Lovely sunday roast and cote de rhone, warm welcome and relaxed setting, came away content with happy bellies

I have visited this restaurant many times, the friendliness of the staff is amazing & the food is very good too, but please book ahead to save being disappointed. The lamb roast I had yesterday was delicious, the ribs are succulent & desserts to die for!

We stopped here for dessert and loved it! ☺️

First time going to this lovely understated pub. Fabulous food, amazing attentive staff in a lovely relaxed setting. The roast lamb was out if this world! Certainly won't be the last time we visit this place. Definitely book, it fills up quickly and for good reason, reasonably priced too. Perfect.

Based on Google information we had high hopes for this pub but there was only one vegetarian option and that was unavailable. We were hoping for a roast dinner but that didn't appear to be available. We rang the bell for service but no one came (was it faulty?) so we left. However we did stop to talk to the guy at the bar (manager?) who offered to make halloumi burgers, so they tried to accommodate vegetarian diets. I expect that people who eat meat and fish would have a much better experience.

Disappointed - ordered a steak and it was chewy and tough. Offered a drink as compensation?!

Fantastic owners, lovely greating and great with the kids. The food was beautiful, from ribs, to chicken, even the peas. Staff are chatty and attentive. Fantastic staff, awesome food, great atmosphere. Next to Bembridge airfield, the children loved watching the plane's take off. Seating both inside and out.

They fitted us in. Dog friendly good. Food was brilliant, had scotch egg home made, very nice. I had liver and bacon, in lovely Onion gravey. Staff was was first class. First time been there in few years. Will go back with the quality of the food.

Stopped over on isle of wight for bacon baguette. Excellent all round and the staff were all without exception in a very positive mood.

We stopped in for lunch and sat outside with dogs. Their chicken sandwiches filled mum up, and the steak Baguettes were the best my wife and I have had.

Absolutely gorgeous food in a lovely unassuming pub. Its not the biggest but you certainly are seated comfortably and the staff were all so friendly it really made our night. We'd been meaning to visit for ages and I'm so glad we finally did we had a lovely evening. One tip I would give Is book to secure your table you don't want to miss out!

We booked Sunday lunch but had to have later than we would have liked but we know why now - gorgeous food. It was fine by us as we got a drink and watched 45 minutes of scooters drive past on the IoW scooter rally Sunday ride out. Perfect. The staff were flat out and very busy but continued to be friendly and polite. The roast was well portioned and the veg and meat cooked really well. Sitting outside and you have the planes taking off and landing from the airport behind. Very relaxing atmosphere and very lovely food. Oh and dog friendly.

Stopped here this evening for some food. Absolutely amazing service by the staff, seated with our dog almost immediately. Super friendly and welcoming barstaff. Great menu , we had the lamb wellington and the chicken and ribs. Best food we have had on the island, and would highly recommend to anyone. Thanks for the lovely meal and experience. Would go again 100%

We use this pub when we fly into Bembridge. Good drinks and food and liked especially for toilets after a longish flight.

Food choices were limited the burger bun was burnt

Driven past so many times over the years and never ventured in till now. Polite and warm welcome by a smiley young lady. Clean and friendly place but the food was awesome. I had the sausage and mash and it was best I have ever had. My wife had a baguette which was more than filling as well as tasty. Great place we'll definitely be returning to.

Came as a late party of 10 for lunch, 45 mins before end of lunch orders and were well catered for. The staff were friendly and polite. Food was good and filling and drinks as well. The 'Lamb Wellington' was a pleasant surprise. Seating outside for guests with pets. Ample parking also. Reasonably priced and felt no pressure to leave. Would recommend.

First time here for me but my husband came here as a kid. Beautiful food, good price, lovely surroundings and the staff were polite. Service was very good. It got very busy quickly but not surprised as lovely food. A meal for 4 plus 1 drink each was just under £60 amazing!

Brilliant food thanks to a very good chef

Absolutely fantastic! Had the steak and Stilton baguette. It was delicious.

Booked in advance and got there 30min early, got seated which was great, was warned there could be a 45 min wait, ok. 1 hour after we ordered i asked the bemused staff for an update... the "system" had lost our tables order. Drinks where removed from the bill as comp. Food came 20 mins later and was pretty average to be honest. Give it a miss. Plenty of lovely food places nearby.

We have stopped in here a few times over the years for drinks, and today we each had a bagget with some chips, it was absolutely beautiful. Very tasty 😋 would highly recommend

We went there for Sunday lunch and sat outside. The food was excellent but more importantly, the staff were extremely friendly and welcoming. As we were outside we had a great view of the airfield and could watch the planes coming and going. A lovely place to go for a meal. We’ll definitely be visiting again next time we’re in the area.

Bit of a shame very slow service

Very welcoming and accommodating. After a terrible experience at another restaurant the previous night where we waited for over an hour from food and bi-passed dessert as the service was so slow, I rang The Propeller Inn to see if we could just come for desserts. The lady was very lovely and fitted us in even though they were busy. The service was prompt, the staff were all very polite and the desserts were delicious!! Very reasonable prices as well. There was a pub quiz going on which was fun and the atmosphere was great Would definitely recommend The Propeller Inn.

The food was very good, the staff very friendly. The location at the airport is worth seeing.

I just want to say that we went to this restaurant last year and the scotch eggs were to do die for, came back this year with family and a newbie to the crew and we weren’t disappointed, the scotch eggs were absolutely delicious (as good, if not better than last year), rack of ribs were the best I’ve ever had, looking forward to next year, this Inn is the best I’ve been too, good choice of beer on tap too, well done, keep it up

Great food, the steak was delicious and the ribs, also good choice for children too. Staff welcoming and polite, love the device on the table to say you are ready to order and pay. We were told on arrival that there would be a thirty minute delay on food, which was fine with us, and appreciate being told this. Great to see the planes taking off. I would highly recommend, thank you.

Very nice pub, staff very efficient and helpful. Although the place was very busy, the helpings were plentiful, warm and delicious, definately the place to dine.

THIS PLACE IS THE BEST, COULDN’T FAULT ANYTHING SERVICE, FOOD AND THE STAFF SO FRIENDLY. WILL DEFINITELY EAT HERE AGAIN ON OUR NEXT VISIT. THE LAMB WELLINGTON IS A MUST.

Beautiful setting with lovely views across the airfield and the harbour below. Lots of choice on the menu, with particularly good vegetarian options. Staff all very attentive and accommodating, especially of our 4 month old and a large pushchair). Service was prompt and all 5 of our 3 course meals were perfect. Great atmosphere, and excellent parking. Thoroughly enjoyed our visit and highly recommend to others.

Lovely meal. Definitely recommend the shredded lamb Wellington. Rang and booked for 6.45. Arrived sat down straight away. Rang buzzer when ready to order. Came to the table quite promptly. Serving time for starters quite long, same with mains. Rang buzzer again several times when ready to order desserts, gave up in the end as after 20 minutes still no one came. They missed out on £25 off order.

Sunday roast is excellent and it doesn't cost a fortune. Very nice helpful staff. A word of warning it's popular so we booked on Thursday for Sunday and just squeaked in but being popular it has a good atmosphere. Highly recommended.

Found this pub on the last 2 days of our visit to the Island and can honestly say we were served such delicious food, we went there two evenings in a row. Had the shredded lamb wellington with mash, veg & gravy - the taste and texture of the whole meal was absolutely wonderful. Arrived on quiz night (Thurs) and even though all tables indoors were taken, the staff were able to seat us outside (lovely weather) and served us in a timely manner. Sitting outside is interesting in itself as the garden is located right next to the runway of Bembridge Airport so was fascinating to watch the planes land/take off. A brilliant pub in a good location, with helpful staff and the most mouth watering food.

Incredible meal today at the propeller - staff are all lovely and service is wonderful. Roast lamb was bloody stunning, very generous portions with incredible flavours of everything. Parents had the chicken Caesar salad they said it was the best they’ve ever had. Amazing drinks selection, coffee looks and tastes stunning. Best brownie I’ve ever had. Beautiful surroundings. Would recommend to anyone! Thank you propeller crew!!

The best meal we had over 5 days on the Isle of Wight. Delicious Sunday roast and scrumptious puddings. Service was exceptional as there had been a technical fault in the kitchen that put them under pressure, but they kept a splendid positivity and were still able to serve us with smiles. The atmosphere is enhanced by the opportunity to watch small planes take off and land at the airfield next door.

Only popped in for a drink. Not really a pub more of a food place really. Seemed short staffed but that's an issue all across the island currently it seems.

Staff were very helpful and understanding when we found ourselves in a difficult situation.

Great place to eat, I used to visit as a child with my parents and sister. Fabulous food, friendly staff and great value.

No service for 15 minutes so we left.

Had a lovely Lamb Sunday roast here during our weekend stay on the Island. Came recommended by a work colleague, and now happy to recommend to others. Nice selection of mixed veg to accompany the lamb as well. Will definitely pay the place another visit when we go back to the Island. Oh, and to confirm, you do NOT pay up-front as another reviewer has suggested. It's as you'd expect...order your meal, eat it, then pay!

I came across the propeller inn by chance as I was driving past thinking I needed some lunch. It doesn't look like much from the outside but is nice inside. The menu goes well beyond "pub grub" yet the dishes are reasonably priced. The food took rather a long time to come but was worth the wait. My lamb Wellington was delicious and was accompanied by a selection of beautifully cooked fresh vegetables. I'd definitely recommend you seek out the Propeller Inn.

The only thing that let them down was the wait to be seated. The young girl did apologise. The food here was awesome. Everything was tasty, cooked to perfection, and attractive to the eye. I had the chicken mushroom and leek pie, which was filled with plenty of chicken chunks. I loved the little dish of veg; cooked just right. The others in my group all highly complimented their food, too. The drinks and food all came in a reasonable time. I would definitely recommend coming here.
