Popsi's in Southampton

This is the best pizza place in Southampton, I really appreciate them having amazing vegetarian and vegan options which have fresh ingredients, interesting choices, and don’t feel like just an afterthought. Plus their sauce is delicious and I can’t resist getting the churro nuggets!

We are regular customers and we love the pizza’s here. We’d be the only customers at the restaurants with the service being extremely slow probably due to the volume of takeaway orders. With just 2 staff working at the restaurant it can be a bit overwhelming for the staff. It would be a bit better if they had 3 people working instead of 2 to improve the service. Pizzas are great and i love the pesto bites! Loving that they are reasonably priced and that they have offers on weekdays

Delicious take away as always, don't think we've ever had a bad meal from Popsi's. They're great at following dietary requests. Best pizza base in Southampton and the garlic dip is a must try (but make sure anyone you might be kissing later also likes garlic, it is wonderfully strong!). Always very generous with pizza toppings and the garlic doughballs are delicious. Can't recommend enough!

Really good authentic pizzas made in a nice oven. The waitress was so kind to us, I really appreciate it. Our table was a bit small but it was ok. I missed some more good beers in the menu.

They say "good things come in small packages" and too right. This small place make such delicious pizza, this is the real Italian pizza 🤌🏼👌🏼. Great stuff guys This place is a real gem.

HOT DIGGITY! I am WOWED! My husband and I really fancied a nice, big pizza (each) but all of the local well known pizza places are a bit lack lustre, especially since we’re pesky vegans. I just did a search on Google for vegan pizza in Southampton and found good reviews for this place and boy am I glad we ordered!! I am a garlic lover and this place delivered.(They didn’t literally deliver because we live in Romsey but it was worth the drive!!) The pizzas are such a good size! We ordered at about 4pm knowing they opened at 5 so booked collection at 5:30 and it was ready on the dot. This place blows all the pizza chains out of the water. The vegan menu is so good!! And it’s so easy to order online, everything is clear, you have no worries about being awkward. I got the vegan funghi with extra garlic (thrilled this was an option!), the garlic bread and 2 garlic and herb dips (I’ll say now they’re better dips than dominoes by 20 miles!!) and my husband got the vegan sweet spot. This food obsessed, garlic loving vegan is so happy right now. I can’t believe I’ve only just found POPSI’S! Here’s to a great new relationship 💚💚 Update 6/2/24 - indulged in the 2 for £20 Tuesdays! Tried the Margo Aglio which was BANGIN! But I am updating this review purely because we ordered the vegan garlic butter bites and I just had to rave about them! I think I saw heaven!!!! I regret only buying one portion (you get 4), be smarter than me and order two!!!

Absolute horrendous order. The takeaway supposedly takes 20-35 minutes, at the end it took an hour without any notice from the restaurant. The pizza was stone cold when arrived and portion very small for a £18 pizza Told the restaurant to not cut the pizza, turned out it was cut when arrived. The eat in experience might be decent, but never order the takeaway if I am being totally honest.

The pizzas are to die for BUT.....The door is constantly blocked with delivery drivers, making it awkward to get in and out. It's a tiny place with just a few tables but the service is shockingly slow - 45 minutes for any drinks to arrive and over an hour for the pizza. I wonder whether Popsi's needs to make a decision on whether it's a takeaway or a restaurant because I'm not sure the hybrid is working at the moment. A real shame.

Nice little place. The pizza was lush, soft and doughy. Also enjoyed the pesto mozzarella dough bites to start Great service. The only thing I was looking forward too was the slushies but sadly there weren’t ready, we did dine early. Also, dog friendly so very happy all round.

Amazing pizza in a wonderful atmosphere with a lovely staff! If you're looking for a place with great neapolitan pizza, POPSI'S is the way. The place is rather small but fortunately was not too crowded on Thursday evening. Bonus points for the option to make any pizza vegan.

We were passing by and hungry, decided to try and no regrets. A small cozy place, with a few tables, great vegan pizzas and friendly staff. Each of us tried a different pizza, they were all good.

One of the more popular places for pizza in Southampton - definitely the most popular in Bedford place! The place is tiny but the pizzas are big..on taste and crust and sauce. The tomato sauce is tangy and savoury and full of flavour. The crust is perfect on the outside but just a little soggy for my liking. It's thin crust pizza after-all - all the rage is the crispy crust. They could make their already great pizzas perfect by adding a bit of crunch. The toppings are plentiful and unless you really crave a WHOLE LOT MORE, you're ok with what's on the base. We got the Truffle Shuffle (🍄🍄🍄) and the Sweet Pot (with nduja for the spice and honey for the sweet). I was skeptical about the honey but it worked really well. Overall 4/5 . Great pizza.

My all time favourite pizza place. We moved away from Southampton and were truly gutted to leave this place behind. Best pizza, sides and desserts and so many options for veggies/vegans. The Great Goatsby is my go-to choice and the pesto bites are amazing.

Very mediocre, I thought it was a bit pricey for what i got. It was dollops of things which felt rushed and wasn't spread nicely. I thought the crust was nice but again too much crust.

Popsi's are my favourite pizza spot to order from - the pizza is always absolutely delicious, with a great base and delicious toppings and desserts. We had some trouble with getting the order delivered last time and they couldn't have been more helpful, and they left the sweetest note on the pizza box! I can't see myself ordering pizza from anywhere else.

I absolutely love this place! Definitely the best pizza in Southampton and the quality has been consistently excellent since I first came here 4 years ago. The flavours are incredible, the vegan 'meats' are absolutely amazing and the service is phenomenal. The restaurant itself is very cosy and they're dog friendly too!

Popsi's is banging, no questions asked. Small little restaurant where the good quality is superb and the staff care. Simple food made freshly and obviously with great care. Utterly delicious.

Absolutely divine pizza I would recommend the diavola! Fresh ingredients, generous size and lots of toppings included. Perfectly cooked and so flavoursome. Easily the best pizza I've had in Southampton. I couldn't recommend Popsi's any higher!

Had a few burnt areas and overly sloppy. Arrived hot via takeway though. Bit expensive based on those reasons.

A very chill atmosphere inside. The pizza (Diavalo) was very good and the server was very helpful with our dietary requirements.

I visited Popsi's today, the pizza's dough is good and tastes good, but unfortunately they do not have options for those who do not want to eat pork (due to health or religious result such as Jewish or Muslim). If you don’t eat pork you only have to consider Vegan & Vegetarian options. You cannot add beef, lamb, chicken or fish to any Pizza. While all the restaurants in the city have overcome this problem, I still cannot understand this restaurant's obsession. People don't have to eat pork, why you don’t have flexibility for this customers?

I rarely give bad reviews. The pizzas are quite tasty but the service was terrible. I'd avoid in future. This would be a 1 star review if based solely on customer service and a 3 or 4 star review if based on pizza quality/cost alone. I ordered 4 pizzas for take out collection on Friday 26th via a QR code from a local bar. Order was placed at 850pm with a collection time allocated for 920pm. On arrival, at 920, I was told "it's not ready, it'll be 15mins" and given no apology or offer of any compensation (despite asking). I was sent away and told I'd get a text or email when it's ready to collect. I protested that this was poor service and left not very happy. I returned at 935pm when I was emailed to say the pizzas were finally ready to collect. On arrival I asked again what could be offered for a 50% extension on the scheduled collection time. The result was nothing, so I asked to speak to the manager. She offered little help aside to say "it is Friday and we're busy". She continued to say "you were emailed about the delay" (I was not and showed her my email trail) and I was told that "you got 10% off from using the QR code form the bar anyway" (I did not and I showed her the bill which confirmed this, to which she had no response). £55.47 for 4 take out pizzas with sub standard delayed service and no apology is unacceptable. When you offer a collection time you should honour it, and if you know you cannot, you should update your service agreement and communications to manage customer expectation. When you fail to honour your agreement you should offer something to maintain customer experience; a simple gesture like a free dip or % discount is not beyond comprehension. Poor customer service is so unnecessary and can easily be avoided. "It's Friday" is not an acceptable excuse. Anyway, as the bar we were at was calling last orders for a 10pm close I left to return to my friends who had been waiting 45 mins for food. Needless to say we were all in agreement none of us will be using this establishment again any time soon.

Fabulous meal at Popsi’s tonight. Surprised by the taste explosion of cheesy garlic pizza bread drizzled with marmite. We loved it! Wide range of tastes including vegetarian and vegan, fully licensed too. Had a laugh with the friendly and helpful team there too.

Very nice pizza. I liked it. However, I have two suggestions: 1- Pizza should not be sliced immediately after baked since this makes pizza base wet. It should be sliced by customer while eating to remain its crispy base. 2- Flour pieces below pizza base should be removed before baking. Otherwise this results with burnt flour spots underside of pizza base.

Went there and got genuinely the nicest vegan pizza I have had ever. Perfect size, consistency and taste. Amazing.

Love Popsi’s pizza, they do the best vegan pizza around! Would always choose them over any of the big pizza companies, the quality is so much better and tastier! Always find the staff friendly and helpful too. Thank you! :)

Mainly on Deliveroo but have ordered directly from them and collected too. Great vegan options so a solid fave for me. Go and support this local business and stuff yourself with their amazing food!

The pizza here is unbeaten, everyone involved should be given a gold star for services to hungry people. What an absolute vibe. So many great pizza options and incredible service. A mere 5 minute electric scooter ride away from the centre of town.

Amazing little place with 10/10 pizza!

Popsi's is easily one of the best pizza restaurants in Southampton. They have a beautiful wood-fired oven, the pizza feels authentic and light, they have a great range of toppings for everyone, including vegans, and they're pretty good value too! I get the £6 margherita deal most Mondays and it's unfailingly delicious!

I can sense the enthusiasm of the owner and staff by just looking at this pizza place. It was the first pizza place (extra rocket) I visited in Southampton two years ago and I still love it. (I don’t normally eat carbs but this is 👌 )

Delicious pizza, and I like that you can either order off a set menu or choose your own combination of toppings for your pizza. Staff were also great 🙂

Put simply, the best Pizza in Southampton hands down!

It is not often I order something on Uber Eats which makes me want to go to the restaurant to eat there in person.. But..... wait for it... this was the best damn pizza of it's kind I have ever had in the UK so far. Absolutely delicious! To top it all off, both the dips were beautiful and tasted freshly prepared (unlike the garlic-flavoured PVA glue you get at most places) and the side of mozz & pesto dippers was divine, and a good portion. I will order takeaway from here again in a heartbeat, and will be taking my buddy to dine there when he next visits Southampton!

I miss this place so much. I've been living in London for two years and I haven't found anywhere that has the same local feel with such fantastic food. Fantastic service, the staff always had a smile on their faces and everyone I brought to eat there raved about it for ages afterwards. It will be my first stop when I return to Southampton.

I've always had a great food here. The pizza is delicious and thought really goes in to making an excellent dough and innovative toppings. There are always good sides and dessert options too. A favourite whenever I am visiting Southampton.

Been a few times and had perfect pizza every time. The tomato sauce makes it. Oh and the garlic pizza bread with pepperoni is just amazing.

The BEST margherita I have had (and I've had A LOT). Crust is slightly charred and so soft and ultra chewy (like ciabbata bread) ! Really airy too. The tomato sauce is what makes it, not that dark tomato paste usually on margherita. It's a light but ultra tomatoey and perfectly flavoured tomato sauce, more flavoured than the deep paste you usually see. My delivery driver drove like a boy racer so it arrived a bit bashed bashed up.. But ignore that part the photos. It's the flavour that counted! Recommend to anyone. Wouldn't order pizza anywhere else.

Tried Popsi’s as a takeaway (we collected), very good pizza, in an Italian style. The dough was thin and crispy, with ample toppings and the tomato sauce is rich. Well worth a visit for any pizza lover, I’ll be visiting again 😁👍

Excellent experience. I ordered to collect, I was already in town doing some shopping so thought I would head up to Bedford Place early to have a drink whilst waiting. The waiter was very accommodating and helpful. Oh and the pizzas were awesome!!!

I've had takeaway pizza the last few times I've been here, but last night I ate out in the street and it was great! Really friendly servers, delicious vegan forest pizza, and I LOVE their vegan churros for dessert. Really nice to have pizza with vegan toppings, not just vegan cheese.

Quite possibly the worse pizza I have ever had, didn't think it was possible to eat something that was burnt and soggy at the same time but I guess if you dump two tins of tomato juice and not much else onto a base

Very tasty pizzas. The dough is so light, not greasy at all. I had the garlic dough , they were lovely.The pizzas were the right size I think for one person. My husband enjoyed the hot dog dough balls. Desserts were very tasty too, we had tiramisu, chocolate churros and caramel crunch. We will be back in your (inside) restaurant when your doors open again.

Popsi has rapidly became my go-to spot when I'm feeling homesick and I really fancy a good pizza. Their menu constantly evolves with true Italian ingredients and a fantastic dough. Highly recommended!

I'd known about Popsi's since it first opened, but hadn't tried it until January 2021, when I ordered via Uber Eats. Amazing pizza! So tasty - the dough itself is really nice to eat, cooked well but still fluffy with a good flavour. I've tried a lot of their pizzas at this point but have no regrets because they've all been delicious. I also recommend both the pesto and garlic bread bites, and their maltzoni dessert is a lovely treat too. I wouldn't order pizza from anywhere else in Southampton, and would happily recommend Popsi's to anyone. Can't wait to visit in person for the first time when it reopens fully!
