The food at this establishment was second to none fabulous food and very good service I would recommend this place to anyone

Great pub find while staying close by on a caravan site. Staff in the pub so welcoming and friendly, we ordered food, all meals served quickly, hot fresh and tasted great. The vibe of the pub is also great , you are made to feel very welcome to come in for a drink and food. Great find, highly recommend :)

We visited north Wales & we found this little gem was showing the 6 nations finale (despite Wales losing & ending up with the wooden spoon). They are dog friendly & the landlord was very friendly & accommodating too. The pub is like a tardis, with the bar sat in the middle with all the seating areas around it. We didn't eat so can't comment on that.

Stopping in the centre of Criccieth during a very wet week The PoW was an absolute godsend. Very comfortable & welcoming thanks to Nisha. A big bonus is it’s dog friendly, now with a ‘Canine menu’ to keep the hound quiet while you eat. I had the steak which was excellent, all the beers are on top form & reasonably priced, highly recommend a visit if you are in the area.

We are staying in the area and after a walk popped into the prince of wales, the barmaid and waitress were so helpful and friendly, they bought our dog a biscuit and some water, couldn’t have been more helpful. The home cooked food completed a great visit. Will be back, thank you! Bwyd blasus, gennod cyfeillgar a methu helpu digon, Diolch.

Great beer battered cod and chips. Good selection of beers and wine. Unfortunately it was that cold we kept our winter coats on. Would return if the heating was on.

Lovely staff, good selection of draughts and a free pool table when food isn't being served, which happened to be what we turned up for at lunchtime (and drinks!). BUT it was off season and we were encouraged to buy food from the town and bring it in to eat, which was perfect. We'll be back next time we are in Criccieth.

Lovely little pub in cricceth North Wales with a lovely atmosphere and the food was nice and filling after a walk on the beach. Tried the roast dinner and it was decent, felt the gravy was out of a tub, would have topped the meal off lovely with lovely a nice meat juice gravy. Kids ate southern fried chickens and beef burgers and had no complaints. Also the kids lasagne was nice with a Herby flavour. Sprouts were rock hard though and stuffing couldn't had a bit longer in the oven to give it a crispier edge. Would recommend and will go back .

We popped in in a gloomy and misty day the first week of October and found a warm, clean and nice place with great food. Best fish and chips ever! Also very kind and friendly staff.

Great place to have a decent evening meal on a cold and wet night in north wales. Well looked after with great service and the quality and amount of food served was excellent. Will definitely be coming back.

Great service! Food was good as well. Unfortunately we were placed near the pool billiard table/entrance. That lowered the experience a bit.

I learned a lesson here about first impressions. We needed somewhere to eat, early evening with a dog. I had my sights set on Dylan's but they didn't have a table. The Prince of Wales turned out to be a superb alternative. Very friendly and accommodating staff and pie and chips to die for, a lucky find for us!

Lovely pub, excellent food two nights in a row. Highly recommend the steak and ale pie in particular! Our server in particular this evening (Sept 25), was one of only two staff out front and definitely very hardworking, was friendly and fantastic. Thank you ♥️ Only thing is I wish the minted Lamb pie, which is listed on the online menu but not on the menu in the pub itself, had been available.

We thought maybe serving eight adults and five grand kids would be a challenge for the serving staff. Nothing could have gone smoother and nothing was too much trouble. They ensured we got all meals and drinks very quickly after they'd been ordered Oh, and the food is really really good and reasonably priced. If we go back to Criccieth we will definitely have a meal and drinks at The Prince of Wales.

Went in for a quick pint on our first night of our holiday. Fabulous beer, Aber Falls gin and a sausage for a dog!! Great, friendly staff too. We'll be back this week!!

Visited yesterday evening, live music with a lovely atmosphere. Very warm welcome from the staff too. Had already eaten elsewhere so just called in for a drink but ended up staying as it was so relaxed and friendly. Definitely recommend if in the area !

Found this place on line after visiting pwhelli the previous day and finding nowhere to eat. We decided to look for places in Criccieth and found The Prince of Wales has good reviews so we decided to give it a try. There were 6 off is and the place was busy but they found us a table and soon came to take our order. The food was amazing, all fresh and home cooked and tasted delicious. Some of the best food we have ever eaten and the staff were all friendly and helpful. The cutlery is brought in little paper pouches with the dessert menu on the back which I thought was a really good idea and we started discussing which desert we wanted as they looked fantastic, however the mains were so tasty and filling we didn’t have room for pudding. Definitely a must visit when in Criccieth.

Came on Monday night for a drink and decided to come back on Tuesday for a meal .The place was packed out but luckily they managed to squeeze us in .The food was excellent. I definitely recommend the Steak and Ale pie ,the best I have ever had.

A great traditional pub, friendly staff & attentive service, lovely home cooked food, the chef was very accommodating when my husband asked for his eggs to be poached rather than fried to go with his gammon…in his words “they were the best poached eggs in Wales!” This is definitely a pub to visit if you are looking for good food with a lovely atmosphere.

Excellent food and a relatively fair price. However, the service is very long (~30 minutes of waiting even though it was after 1:30 p.m. and there was almost no one there) so you need to have a little time on your hands.

The Prince of Wales is a great family friendly pub with some great food. Staff were particularly friendly and attentive especially when catering for our larger group of 7 people. I will definitely choose to eat at the Prince of Wales next time I visit Criccieth.

Good quality pub food. I particularly liked the steak and ale pie. Nice friendly staff. Good choice on kids menu. A small but well kept selection of real ale. (Purple moose bitter, Rev. James, Brains SA).

We have just eaten here as a family and had an amazing meal. The staff were very friendly and helpful. My son has coeliac disease so needs to eat gluten free. We were so pleased to see that a separate gluten free menu was available...

Great service, and the best food we have had in Criccieth. Lasagne was proper home made rather than the slop you get at some pubs, and my kids enjoyed their burgers. Good pints as well

I like everything in this place. Proportions were very generous and good food.. My only downside of it was it was very warm where they put us upstairs and very gloomy in the light. But everything else was spot on. The girls were friendly and helpful.

The owner was an arrogant individual who ignored you in favour of diners .. he needs to remember it's the locals who will put money in the till in winter.. local barmaid was great though

Very unwelcoming with smokers in the entrance. Genuinely pleased to be refused a table, thankfully they were all booked.

Dog friendly but dogs have to sit on the floor, whilst I fundamentally understand this rule our two dogs are very small and I would have sat them on our knees. The young lady behind the bar was very welcoming and polite making conversation and banter from the minute we walked through the door and the locals were very chatty and friendly, Although it was a 1 pint pit stop after a long afternoon it is highly recommended

Lovely traditional pub, visited for drinks almost every day during our week’s holiday. Very welcoming team behind the bar, relaxed atmosphere, and very clean and well looked after pub (including the loos!).

I went there last Saturday and was expecting the regular pub grub with sticky tables but was mistaken. Although a bit pricier than other pubs in my area (West Midlands) it was a positive surprise. I've ordered the Prince Burger, which had a much tastier and better seasoned burger patty than other places back home. My wife ordered the Steak and Ale Pie and it was also delicious. I would have ordered one to myself were I not full already =)
