Prezzo in Braintree

I popped in today with a friend for lunch..not booked..was told there'd be a little wait which was no problem as having a catch up with a friend..the server Alana was very busy being the only team member today..she was very attentive..ensuring that all guests in the restaurant were catered for..asked about an allergies and then checked to ensure food ordered was suitable. When the food arrived it was hot...very tasty..we were checked on to make sure all was OK.. we then had the lemon meringue for afters which was amazing! All in all a very good service was given..Well done Alana! And thank you too to the hard working kitchen team..Bellissimo!

Great meal with family. Food is lovely and the service is great. Always helpful by making changes to accommodate my childrens food requests. Big hit with my children, they love a prezzo. The Witham one in particular :) best prezzo we’ve eaten in.

We visit Prezzo in Witham often & always have a great experience. The staff are always very welcoming & accommodating. The Biscoff Cheesecake is out of this world!

While the staff were all very friendly and welcoming there were a few elements that let them down. The food was yummy but the order was slow to be taken. The drinks order was taken in good time but took 20 minutes to be served, and when served items were missed. That being said, the staff were lovely. We were not a small table, we did have children with us and they made us feel very welcome. It was a little busy for mid week which might explain the slowness. If you are looking for a special night out perhaps this would not be my 1st choice, however for a family get together i would be happy to visit again, it does the job well. A good range of options, child friendly and you know what to expect.

A local chain restaurant, was not very busy but the welcome was friendly as normal. I was met and served by Georgina who made me very welcome, service given was excellent and not intrusive

This was actually our first visit to Prezzo Witham and overall we were very impressed. All the staff were amazing, very polite, attentive and efficient. I would particularly like to mention Weronika and Georgia. Weronika was our server and was obviously working really hard as it was super busy. Despite this she was always very pleasant and an excellent waitress. Georgia was on drinks and seemed to have everything in hand. The kitchen staff were also working well too as we didn’t have to wait long for our food.! This was hot and very tasty and reasonably priced. So all round this was definitely 10/10!

Just home after a fantastic visit, Lesley served us this evening and she is the most patient server I have had the pleasure of being served by at the Witham branch. Food was OK, but Lesley really made our night, we visited with family and after my uncle commented about the cappuccino, she went above and beyond and whilst he 'was a grumpy old man' (our words, all humour) she ensured in the best way he met his match, she was awesome (fab customer service and again all humour) Goes to show, the staff really do make a visit thank you so much.

Absolutely love visiting this restaurant. I have visited many times since this Prezzo’s opened and they are consistently great. I visited this evening for a dinner with my son and we enjoyed a 2 course meal. I tried the new Pumpkin & Ricotta Ravioli and it was so delicious and well presented. My son had the lasagne (I had a bite and it was very tasty!). We also stayed for dessert and had the gelato ice cream. Creamy, sweet and delicious! Our server Hannah H was lovely. Attentive and friendly. We really enjoyed our mid-week dinner out and will visit again soon!

We used to eat out every week and here all the time pre Covid. After shielding and still 'at risk' due to being immuno suppressed, a meal out is now a treat. Lovely meal out last night. Staff lovely and nothing's too much trouble. Our waitress Hannah was efficient, helpful and an asset to the staff. Thank you for making, what is a rare night out for us now, so enjoyable. Rushed from the minute we walked in the door, on an evening out it’s nice to chat and catch up with family members, not be asked 3 times in 5 mins what do you want to order (we’d already ordered and got our drinks) and the place was less than a quarter full. Ordered the Chicken Alfredo Tagliatelle, it was tasteless, watery, just bland even after asking for extra parmesan to mix in with it. Definitely won’t be returning and it’s a shame as we’ve always had nice times before.

So disappointed. We usually love this Prezzos. We’ve always found it rather overpriced but they usually offer vouchers/taste card so, you can get a better deal. Sadly, today I’ve changed my opinion and I will not return. My 80yr old mother, myself & my 16yr daughter were out celebrating my daughters exam results. Within 20mins of us being there a party of about 10 kids and 4 women (presumably their mothers) came in. These kids were wild!!! Screaming, climbing on the furniture out of control! Seeing they sat almost opposite, we asked to be moved a bit further down as we couldn’t hear our own conversation. It made no difference at all?! The waitress was also embarrassed due to the noise, it was just awful!! We also found out that one of the ‘Mothers’ sitting chatting on a separate table with her adult company, actually works there!! £100 later after such a miserable, noisy lunch. My mum asked these women if they had any regard for fellow diners? To which one of them replied, “Kids are welcome here too.” Yes, lady, they are. I actually love children. However if any of my children or grandchildren behaved like that? Id try and find much cheaper options, where noisy, rowdy behaviour is more tolerated. Seeing as one of you works there and are probably getting your meal as cheap as can be anyway? Have some regard for the honest paying customer. Whom, I must say, has their lunch ruined due to your lack of parental control! In these times £100 for a meal out is a hell of a lot of money. It was supposed to be something special for us, you totally ruined it! And for the record, most of the fellow diners in earshot to your table (how could anyone not be?!) we’re sitting there shaking their heads too.

It was our child's birthday week and we were looking forward to a nice family meal out. We all like Italian and this place looked busy. We were sat down quickly and drinks orders placed. We were in a nice booth sitting area. Our children had a strawberry milkshake but it came in a milk carton which I find a bit odd for a restaurant. It was nice to have a vegetarian and vegan menu. We ordered from the children's menu and two arrabiatas and a carbonara. The breaded mozzarella starters were not very tasty, probably defrosted and from a packet. The arriabatas were partly cold, dry and not spicy. The carbanara had an okay sauce just needed seasoning added but the chicken pieces had neededto be prepared like frying with seasoning. The children's pizza was also poor. It was pale base, with some tomato paste and grated pale cheese on it not toasted. I mistakenly thought it would be a bit like a Marguerita. The children's sorbet had an odd back taste. They had the cleaning products and cloths piled up on the hatch near to us. They had a big hand sanitizer at the front door but it was empty. The staff were friendly and helpful. For a fun birthday meal it was sadly disappointing.

Great food and excellent service considering the size of our group and the fact we had to change the date of our visit at very short notice.

Our favourite Prezzo by far. Lovely restaurant, food is always good and service is excellent. Veronica (think she’s the manager, if not she should be) is exceptional, such a good host. We are regulars and she remembers our drinks orders and is great at suggesting food to try. We visit every couple of weeks, always have a lovely time.

This is our first choice for family meals as the staff are great and the food delicious. Sadly the cannelloni is not on the menu anymore, please bring it back soon. Looking forward to visiting again at Xmas

Visited this Prezzo with my partner to catch up with friends before Christmas. We had booked our table in advance and received a warm welcome from staff.We decided to share garlic bread as a starter and we all ordered something different for mains and desserts. I personally chose Spaghetti Bolognese, which was served hot and tasted delicious, followed by cheesecake, also tasting great. My only small complaint would be that it would have been nice to have a little extra bolognese sauce with the spaghetti . Also, my partners salmon fillet was quite small for the price paid.However, we all enjoyed our meals and found staff to be polite and friendly and we were not rushed at all throughout the evening, allowing us to enjoy a lovely evening. Will visit again when looking to meet up for dinner in Witham.

Good food and good service but do not get sat by the kitchen! We were right next the the plate clearing area. The noises of plates being stacked, food being scraped off did little for conversation and the general atmosphere. At one point there was no more room to stack up anymore!Hardly a romantic setting for conversation and dining.

My husband and I have been to Prezzo in Witham last weekend. We hardly ever choose Italian as we find it boring however this time it was far from being boring! We have had some tasty food and drinks but also customer service was really outstanding. I believe we were being served by Paulina but also Veronika served some of our food too. The girls make a great team, they are knowledgeable and very pleasant to talk to. We could see how well they’ve been doing with other tables around too! What a great atmosphere! I am glad we have chosen Italian that day and will definitely be coming back soon hoping to be served by these team members again! Well done and keep up!!

We visited as we had some Tesco vouchers to use, this particular Prezzo seems to have a better feel than a few we have been in and the staff were particularly accommodating. I had the Calamari, which although not the prettiest looking dish, it was enjoyable. We both ordered a pizza and it was lovely and had a nice thin base. I'm not 100% convinced it's the best Italian in the area, but we did have a lovely meal in a nice surrounding.

Staff are very helpful and friendly. Food was lovely and all meals served at the same time (table of 5)which is great service as I’m never impressed when one persons meal comes out at different time! Very relaxed atmosphere. Will definitely return.

Another visit to this branch of Prezzo, again it was very good. This restaurant has improved a lot over the last year. Plenty of choice on the menu, our food was well cooked, hot and nicely presented. All the staff are very friendly and polite. A clean, spacious, air conditioned restaurant. Clean toilets and plenty of free parking. Recommended

Very good service and food very good. Staff very friendly. I have used this Prezzo for many years and it has improved a lot.

We came for dinner it was very good. This restaurant has got better and better over the last year. Outdoor was nicely presented, hot and well cooked. Good portion sizes. Service was quick and efficient. The restaurant is spacious, clean and air conditioned. Toilets are clean and tidy, parking outside. All the staff are very friendly and polite. We come here quite often, if we weren't happy, we wouldn't come back. Recommended

Joana was our server. She appeared to be the Manager as well. She explained there was no draught beer and very little cold wine as she had been let down by her suppliers. She appeared genuinely sorry and also really up against it. Despite this she was soldiering on against the odds. Our meals were fine, we didn't have as much beer as we would have liked (perhaps not a bad thing) but we will go back because Joana and her staff are triers.

I usually enjoy a trip to Prezzo but my main today was so bad that it let the whole experience down. I've scored it 3/5 because the service, price and portions were good. If I was going just based on the quality of the food, it would probably be 1/5.

I called the restaurant back in April to arrange a booking in May for 21 people, due to the size of the table we wanted to pre-order to save any hassle on the day.

Went Saturday table at 6pm as had two granddaughter's with us I went there on my own with two balloons and a cake as a surprise for my daughter. first she couldn't find us on there table plan then I pointed out my name she sat me down and I waited 10 minutes without anyone coming over I then called to over to a waiter and asked if I could get a drink the rest of my party then arrived and sat down again had to asked for menus and a drink service is absolutely shocking! nobody asks if you need anything else I have to say there was one young lady blonde hair and she was very intensive but for the rest of the staff it was appalling I've been here a few times and every time the service has been shocking I think that will probably be my last visit and totally spoiled our birthday celebrations. I work in this trade and that is the first thing we do when we sit customers down ask if they would like a drink not leave them sitting there for 20 minutes and have to get come and get us very bad!!!!!!!

Me and my wife decided to try prezzo Witham and are we glad we did not only was the server a blonde lady with a lovely hand tattoo didn’t catch her name, simply superb but the food was delicious, our server she is a credit to the team and the chefs are decent as well

I went to this restaurant couple of times and gets better all the time. Came in a weekend and the environment was amazing and we had a lovely waitress called Raphela that’s made us feel welcome and was an extra to this restaurant and I’ll definitely going back again as food and service were amazing.

we made a visit to the Maldon branch. We had a drink 1 of them was a 7up that was hot to the touch and on saying about it was told they could bring more ice it was flat and told the fridge was not working but on asking for a coke that we could have.

Visited this Prezzo for the first time on Friday night and had a really nice evening. It was very busy but service was really friendly and quick. My pizza was the nicest I’ve had in a long while and everyone else at our table seemed happy with theirs. We will definitely return.

Today we visited for our sons 7th birthday with 8 friends. We had excellent service and attention. A pile of plates were placed next to the cake without us asking. They all had a great time. Thank you to the staff.

We haven't visited this Prezzo for a long time, due to a couple of bad experiences. Well our visit today was completely different. Very good service, our waiter Tomas was very friendly, helpful and polite. My dinner was the best meal I've ever had at any Prezzo. The restaurant was very busy, always a good sign. This is a clean, spacious restaurant with clean toilets. There is parking outside or a couple of minutes walk away. Recommended

Reserved table yesterday night. The restaurant was super busy, but the team managed well.

Much improved visit here today albeit the online reservation we made had not gone through so lucky we managed to get a table for seven of us. Food and service very good food all hot and very quickly served. Polite staff.

We booked online a table for 2 for 8pm we arrived at 7:50 and they didn’t know anything about the booking and then we had to wait at least 1/2hr to get served and then after receiving our drink had to wait a further 1/2hr to order food and when it arrived mine was very hot but my other halves as cold I know they were busy but not happy as we were going to book tables for a birthday party there

Went last night, first time in ages for me. Current menu much better / more varied than it's predecessor. Our three pasta meals were very good, especially the lobster and crab ravioli.

Unfortunately food not up to scratch . Horrible frozen calamari with a hair in it . Chicken in the salad was rock hard and brown coloured ? Sea bass obviously frozen and very dry plus chips were cold . Mini dessert was ok but the coffee served with it was only luke warm . Staff slow and not very apologetic. Didn’t pay in full for the meals but overall unacceptable. Definitely won’t be going back .

Went to Witham Prezzo and tried new salmon dish that looked so nice on menu but was not oven baked just fried with almost raw vegetables and undercooked fries and swimming in saffron sauce .Ordered meal and was served meal within 10 minutes of being in restaurant and meal was so bland . They have heating on so hot in restaurant too and this needs to be turned down in temperature !!! Would stick to ordering pasta and pizza only thing Prezzo can do and try to stagger meal as they want you to just get your meal over with as soon as possible !!!!

We were a table of four and shown to table straight away as it was prebooked. Great service throughout . A little pricey but food was excellent spaghetti carbonara was the best I’ve had in a while , only thing is range of desserts could be better .

Prezzo is my number one choice for food in Witham and the food was faultless however today I was appalled by the service. There were only 2 other tables of guests in at this time and they had left by the time we had finished our food so we were then the only table in the restaurant but, for some strange reason, our dirty plates were sat in front of us for approx 15 minutes before being cleared.

We enjoyed a smooth running, excellent meal and nothing was too much trouble for Monalisa and Catalin, our waiting staff. There were a lot of us at one table but they were considerate about latecomers, particular orders and using discount vouchers. Thanks guys for a really lovely evening - one which all the mums are keen to repeat!!

Prezzo seems to have a very consistent standard wherever it is, the food is as good as any other Prezzo as is the service and obviously the prices are the same too. The best thing about Witham Prezzo is how nice it looks on the high street and inside.

Have visited this restaurant once before for a very quick meal and were pleased, tonight we were meeting a friend and were happy to take our time. The service was first class, friendly and attentive without any suggestion that we were being rushed.

For my works night out we went to prezzo . You all had a ball !! Staff were brilliant all night and very patient with us all . Food was fantastic and good cocktails . This was the first time I had been in prezzo and I was very impressed with their high standard

Great atmosphere in a clean, welcoming restaurant. Staff are very friendly, polite and helpful. The food was delicous and excellent value for money. We chose off the Christmas menu which had a great choice, catering for everyone in our party. Nothing was rushed making us feel comfortable.

I really love the pizzas at prezzo always full of flavour and fresh usually come once a week and have never been disappointed with the food

Hubby suggested coming here for a meal. I had the tee gusti pizza , it’s not cheap but certainly very nice . Plenty of chicken and pepperoni so I would say it was worth the money in the end . Hubby had chicken avocado salad which he loved . Great ambience and staff were nice . To sum up it was a splendid visit
