flavours. The pizza tasted insane and the toppings were so fresh. Our entire meal was delicious and absolutely worth the wait!!! Thank you so much and hopefully see you again soon :-)

Great pizzas, with a range of options such as gluten free and vegan. This place is very popular so you can have to wait for up to an hour though when busy, and have been there when they've run out of pizza bases entirely.Only one table so eating in isn't really an option and can get crowded while waiting.

We were looking for a pizza place after a rain soaked day of walking in the Beacons. We found this hidden gem. Best pizza I have had in Wales.

We visited on Thursday evening (4th July), starving after a long day in the Beacons: the pizzas were excellent (we intended to share just one, but it was so good we had to have another!). We ate in and the proprietor provided all we needed at the table in the entrance. Thanks -the pizzas were stunningly authentic and tasty - we hope we can come back again before long!

I have literally just left this pizzeria… and I can honestly say that this was the best pizza I have eaten in many years and definitely the best sourdough pizza in the UK to date. A must visit for anyone who appreciates a good quality pizza… excellent quality toppings and brilliant base. What’s not to like ???

Hotel couldn't fit us in the dining room so my wife and I were a bit down in the dumps. We decided we would "make do" with pizza as there didn't seem to be a lot of choice in the town. I went into the shop Thursday evening. Clean and welcoming. The gentleman behind the counter informed me that there was a 30min wait. (shows how busy they were) He told me aswell that there was a meat special pizza that night, which I picked.30 mins later I picked up my pizza.Oh my god. That pizza was a delight from start to finish. Thin crisp base, top quality toppings finished with a lot of cheese.Possibly one of the best I had for a long long time.I am back in Brecon next week and will return for another pizza.

The mozzarella garlic pizza bread is incredible and not to be missed, but make sure you save room for one of the best pizzas you will ever have.The owner is really friendly and the place is really reasonably priced.There is nothing I could find fault with.

I found out about this amazing little place by complete accident, and it was the best accident I’ve ever had! The pizza’s are fresh and taste absolutely amazing and every time I’ve been I’m always greeted by a wonderfully friendly owner. Popped into this place tonight, and without doubt the bestest pizza I’ve ever ever tasted!!! Seriously !Ok, so the place is basically a takeaway, and it’s quite small, however, there is a bench inside, enough for 4 people. There were 2 of us, and we decided to eat inside instead of taking it back to our tents. Well, the owner (Gary I think his name was) and the 2 girls brought out a jug of water plus glasses and made us feel right at home.... we even picked on the basil plant that was on the table.5* service..... and all at a very reasonable price (approx £8 for a 10” pepperoni pizza)Try it !

Not sure if Brecon counts as South Wales but this stone baked pizza is the best. Cooked fresh to order and made in front of you. Ingredients taste fresh. Genuinely friendly owner too! It’s mainly takeaway but does have a small number of eat in tables.I always try to eat here if in Brecon.

Needed to feed the family while in Brecon and Pizza was their choice, this little pizzeria on a side street was brilliant, made to order and just as we wanted them. Couldn’t fault the service or the food. Small menu which was good as too much choice often means the food suffers. Will definitely return the next time we’re in Brecon.

Tucked away down a small side street in Brecon is this amazing takeaway pizza restaurant. I have had the pleasure to taste this in a number of occasions since living in Brecon since January 2018. All freshly made with a "proper" thin and crispy base. In my opinion there are 2 places to go for pizza in Brecon, this place and La Belle pizza. This place trumps it because I know La Belle use pre made pizza bases, and you can really tell the difference.My only issue is the lack of vegetarian options, you can get a vegi pizza but I want choice not one option (if you make you're own it can rack up the cost). I want to see goats cheese, feta and sun dried tomatoes on the menu.I strongly recommend the mozzarella garlic bread with Aioli dip, it will change your life.

A little kitchen in a side road making true Italian pizzas. Only about 12 variations on menu - good - then they know how to make them very well. We ordered pepperoni with pineapple mushroom and jalapeño, and a rocket and parmesan. They were perfect, with tasty tomato sauce on a true Italian base. Well done and good luck!

It was last remaining place to eat after trying a few pubs and we were left with very happy bellies and superb recommendation. It’s a small place run by very friendly people and yummy pizza! Home made from scratch, with good selection of toppings and option to eat in or take away! We will definitely come back if visiting Brecon Beacons again!

We visited Brecon over the weekend and due to not having an oven in our accommodation, were looking for something easy for tea on a Saturday night. We had a look at places in the local area and we are a bit concerned as we couldn’t find a menu to this place online but the trip advisor reviews were good so we went to check it out. The menu looked delicious and the prices were fantastic, much cheaper than chain pizza places such as Dominoes. We both opted for the meat special and it took around 20 minutes, all cooked from scratch with delicious ingredients. We could see it being made behind the counter. Possibly the best pizzas we have ever tasted! We both had meat pizzas and can honestly say we’ve never had a pizza with so much meat on it - very filling and delicious. There is a bench inside that you can eat at - however it is not like a restaurant. My only recommendation is to get a website/menu online so that everyone can see what a fantastic place this is to visit, otherwise lots of people are missing out!

Stumbled across this place when me and 2 friends where looking for lunch. the pizza was fantastic. It was so good that when the rest of our group arrived and we had completed our walk on the saturday we phoned these guys up to cook us 12 pizzas and some garlic bread. There was a wait, and why wouldn't there be for this amount of fresh quality pizza, but the pizza's where delicious. When im back i'll be popping in again.

I visited friends in Brecon and decided on pizza for the evening. We telephoned our order for collection. They were very accommodating and made 4 x pizzas to our specification.I've had pizzas from across the world and to be very honest, this was the best I've ever had. The price was also very reasonable. Would definitely recommend this lovely quaint pizzeria to anyone.

We have gotten pizza from here a handful of times, trying all the different types. We are always very happy with the quality in their pizzas to the point to where we talk about how yummy it is with every bite we take. Like in the title..... You do get what you pay for! It may be a bit more than Morrisons or a few others but if you want amazing pizza it is worth the little extra. They have weekly specials that they post on their Facebook page so check those out before you order. I would strongly recommend in place for Pizza.

With not a lot of notice this company produced a range of superb 12" pizzas for our family gathering last Saturday. All were delivered exactly on time and hot. Everyone commented on their excellent taste and quality. The best pizzas we've had in a long time.

Had the Vegetarian Pizza and Margarita with olives, jalapeño, red onions added - all fantastic and best of all the restaurant stocks vegan cheese which was used. Very tasty and generous toppings. Seriously one of the best pizzas we have eaten with topping right up to the edge, so a lovely base but not alot of 'spare' without toppings. Very friendly staff and warm welcome. Small table to sit down or wait. From us as vegans looking for a well made, tasty and value for money pizza it was perfect.

We had two pizzas from this outlet yesterday and didn't realise how delicious a pizza could be! They were excellent, very tasty, plenty of topping and the 10" size was ample for one. The preparation and cooking areas are on view and everything is spotless. The packaging is cardboard, so a big plus for recycling. Friendly staff too. Very good value for money. Highly recommended.

Lovely thin 10 or 12 inch pizzas with a choice of bases. I especially liked the sour dough base. Generous portions of topping on each pizza. Will definitely be on our list of eating places when we visit Brecon again.

The staff are welcoming and friendly. Perfect little takeaway. Reasonable prices, and brilliant value for money. You can tell the ingredients are fresh and they use local produce, and the dough is prepared in front of you. The mozzarella doughballs are hands down the most delicious things I've ever eaten! While visiting Brecon with my girls, who are both coeliac, I popped in on the off chance to ask about Gluten Free pizza. The owner was so kind and considerate, making both the girls GF pizza making sure it was not contaminated. They both said it was the best GF pizza they have ever had. My 'normal' pizza was also totally delicious. Great service, great pizza what else can you ask for?

Discovered this fab place on a trip to Brecon and we were looking for a take out. The pizza is as all the other reviews describe - excellent.The place was buzzing and the locals obviously know its a great place.They have a small 4 seater table out front of the take out counter but it's not really a place where you would eat in.

After a good day on the hills battling Storm Doris was excellent to come down off the hills and grab a bite to eat. Small and delicious menu. Quick service and we sat in at the window and we're treated to the welsh lulling tones of the owner; a really nice man. Suitable for vegetarian :) Will definitely become a firm favourite.

Really delicious pizzas, We are on holiday - probably a good job or we would be here alot! Really good, homemade pizzas ready really quickly. We had the cheesy garlic bread (really delcious), a festive pizza (with turkey and cranberries) & the meat feast. Really friendly staff too. If we ever visit these parts again - we would be back. :)

Amazing pizza with fantastic ingredients, many locally sourced. We had Welsh pepperoni and jalapeño and another one with ham and pineapple. The ham was also Welsh and thick slices, not the usual plastic stuff you get on take-out pizza. I also tried a gluten free pizza base which the chef had handmade with organic ingredients that day. We loved it so much we will make sure to make a visit every time we go to Brecon. Delicious!!
