Pret a Manger in Cambridge

Enes has been very helpful and nice this morning. I really appreciate his recommendation and help. Thank you for being so kind.

From the perspective of a student trying to get work done, this place blows. There are no outlets or WiFi, and the coffee doesn’t make it worth it when there are better places in town such as Savino’s. If you are a tourist or just looking to get an average cup of coffee to go it isn’t so bad.

Visited on a busy Saturday in March - with my 13 year old daughter plus a friend of hers. Very busy - not well organised. It was OK - I am certain that there are better options.

We've got the prett app and use it regularly, make some great savings on the road. We love the cheese and pickle sandwich and wish they did other sandwiches in the same bread. Don't overlook the salads, all great.

It’s not like other coffee chains, better. All day fresh food and quality coffee every time.

Nice and comfortable Pret in the middle of the city. Staff is generally friendly but changes a lot time by time, however, the regular and permanent staff is friendly despite the challenging nature of their job. The place usually kept clean and tidy. It's located on ground floor but there are extra seats available upstairs. Ground floor is accessible and spacious though. Drinks not the best but the food is tasty and not overpriced. I can recommend it.

Worst flat white in Cambridge. Unfortunate because in london there is usually a 50 percent chance of a good one at pret. So many better options in Cambridge though

Always enjoy a lunch visit in Pret, highly recommend this establishment, good atmosphere, friendly staff and fresh food.

Generally good, staff are nice and drinks are quick. I knocked a bit off as there are very few power outlets upstairs and the wifi is extremely slow/weak. If those could be solved then it would be a five star experience!

De prijs/kwaliteit verhouding is prima voor de sandwich. Het is fijn dat je niet perse hoeft te blijven en je je belegde boterham mee kan nemen voor onderweg. Binnen eten is ook mogelijk, hiervoor betaal je extra. Service was oké. Het terras nodigt uit voor mensen die elders eten gekocht hebben en ervan willen genieten.

For a chain, the food is always fresh and good. The service is ok and the restaurant is fine and functional but nothing special.

Pls just teach your staff about the Pret app already. They don't know that one can use it only to collect points, WITHOUT SUBSCRIPTION. Every time I scan the qr, they start saying my subscription is cancelled or that I can't use it for food. Well I don't need the subscription as this Pret is too far for me to go to every day, but I don't mind earning perks when I do pop in. But honestly, it's easier to never scan the app, cause every time, for over a year now, they're acting as if I'm trying to get the food for free))

The staff are very kind and friendly I want to thank the staff for being so honest and helpful, I left my phone there and the next day they had kept it safe for me until I picked it up . Also many thanks to Natalie who helped me with my subscription app when I first joined. I am sorry to hear she is leaving she was a credit to the company.

Good sandwiches. Unfriendly staff. No toilet facilities (closed for some time). Tired decor.

Music so loud upstairs you can’t think, let alone talk or work. Go Costa across the road instead.

Toilets not working for years now. Service is slow even when the place is empty. Dirty tables. Upstairs space closing 45 min before coffee closes.

So it serves coffee & a bit of food, but the place is grubby & overrun by individual students monopolising tables so they can use the free WiFi consequently very limited space for paying customers. Sort it out Pret & watch your turnover increase!

Toilets closed, despite sitting down and eating. Poor form

First time back here this morning with my family. Boys loved their croissants and OJ, probably the best chocolate croissant we’ve eaten!! Coffee was decent too.

Pret. The cofee tastes like asphalt but the Earl Grey is surprisingly really nice. Worth stealing a subscription for. Food: Curry Bowl, Coconut & Turmeric Sweet Potato - 7/10. The sweet potato curry itself is really nice actually - curry leaf and sweet peppers. But the rice is rather horrendous - starchy and grainy short grain rice. Pretty disappointing, could be greatly elevated with some decent rice. Strangely enough I think this one's nicer cold. Hot wrap, Swedish meatball - 6.5/10 definitely not the worst thing I've had Soup, Chicken Laksa - 7/10, definitely not laksa, more of a Thai yellow curry - very lime leaf heavy. But decent. Nice mild heat to it too.

Ordered a few items via Deliveroo out of which one was missing even though it was listed in the receipt sent along with the order. Had a really bad time trying to get a refund for the mistake from Pret a Manger’s end. The value of the missing item was small but the troubles that Deliveroo made me go through just to get it resolved (which it still isn’t) was really off-putting! Will never order from here.

A great place for a quiet coffee

I love to eat here and grab my coffee every week but for months the toilets are not working or no working properly. The upstairs toilet it has been broken for monthsnow and the one the ground floor; lights are broken, hand dryer is off / not working and there is is no towels to dry your hands.

Love to stop for a quick bite and a drink

Usual branch had closed which is a real shame. This branch was only a short walk away but totally different. Food average, tables unchecked for spills etc, atmosphere nil. Both toilets out of action. All in all not a very good experience.

Disappointing in contrast to all Pret branches you'd usually come across [in London]. It's a different franchise owner. American Express not accepted, slow service - they never have enough staff on in the mornings.

Great location in centre of town and the usual great range of sandwiches expected from Pret. Unfortunately, I contracted food poisoning from a Naked Katsu chicken baguette, prior to Pret recalling their chicken products, albeit at the time it wasn't obvious there was an issue. I like Pret but wonder if their quality control system may require a review? Unlikely to stop me from revisiting though when things settle down.

Have had better food in other Prets. This one in Cambridge was busy but looked a bit dowdy

My favourite shop when it comes to breakfast, lunch or just snack. So much variety and high quality food. Highly recommended.

Food and coffee ☕ very nice but very full of students

Pret was always my go to placefor coffee and a sandwich, however on my last two visits I found it dirty, staff were very unfriendly and not a great choice of sandwiches. The quality of the sandwiches wasn't great and the overall atmosphere wasn't great either.

Disappointing, closing much earlier than hours stated on Facebook and their web-site.

Pretty standard Pret with usual selection of food which, I like. Trouble getting a seat as full of students taking up tables 'working' on laptops..

Okay. Croissants are not great, as they're not freshly baked.

Struggle a little bit with this Pret. Staff seem so grumpy all the time. Fair enough it’s 8am but a smile or a laugh from the morning team would go a long way to making it a much nicer atmosphere.

Decet coffee, sandwiches and cakes in the heart of Cambridge.

I visited the Pret Manger Opposite M&S. Cambridge. Food was good as usual. The tables were very messy and not very inviting not cleared away not being wiped. If I call there again I will probably have take away in future, not a practice to invite new customers. My thoughts were if front of house is like this whats are the practices like in the kitchen and food area.

Have both lovely and terrible staff.

My go to place for lunch breaks. Their mango banana sunshine bowl is a true delight. Also one of my favourite hot meals is their macaroni cheese prosciutto. Don’t forget to try their fruit salads, warm sandwiches, and chocolate filled croissants. They add great amount of fruits and vegetables in their products which I like.

Typical Prets but this one was very dirty and unhygienic. Toilet out of order, rubbish on tables and floor. Not a nice place.

I wish they re-opened the branch in Peterborough as this is my favourite place for lunch

Visited here yesterday for lunch and wouldn't eat inside again. Table had not been cleaned and the upstairs generally just looked like everywhere needed a really good clean and wipe over (not the feeling you want to get in these times!). Toastie was thrown in the bag and was soggy. Wished I had gone elsewhere to be frank.

I’m sitting upstairs with my food and coffee watching 11 students taking up all the other tables with laptops open and and empty paper cups while many customers keep coming up holding drinks and food looking for somewhere to sit! Go somewhere else if you want to sit and eat. This is so wrong!

I had a really bad customer experience. A waitress was very rude to me. She sounded French and had centre parted dark blonde hair. I'm not going back.

Had an espresso today with a piece of plastic inside. The barista yelled at me for being too slow to pick it up from the counter too.

Eggcellent very berry jam croissant. You wouldn't know it was vegan! Have had plenty of times and will have plenty more

Usual Pret quality coffee. Extremely fast service (it took about 60 seconds to receive my coffee after placing the order). Used the coffee subscription for the first time and had no issues. Easy to use, you scan the QR code yourself. Good social distancing measures in place.

Love Pret, always get customer service

This shop continues to offer exceptional service and food. I am so happy they've reopened!!! I just wish customers were more respectful of the social distancing once in store. The staff are all amazing and they are doing a smashing job! AND Pret in Market street are now doing delivery of hot food IN THE EVENING - that's pretty awesome! Will defo try that.

La comida está bien y los locales muy bien preparados. Lo único "malo" que podría añadir es el precio, quizá un poco elevado para el tipo de comida que sirven.

Opted for the falafel, avocado and chipotle flat bread wrap which I’ve had before in other Pret shops. This one was very poorly constructed and had way too much filling. As good as that can be, it was messy and required a knife and fork, literally, to pick it all up. Yeah, it is tasty but the craftsmanship of the wrap was lowly. If I had taken-out instead of sitting in, it would’ve been a disaster eating on the go. Paying the premium to eat in was worthwhile when it all poured out. Completely unmanageable.

Extremely efficient lunch option. This one also has a good coffee and service

Visité Pret en Cambridge hoy. Compré el sándwich de pavo de Navidad. Al abrir el paquete descubrí un cabello largo. ¡Le llevé el cabello y el sándwich al gerente solo para que me dijeran que los empleados en la cocina no tenían cabello largo! ! ! Mi cabello es mucho más corto que dicho cabello. Mirando alrededor pude ver al menos 2 empleados con cabello largo. Cuando mencioné que tenía la evidencia en la mano, el gerente me ofreció un intercambio de sándwich y no me disculpé.

Love the staff here, always relaxed and friendly, special mention for the lovely Lena and her technicolour hair. I might come here more often, just for her and the Capuccino.

We went there and the food was absolutely lovley but there is a minimum amount of chairs so we had to stand for a little while!!

Nics Prets in centre of Cambridge, just off the market place. Seating outside at the front to watch the world go by.

Soy cliente de Pret A Manger desde hace más de 3 años en el centro de Lion Yard, Cambridge. Disfruté de la comida y el buen servicio, pero hoy me decepcionó mucho. Esta mañana alrededor de las 11. 30 am Un personal masculino fue antipático en el mostrador del cajero.Puse la comida en el mostrador de la caja y dije para llevar y un personal masculino (piel bronceada y pequeña) me gritó, me dijo hola por qué no dijiste nada y luego gimió mientras yo hacía un pago. ¡Me miró como si les pidiera comida gratis! ¡No estuvo bien! ¡No debería comportarse así con el cliente! Mal servicio. ¡Mal comportamiento!
