Brilliant traditional pub and best in Farnborough. Good atmosphere. Friendly staff. Big range of ales! Great events throughout the year too.

Lovely pub with friendly service. Met friends here to catch up by an open fire. No annoying jukebox, so you can enjoy having a conversation.

Proper old fashioned pub. Friendly stead knowledgeable of the beers on tap. Good selection of lager and real ale. No food, but that's not what you come for. Small beer garden with a heater. Definitely recommended if you're passing through Farnborough North Station or live nearby.

Cosy little pub. Very dog friendly (doggy biscuits jars around the place). Nice open fireplace. Friendly staff. Small, nice atmosphere. Frequent by mainly locals. Don't serve food - yet. Seating in garden on good days and summer. Think parking around the back, but not difficult to find parking in the nearby streets.

One of the best pubs in Farnborough with plenty of beers on tap and a great atmosphere.

Down here for a quick weekend visit. It’s Sunday evening and a quiz is on. Locals 11/10 totally accepting and adorable. Bar team 11/10 knowledge and service Venue 11/10 exactly what you want from a locals local in the country. All in all for a few beers (excellent range) and a nice time this pub is excellent

Great pub offering an excellent range of drinks. No food though as it looks like the kitchen is closed.

Staff are great and there’s a good choice of drinks however it is small spaced, they don’t have food and the hours are reduced.

A real ale mecca around the corner from Farnborough North Station, with nine handpulls offering a mix of local and national breweries. Note that five handpulls face you on entry, but there is a smaller bar around the corner to the left where a further four can be found. Price per pint north of a fiver, but cushioned by the ambience of the place plus the very friendly staff.

The Prince of Wales pub near Farnborough North station no longer does food . A blackboard says food not currently available The opening hours are poor. Thursday to Sunday opn from lunchtime till11pm But Monday Tuesday and Wednesdat it only opens at 4.30 pm Thus my visit was a complete waste of time and travel money

Excellent ales in a real pub pub, unfortunately not being enjoyed by many on a Tuesday. Good job Yateley Morris Men turned up to swell the takings.

Outstanding and very welcoming pub. The one of the best I’ve seen outside of London. Definitely worth a try if you’re in the area.

Robbie server and Tom the chef were amazing! 10/10 food and service. Brought out all of our drinks and food on time. We got the massive Meat platter which was perfect. Thank you again we will be back

Visiting a friend and waiting at Farnborough North Station for collection. Bit cold so a quick Google search showed this as the local pub. Very friendly staff and so nice to see a vast selection of non standard drinks. A large wine or two before collection and a roaring fire makes for what pubs used to be. Well done and thank you for your kind hospitality

Pleasant pub, good range of beers, some familiar, some I have never heard of before. Lots of people in the pub know each other, but were happy to chat with us. Good place to visit.

At short notice, I arranged a wake here recently. The Staff were excellent and I was really pleased with both the reception and excellent service we received. Always liked this pub and they did us proud. Mum would have been stoked 😃

Great beer but the dogs have taken over thr place. Sitting on seats and tables, not very hygenic.

Currently 1am and they have allowed loud people still drinking in their beer garden. Not the first time the new owners have had a late night noise complaint. Last time they told another neighbour there's nothing they can do. I've got recordings and logged times, next time I'll just go to the council.

We are recognised. Dog is welcome. Lovely atmosphere. Love the fire and the dog biscuits.

Went to the beer festival. Brilliant choice of beer and the food was great.

Many years back this was a bastion of real ale in the local area. To a degree it still is if you like dreadful beers. The manager likes his beer, but anything drinkable was not available, just the beer festival leftovers. There's a reason they're left over - no one wants to drink them. So sad to think what has happened, but when you have an owner that doesn't care, kind of inevitable. Food? None, it was always poor but reflected drinkers, now none. Once a great pub, sadly no more.

Fabulous pub . Great beer festival

The PoW have put on a great beer festival in October for many years. However, this year's festival has left a bitter taste in my mouth due to the introduction of a stealth entry fee. The PoW have always charged a £2 refundable deposit for use of a glass with the festival logo, but this year they are charging a non-refundable £3 for an empty glass. OK if you're a glass collector I suppose, but does anyone else want to be walking home with a potentially lethal piece of glass in their pocket after they've had a few pints!

Superb selection of beer, very close to Farnborough North railway station

Went there recently with a few neighbours to sample the range of beers on tap. We didn't make it through all 21 taps; what a shame; we will just have to go back. Plenty of seating inside and outside. Cosy atmosphere.

Such a lovely pub, lots of ales. All the locals are very friendly (as are the staff and owner/manager) Super dog friendly!

As always a great selection of beers at a reasonable price and smile from behind the bar. Once a month on a Sunday they have a good informal quiz great fun with a pint.

Good old English pub every thing you need

Reserved a couple of tables for my daughter's birthday. Made to feel very welcome. Staff were great and enjoyed a sampling session of the latest selections on tap. Cracking evening. Highly recommend

It has a nice old feel and atmosphere, but the beer garden was disappointing. I did like the number of hogs back ales on tap

The stalwart Farnborough pub conveniently situated next to Farnborough North Rail Station. This pub has been good for many, many years.

Such a shame this lovely pub no longer has a car park.Too far to walk and too expensive to get a taxi everytime you want to pop in for a quick drink. Pub for locals only within walking distance...

My favourite pub in Farnborough for the last 38 years. And to the lady below who posted a one star review because the coffee wasn’t to her taste, please think before you give small local businesses bad reviews, they can make a huge difference. It’s a small, independent real-ale pub, not Starbucks.

Great independent pub with more choice of beer than you could ever wish. Traditionally an ale pub but nowadays offers a good selection of craft beers too. Warm friendly staff and atmosphere you will be glad you visited.

Very welcoming pub even with Covid restrictions, I was even welcome with someone else's lovely blue bulldog. Great selection of real ales and craft beers at sensible prices and plenty of choice for the conformists. Attentive service by the lady in pink with purple Vans boots 💜 Clean throughout and friendly fellow drinkers 🍺 No food on offer but I wasn't here for that, thanks a lot ladies 💯

The Princeof Wales is a great pub for any fans of real ale. They've turned the carpark into a lovely outdoor seating area and the staff are friendly and attentive while providing table service. They also have great recommendations if you fancy trying something new.

Great under cover seating. You must pre-book your table. Full table service and friendly staff. On cold nights they light little fire pits.

Only popped in for a quick one, and we were still forced to sit outside, but there was a nice big marquee with plenty of seating, the bar staff were friendly and efficient. We had the Chaos More Chaos, which was excellent. Looking forward to being allowed back indoors again soon.

Pub is handy for Farnborough North station and so convenient if meeting up with train travellers. Due to current Covid restrictions (as at April 2021), you have to book a table in advance online (easy to do). On arrival we were checked in by staff along the car park entrance (main pub door was shut). Encouraging to see that staff were adamant the relevant Covid precautions in respect of seating and mixing were being applied (a large group in front of us tried to get exempted!). Orders are taken at the table and a tab set up, with payment prior to departure. No requirement for masks when outside but had to be worn if visiting the rest rooms (conveniently just inside back door). Bookings are for 2hrs duration but I found out it can be 4hrs and seating is at tables in the car park (with a large covered area for inclement weather). Good selection of drinks available, including from a guest beer list (see my pic) - we sampled 3 pints and a whisky chaser during our 2hrs. Staff very pleasant and cheery plus service exceptionally quick when compared to normal bar service - to be honest I could get used to this arrangement (At least during summer months!!). No food currently served but there is a range of crisps, nuts etc available.
