PizzaExpress in Stirling

Not busy on the day we visited. The waitress was very pleasant, service ok. Very expensive, and a total RIP off the cost of the soft drinks. The pizza was ok, but it lacked filling and cheese. The cleanliness, certainly needs addressed however., Our table was sticky, and the seating all the way along was covered in crumbs, A deep clean required. Overall- Expensive and poor value. Would we visit again? Probably not.

Staff friendly and food is fine but wow Pizza Express is very expensive these days - £90 for two courses for 3. Might go back if I can find a voucher

What a rip off ! £41 for probably £1 worth of raw ingredients if you're lucky. Took our Grandson for lunch here during school holiday. We are obviously of the mature age, but is this what passes as lunch nowadays in the UK ? Our Grandson ( who can normally eat most things ) was far from impressed. He had the kids menu - over baked and charred dough balls with a frozen hard garlic butter "dip". Americano Pizza which he only ate half of, and a dessert of Chocolate brownie ( which was rock hard ) and some warmish, frothy milk !! Needless to say the brownie and froth were put to the side ! We both had bruschetta to start, which was nice, and the only decent thing we had. Followed by a Pizza Fiorentina to start. This was to share as we'd normally never eat a whole one ( in say Pizza Hut or Zizzi. ). We paid an extra £1.95 to have it "Romano" which we understood was to be flatter, larger and with more topping. ............. It was basically a normal pizza, made flatter ! The topping was meant to be cheese, spinach and olives. There was so little topping, I counted about 6 olives and some spinach, spread out thinly ! We left most of the pizza base as it was like cardboard ! This one pizza Fiorentina alone cost over £15........... total rip off ! The service whilst very slow ( over an hour ) was at least polite. However I wouldn't want to be looking to eat there during my lunch break, as I'd have to leave half way through, and it wasn't particularly busy ! We complained, but got no apology, and no offer of a bill reduction !! How does this place survive ? Do their customers just eat anything ?

We were really looking forward to visiting Pizza Express and this didn't disappoint. The pizza and garlic bread were tasty and the customer service good. The restaurant was clean and was constantly being cleaned. It isn't cheap but it was a treat and it was very good

We arrived foe early dinner. The food was lovely and drink refreshing, but we felt that staff were just so sad and gloomy.. I know it is a hospitality job and I have done it for so long now that it feels like second nature, but you at least smile to your customer.. Also was dissapointed with cleanliness. Dust on top of attached seating panels, glasses not polished, and another guy just picked his teeth then turned around and filled water bottle for customer. When we come to Stirling we always eat here as we love the food here but the atmosphere this time was just beyond grim.. But we will be back again - I am sure of that as your pizzas are realy lovely and you are great with alergies ;)

Something it's not all about the food with service making the experience just as memorable. Food the usual good pizza. We took our daughter with friends and the kids were all given their own table and made to feel very grown up and special. Well done guys great service and thank you

Fantastic attentive staff. Came here after a disappointing visit to a different restaurant for lunch. Such a difference in atmosphere. Really great food, great service. Happily recommend. Nothings too much for their team.

Upon arrival we were greeted by a frequently member of staff. We got shown to a quiet table where we ordered drinks and food. Food came and didn’t have to wait too long. The food was brilliant and fresh and my daughter, who can be a little fussy, destroyed her pizza. We ordered dessert with a coffee and even that was brilliant. Fantastic food and excellent service. We will be back.

Upon arrival we were greeted instantly by Melanie and seated at a cozy booth for my daughter and I. We had a great lunch together and the service was fantastic, very attentive and nothing was to much trouble for them. They made extra effort with my 5 year old and she felt like a grown up being involved with her menu choices - an extra special touch by the staff I must say. The restaurant was clean and tidy, drinks offered to be topped up when empty and extra oils, pepper etc with our meal. The kitchen staff were fast in the cooking time even though the restaurant was busy. Our pizzas tasted great and we got what we didn't manage to finish boxed up to take away! Will definitely be back for another visit soon

We were treated terribly after our order was taken other people arrived. There orders taken to different sets of people were then served whilst we sat there waiting. I complained no apology sat for another 10 minutes complained again and was told our food was finally starting to be made. At this point we had had enough I asked for the bill for the drinks that still took another 10 minutes. No sign of an apology from staff or a manager we will not be going back

Pizza Express have introduced a news sale gimmick. Download their App and get a free doughballs starter and gain loyalty awards every time you visit. What’s not to like? The pathetic and disfigured, overcooked and unsightly free doughballs starter springs immediately to mind. The App was cumbersome to set up and operate and even the waitress pointed out it poor design features.If you are going to offer something free, and as a promotion to encourage you to come back, you DO NOT serve up misshapen and burnt pieces of bread. After biting into two of the least worse looking ones I pushed the plate away and gave up on the idea of potential unpleasant dining experience. I had as a main the Porchetta pizza. It was too big for the plate and I didn’t notice it overlapped the plate by a number of centimeters. So, when I came to slice it with the pizza cutter the pizza slide half off the plate. If you are going to serve something of a specific width, at least put in on a plate that fits.I’ve had Porchetta pizza before but this was nasty in taste and texture. I could only stomach to eat about half of it before I gave it up as a bad job.The idea of the App and the freebie starter is supposed to entice you to return, and become a regular diner. If the quality of the food served up in Stirling is anything to go by then I will not be returning. I could easily forget something that I left in the oven at home and have burnt food without the hassle of faffing about with a rubbish App and have an oversized pizza sliding off the plate when I tried to cut it.On a positive note. Above and near-by my table was a rather arty and funky lampshade (see photo). It’s a sad state of affairs when the best thing that Pizza Express has to offer is not on its menu buts it interior design choice for light shades.

A chain restaurant,yes,but the food was adequate and the service was nice and friendly.Close to the shops and train station.

Staff were lovely - plus well versed when talking about allergies which my niece has. Just makes life that bit easier if you can trust what is being said! Food was fresh and didn't take long to arrive.

My family and I went in for lunch while on a shopping trip. Food was nice but went cold very quickly. The building itself was really cold so maybe that contributed to it. Service was excellent and staff who dealt with us were very pleasant. It was a little expensive for what you got but we would go back.

Mi esposo y yo finalmente salimos juntos por la noche y queríamos usar nuestros cupones Tesco. Realmente disfrutamos de nuestra visita. La pizza estaba deliciosa y disfrutamos especialmente el nuevo entrante de alitas de pollo. El personal fue realmente amable y servicial. Estaría encantado de volver a visitarlo :)

Visitamos como parte del esquema EOTHO y tuvimos una pizza de buen sabor, pero no estaba bien cocida en la parte inferior, por lo tanto, no estaba crujiente y no se podía sostener para comerla; tuvimos que usar un cuchillo y tenedor. La pizza era demasiado grande para el plato y no venía cortada, tenías que cortarla tú mismo. El personal es lo suficientemente agradable y el servicio fue rápido, pero una pizza al menos debería estar crujiente.

Enjoyed the meal tremendously, and would definitely suggest the thinner Romana pizza, it was a hit with everyone. Also really liked the layout of the restaurant with the different levels, it is nice to sit in the top level and watch the world go by through the windows.

I work in the area and popped in for lunch - ordered the pollo pesto in a mostly-empty rainy saturday dining room and waited half an hour for pasta that was only half cooked. Staff were very apologetic, I was offered a remade dish or a pizza but as on my lunch break, no time. No offer to comp my drink either. I know these meals are premade and reheated but more quality control needed.

I visited with my brother who follows a vegan diet and we were delighted that they have a separate vegan menu with a good variety of choice. Our pizzas were really good and the waitress was lovely and helpful.

The service was a little slow. However the food was very good and the staff was very cooperative and helpful. We had requested the Calebraze to be a little spicy and it was wonderful, overall enjoyed it.

I don't normally eat in Pizza express but really wanted a pizza so decided to come here. The staff were extremely pleasant. The menu was comprehensive and I had the calamari and the Fiorentino Romano. Simply faultless and I have paid much more for far less. Genuinely impressed and don't think I have been in a Pizza Express in forty years! But I will be back if this is what they offer nowadays. And the wine was good too.

Popped into this restaurant for a little dinner date with a friend and ordered starters, main (pizza) and dessert using the tastecard app where you get 2 for 1 on everything- I definitely recommend this. The food was nicely cooked: I ordered the chicken wings (better than nandos lemon & herb!) & pizza express's own garlic dough balls for starters, followed by the 2 different vegetarian and vegan pizzas (can't remember the name but the vegan had black olives on it) and the 2 chocolate desserts with ice-cream. I must say, I couldn't grumble, there was plenty of pizza left over to takeaway and the young lass was so helpful and chatty. Good customer service and we got a table straight away for an evening appointment.

This place is awful and that's not event the worse. Where do i begin, oh yeah the prices are too expensive for the size of the pizza you order. The service is slow and of a bad quality. And last but not least the manager asked us to review his restaurant, that would be ok right ? But when the manager comes behind you as you complete the review to force you to say "highly satisfied" for every question, including food warmth and taste (note that we had to fill that BEFORE we got served !) That right here is just not how you're supposed to get a review.

Excellent service and well prepared food. You know what you are getting and it didn’t disappoint. Just what we needed on a wet evening and a reasonable price.

We have visited several Pizza Express and this one is just average, welcomed however we could not understand server and eventually were shown to our table that we had booked. We sat with menus for a while then a lovely young girl (the best in the outlet) came to take our order for both food and drink. Both of these arrived at the same time. Food - starters all good, mains a selection of pasta and pizza, the pizza was very sloppy and no pizza cutter offered. Toilets a real mess and not cared for or checked which is disappointing. Overall average, however a shout out to our server who was possibly quite new as another server took great pleasure in showing her to open prosecco. She was polite, helpful and cheery.

Really sad to say how bad my experience was! Over priced and the actually food took forever! It was only me and 3 children. Not great and feel the restaurant was empty!

We were promptly shown to a table in a very nice location allowing us both to look out and watching the passing pedestrians. The gluten free base was very well cooked and the toppings generous. The staff were very friendly and attentive. It was a very enjoyable visit.Looking forward to our next visit.

Had a great atmosphere with lovely food to match, however when we attempted payment with our Tesco club card vouchers it was quite frankly a hassle. Unfortunately ruined a good meal.

Visitó varias veces y es ideal si se hospeda en Stirling por motivos de trabajo o si desea salir a comer con familiares o amigos. Went early so service was fast. Pizza was nice enough although they were a bit stingy with the topping could have done with more on Pizza. not cheap but decent quality.

As usual the staff were excellent. They were on the ball from the off. We had a La Riene and an American. The were well presented and really tasty. Highly recommended.

Popped in for a quick snack, we were cordially welcomed shown to our table but then had to wait for menus. When they arrived we were briefed on the menus. We then had a long wait to order. We ordered and then had a long wait for our order to arrive. 3 other tables who had arrived way after us were served way before us, that said the food was good. I've marked it down to 3 stars because of the waits we had to endure

Standard Pizza Express meal. Service is quick and efficient and the staff members are friendly and very attentive. Drinks menu is rather limited but you are there for the food! Maybe a calzone option would a welcome addition. Chicken wings were delicious even if there was not a large amount of room to negotiate around the plate. Lasagne and pollo pesto pasta were both excellent choices. Restaurant is situated just outside the main shopping centre in Stirling so very convenient for a break.

Positives:- Value on the ‘2 course for £13’ is good.- The restaurant was tidy and modern- Food tasted good and portions a fair sizeNot so good:- Service was really slow, manager apologised and applied a small discount.- The choice of pizza toppings on the cheap menu is very limited. We go to Pizza Express restaurants as they serve gluten free pizza bases. On this visit, we were shown to our table very promptly. We ordered our gluten free pizza base and toppings with Melanie who was very customer focused. Our pizzawas served very hot and with lotsof toppings. Restaurant nice and clean with lots of space between tables and looking outonto Kings Street. A great find in newish premises.

Estábamos visitando Escocia como un grupo familiar de siete personas y llamamos a este Pizza Express para cenar por casualidad.A todos nos gusta la fórmula Pizza Express y sentimos que esta fue definitivamente una de las mejores. Todo el personal con el que tratamos fue realmente útil, eficiente y genuinamente amigable. La comida también fue uniformemente excelente.También sentimos que el diseño y el ambiente del lugar era más agradable y acogedor que muchos otros. En resumen, ¡estábamos muy satisfechos!

Era una tarde fría y esto causó una corriente de aire fría. Señalé al personal que cerró la puerta correctamente en un par de ocasiones, pero tuve que levantarme varias veces para cerrar. También noté que otro comensal también se acercaba a cerrar. Overrall Decente Pizza Express, pero no te sientes junto a la puerta a menos que el problema de adherencia ya esté ordenado.

Booked a table, we arrived early and were advised it wasn't a problem. Shown to our table and order taken timeously. Food was Excellent, staff were brilliant, restaurant was light and airy. All in all an excellent visit

Vivimos en el Reino Unido durante unos años a fines de los 90 y mi esposa quería probar Pizza Express, a la que solíamos ir. Encontré uno en Sterling mientras estaba cerca y lo probé durante un jueves por la tarde, el 7 de junio. El tráfico fue liviano a las 14:00 horas y nos aseguramos de tener una buena mesa. Servicio rápido y muy buena pizza. Nos recordó visitas anteriores cuando vivíamos aquí.Definitivamente te recomiendo que visites - personal agradable y buena comida!

Mi esposa y yo utilizamos Pizza Express con bastante regularidad, así que tenemos una buena idea de qué esperar. Pedí una pizza especializada, me sirvieron un poco del lado frío, también me dejó un sabor bastante extraño. Estuvimos allí con nuestro nieto de 18 meses que nos dejaba saber en términos inciertos qué tan hambriento estaba, la velocidad y el alboroto no eran esenciales. Mi esposa pidió Spaghetti Bolognese para compartir con nuestro nieto. Se comió un poco de la basura, pero mi esposa no, el plato parecía un tazón sencillo de carne picada de mala calidad servida con tubos de pasta bastante locos.Cuando solicité la factura, se extendió la pregunta habitual. . . "¿Estuvo todo bien con tu comida? "Con calma, le dije a la directora cuál había sido nuestra experiencia. Para nuestro gran asombro, ella dijo algo en el sentido de que no preparan nada fresco en las instalaciones aparte de la pizza, ¡y ese era solo el producto! ! No tenía idea de qué estaba hablando. Estábamos en su restaurante comiendo algo de su menú, desviando la responsabilidad de ellos mismos, lo cual era simplemente la creencia de los mendigos. Definitivamente no oscurecerá su puerta una vez más.

Visited for lunch, service was ridiculously slow..mains arrived 30 minutes after kids starters had been cleared. Food average pizza express standard but the service and cleanliness of the place would put me off ever going back or recommending to anyone.

Went for the light option of the salad dish and it was more expensive than a pizza. Didnt feel it was value for money but the staff were very friendly which always helps. They need to review their pricing if they want me back again

Modern decor and a warming welcome awaits you at the Stirling restaurant.The usual chain limited menu is offered which only represents good value for money thanks to Tesco vouchers.I do question the popularity of Pizza Express should Tesco stop offering their voucher exchange.Baby changing facilities are only available in the female toilet which I found very strange and odd as a hands on dad.

It’s Pizza Express so you know what you are going to get food wise and that’s great however the service was really good and that always makes it better. Nice friendly helpful staff from the person who welcomed and seated us to our waitress, who was chatty, attentive and helpful with menu choices. And the bill came super quick when we asked for it

We arrived 17:30 on a Friday. It was busy but still free tables. We waited five minutes for someone to seat us. We then had a 10 wait to be served. Once our order was taken it got quicker, no long wait between courses. The staff were friendly and otherwise efficient. We had doughballs (8) and garlic bread with mozzarella to start, pollo pizza for main and cheesecake for dessert. All tasted amazing. Particularly recommend the new York style cheesecake. Drinks are pricey. We didn't feel rushed and really enjoyed our night out. Would recommend.

We have taken advantage of many of the offers online and always have a delicious pizza. The staff are always efficient and polite. The only down side is the drinks are expensive!

My husband and I came here using O2 priorities. Classic pizza normally £10????I felt the fiver we paid was over priced. The smallest plate imaginable, tasty enough pizza but the base wasn't fully cooked and tasted doughy though the edges were crispy. Nice restaurant though and lovely, friendly staff. Worth upgrading the next time to the Rogano range for a further £1.65, they looked much nicer from the ones we saw being served. I didn't feel full up and was hungry afterwards. The puddings looked awesome though!!

Came in around 8pm in a Sarurday night, without a booking and we got a lovely table for two. The waiter gave us our menus and took our orders. He gave us options with our food choices and the drinks and starter arrived quickly. The sharing platter of doughballs were fresh and good choice of dips. There was 8 doughballs each. Our pizzas arrived swiftly and were delicious. We had to ask for a dessert menu however and were waiting a wee while to see if the waiter would offer it to us. The desserts were beautiful. Honeycomb slice and brownies were delicious. I would definitely order again. The premises is clean and the staff are friendly. The only reason I would give them a four instead of a five was the lag in service in the middle. However, I would return and I would definitely recommend.

We decided to use our Nectar voucher for Pizza Express yesterday evening . First impressions was good and we were warmly welcomed . However the restaurant rapidly filled up and the staff began to be overwhelmed. A couple got up and left as they had not been served and they kept forgetting to get the drink for the lady next to us While service was a bit slow after we had our drinks we didn't mind too much as we were chatting. However the dough balls seemed smaller than I remembered when they arrived and some were cold . The pizzas arrived without a pizza cutter and cutting them with a knife we realised they they were just about warm enough to debate whether to eat them or send them back . They had clearly been waiting to be served to us for a while . We ate them as it would have been a long wait for a replacement. That said the spinach and egg one was very tastyAs we paid up and left the manageress was busy getting a grip on the place Given it was full perhaps we were unlucky but when after we left I asked my husband if next time I should I should get a voucher for the cinema and pizza express as this time or two cinema vouchers he agreed with me the cinema vouchers were better use of our points

Waitress seemed annoyed at my request to sit at a table not of her choosing, she then produced the main menu so we had to ask for the lunch menu, starter arrived which was ok, the the second course howevet was not so good, my friend had the pizza which was nice I had the cannelloni which was nothing like any cannelloni I have had before it was more like a hot strong cheese soup, no offer of a discout so we paid our bill and left, do not think I will return here.

Μετά από την επισκέψή μας στο Dynamic Earth επισκεφθήκαμε την συγκεκριμένη πιτσαρία. Η σερβιτόρος μας βοήθησε να παραγγείλουμε την κατάλληλη επιλογή πιάτων ώστε να έχουμε και κάποιες εκπτώσεις συνολικά. Η καυτερή πίτσα που πήρα εγώ, όσο και οι αντίστοιχες των παιδιών, όπως και τα υπόλοιπα εδέσματα, γλυκά, ήταν νόστιμα και μας άρεσαν πολύ. Κρίμα που πήγαμε την τελευταία ημέρα παραμονής στο Εδιμβούρδο, αλλιώς σίγουρα θα ξαναπηγαίναμε. Τα ποτά, ορεκτικά, σαλάτες ήταν καλά. Ήταν πολύ καλό που είχε και παιδικό γεύμα σε χαμηλότερη προσιτή τιμή, που βολεύει τους γονείς. Αν το όνομα της σερβοτόρου ήταν Pillar την ευχαριστούμε πολύ για την όλη εξυπηρέτησή της. Παρόλο που νομίζαμε ότι ήταν πίτσα fast food, απεναντίας, μας εντυπωσίασε θετικά το αποτέλεσμα.

Lovely gluten free pizza base offered with lots of toppings - staff very knowledgable about coeliac needs and are friendly and helpful. Will definately visit again and highly recommend.

Yo era correr la maratón en Stirling el día siguiente, así que reservamos aquí para tener un lugar garantizado para comer (esperaba que la ciudad muy concurrida debido a la maratón) y para ser sincero, sabían lo que era la comida. La comida está bien, aceptable, sabroso pero bastante pequeñas raciones (tuve dos entrantes y postres- iba a correr un maratón! ) a un precio razonable (excepto por el vino - 7 libras una copa! ? )

The service was very good and the food was too. Nota your normal run of the mill pizzas. But still good.

Era agradable no tener que hacer preguntas sobre requisitos dietéticos. El menú es claro, establecidos con alergenos obvio para vegetarianos, alergias, tuerca y sin gluten. Poder tener opciones también era bueno, sin gluten pizza, así como una opción de pasta risotto y. Yo la pizza, que estaba muy sabroso, agradablemente sorprendido ya que no sabía qué esperar. Tenía el chocolate brownie sin gluten y fue increíble! Buen servicio, atento y amable.

También dos pizzas tipo romano, Polla Forza y que lamentablemente llegaron pero Pianta muy caliente.Normalmente solicitar sustituciones pero el servidor era demasiado rápido para comprobar todo estaba bien, y que era demasiado hambre para esperar otros 10 minutos, así que dejamos ir (que era nuestra culpa! ).Pensé que era extraño el centro comercial estacionamiento cierra en thistle 6:00 en un domingo, así que tuvimos que encontrar aparcamiento en la calle, que no era fácil.En general, fue razonable, pero la próxima vez buscaré la comida antes de acordar es todo correcto.

Cashed in some clubcard points, and booked a table. To be honest, we weren't really expecting all that much, however, we were very pleasantly surprised to find that the food was excellent. Thoroughly enjoyed our starters and main courses. The wine was quite reasonable too.

Only had their thin pizza with a glass of Shiraz, so won't be commenting on the quality of all their food. Pizza was nice but a bit too thin, even for thin crust. Service was OK. Wine was OK and decent value for money.

Ate here as a family just before Christmas. Very good pizzas, well prepared and tasty. Nice decor and good atmosphere. Staff are efficient and friendly. Recommend it.
