Premier Inn in Portsmouth

yesterday I forgot my double plug and telephone cable in the socket in the hotel room. I told a colleague to ask at the reception, I thought they would give it back to me.. My charger was an expensive one, so the hotel replaced it... I tried to complain to them on the website, but no answer.

Excellent experience as I stayed for 5 days. Great breakfast and service all round. Cant fault Premier Inn!

A fairly standard Premier Inn in terms of comfort and amenities, but lots of little issues throughout. Room stayed in had a strong bleach/chemical smell that failed to go away. Unable to open the window to get some air flow. If something could have been broken, it was. Lift had buttons not working, both check-in machines in reception were broken, table lamp didn't work, air-con control had cracks, and coat hooks were falling off. Only minor, but all add up to make it feel quite a run down hotel. Receptionist was fine, but felt like she had better things to do. Location was pretty good, being right next to the train station. Didn't hear any trains or traffic so soundproofing was decent.

Good breakfast, has everything I want, nice selection of food. sometimes hard to find staff in the morning and can be cold in the seating area, strong A/C.

4 night stay. Good location and was very quiet for the location,we expected noise from the trains but there was none. Great location to see victoria park and all the shops and all the buses and taxis and right on the door step. No charge on the H1 bus if you are going to the Hoverport in south sea, another surprise. Like most inner city premier Inns there was a bit of work needed to the rooms.however the room itself was ok and clean. We actually were happy with the selection considering the dockland and seafront Inns were fully booked it was a nice surprise to have no noise. Breakfast was ok. Everything you need to start the day. Don't expect anything fancy for dinner but was again ok if you are a light eater.

Exactly what you need for a central budget hotel. Room was clean and we had lots of room.

Staff couldn’t be more helpful when you needed something we couldn’t fault anything while we stayed here, it was central for everything that we wanted to do while we were here! Thank you so much

It was nicely prepared the staff was nice although there was a slug in the drain for the shower hair on the bed sheets mould scratches and punch marks on the wall were a nice touch (not)!don’t know if I want to come back 2 stars - EP

Came down for the Ice Nine Kills concert from the 23rd-25th May and had a fabulous time! The location for the hotel for concerts in The Guildhall is amazingly close by to the point you can literally walk there and there is also a Tesco's and a costa located underneath the hotel too. The staff were absolutely amazing and friendly, one in particular her name was Beth, she was very lovey and talkative as she liked Ice Nine Kills like us too! Food in the hotel was very nice and tasteful! This hotel definitely raised my expectations when we arrived without a doubt coming back to this hotel in the future cannot recommend it enough.

Great location for station and shops.

Premier room plus. £40. 1 minute walk from the railway station. Clean room as usual. Good staff and right next to the Guildhall. Ticks all the boxes for me. Love Premier Inn's, they do what they advertise.

Major road on too sides. Handy fast food & tesco. On the wrong side of town.

Nice Premier Inn (and I've stayed in many). Good location, lovely staff and a room you'd expect from Premier Inn. Thumbs up.

Food was ‘cheerful’ and the staff were helpful when you spoke to them. Unfortunately they were on their phones most of the time and hadn’t noticed that more breakfast bowls were needed and things needed topping up. A same member of staff had to be alerted when I wanted to check out of the hotel as she was on her phone again.

Alojarse en el hotel e ir a Guildhall era la opción obvia para comer en el lugar. Debería haber sido advertido, haber utilizado otros restaurantes Whitbread, haber criticado antes. ¡Nada mejora! ! ! Desayuno continental en el mismo lugar. Excelente valor. ¡PERO NO ES NECESARIO COCINAR! ! !

Ubicación central ideal en Portsmouth, cerca de todos los servicios en el área y al lado de la estación de tren y tiendas. . Amplia habitación con cama muy cómoda. Dormí muy bien. Ducha ubicada en el baño para que tenga la opción. Me encantaría quedarme allí de nuevo.

La segunda vez que nos hemos alojado aquí y en ambas ocasiones hemos encontrado al personal amable y servicial, las habitaciones del hotel están limpias y son cómodas y el desayuno y la cena son de buena calidad. Habitación lo suficientemente grande como para que las 2 camas adicionales (de tamaño completo) para niños no llenen todo el espacio en el piso como en algunos hoteles y no se sientan agobiadas. Ubicación central (justo al lado de la estación de tren pero bien insonorizada, para que nunca lo sepas) con un estacionamiento con descuento NCP a unos 5 minutos a pie. El desayuno de los niños era gratis (y la cena de 6) y la gran oferta de combo para adultos era de 25 para el desayuno y una cena de 2 platos con una bebida alcohólica.

Situado junto a la estación de tren, goza de una ubicación ideal para una breve escapada a Pompeyo. Premier Inn cita todo es Premier, pero el precio. La calidad de las habitaciones, la comida y la estancia en general fue genial. Personal agradable y amable. Desafortunadamente, el estacionamiento se encuentra en un estacionamiento cercano de varias plantas. Premier ofrece un descuento para el estacionamiento que redujo nuestras tarifas de 36 a 13, un gran ahorro. Tuvimos el desayuno, que era bueno, con una gran variedad, en general, una gran experiencia. Wi-Fi gratis

Love premier inn. This is fairly new, changes include sparkly floor in the bathroom, new artworks and a new mattress. Not totally approving of the mattress which had a mattress topper stitched in. There was a bit of 'roll together' and boy was it hot in the middle of the night, despite the air conditioning. Staff were lovely, sorting out minor issues with a smile and personality. Very quiet, great location for us.

Comfy, well appointed rooms in the centre of the shopping centre, next door to the train station. Polite and freindly staff but the restuarant is a bit lack lustre in atmophere and style. Better to get meals at local eateries as very overpriced here.

DON'T BOTHER. Ived give it 0 out of 5 if i could. I had to wait for a table for 1 when over half the restaurant was empty. They forgot about me and after trying for 20 mins to get my order in I decided to leave. Plenty of other places to eat round here. I heard them telling another diner that half the menu was unavailable. NO SALAD really?

We stayed at this hotel and decided to eat breakfast here. It's certainly expensive compared to other eateries nearby. The food could have been better, the buffet was very poorly stocked. This was by far the worse example of a Premier Inn breakfast I've seen.

Good value if taken with the breakfast deal. Good choice of menu and a drink included. Kids eat free at breakfast, but not in evening.

Hubby was cycling the Help for Heroes Dawn Raid which was heading off from the Historic Naval Dockyard in Portsmouth so we stayed here for one night. Within the City Centre and within walking distance of Gunwharf Quays outlet shopping area. This is a new Premier Inn so everything is still clean and in good condition. It is standard but clean and ok for a one night stay. You can park in a multi-storey car park opposite for £4.50 for 24hrs.

We had the Premier Inn meal deal, so had a two course dinner and full breakfast. Both were good .. but it is a small restaurant with limited kitchen (on view, interestingly!). My favourite main course, fish and chips (best as it is always cooked fresh) appears to now be a reheated dish, so not 100% happy. But, still excellent service and good food, including breakfast. Recommend if staying at the hotel.

Instant processed food that lacks any innovation. Best if staying at the hotel to go to gunwarf, lots of restaurants there.

Used this as a base for the historic dockyard and gunwharf quays and to eat a couple of delicious breakfasts!

Having had breakfast booked as part of our stay we thought we would give dinner a go. The choice was good and both dishes we had were really well presented, good quality and very tasty. Reasonable pricing and excellent staff persuaded us to eat again the following evening before getting the train home. Again we were not disappointed.

Great breakfast offerings for a "full breakfast" person, and a "muesli and toast" person. Hot, clean server, loads of choice and variety. Please add fried bread offering to cooked breakfast!

"We can't feed you for an hour and a half because we have a table of 8 in"....... Really, the place is empty all bar one group and you can't feed me for an hour and a half?!!!

We stayed for 3 nights Fri-Mon on the non flexi economy rate and the stay was well worth the money. On arrival a helpful reception person greeted us and upgraded us to a bigger room because they had vacancies. The room was very comfortable, modern and clean. The bed was as advertised - very comfortable and we had good nights sleep. A large tv was provided as was tea and coffee making facilities. The staff were very friendly and were always willing to help, e.g. provided extra tea and milk, explained the breakfast room, called a taxi for us and suggested restaurants. Thoroughly recommended..

Can't complain with a £23 Meal Deal. 2 delicious courses of freshly cooked food and then a big breakfast in the morning. All served by friendly staff. Would recommend if you're staying here!

The hotel was nice and clean and well looked after the staff where helpful, however I could not recommend the restaurant the food is poorly cooked

This is a new restaurant in a new hotel and unfortunately the inexperience showed.
