The staff are always friendly, the coffee is great and the food absolutely delicious - the roasted aubergine is particularly good. It is excellent value for money and a great place to stop for lunch or a coffee and sweet treat.

You cannot beat this friendly, ambient, and atmospheric restaurant which serves food of superb quality without having to wait. It’s always busy which is testimony to its reputation as one of the best eateries in Orpington. We come here on a regular basis and never left without feeling welcomed and looked after. Try it. You will not be disappointed.

Primo Orpington is the best coffee shop you will find. The staff are friendly and nothing is too much trouble, the care for customers is without doubt genuine. I go here most mornings before work and always get a warm welcome, great service and a giggle.

Unfriendly staff. Huffing and puffing because we asked for a coffee 30 minutes before closing time. Grumpy. Made us feel unwelcome. Never again.

We visited this cafe for lunch and ordered the chicken wrap and coffees. Food was delicious and service great. Will definitely visit again if we’re in the area.

The number one coffee shop in Orpington. situated in the high street opposite McDonnalds. The choice of lunch time meals at an amazingly reasonably price are amongst the best lunches you will find anywhere. Its a must for a relaxing coffee break.

This was our first visit to Primo Caffe, from the outside you have no idea how big it is or how great it is.

I used to visit this cafe and enjoy lunch and the food and staff were very pleasant, but I've heard a few things about a certain (blonde) waitress, who I have seen recently. My dad had to wait at the till whilst she chatted to a customer for a long time (without having taken an order) whilst ignoring customers who were waiting.

I ordered flat white and given XXL large cappucino. I told the girl it isn’t a flat white but that’s OK. She started to yell at me like:’This is the way my boss wants us to do and this is the right way and I’ve been working here since 6 years and nobody complaint so far...’ and went on and on. She was literally shouting and it made me feel super uncomfortable. When I want to reply she didn’t listen to me or let me finish any of my sentences, at this point I just want her to stop and leave my table. Ofcourse coffee was cold by then and not drinkable. Would never go back nor suggest anyone to do so.

This is one of our favourites on the high street. The food is superb and the staff are so accommodating - nothing is ever too much to ask and always look after us well.

Primo is one of the best cafes in the High Street. The staff are very friendly and also polite. The cafe itself is very clean and tidy. The facilities are very well presented. We have also had outside catering from Cafe Primo and could not fault it in any way. Overall an excellent place to eat and meet me our friends

This place was a great find. They do a good range of Italian cafe food as well as jacket potatoes and breakfasts. I went for a salt beef panini which was actually a baguette however it was filled with plenty of meat (pastrami like) and pickles and it was served with a tasty Dijon mustard sauce and small amount of green salad. The cappuccino was very nice and service was friendly and efficient. If I come again I would try an Italian dish or a jacket potato which looked excellent.

It remains a joy to visit this café, and I do at least twice monthly although I live 6 miles away.

Whenever we call here we are welcomed by all of the friendly staff. The coffee is very reasonably priced as is the varied food available. ( you need to be here quite early for a pain au raisin!)

Came here a few times with my mum on her lunch break. The food was always good and a speedy friendly service. We normally had the jacket potatoes. Only one downside I would say is they don’t accept card.

Found the cafe in Tripadvisor whilst staying at Premier Inn. Great brunch, friendly staff who rearranged the tables to fit 6 of us in. Great coffee and selection of savoury and sweet brunch items on the menu.

Superb family run cafe bar, forget about your corporate chain coffee bars THIS is the place to be. Service is top notch, food is amazing - and the coffee, proper and not processed rubbish from 'those other shops'.

Absolutely love Primo I must have coffee there 3-4 times a week. They know me quite well that I don't have to place my order they know exactly what I want. The croissants are excellent along with there coffee. Lunch there is such a variety from pasta, paininis, jacket potatos. Lovely staff and a great atmosphere.

Visited today with my partner before we did a big shop in Tescos nearby. He's not usually keen on paninis but I persuaded him to try one with bacon, sliced boiled egg and sausage which he said was delicious and very fresh. I had bacon and cheese; the bacon is especially good. They also do a nice selection of pasta. Fantastic coffee and lovely smiley staff. You have to order food and drinks at the counter, take a number and find a seat but it all seems to run very efficiently. Lovely lady with glasses at the till today!

I'm a fairly regular customer ,visiting 2-3 times per week, mostly for coffee, which is by far the best in the area. Giovanni and his team run a very efficient and clean coffee house/ cafe which I cannot fault in any way. Keep it up!

I have used this café many times over the past few years and I never cease to be amazed at the great quality and value for money. The dishes are lovely (Escalope Milanese is my favourite, with salad) and varied at ridiculously small prices. Add to that great coffee with warm and cheerful service it means that I am always happy to travel 6 miles to enjoy this place!

Great location on the high street. Warm welcoming atmosphere . A great selection of English and Italian mains , salads and paninis and of course coffees. A great local coffee shop which I would highly recommend .

After reading the great reviews on the food and coffee here at Primo cafe I stopped in for a take out. Which was a good job seeing as there was no tables and they were so busy. Must be a reflection on the great food! So much to choose from. After queuing up and having a good look at everything I got to the till and was told cash payments only. This could have been sign posted somewhere!? Unless I missed it? But no problem, Londis next door has a free ATM. Came back again. Took a bacon, Brie & caramelised onion panini (I thought it was a baguette and wondered why I was waiting for it) and I took 2 lattes. £8 something. Not bad. Really lovely food. Really lovely coffee!! Such a busy cafe I personally wouldn't rush back, but I would recommend!

Often call in just for coffee but whether for a lunch or coffee service and quality always excellent. There is a wide choice of Italian and English cuisine, both cooked and cold. The staff are efficient and friendly

Went in with the family for a lunch time meal, and my husband liked it so much he now keeps wanting to go there. Since that first time 2 weeks ago he has been in there 4 times. They do lovely baguettes, Panini's and sandwiches alongside pasta dishes of the day, vegetarian stuff and Nona's Lasagna. The staff are really nice and friendly. If had a criticism, it would be that I would of liked a glass of beer or wine, and they are unlicensed.

Visited at lunch time. I asked the staff if they could make me something not on the menu which they did - as there was nothing that I liked (I'm a bit fussy) and I must say despite being charged quite a lot for what it was, it was very tasty and came out promptly. I would say it was a bit stuff but a good busy atmosphere and clearly is very popular.

All I can see is using microwave.that is very bad for health I can't believe my eyes are seeing these.

Enjoyed a "mother & daughter" lunch here yesterday, There was a wide and innovative selection of lunch items and drinks and once we'd requested and paid for our order at the counter these were brought over to our table. Our lunchtime extended into mid-afternoon and we had additional hot drinks (I had another Chai Latte - gorgeous!!)The place was initially very busy and quite noisy but it was a Friday lunchtime and it's clearly (and deservedly) a very popular place. All the staff were very professional, welcoming and keen to ensure we had a good experience.The selection of homemade cakes also looked tempting - we will return another day to sample them!

Walked passed this place this café many times, wish I had visited sooner! The coffee is really good and an excellent selection of food; everything from pasta to sandwiches, baguettes and paninis. Some are ready made if you're in a hurry but I ordered a brie and bacon panini which arrived quickly. Absolutely perfect and delicious bacon. My partner also had the bacon and said it was really good. Will be back asap.

Primo cafe is a great place to have a tasty snack or a delicious spaghetti bolognese.Managed by friendly guys the service is super.I also like the double macchiato I usually have with tasty blueberry muffin.

I recently used Primo Caffe for a drinks/buffet for 30 people. Giovanni and his staff provided the catering and I have to say that on all counts the food was excellent. He took the time and trouble to talk over my requirements as to choice and quantities. Some of the guests were vegetarian and once again this was not too much trouble. Needless to say there was not very much left over at the end of the day. I would recommend Primo Caffe to anyone who is thinking of holding a party of any description.

I visited here for the first time last Sunday. There was a group of 3 of us who'd been to the gym and wanted a quick bite to eat. They make nice homemade food for all types. I went for some homemade pasta spinach parcels. They heated them up and bought them to my table with the rest of the food and rink order. There are plenty of staff and the service is very good. It has a nice family feel to the place. I would certainly recommend visiting here if you're in the area. P.S the coffee cooler/milkshake they made me was to die for!

Love this place. Coffee is excellent, best I've tasted. Food ranges from just toast right up to a Good range of Italian pasta dishes, paninis and cakes. Giovanni and his staff are excellent. Busy buzzy friendly atmosphere. Reasonably priced too.

If you visit Orpington, you should not miss the Primo Caffe in the High Street. They serve excellent coffee (if that's all you want) but I recommend that you sample one of their excellent pasta dishes. You can choose from at least a dozen (maybe more) each of which is freshly prepared and served and piping hot.I guess that once you have been there you'lI make a return visit next time you're in town.

I cannot say enough great things about this place. The staff are so lovely and friendly, and give it a really family feel, and the whole place has a great atmosphere. The food is also absolutely delicious! The fresh pasta and paninis are gorgeous and not to mention the Cannolis and Coffee! Try and go to this place every other week!

My husband and I had lunch here on a Saturday. Our paninis were delicious and the staff was very friendly. This is my new favourite local cafe.

My mum takes my nan here every Friday for lunch, and they love it! Whenever I'm off work on a Friday I come down with them and I genuinely look forward to it. The food is fresh, can be made to your individual requests and the service is spot on. The owner of the cafe is a very hard worker and always greets and wishes people goodbye as they enter/leave the shop. The Italian theme is very homely and it is always buzzing in there. I love the coffee stamps too!

Had the chicken, bacon, brie and cranberry panini which was packed with filling and the kids had hot chocolates with a tower of cream and marshmallows. Good selection of Italian food too from arancini to canoli.

There are some 'greasy spoon' cafes and restaurants in Orpington but this is definately not one of them! I visited Primo Restaurant one lunchtime and was really impressed with the food and the friendliness of staff. The manager took time to explain the menu and was willing to let us have any variations even if they were not listed on the main menu.The food was excellent and good value for money and we would definitely re-visit.

This place is fantastic for Breakfast or Lunch 7 days a week. The atmosphere is perfect very nice and friendly. The staff are just wonderful. Also the coffee is much better than the well known chains. The food is extremely fresh just place your order take your number and find a table. This really is service with a smile.

I have coffee here three or four times a week. The coffee is reasonably priced (probably one of the cheapest in Orpington) and is very good - I am very fussy about my coffee! The staff are always friendly and attentive. I have from time to time had one of their home-made pastas. Again, this was excellent.

I work in Orpington and we visit here to eat 3/4 times a week. The staff are lovely and friendly and the food is so fresh, the best around Orpington! The specials are my favourite varying from prawn and avocado to the tuna salad and the presentation and quality is superb. No.1 restaurant to visit in Orpington perfect for lunches, desserts and a real good traditional Italian feel.

This is a modern cafe with home made food, super nice and caring staff. I went so many times. With my girlfriend, on my own to work on my laptop.... Nice terrace in front of you don't mind a little bit of traffic. Can't describe how good the food is.

We have been going to Primo cafe for a couple of years now and has become our Saturday afternoon tradition for lunch. The food is incredible, the staff are always extremely helpful and attentive and the service is second to none. We always feel so welcome and enjoy it every week!

Wonderful place. Always a busy buzz going on with a very popular clientele. The food is great, always a variety of delicious homemade pasta dishes, vegetarian choices, panini, bagels and cakes, complimented by a selection of coffees and teas. Service is exceptional - welcoming, engaging and attentive. Decor and comfort is good. There always seems to be a constant flow of people, but tables are found pretty quickly, even at peak lunch times. The Team of staff work to the high standards set by the Owner and this makes the place the success it deserves to be.

Does Orpington have more cafés/coffee bars than estate agents? It's a close run thing but Primo continues to lead the pack. It serves excellent coffee and well priced food all of very high quality. Regulars are greeted like family but everyone is assured of a warm welcome from the friendly and obliging staff. It can get very busy at times and sharing a table is occasionally necessary. This is a measure of just how popular Primo is with customers.

The only problem with this cafe is that it is too good and so even when other cafés on the street are empty you can end up queuing to get in!Amazing attentive service and energy/passion of staff and owner consistently turn simple home made pasta dishes and Paninis into something special.

It's a small bustling cafe. The food is excellent and reasonably priced, as are the drinks. The staff are lovely and the service is always consistent. It's quite a loud, fun atmosphere, if you fancy somewhere really quiet for a chat you might want to try elsewhere.

Great food and atmosphere. Perfect way to catch up with friends over good coffee. I had the parmigiana dish and my friend had a rustic bread baguette with Parma ham both were freshly made and delicious!!! Whenever visiting the in-laws, I come here for a coffee - It is one of those places that when so many other coffee establishments disappoint - you can be guaranteed a great coffee and service. The staff really enjoy working here, the boss works with the staff, and they are all very interactive and positive. The interior is modern and English but you can feel a deep Italian spirit in the service and operation. Many locals use primo, as it is personable and there is a wonderful vibrancy about the place.

This is my favourite cafe in my home town, Orpington. It's always busy and buzzing but that's because the staff are friendly (always remember you), the food is lovely and prices are excellent compared with the well-known chain cafes. It has a nice community feel which I like. My favourite dish is the chicken escalope served with cole slaw and salad. Yummy!

I visited for lunch with a friend. There was a big range of freshly made food both hot and cold. The owner and staff are very friendly and helpful. It is clean and has a comfortable friendly atmosphere. Would definitely go back.

15 minute waited bar to order then told it would be at least 30min for food. It was not that busy. Most spare tables had plates on them. Far too few staff.

What a lovely atmosphere, the staff are extremely friendly, the owner is certainly on the ball. If there's nothing on the menu you like he will try to make something up for you- nothing is too much trouble for any of the staff. Never tried this coffee shop in a town with loads of cafes. Saturday morning and fairly crowded. Queue short as they take your order - five you a numbered wooden spoon then you find a table. Upbeat and friendly staff and the Danish pastry was melt in the mouth fresh. Well done Primo - were coming here again!

I always have the chicken escalope when eating here. Today I had this with fruit skewer to follow. Service is always quick and efficient. A very wide range of food to choose from. Always busy so good to choose your timing and perhaps avoid peak lunch times.

Fantastic food, fabulous service and nothing is too much trouble. My mother cannot have tomatoes, and no one minded making a dish with no tomato sauce. Chai latte delicious and the smiley, cheery personal service is second to none! Thank you and keep up the personal touch!

This was recommended to me so I took a small group in for refreshments. The table was uncleaned with both wet rings and crumbs and although we ordered our drinks promptly some took a very lime to arrive and one person who ordered ice cream did not get hers until we had all finished our coffee and were ready to leave. I do hope this was a blip and not the usual service.
