Prezzo - Shepperton in Spelthorne

Shepperton is a lovely area and Prezzos was our choice to have lunch on Valentines day. Although I booked in advance I needn't have bothered as the place was quiet. The starters were decent Italian hummus and flatbread and the tomato bruschetta. Mains my kids went with the margarita pizza which was large and tasty. I went with spaghetti King prawns I would say this was ok. The best option was the pumpkin and ricotta ravioli which was delicious. Service was good we were checked on frequently. Cost wise not cheap but ok. Location has free nearby street parking or you can park at nearby Sainsburys supermarket.

Have been here quite often for a quick tasty meal and have never been disappointed. Good food and ambience and the staff and manager are all very friendly and helpful

Haven’t been to Prezzo for years but really pleasantly surprised. Food was good, portions great and also good service. An unexpectedly nice lunch with the family.

The staff were warm and welcoming. The choice of food OK if not expansive. A negative was they were already out of one of the dessert options and it was still early in the day.

We went to Prezzo today for a work Christmas meal. We ordered a wide variety of dishes and they were all really delicious. Service was swift and we couldn’t have asked for better service from the staff.

Very average food, expensive for the quality of the dishes. The Sea bass was tasteless and the Carbonara is not a carbonara. Will not return sadly based on the food. The service is friendly, restaurant is good for large groups and dishes can potentially suit all tastes. There’s room for improvement!

We went for dinner, the starters were nice although food came out very quickly (around 5 minutes after ordering). We ordered our mains which again came out very quickly. I ordered the truffle mac and cheese and my partner had a pasta dish too. After taking a bite of mine I had a strange taste in my mouth (like chemicals) - I asked my partner to try it and he immediately said it tasted odd. On close inspection, it looked like my pasta was slightly blue and I realised what I tasted could have been mould. I told the waitress it tasted odd and said the pasta looked like an odd colour but she responded saying it has mushroom in it which I didn't agree would make pasta a black/blue colour. Disappointing experience and they didn't even take anything off our bill apart from the mac and cheese which I obviously didn't eat. Don't waste your money and go to a proper Italian for the same price!!

Me and my friend went out for my birthday to prezzo in shepperton. The service was good at the start and food came relatively quickly. The food was lovely and really tasty. We then ordered desserts which again came quite quickly - they were also lovely. The only downsides were that after the desserts were taken away the service to get the bill was quite a long time. Another thing that was a bit strange was that the manager pulled out a vape and started vaping in-front of everyone whilst he was going to get food to serve a table. I don’t know if that’s normal but just a bit odd?

First class friendly service. Completely understood my coeliac condition. I ate with confidence my gluten free and gluten free prepared starter and main. The food was fresh, hot and delicious. Will definitely be returning. Well done to the chef and servers.

Due to lack of staff we waited 2 hours for food and some food were tuff won’t be going again😰 altogether we were there 3 hours with young children was no fun it was my grandchildren’s birthday treat

Visited last night with my son, daughter-in-law and two young grandchildren. The little ones had a three course set menu which they thoroughly enjoyed along with the rest of us. The service was excellent and the lady serving us also showed great patience in dealing with us. It was busy on a Monday evening, which is a true reflection on how popular the place is. We will definitely be returning.

We had a Buyagift voucher as a present - great value: 3 courses on set menu and a drink each with choice of Glass of wine, a small Peroni or soft drink. We also ordered extra drinks and olives. Restaurant is welcoming and clean. Alex served us all evening and was phenomenal-despite the place getting really busy, he remained attentive and friendly at all times. Food was hot, decent portions and freshly cooked. My husband never eats Italian but was so impressed we’ll be coming back. Great night

Five of us had a great lunch to celebrate a birthday. The food was lovely as usual and we had the complimentary bottle of prosecco on offer for birthdays. The manager was very kind and gave us excellent service. Three of our party had not been before but were very impressed and will certainly be returning.

To be honest I was torn between a three bubble and four bubble review, but plumped for a four bubble! I've eaten at a couple of Prezzo's in central London in the last year, for quick pre-theatre meals, and these were good and did the job, so we booked for a small family Sunday lunchtime meal at this, our local branch. It's spacious, light, nicely laid out and well-decorated, and on a Sunday lunchtime the parking in Shepperton High Street is easy as many shops aren't open, and we were able to park very close by. The menu is the same as at all Prezzo's, so having eaten at others in recent months I knew what to expect. The food is tasty and nicely presented, though the biggest problem with it is that there is far too much! The starters (for example the bruschetta, and the cheese bites) are twice the size a starter should be, or used to be, and then when you receive your main, even the ‘smaller’ pizza and pasta that come with salad are far bigger portions than they need to be, and are very hard to manage! None of us were able to manage desserts – Prezzo as a chain are missing a trick here as the price paid for the dishes is as expected and so if the portions were smaller, but we paid the same price, they would make more money due to us having room for desserts! This isn’t a criticism of this particular branch as of course portion sizes are determined by the chain (although these seemed larger portions than we had received last year at the West End branches). Service was adequate only, with the waitress who delivered our meals to the table looking as if she would rather be anywhere else, and then spending time when not delivering meals sitting scrolling through her phone in view of our table. Admittedly there were only another couple of tables in, so there wasn’t much for her to do, but it looks unprofessional and I’m sure she would rather have been given some kind of other task to do by the management, as she probably felt awkward. Looking occupied yet approachable is a valuable skill to learn! Also we specifically ordered one of our accompanying salads for the 'smaller' pizza/pasta meals to come without dressing, and one with. They both came with dressing, so one had to be returned to presumably have the salad scraped off then undressed salad replaced! Had the restaurant been busy this oversight would have been OK, but it was disappointing as it was quiet. There was also a longer than expected gap before the last two mains out of the six came out. If there was a check back or offer of more drinks I wasn't aware of it, and no extras, such as parmesan for the pasta, were offered when we received our meals. This is a popular local restaurant and the reason it was quieter on the Sunday we ate there was because it had been Mothering Sunday the week before, for which they had been fully booked, so I’m not taking away from that – it’s probably particularly good if you have younger children. It was also very good value using the deal we had with a well-known financial comparison site! It was pleasant enough but I wouldn’t rush to return as there are plenty of similar restaurants in our area, but I think that with some small tweaks they could be much better (though only Head Office can sort out the portion sizes problem)! We’ll pop back at some point no doubt.

Lovely bright and spacious restaurant. Alex, the asst. manager was our server and he was brilliant - so friendly and just generally a nice bloke. Food was delicious - we all had pizzas and the deserts - honeycomb cheesecake and sticky toffee pud were delicious....

Paid 50 quid for 4 pizza and 2 chips to be delivered and after waiting an hr and half we got delivered 4 cold pizza and chips with hardly any toppings on them.. Total rip off and dreadful quality.. Lesson learned.. Won't be using again

I have been here a few times. As usual it was quite busy. The service was friendly but not always efficient. I had to ask several times for the right cutlery and for more water. The baked mushrooms seemed a bit different to before when I had them and the portion was very small, although they were quite tasty. I had been looking forward all week to a lobster ravioli but they had none!! I had prawns and pasta which was nice but not as good as the ravioli. The chocolate tart was nice.

Prezzo is our nearest restaurant and we go fairly often. The atmospherer is always good,the staff nice and the food just what you would expect. I am always happy with the quality and variation. The only thing that I would say is - my husband always complains about the price of the wine and beer.

We took 12 kids for our daughters’ 13th birthday. That is not an easy one and team were so friendly and helpful - even developing origami skills as in the photo of Emma!

The last time I went to Prezzo was a very unsatisfactory experience so I was reluctant to give them another go but faced with few options I persisted and I am DELIGHTED that I did.This time was back to the Prezzo I remember, friendly but unobtrusive service and good quality food at reasonable prices.

I purchased a gift experience from Buyagift for a Three Course Meal with wine. We went to the restaurant in Shepperton. The staff were very helpful and the food had a good choice of food, which was of excellent quality. This was very nicely presented. This was also of excellent value for money. Booking was made on line and this was very easy to do at short notice.

It's hard to do Italian without flair but these guys manage it. Slow and grumpy service doesn't help.

Asked for the bill with a discount card and the waiter just brought back a larger bill with more drinks and food so asked again and the same happened, still didn’t get the discount, won’t go back

Have visited before and always left satisfied and latest visit was no different. Food was piping hot and well presented and was good value when using one of their deals. Service was good - especially from Gemma who has served us before - however we did note that they turned many customers away even though there were plenty of empty tables - which would suggest they are short staffed. Will definitely go back again but will make sure we book just to be safe.

The restaurant was roughly half full so had a nice atmosphere. I got the impression that the kitchen staff were struggling with the orders as things were a little slow. We were there appx 2 hours which could have been cut a little shorter had the staff been a little more cohesive in their approach.Once our food came it was delicious and enjoyed by us all and our visit was complimented by Matt who was clearly holding the show together, worked hard to make our evening an enjoyable one, was friendly and great with our children. I wish him well in his job with Prezzo, Shepperton.

Very mediocre. Waited ages for drinks and to give order, despite it being very quiet. Side salad was just a small bowl of rocket with some Parmesan. Not good value, £38 for one course and one drink each. Will not rush back.

I had high expectations of this restaurant prior to my visit. They have exceptional gluten free, vegan and vegetarian options. Would like to see lactose free eventually but most restaurants do not cater for most yet. We ordered Pellegrino sparkling water to drink. The glasses contained ice but the water was warm, I should have complained but didn’t. I ordered the gluten free penna arrabbiata with chicken. It had no chilli spice and the chicken was chewy. The staff were ok but not very happy.

My husband and I enjoyed two very different meals at Pretoria recently. They were both really lovely. We were served by a delightful girl called Gemma. Really friendly and professional. Will definitely go back.

Waitress was lovely. Food was very poor quality. We had the salmon and king prawn risotto which the rice was very under cooked and over seasoned with pepper. And the bolenese penne was soggy and unpleasant tasting. Disappointed

We came here for my son’s 9th birthday. When we booked the table a week in advance, we said that it was for his birthday. When we arrived, we said to the person leading us to the table that it was his birthday. We didn’t necessarily expect balloons, as in other restaurants, but some recognition would have been nice. In the past they have bought a candle out on a dessert, just as a small token of celebration. However, nothing at all was mentioned. He even opened some birthday cards and we sung happy birthday, but again, nothing from Prezzo.

I’ve read other reviews and some experienced the same as us and others have been lucky and enjoyed their visit. We are easy going and not demanding in any way - we just like friendly service.

I was here last night, for Valentines. In which they had a special set menu, where you could pick either two of three courses. We opted for the three which was a very reasonable price of £20. For starters I had a breaded mozzarella which was far better than expected, as when I first looked at it, it looked similar to a 'McDonald's cheese dipper'. However it was far tastier and obviously better ingredients. For main I had one of the two pizzas on offer on the set menu, where I opted for the - Margherita Royale Prestigio, which was basically a margheritta which burrata cheese and basil pesto, being the main difference. For dessert I opted for the honeycomb smash cheescake. Every course I had was really good, and I finished everything on the plate! The service was really good and the waiting staff were pleasant, as well as the ambiance being good inside. I would highly recommend going to Prezzo Shepperton.

We often go to this prezzo as it’s one of the best, we always get good d service. We go about w times a week.

We have visited this Prezzo numerous times over the years and the food and service has always been good. There have been a few changes in the menu and they now have a set 2 or 3 course menu which is good value. The staff are very helpful and attentive. It tends to be our family's number one choice for a local restaurant.

This is our go to resturant for various family meals. Food is always superb and the staff are excellent. Lovely and clean with a great amhience. Highly recommend this to anyone.

Have been to Prezzos a number of times here and it’s always good. I believe the manager has been there a while and so it’s consistently good. They are very good for wheat free food and always have good alternatives, also you can often download a voucher which saves a bit of money. I would recommended it for a reasonable meal, it’s not posh as it is part of a chain. But highly recommended

I, and my family decided to go to the Prezzo restaurant in Shepperton for a late Sunday Lunch. On arrival we were welcomed and quickly shown to a table.

I work for a company which orders takeout from the Shepperton branch of Prezzo semi-regularly, and today was a Prezzo day. My meal (the salmon fillet) was pretty good, a little over cooked but nothing to complain about. Until I found a large, sharp bone. Unfortunately I didn’t find the bone until I swallowed, so I now have a large scratch down the back of my throat and pain on swallowing, and this doesn’t even begin to cover the couple of hours it took to stop tearing its way down to my stomach. Salmon fillet should, as the name suggests, have all bones removed. Nowhere on the online menu did it warn that there may be bones remaining but I’m realistic, some little ones may slip through. However bones large enough to cause pain and injury being missed? That’s nothing short of negligent. I’m sorely (forgive the pun) disappointed.

10 of us had a fantastic dinner at Prezzo, friendly staff who were very attentive! Would recommend the restaurant every time!!

We got off to a bad start when we were told there was no sauvignon blanc 10 mins after we ordered it. Despite being only half full service was slow albeit the staff were pleasant and the food nice . We will go back as previously everything has been very good but feel a bit let down on this occasion without being able to to identify any one thing.

Late decision to for a meal here. Phoned up and very accommodating in reserving a table. Super service. Garlic bread & stuffed mushrooms plus stuffed pizza and chicken pasta. A very nice meal. Thanks.

My 1st time in Prezzo and was really impressed, it was very clean, really quick service, the food was lovely, the kids also loved the food and the staff were very friendly.if in the area again i would definitely visit.

We are visiting this place on a regular basis, and I recommend it to everyone who loves the Italian kitchen, because the food is really lovely, and everythingvis very clean which is also very important yo me. The service as well, they are very friendly. I love fruit the mer, but not every place you can get good one, but here the chef makes it really fantastic, as well as the other dishes. For me is 5 star!

Booked a table for 10 people last Sunday early evening to celebrate my birthday with my family, a mix of adults and children.

Table booked - none of us ordered alcohol but of the 6 of us, 3 ended up with upset stomachs. One of us ordered the chicken Caesar salad- it was served drenched in ranch dressing and chit was dry as a bone. The bruschetta was a flatbread with oil and garlic, and the spaghetti with meatballs was awful! My prawns were in a tomato sauce that was almost entirely tomato paste and the roasted bevy were incinerated!

Comfortable surroundings, easy access, friendly staff and good choice of food for what is,essentially, a nice local restaurant.

It is a Prezzo and that is not meant to be a criticism. I find them good and this was one of the better ones I've been to.

We had an excellent 3 course meal through buy a gift which proved excellent value. We went early Sunday evening, the restaurant was as always fairly busy yet we were well cared for. Our choice of mains were spaghetti bolognes and spicy pizza. Both were excellent . Service was very good and we would reccomend eating there to anyone.

We had a table for three, booked at 6pm. We arrived on time and were seated straight away. Drinks orders were taken, as were food orders. This was all done in a timely fashion. Our starters arrived quickly, as well as our mains, I can’t complain about the food, it was delicious!

Been here before and had poor service but thought we would give it another go. Service again terrible. Obviously short staffed. Apparently a member of staff had called in sick but to be fair they could have done with at least 3 more waiting staff. Food was nice but service just not good enough. Could see out drinks sitting on the bar for ages and had to get up and nudge a waiter to bring them over. Will try another branch next time

Our first experience of Prezzo was the Falmouth restaurant which has recently closed down as part of the Prezzo group shake up. The Shepperton Prezzo was not up to the usual standard. The menu was very much reduced with only one grilled chicken option; this wasn't my favourite Chicken Calabrese unfortunately. I chose the Chicken with mushrooms in Masala and was doubly disappointed: firstly the chicken fillet was not only tiny but hugely over cooked and rubbery. The truffle fries barely tasted of truffle. I did not find the staff overly friendly either but that may have been a view tainted by the rubber chicken. Prezzo really need to pull their socks up if the whole chain is not to go under completely.

The food was very nice however the atmosphere in the restaurant was spoilt by music being too loud and the wrong type of music. Surely no one goes out to try and talk over banal music or hear the constant base in the background. When we politely asked for it to be turned down it was but it was turned up again. There are speakers everywhere so is hard to find a seat away from it. When we mentioned it the manager was quite abrupt and said it could not be turned down anymore. No one asks for it but it is just inflicted on customers. We shall not be going back.

Seems to have gone down hill over the years, use to be really nice for a birthday meal, or New Years Eve, or just to go out for a change, but last two visits spoil by children's parties, I know a great place to take them but would be better in seating area away from dinners who have just come for a nice meal to catch up with friends or family, last twice could not able to hear your self speak, first time though just unlucky with timing, but second time took visitors and felt embrarrased with choice, so will not be returning.

Visited this restaurant with friends for the first time and was very impressed especially with setting which was beautiful on a lovely summer evening. The grounds are large with a lovely lake. The restaurant looks like a log cabin and is very cosy inside. The food was very good though my husband didn't enjoy the sole which was covered in a cheese and mushroom sauce, he said it was very sickly.. But our starter of calamari was very good and my seafood pasta excellent. Our friends enjoyed their meals too. It had a varied menu with meat and a lot of seafood which suited us. And the service was also very good but the restaurant lacked any atmosphere as it was very quiet and nearly empty, this may have been because it was a weekday and the weekends maybe better. Because the restaurant is away from the road and hidden behind foliage it could easily be missed, but now we know where it is we will go back. But be aware that it is only open certain days during the week, so check out on website before visiting.

Another great afternoon/evening in Prezzo, great Pizza and cold beers with mates. The food as always was excellent and the staff were as usual happy, friendly and only too happy to look after us

I love Mediterranean food and I do tend to be quite picky with restaurants that say they make nice food but their taste isn't quite there because they use the wrong ingredients and then expect the outcome to be the same.. but this restaurant is the exact opposite, they pay attention to detail, and even understand the importance of the quality of the bottled water served with the meal. The food was beautiful, the staff was very friendly, there was enough parking, the restaurant wasn't too packed, the portions were just right, and the decoration is very well thought and classy. Will definitely recommend it and will most certainty go back when in town.

We were on our way from London to Stonehenge and decided to take an exit and look for a place for lunch. To our delight, we walked by Prezzo ( had not heard of it before). It looked welcoming and the menu delicious. we were there with three teenagers and we all had a fantastic meal. We ordered garlic bread and olives, both delicious. Each kid got pizza or pasta that they enjoyed and completed their meals ( always a good sign when kids are eating in another country). My husband and I got the delicious caesar salad and I got a classic pizza. The service was outstanding, timely and friendly. we could not have asked for a better, easier stop!

The food was tasty,the staff were warm and welcoming although I didn't detect their Caribbean uniqueness,they tried their best to assist in making the best menu choices;all in all a place I would recommend. The ultimate experience really for great Caribbean food is by actually going there,where you can get live,the most authentic delights to treat the senses. My first stop would be Trinidad and Tobago.

The food here was very nice this visit was my first to a Prezzo. I started with a prawns in a tomato sauce. It was very nice and followed with a burger. Also very nice! My girlfriend had some pasta she loved it. She loves Prezzo says it's her number one restaurant. The staff at this Prezzo were brilliant! Very fast and helpful.. very happy as well. Thank you
