Prezzo - Cardiff St. David's in Cardiff

Pizza was dry and hard to eat. Pasta choice was spaghetti and rigatoni, but not fresh egg pasta, just an ordinary dry boiled pasta. Staff was friendly Tiramisu was like jelly, definitely not a typical Italian. 2 starters 4 mains, water £140 before tip.

Lovely place, food was amazing and the waitress was a credit to Prezzo. Very professional, friendly and a great smile. Thank you Grace for making my dinning experience very enjoyable.

I popped into the Prezzo based in St David's 2 recently before going to the Cinema. I ordered the Spaghetti with King Prawns for a change and I have to say it was excellent. Really tasty. Lots of King Prawns and Chilli. Prezzo now has Poretti on draught which is a class lager. Can't fault that. All the Staff in this branch of Prezzo are really friendly and helpful which makes a visit that much better.

Attractive decor and smart vibes, and also pretty good service. I was lured by the free Prosecco offered on joining Prezzo, but all in all the food didn’t blow my mind. The menu was very varied and interesting, so I decided the goat’s cheese bruschetta and olives to start. The former was piping hot and tasty but too small. The latter were dry, shrivelled and overall off the mark. My main, the Tuscan sauce with lentil, looked appetising but had no wow factor: those sausages could have come from any ordinary supermarket, but I expected them to be tender and flavoursome. I really feel this is a point for improvement. The house white was also insipid. I would imagine the pizza here is good given the classic Italian pizza oven that is used, but I wanted to try something more off piste here and was unfortunately not particularly taken. Perhaps the kitchen was having a bad day?

The best part of visiting Prezzo was the service. 2 young waiters were so lovely and friendly and made the experience so pleasant. The food was pretty good too, but the service was great.

I ordered the chicken Imbocca and I will describe the plate to you . Firstly cold plate . Secondly as a cook a Potato Al forno is a gratin of potato . I received ONE small lukewarm boiled , dry hassleback potato . No seasoning , no oil , no butter . Just dry and cold . Chicken cooked okay but again lukewarm . A paltry licking of sauce and a pancetta slice that was so brittle it crumbled to pieces also a small wedge of cabbage . With a whisper of charring but was a cold green flaccid vegetable . I am so annoyed to part with £18.50 . I would advise do not order this . My husbands burger he said was flavourful however the portion of chips were so mean they looked silly on the plate . I feel robbed of my money and For a first visit this will be my last . I would stick to the pizzas and garlic bread as I saw other tables had only ordered this .

Amazing food selection and fantastic service.

The restraunt was clean and welcoming, the staff were on point regarding allergies. The starter of mini beef ravioli was delicious, and the main was tasty and well presented (not too over filling that I couldn't fit in desert) the desert of biscof cheesecake was a delight. Lewis our server was pleasant and earned a well deserved tip. Over all I'd definatley recommend eating here. Ps I wasn't paid to leave such a good review, if it was a terrible experience I would 100% say this to save someone else having a bad experience. Thanks all 😊

The restaurant is situated in the shopping centre. Staff were friendly and welcoming. Good selection on the menu - we enjoyed olives to share plus hummus and flat bread. Calzone and a very flavoursome pasta with salmon. Reasonably priced for the quality of the food. We visited on a Wednesday early evening and although quiet when we arrived the restaurant soon filled up and had a good atmosphere

Great food and amazing cocktails, problems with seating however as we got an email changing how many people were allowed to actually book from 6 to 2 people, 30 minutes before. Also, one of my friends' food came 10min after everyone else had been served their food.

I came here with a group of friends at 7pm on Saturday. I have never tasted an Arrabiata so bland in my life. I ordered the Rigatoni Arrabiata initially and when it arrived the Rigatoni was so overcooked it was falling to pieces. I told the Waitress that it was overcooked and if I could have another one. She promptly took it away and returned explaining that they had a problem with the Rigatoni and if I had that again it would be the same - overcooked. Surely a Chef in an Italian restaurant should know how to cook Pasta properly!! Anyway, I had a Spaghetti version and it was so bland. I ate it all because I was so hungry, but there was no kick to it whatsoever. I would not recommend anyone who actually knows how Italian food is supposed to be cooked and taste, eat here. Over priced and over cooked. I won’t be eating here again. The staff were excellent, lovely, polite and patient considering how busy it was in there, so five stars for them. Zero stars for the food.

Always a lovely experience in Prezzo. We had a voucher which took 25% off and the food was excellent.

A nice place to eat with good service and reasonably priced. No steps to consider and access is easy for those with mobility issues. I had the Chicken, Prosciutto and Sage Saltimbocca which was very delicious. Cheesecake for dessert. No long wait for your food once you placed your order. Waiters were friendly and efficient. I recommend a visit and I'll be back to try something different next time. Thank you!

Got severe food positioning after around 2-3 hours of eating here. I had spag bowl which wasn’t massively warm but I don’t like complaining. However, I was very ill overnight. I will not be eating here again sadly

The ladies were super super attentive and sweet - Michela. However, Ollie who gave us the bill was unfortunately not. We did not get any service from him, he decided to throw the bill at us with some hostility. He did not speak to us or even ask if we wanted anything else (which we did). But because he was so rude we just paid and left instead. If it wasn’t for that interaction I would have gotten a few more drinks. But disappointed:(

I Didn't have a booking, asked for a table on the off chance was seated inside family of 3, we had a fantastic meal, I was expecting aright chain style food but I must say the service and the food was awesome. The children's 3 course for £7.50 excellent value I had chicken in a mushroom sauce and my mother had chicken Alfredo. Exceeded my expectations really enjoyed lunch here at prezzo we will be back.

Visited on the night cold play was on and booked a table for 4 people @430pm. Unfortunately things were not really great. The food was perfect no complaints sadly what let it down was lack of communication. The starters came in a timely manner however a long wait for mains. When queried we were told the delay was due to ensuring the chicken was fully cooked and the fact we ordered 4 different meals ( all on the menu ). 5 minutes later a second lot of starters arrived ! When queried about the further wait the waitress became defensive and rude despite me calmly pointing out a error had occurred due to 2 lots of starters. The manager then spoke with us explained that the kitchen was under extreme pressure due to staffing. Whilst I fully appreciate this it is more helpful to be open and honest at a earlier point so we could of made a informed decision. The manger was fully apologetic and didn’t charge us for the meal which was a very good gesture. I am hopeful this was just one of those days

The second time we come here and we leave very happy. Excellent quality of the pizzas in particular we liked Goat cheese & peppers. Louis offered us a very nice service and the place has a good atmosphere. Would recommend

Very yummy food. I loved the atmosphere in this restaurant. Me and my partner visited whilst out shopping and I had the Penne Arribiata with chicken which was just lovely! Great quality food, at decent prices! Would visit again.

Gave it 4* due to having a good eat first time round, food tasted amazing, pud topped it off and service was A** (left fat and full). Went again today and had the same meal, unfortunately they had run out of the sauce, so made it bland. I was asked if I wanted ceaser dressing or balsamic and oil (nice thought) but oil tastes nasty and balsamic pissed out everywhere and rhe Chicken was over cooked. I was asked at the end if I had enjoyed it and told the fella that served us all of the above (I may have been a bit annoyed) so apologies to him for that. He then said I didn't have to pay for the meal as I had had such a bad experience. (very shocked). I would consider going back despite everything. Due to how good it was the first time.

Fab service at Prezzo, Cardiff yesterday evening. We had been to do an escape room and were struggling to find a table anywhere for food after. Fortunately Prezzo had room and were very accommodating. Staff were fab - attentive but not intrusive - very friendly and polite. It was very busy and despite this we were not waiting long for our drinks and meals. I had the crispy fried mozzarella to start and my boyfriend had the prawns and gnocchi - both starters were delicious and hot on arrival to the table. For main we both has lasagne, which is always perfect at Prezzo - piping hot, rich, cheesy and delicious - honestly Prezzo lasagne just beats all! My boyfriend also had a side of fries and enjoyed those too. Food and service were both exceptional - thank you very much!

Booked a table for 11.45am on a Saturday for lunch as this was the only time available for booking online. Used Tesco vouchers which made the lunch great value and it was no trouble to use the vouchers. Service was good. Good value kids menu, £7.25 for starter, main, dessert and drink. Lots of choice for children. My daughter had the burger, which was a good sized portion, lots of fries, but no veg or beans. The main menu is pretty basic. I had a goats cheese and pepper pizza, which was ok. Not much cheese on it.

Servers were polite and friendly. Food was served hot, fresh and very quickly. We tried the calamari, Brushstrokes, pasta, pizza and Calzone and it was all lovely. Used Tesco points to pay which helped as its quite pricey (but no more expensive than any of the other places around) . I'd definitely return.

The service was good. Check backs, was asked for deserts. The food was also okay, nothing special. The table seats were in a really awkward position. Put inbetween 2 large familys even though other tables were available. Decent visit. Wasnt bad,but wasnt good either.

I have no issues with the taste food or service, but disappointing news for fans of the Sea Bass. The Sea Bass no longer comes with potatoes or green beans etc. It just comes with a small mixture of chopped tomatoes, a couple of olives, a tiny hint of aubergine and loads of rocket lettuce. Not worth the £19. My advice, go for something else on the menu!

Just OK - it used to be great - bit disappointing

The food was great. One waitress had a foul attitude, and was quite rude when we were paying, so we left in quite a bad mood although the food was lovely. The other waiters were ok although they were quite busy so we didn't get much service.

Booked a table, glad we did as the Christmas shoppers were out in force. Lovely friendly server (didn't catch their name). Drinks were very expensive (soft drinks). Really disappointed that I wasn't allowed to use a voucher to claim a birthday prosecco alongside tesco club card points; especially when clubcard points can't be used on drinks anyway. Just feel like their trying to catch you put rather than actually encourage you in with a free gift. Even with club card points I felt it was very expensive. Nearly £30 pp for 1 soft drink a starters and a main. Calamari was amazing! The mozarella were awful, think they'd bought on 3 for 2 in Tesco, id argue that they probably weren't even mozarella. The mains were nice- burger, chicken milanese, pasta dishes. The place was boiling hot!!! Even the staff looked like they were too hot bless them. Overall most of the food was tasty, the server was great but it was expensive and I was disappointed about the vouchers- it would probably stop me returning as I'd look for better offers elsewhere.

Great meal and good value. Staff attentive and helped us celebrate my grandsons birthday with a cake.

This has to be the best Prezzo we have been to. Excellent friendly ‘on the ball’ efficient staff. Prompt ordering and delivery of food and drinks. Food very presentable and delicious. Regular pizza was large. All three courses taken were lovely. Prices have risen but to be expected discounted with Tastecard so exceptional value.

Went for breakfast, and it was not busy at all, but took over half an hour for food to arrive. My brother and sister in law bought us vouchers for Christmas and finally got to use them on 21st November at Prezzo. We've had a fabulous evening. The customer service was superb! My husband had the Penne arribiata and I had the spaghetti bolognese both delicious. The honeycomb cheesecake and Tiramisu were also delicious! Just wanted to say thank you to the team for wonderful customer service and fantastic meal.

We tried to call to book but no one picked up so we turned up with small kids for dinner and had to wait around 20 mins for a table. Slightly frustrating as the online booking system didn't work either. We were pleased to see that there was lots of room between tables upstairs where we were seated. I had a voucher code from Kidstart but was very frustrated that, for some reason, they couldn't apply the voucher code and had actually never heard of it. We ended up paying full whack for a very average (as we knew) place to eat. The food was fine - we knew what we were getting - but since we chose it hoping it would have been a cheap option, we left very disappointed. Otherwise good service and attentive staff.
