My wife had the steak sandwich I had the steak food was great value for money staff was very relaxed and pleasant

A great meal. The restaurant was quiet when we got there but filled up fast. The service was good and the food was excellent.

Ok room was very cold leek potatoe soup awful hardly any leeks just tasted of potatoe soup

Go here quite often but was let down by the rude staff from the second I walked in to the second I left. Very unhelpful and unpleasant.

We were disappointed with our meal. My husband's roast beef was very stringy and fatty so much that we brought it home for the dog. They claimed it was sirloin but not like any sirloin I have ever seen. The sprouts were like metal balls. I enjoyed my turkey and ham but there was not much of it. This was a Sunday carvery but one of the worst we have experienced. We complained and no effort was made to refresh our meal or even apologise. We will not be back. Very poor.

Never been before, fit myself and a few friends in no problem without booking. Staff were amazing, really friendly and the whole place had a great family atmosphere. Food was incredible and portion sizes would do your mama proud.. what a great place. I'll definitely be back.

Went here last Saturday night with a big party, staff were so friendly and helpful especially sorting out our kid’s meals. We all ordered of the set menu and the quality of the food and size of portions was excellent. Steaks and desserts are unreal.

We go here regular as the service and food are both exceptional! Good portion sizes as well. We have been for family occasions and also as a couple and every time the food is very impressive as well as always having friendly staff who are very welcoming and can’t do enough for you! Would recommend this place to everyone who wants real good food with great service!

Went with family for a meal at Portmor and everything was excellent from we walked in the door. The staff were friendly, great service and very helpful. We went for the 3 course early bird menu and everything was excellent. Food was delicious and portion sizes were very generous. Great value for money. Had a great night and can't wait to return for another wonderful experience

Was booked in with my partner for lunch at 3.30pm, arrived at 3.20 we were greeted by a member of staff and shown our table, handing us menus the waiter walked away not even taking a drinks order. We waited over 30 minutes and i then when up to front desk to ask to be served, I stated that we were waiting half an hr and I was abruptly told use couldn't be there half an hour!! A member of staff followed me to table to take our order, where again we were told we couldn't be there half an hour to which we said we were and that we were actually going to leave, to which the abrupt member of staff said use know where the door is!!! Absolutely disgraceful service for a couple who had previously ate here several times before. Very very disappointing and we will not be back.

Nice place to start, older waitress was rude! And condescending! Carvery dinner Never mind the quality feel the width! Plates too small and looked ridiculous pilled high! All other staff seemed great. Won’t be back!

Was here for the first time for a Holy Communion lunch/dinner with about 22 family members. Quality of food and staff service was excellent and all went away fully contented.

The Portmor is outstanding! The service staff are extremely friendly, helpful and professional. They looked after the four of us so well. I cannot speak highly enough about the food. The range of options and portion size were fabulous for an Early Bird menu. The freshly made tobacco onions and tasty pepper sauce were just delicious. Then came the dessert .... just Wow! I had Pear, Raspberry and Almond Tart with ice cream. I can still taste it when i think about it. Just perfection. It is great value for money, exceptional food and a beautiful restaurant. I will definately be back. Thank you to all involved with the lovely Portmore.

The Portmor were able to cater to our large family party for dinner and dessert. Food came out quickly and was very tasty. Cocktails lovely also. Love coming back here. Reasonably priced which is hard to come across these days.

Me and my 3 grandchildren dined here last night and had a brilliant time. Food for the children was very good. They ate everything! My meal was so good and really tasty. Service excellent. If I had 1 small complaint it was lack of desserts for the 2 kids who are lactose intolerant. Maybe something to think about

Visited on a Friday Evening when meeting up with friends who recommended eating here. Had an excellent meal , the food was very tasty and well presented. Fish Dishes and Steaks were all cooked to perfection and seasoned. Wouldn't have been a restaurant i have been too for years but will definitely return soon as all our party had an enjoyable Evening. Thanks to all the service staff who looked after our party.

Heard great reports about portmor and was really looking forward to it . food lived up to expectations staff were friendly considering how busy they were although didn't know difference between tops and shandy But a big negative was we were put in carvery room with large birthday parties could not have a conversation such a pity we weren't in the other part which looked great We booked early to avoid as I was warned by another who had similar experience Such a pity but top marks for food

Our first visit to the Portmor and i cannot fault it in anyway. Staff where attentive , food was excellent not just great portions but of super quality,steaks where cooked perfectly .Super variety on menu including fish dishes and vegetarian options. Dessert was superb as well .I also think for the quality of food and service our meal was very good value for money indeed. Well Done all

4 of us called in first Sunday in August We had 2 starters -- 3 Steaks and a chicken dish - one dessert -- one coffe and three glasses of wine Overall good wholesome food typical of a very good pub. Plates were well presented and with the steaks only came a few mushrooms, onion rings and half a tomatoe --- everything extra was extra --- sauce, chips, potatoes, veg etc etc etc. --- Service was good but not great -- e.g. when steaks arrived and we realised no sauce was included we ordered and had to wait approx 15 minutes on a serving of 2 sauces. with a bit of an effort this pub could become a very good resturant -- but need a more exciting menu and more flavours and inclusions with the dishes I probably would go back --- but I will give it a while and check out the menu for a few changes first

10 oz medium rare fillet steak to die for. Great choice on menu, staff very attentive, friendly and helpful. My go to place for a great meal.

The food here is always first class, on Sundays they have a great carvery lunch,tho it's a pity that the staff seem to loose interest in the customers coming up to the end of service at 3pm,we would have had deserts but no one offered it,

Went for dinner here while staying in the area, a busy spot but efficient staff had our group of six seated in no time. The menus offer plenty options and the food was as good as it gets, with helpful staff and quick service all round. A very enjoyable evening and highly recommended to all.

We went for the early bird. Service was quick and the food was very good. Very busy.

Excellent venue, met at the reception area by a very friendly receptionist and brought to our table. Drink order taken and brought to the table within minutes. Starter and main course order taken and starters served very quickly, starters were very tasty and there was a good selection. The main courses and sides arrived very promptly and we weren’t disappointed, the food was delicious. All in all this is a great venue, great food great prices and great staff. I will be back again very soon.

My whole order was wrong but what they brought out was DELICIOUS. Iv been a few times and it's always very very nice and I'd deffo recommend. Staff are lovely and friendly and it's a really nice atmosphere

Was by no means a bad experience. Carvery was quite good, except the garlic potatoes which were over garliced. The cappuccino was disappointing. That being said I will try it again.

The 16oz fillet steak I’ve just had at the Portmor is by far, the best steak I’ve had in Northern Ireland. Perfectly cooked and every bite melted in the mouth. Could not recommend it more highly!

Really enjoyed it. Staff are first class and portions are large. Sirloin is cut a bit thin for my liking and was closer to well done than medium rare but was tasty and a credible 10oz, so just my personal preference, not a fault per se. The dining room is big and looks well, but could stand some curtains or soft furnishings to dampen the sound, it's quite noisy all things considered, very good, we'll be be back.
