We visited today for a couple of coffees and were served by Constance. She really brightened our day. Thanks for the great experience 🙂

Always gauranteed lovely bowl of vegan soup and delicious coffee. Never dissapoints.

Absolutely horrendous. Coffee is always extremely hot to the point that you can’t drink it for the next 30 min. Really rude staff behind the counter. Very unpleasant and abrupt. Nothing like the other store on Deansgate. They’re brilliant and friendly. Consider sending some staff there to learn how to make coffees and treat people.

Pret never disappoints and has a great menu with variety and depth. In particular, the "Posh Cheddar Baguette" is a personal favourite, served with some cheese crisps and washed down with an americano! This is followed by an almond croissant🥐😋

Worst Pret in the country! Dangerous to the general public. Genuinely put an almond croissant in my bag when I wasn’t looking. I’m deadly allergic so best believe I didn’t ask for that. Before that horrible situation I was charged DINE IN prices when I told them I was taking out. Absolute shambles. Terrible establishment.

Surrounded by the homeless who came in and stole sandwiches and soup while everyone watched. The staff only spoke to them from the door while the thieves blatantly ate their Pret sandwiches across a side street and laughed ! Homeless man also given the key for the mother and baby toilet in Pret which he then left open !!! Why? Definitely not the place to go !

Went in here to treat myself, as I know the price is higher than other places for such little products. Ordered an iced mocha and I received a drink which was warm/humid room temp milk with ice dropped in it!! Tasted horrible! not one bit of chocolate taste in it and was very week on the coffee aswell. Thats not how an iced coffee is made. Pret fizzy can drinks are nice thats all i can say. I will stick to cafe Neros iced coffees, they are much better and have better selection on sweet treats. The product needs to match the price in pret!

Absolutely disgraceful is customer service has disappeared or just no manners?Do they have think they own the place ohh no because if they did they would know not to have such an attitude towards customers as they wouldn’t have any gong in there

You can get a group of coffee baristas to make the same latte coffee, yet there are differences in the quality of the taste, There is always one Barista that stands out in Manchester, Casey has that magic touch her coffee's are always really special. The staff are especially friendly,it is my favourite coffee shop

Service was fast and friendly. I enjoyed a Welcome cup of tea and a roll at a fair price.

Ths is the best Pret. Hayley and all the staff super friendly and they make the best coffee ever. Love coming here it is the best.

Toilets “out of order”. No one believes this, so why peddle this insulting fiction to customers (which based on other reviews has been ongoing for months)?

I’m always happy at this Pret. Efficient service and friendly staff. Today- I noticed how politely and professionally the staff treated a very rude and passive aggressive customer. Testament to their skills jn customer service ! 👏🏽😀

Prices have gone up a lot recently but the quality has gone down. Smaller portions and everything hot seems to be dry and overcooked.

Beware the charity scam in this store. You go to pay using the card reader. Right next to it is another bigger card reader that will take £5 off your card without you authorising it. This card reader took £5 off me even though my card was on the correct card reader for payment of my drinks. The store cannot refund your money if this happens. A clever scam.

A little expensive for a coffee, small pasta and crisp. It was clean. Wasn't a que and served quickly.

i was going to comment on how pret a manger was american and i was surprised by the obsession with prets in the uk, but i was proven wrong with a swift google search. my bad guys. every day i debate getting the coffee subscription here but i never get my coffee from pret anyways so im not sure if it is worth it. however if i got a coffee subscription here like i would go to pret more and it could become a part of my morning routine. not sure what to do, what do you guys think?

Very loud music, staff joking, laughing loud and shouting like they’re at their own home. You wouldn’t want to come here for a cup of coffee. It’s a daytime night club.

Plus = Okay coffee, great food, convenient, warm. Minus = toilets out of order last 5 visits (3 weeks). Cafe doors often left open spewing heat to outdoors.

Like pret over all the other chain style coffee shops. Good service, and reasonable priced.

good coffee shop especially if you have the Pret subscription. I like ordering the oat latte! There's usually tables and you receive your order quickly. Great range of food even at the end of the day.

We went here yesterday after being recommended by another restaurant. I chose Mac n cheese from the hot counter, what a waste of time and money. It was dry and tepid, not hot as it advertises. My partner took it back as it was barely warm to be told there’s nothing they can do. No apology, nothing. So I then went up and explained that I couldn’t eat it as it was hard and dry round the edges and cold, to which Bernadetta explained, “it’s not cold it’s warm”. I said it’s advertised as hot food so could they please warm it up, which they wouldn’t do, so I requested a refund. I was then told they couldn’t do a refund unless the person that purchased it requested it. STILL NO APOLOGY AT THIS POINT! I then got my partners card (he was eating his roll and watching my daughter who was also eating). Bernia then refunded the card and no apology. Nothing was offered as an alternative and no concern for a disgruntled customer. To pay £6.45 for what should have been a nice pasta snack was disgusting. How can they change such prices for food I’d not even give my dog. On top of this, the tables weren’t clean, we had to clear our own table and when I went to take my daughter to the toilet, they were blocked off and was told they can’t be used. I would not visit here again if it was the only place to eat. I’ve only given it 1 point as it won’t let me done none.

This is the best Pret in the city by far. As other reviews mention, the staff are always friendly, the coffee is good and the queues often small. Being in the centre of town it can busy at lunch but the staff are as efficient as possible, I've never waited more than 5 minutes even at peak times. What makes this Pret stand out is its staff. I work here often and it's a pleasure to see the staff enjoying their day, clearly there is a great camaraderie amongst the team. It's a far cry from other Prets in the city- notably that at University Green, where the store is crowded, queues can go on for 20 minutes or more, and the staff seem overwhelmed. In complete contrast, I cannot speak highly enough of this Pret and I'd encourage you to support this business if you're hankering for a quick caffeine fix!

Feel lucky to have this one so close to work as it by far has the most pleasant staff of the stores in Manchester, they're always so friendly and it's not an easy town to work in service. And besides that, it's always super clean. Bonus. Would also like to mention that I tried some new food items this visit, one of which was a soup and was happy to see the cutlery has been swapped out to wooden from plastic. Small change but appreciated when you consider how many stores they have, how many bits of plastic removed.

Hi I just wanted to thank Pret for the great food and staff. Today i invited my friend with her daughters to have lunch and Zain’s customer service was excellent. He made sure our tables were cleaned before we sat down and asked us if we were comfortable there. Thank you Zain because my friend said i took her to a nice place. All the best.

I come in here 3 sometimes. 4 times a week. I can honestly say this is the BEST Pret in Manchester. Zain and all the staff super friendly. Zain always remembers our order and service with a big smile and Benedetta makes the best lattes! Buzzing and positive vibe from everyone.

Come in here quite often but honestly - @ the weekend staff member Zain - if you don't like working there, there's plenty of other jobs around. Stop treating customers with absolute contempt. Every customer, every time I'm in. Honestly the very sight of him makes me angry - he hates being here, hates customers, likes to laugh behind customers and managers back - he makes my skin crawl!!!

Popped in here because my favourite Costa in Next is currently closed. Bought a skinny flat white which was served in a plastic breaker. It was without doubt the worst flat white I've ever tasted, and I have drunk hundreds and hundreds in the UK and Europe. It tasted like warm milk into which a few granules of instant coffee had been stirred. I was charged £3.30 for that appalling drink. I will never return.

Ideally situated on Cross Street. Very friendly and welcoming staff and a nice clean store. ♿ Disabled access is available. Usual array of good quality sandwiches 🥪 wraps 🌯 soups 🍵 salads 🥗 paninis 🥙 pastries 🥐 cookies 🍪 cakes 🍰 and fruit 🍌🍏🍇 Oh, the coffee is lovely too! ☕😋

Nice food and atmosphere, but overpriced

the product is good but the venue is not relaxing. Staff seem very stressed out. Had to send filter coffee back twice as it was weak. I like the ingredients in Pret but perhaps they need more staff to put customer service as a priority. I wish the staff who do work at Pret all the best because they try hard. They just need another staff member employed to help with busy times.

Always a safe bet, good coffee and a panini served well even at 10 minutes before closing.

Staff in here don't appear to have any idea of customer service. They were mumbling responses to us and didn't seem to care about us in the slightest. Many tables hadn't been wiped down and only disabled toilet was functioning in which there was awful smell and leaked hand soap all over the surfaces. The drinks were fine but not a vibe in this Pret at all.

When looking for a sandwich or light breakfast I head to Pret. This store has plenty of room and lots of choice. Does get busy at lunch but you won't wait long to be served staff helpful and professional. I really like the house filter coffee, good brew and cheap. Recommended

Normally a huge Pret fan but wow I am shocked at how much all has gone downhill! V little food to choose from, terrible selection, toilet broken, disabled toilet filthy, such a shame. I guess it's packed lunch time 😂 And so expensive for a tea and sandwich.....

if you are an early bird with a taste for fresh sandwich & coffee in the morning, you may kindly be asked to come back in 30 mins depending on your bite of choice. still, nonetheless, crisp baguette and tasty ingrediants beats the morning pulse for what it often turns out to be a pleasant get away,,, sayy, on Friday mornings :)

Coffee machine was broken when we were there. Food was nice. 3 people with laptops and no drinks, occupying 3 tables, left seating very limited

Have to wait half an hour between drinks on subscription even when there is no queue... COLM the barista was a really excellent manager though🤷‍♂️

Honestly, absolute terrible service every time I go. Ordered my drink, they had about 3 people all rotating jobs so no one knew what was going on. I waited 15 mins for my drink and the employees just kept looking at me, not a single ounce of customer service in their bones. I'll go to the Arndale Pret in future as they're always so efficient and friendly.

Dirty - tables needed cleaning, stairs filthy. Only the start of the day too.

This Pret really saved my bacon today- I'd ordered online for an office lunch and the online system hadn't taken the payment (at no fault of the individual store). The staff pulled it out the bag and put together the food despite this, and turned a tricky situation around. Thank you so much for your help!

10/10 I got the free trial while in Manchester and now Costa Starbucks and the rest are dead to me now on one hand it's amazing on the other you've just made my life harder with no pret's nearby hahaha

I like to add my own milk to my tea. Today it had been put in for me without being asked and it was more like drinking warm milk than tea. My wife had a latte that was also cold. No excuses as it was not even busy.

Easy simple food nice calm atmosphere good coffee that's now for the moment 89p and 99p normally. Never a bad sandwich so far and I've been to this pret each weekend for 3+years probably longer.

Disgusting attitude! 1) forgot to make coffee,so we had to wait for 20 minutes, 2) no apologies... Took them another 10 minutes to make coffee, 3) so while we were waiting 30 minutes for drinks altogether--we finished our sandwiches. my husband was standing near the counter all this time and wanted to buy some more food to go with a coffee and cashier told him to stand at the end of the queue. Shocking service

For a pret, below average. Walk an extra 10 mins and find a good one.

Pretty cheap and nice drinks and food

I went here quite a few times during lockdown to get out of the house. The serving staff are genuinely friendly, the cafe was always clean and the food and drink were always yummy. Well done people! I do however agree with a previous reviewer about the bossy self-important guy being abrasive with his ‘Covid instructions’! That said, it’s been tough on customer service staff in this mad, mad summer, folk are stressed and these guys are (mainly) smiling through it to keep us fed and watered. You’re off the hook, bossy self-important guy! Have a delicious Pret organic coffee! Decaffeinated. Obvs.

were in a giant mess with covid , I wouldn't even consider criticizing Pret as they are doing what they can in extreme circumstances , what I See is an innovative company getting on with it, if You have not tried their most fantastic Berry Blast you do not know what you are missing its spectacular, their Posh cheddar and pickle ,the Lobster Roll both properly filled and amazing , I dare anyone to find a better almond Croissant, of all the coffee shops in the UK Pret is without a doubt the best, whats more they constantly try imaginative ways to keep customers not just with new food and drink ideas but interesting promotions which no other coffee groups ever consider , I wish they had a branch near where I lived i would be there very very frequently , the staff in cross st and at the trafford centre work very hard under trying conditions to give good service and maintain a friendly attitude during these difficult times.
