We’re human kind charity workers and we have a individual person in bad state who has Agoraphobia can’t leave his room! And can’t eat anything but Halal food and we have called these guys for help and within an hour they have send him great selection of Halal foods we can’t thank them enough helping supporting us absolutely amazing kind hearted people we wish them all the best thank you again and again.

Very nice food but slow in getting food

We got chicken dansak and chicken dupiaza. Dupiaza was fine but a little bland for me and the large onion pieces didn't seem very well fried so I was a little disappointed. The dansak was untypical and wasn't very fruity or spicy but it was tasty. The chicken was excellent in both meals to be fair. Rice's were as expected for pilau and mushroom pilau, tasty and not greasy. The poppadoms were a little too salty for our personal taste however the pashwari naan was excellent, one of the best takeaway naans we have had in the town. Bit of a mixed bag overall. Delivery was about on time give or take 10 minutes and the two meals, two rice's, poppadoms and naan came in at around £23.

Delivery was fast. Food was steaming hot and wow was it good. Would definitely recommend. Would definitely use again.

Down on business staying over and fancied a curry, looked at reviews and thought I’d give this place a try for a takeaway and back to the room. I wasn’t disappointed, very tasty curry and would definitely go again when in the area!!

Had a big order delivered without a problem,all meals were perfect and individually bagged. Top marks.

First time ordering from Poppadoms, our food came 30 mins earlier than quoted I ordered chicken tikka curry + nan bread and chapati. We weren't discounted, it came hot, we thoroughly enjoyed our meal, & the driver was very polite. We will defo order again. Thank you to the staff & the driver.

Got a take away, chicken Tikka Madras, was perfect spice level, the onion Bhajis were the best I've ever had and I've ate a lot over the decades, tikka naan bread was delicious, this was my 1st time at Poppadoms, I can say with certainty it won't be my last 😋😋😋

Had a brilliant take away last night delivered to the Travel Lodge, best onion bhaji’s ever and chicken tikka Balti with keema rice was gorgeous.

Best curry house in Hartlepool.... came across the little gem a few months ago. Love this place, reasonably priced,authentic Indian cuisine, full of flavours, Thus has no become my local curry house and I live 6 mile away.

Great curries, so much variety, the peshwari naan is the best! We use popadoms again and again

the food was ordered online i found the website very good and easy to use we ordered chicken pathia and tikka chicken jalfrezi plus rice and sundries because there was no option for chicken tikka pathia i asked in the comments for chicken tikka with my pathia but this fell on deaf ears i also found the jalfrezi very sweet and lacking flavour i was very disappointed for for a high profile restaurant recently opening a takeaway within the town i definitely wont be using them again

Spending an evening with family and let's all have a curry.Popadom's is not too far and will deliver, so the order is placed. Pleased to say that it took an hour to deliver, making us think that it would be fresh and hot. There were 7 of us, all eating something different and everyone was happy. My chicken pathia hit the right balance between spice and heat.Would definitely use this place again.

Tonight’s choice of food was a 4 course meal consisting of chicken tikka chaat (starter), chicken tikka madras, mixed pilau rice and a special naan and I am so glad I made these choices as the food was absolutely delicious and arrived piping hot on time as requested for delivery. The chicken tikka chaat had a medium strength sauce and contained plenty of chicken and was accompanied by I believe it’s called a puri bread very nice. Next was the rice which beautiful and included small bits of diced chicken tikka and vegetables and then a chicken tikka madras to go with it. The madras again was very tasty and was not burn your mouth hot but I do edge more to spicier dishes so someone who doesn’t eat madras on the whole would find this spicy. The special naan bread was filled again with thinly sliced chicken tikka hint of garlic, chilli and fresh herbs. The whole rice curry naan together gave it a lovely kick and I thoroughly enjoyed my meal and would recommend it to locals and tourists alike. 10/10 from me

Called for two takeaway meals on Saturday. The food was superb and all was freshly cooked. The rice accompaniment was perfect as was the naan bread. This is the first time I have used this establishment. It is certainly not the last. An excellent menu and very reasonably priced.

Just used the app it was so easy you get 10%off after ordering the countdown on the clock was spot on right on time. My food was delicious. Good value for money.

Can take your own drink in and the food is pretty decent.

Starter a little greasy & curry a little too sweet for my taste. Small coke £2.50 ea which is too high given that you can BYOB.

We used to use this restaurant on a regular basis but have not been for a while had to wait 40 mins for our starters they are to busy with the takeaway side of things and getting the meals out and leaving the people in the restaurant waiting for the food its not like it used to be quality has gone down which is a shame

This place is really good, went for my birthday meal and had the veg biryani with a portion of chips. I can not fault it at all, super quick service and tasty hot food. No alcohol but you can take your own. Recommend

Had a fantastic night for my husbands 60th birthday the staff were fantastic couldn't of done anymore for us , the restaurant is small and friendly ideal for a small gathering either with family or friends there was 27 family and friends . The food was fabulous very tasty and plenty of it no complaints everybody thoroughly enjoyed it. The management were very helpful and done all the requirements we asked them to cannot fault them. The restaurant does not have an alcohol licence but you can take your own no problem at all as it was a private party we just the drink on a spare table and the restaurant provided soft drinks , ice and coffee.

Good food . Great staff . Good value . First time ive ever taken my own drink to have a meal bit strange but worked out well . Keeps the bill price low . Good idea would deffo return . Great idea

1st visit, fantastic meal, nice relaxed atmosphere, friendly staff. Lamb byiarni delicious, byiarni always a good test of an Indian restaurant and Popadoms was brilliant. We will definitely be back.

Beautiful food great place take your own booze

Our food was really good with two completely different lamb dishes. No alcohol but byob allowed. Young staff very pleasant but we had questions as to if either owners changed or direction changing. One to keep an eye on I think to see where things go.

Shocking service! Waiting for over 45mins for an order that had been placed over the phone to be collected! Never again!

Actually disgusting. I ordered a chicken korma, when i recieved it, it was not only 2 hours late, but also was infested with hairs and fibres. Does Jacyln Hill work at your company or something? Seriously, do NOT order from here

Went on a whim with my Parents, was told on arrival that they dont serve Alcohol, but we could have brought our own, this was fine as we only wanted soft drinks.Decor could do with a bit of an update, but the food was very good all around!

We always use popadoms when we order our takeaways. We have had a few over the time and it’s definitely one of our top Indian takeaways in the area. Highly Recommend

Very nice friendly and helpful restaurant. The food and atmosphere are compimented well by the lovely friendly and helpful staff. The menu is very extensive and catters for all. I will certainly call again and would readily recommend this establishment to anyone. The prices are very good value for money and atmosphere was wonderful.

Most Indian restaurants in Hartlepool do not cater for people who like really hot Indian food. They just assume that you'll be happy with something mild - but I never am.

Booked a table on Saturday night it's bring your own bottle as no licence very busy when we arrived lovely friendly staff ordered our food didn't take long to arrive was lovely very enjoyable night great prices & food well worth a visit

Been a few times over the last month. The staff are the main attraction here absolutely fantastic. We travel to India most winters and we would say this food is the nearest we have tasted to real India everything cooked on site in the beautiful setting of hartlepool marina. They hold no license for drinks so they allow you to take in your own drink no corkage either !! Soft drinks available. The starters are mouth watering superb. Our meal (friends of 4) all different and all different heats just cooked beautifully so cozy. One of the best infact only the best indian around

Have had take a way deliveries from this restaurant which were all super, then hubby and I finally decided to go. Omg I am glad we did! We took a couple of bottles of our own wine. The restaurant was beautifully decorated with white linen table cloths and nice wine glasses on the table. The waitress was very friendly and knowledgeable. We ordered poppadoms and pickles, followed by 2 starters, 2 mains with chipatti’s and a garlic nan. They were all beautifully presented, cooked exceptionally well and very tasty. All the food was piping hot, presented on hot plates! And only £25....We can’t wait to go back . Well done poppadoms !

Came across this lovely little restaurant on a previous nights stay in Hartlepool but had already eaten, so decided to come back to Hartlepool to try it out..

This was my local Indian restaurant when I lived on the Marina. I now live 34 miles away and still travel to pick up my food. The food is fresh and the quality and flavours are first class. The chicken tikka Jalfrezi with Onion rice is beautiful. I’ve tried lots of other Indian restaurants - this is well worth the 68 mile round trip for the lovely food. Nothing comes close to this place. - it’s in a league of it’s own.

The quality of the food here is always top notch; it tends to be my go to place when I'm stopping at the Hartlepool Marina. Unfortunately, I do like a beer with my madras, and that's something that wasn't available on my last trip (unless I'd had advance notice to BYO). Whether that was the reason that I was the only person in on a sunny Tuesday night, I don't know. So in summary the food as great at a good price, but don't expect a pint with it (unless they've got the a licence sorted).

Really nice food really nice staff but no alcohol.

We were served by an older very arrogant man who announced they did not sell alcohol. He.beckoned with hand gestures rudely to pass our plates and then slapped our cutlery for next course into our hands. The place was empty on a Saturday evening. Not surprising on both counts.

Excellent food as always. No longer licenced so remember to take your own alcohol.

An interesting place, nearby the Premier Inn hotel in the marina. At entering I was told there was no alcohol served. Funny, never had that before.

Excellent food and service..great staff.

The food in here was excellent, freshly cooked and to a high standard. We dined in here with our children and the dish brought out to them was excellent and both eat everything. Will be back when we visit Hartlepool again.

I attended with my wife tonight. It was very cold out. I ordered chicken dupiaza, Keema nan and and special fried rice. My wife ordered chicken korma, special fried rice and garlic nan. The service was very good but the food was, I am sad to say, very bland. I could not detect any spices in any of the dishes. The best thing was the keens nan. The price was very reasonable but this would have achieved 5 stars if it had been tasty. Unfortunately it was not.

Nos gustó el nombre del restaurante y encontramos que, para nuestra sorpresa, no había nadie allí congregados. La comida era excelente, especialmente los platos de verduras y bhaji bindii eran excepcionales y el naan peshwari era realmente individual, calientes del horno y delicioso. Para nosotros, fue una verdadera ventaja para encontrar que no había licencia de alcohol. No la gente se dé cuenta de cuánto dinero se puede ahorrar comprar un trayendo sus propios vinos o cerveza - un viaje rápido a Asda en la ruta, a 3 minutos del restaurante. Todo el mundo gana.

We had dinner here on Friday 9th June, having walked 5 minutes from the Premier Inn. Nice location in the marina, good service, food was very good, we had chicken curries with rice and naan, would definitely go again. BYO..we took a couple of beers, they supplied an opener and glasses.

Was the best, not any more. No longer serve alcohol and it's looking a little grubby. Off the list...

After eleven months trying eleven different Indian restaurants in the town Popadoms came out on top for food, atmosphere and friendlyness of their staff. Even on our second visit with our group of seventeen sitting round the table, everything came out together and was piping hot. Nothing was a problem for the waiter and waitress or the kitchen staff who made our evening go without a hitch. You can bring your own drinks and they were served without a hitch too. Summing up I can say we were well looked after by Popadoms and we all enjoyed a very memorable time. Thank you for a fantastic evening.

Simply the best in the town. Added to the fact they have 2 days of special offers makes it even more appealing. Service is prompt and food is always piping hot. We wouldn't go anywhere else than poppadoms for our food it's delicious.

I bought a lovely take away meal from Popadoms last night , my food was freshly cooked to perfection and very reasonably priced. I recommend the Chicken tikka madras .

Perhaps I hit an off night but not as good as the reviews had got me expecting. Nothing wrong for a curry fix however.

Visitamos Popadoms en julio y tuvimos que esperar para una mesa que estaba tan ocupado. La espera valió la pena, la comida era de primera clase. . . decidimos pagar otra visita el sábado por la noche alrededor de las 9. 45:00 h. para mi sorpresa que estaba vacía. Como estuvimos allí nos entró y me dijeron que han tenido su licencia revocada (algo que bebidas hacer con ellos tratar con comer solo) nos sentamos allí a menos de una hora y no una persona entró, lo que me pareció bastante extraño. Aún así, la comida era agradable y a un precio razonable y el personal era muy agradable. Cruzando los dedos. No es que una mala señal de cosas por venir. .

this restaurant used to be class but ime back there aging for the third time , and I was so disappointed to, the lads running the restaurant is a lovely bloke, but the meal was shyte so disappointed won't be back

I can honestly say I ate every bit of my meal because it was so enjoyably tasty. Everything was cooked to perfection and the pleasant spicy warmth made a nice change from curries elsewhere that have been more of a challenge to beat.

Went here last night for dinner been a few times before while visiting & always enjoyed but was very disappointed this time arrived to find its now bring your own bottle as they don't have any wine or spirits only one beer or soft drinks ordered our meals very small portions tasty enough but such a change from previous visits prices still okay but won't return

This is a very friendly very clean very modern restaurant and the food is excellent.My wife and I have just stayed overnight in Hartlepool, Saturday evening we called to the marina to visit a restaurant and we chose Popadoms what a fantastic choice we had a pickle tray then for the main I had a beef curry my wife had a chicken curry both with garlic nans and 2 cokes each all for under £27. The service was second to none and the food is worth going back for, I would definitely recommend this restaurant to anyone visiting Hartlepool who is not familiar with the area it is a very safe bet and it is situated in a very classy modern marina.

Visited in the week and it was fairly busy so thought this bode well. Anyway, it was ok. Menu was generally what you would expect. Didn't seem very different or particularly interesting. The food was ok - not really very special but certainly ok. Service was pretty quick, maybe we were in on a bad night but I would say it was a pretty standard run of the mill curry house. Not bad but I wouldn't rush back

Myself and my husband regular use Popadoms and took my parents on this occasion. As always the food was fantastic, always well flavoured, plenty of choice and plenty of food. Best Peshwari naan I've had. Staff are always friendly and welcoming. Can highly recommend

Called in here on Sunday night and was very impressed.Service was good but then it was quiet so can not say what it would be like when busy. Had popadoms and pickles to start and then main meal.There was a little bit of a wait but I do not mind that.I am always suspicious of meals that arrive too quickly. I had a Chicken balti and my wife had chicken chilli masalla. Both meals were absolutely delicious,I can not wait to return...

We came here because we could see it from the window of the hotel we were staying at. It is only a small restaurant but the decor is very appealing. However, the service was seriously lacking. We arrived at 7.00pm and were shown to the table. It was 15 minutes before anybody came to take our order. We were given our poppadoms quite quickly but then had to wait 45 minutes before our starter was served - and that was after I asked the waiter where our food was. We ate our starter then had to wait another 30 minutes before our main course came out. The food was good but not worth waiting almost two hours for. We will not be returning.

Great food at reasonable prices, they don't have a lot of alcoholic drinks on offer, but you can take your own, and they don't charge you to do so.

We are from London and must admit this is one of the best Indian meals we have had for ages. The restaurant was fairly quiet but service very good. We were able to take our own wine and they will happily chill white wine/prosecco for you. Nothing was too much trouble. They do sell beer but not wine or spirits.
